I think this is actually the most solid mcr5 proof ever. I’ve gone through many tumblr posts and youtube videos and articles and I think I’ve compiled it PERFECTLY.

MCR recently leaked a song, supposedly off of paper kingdom called “Witch”. Besides the stolen leaks, I’m pretty sure the only ever time this song has surfaced, was in a 2020 mcr video for warner bros.

I found a few things about the meaning of the symbols

with all of the excitement regarding a paper kingdom track (witch) being leaked in full i want us to remember that this album was scrapped for a reason.

the early 2010's were a very dark time for all of the members but as far as im aware namely mikey and gerard. as gerard is typically the one writing the music its important to keep in mind that the reason this album was scrapped was because the concept was weighing on gerards already... turbulent mental health. on top of the eating disorder and relapse the paper kingdom was a concept album about parents grieving their late children. some of them were fathers at that point.

it's perfectly okay to be interested in the paper kingdom as it is an interesting topic and concept for an album (and to want mcr5 as long as you don't get rude about it), but keep in mind why this album was scrapped

Okay but ive been thinkimg about the paper kingdom leak ALOT and it actually starts to feel kinda weird listening to it?? Because the album was scrapped for a reason (with it being too dark and uncomfortable for the members) and we were never meant to hear it because they didnt WANT us to. So i dont think its okay for us to leak this kinda stuff?? I get that the fandom is exited for new stuff surrounding the band, but this just feels wrong. Idk

Not to be a silly guy but I am not listening to the MCR leaks. You guys do that if you want, but if they ever drop MCR5 I want a fresh experience and also if any of those leaks are from Paper Kingdom I will never hear them and I’m okay with that, because they had good reasons for not releasing it.

I will personally not be listening to the (supposed?) leaks although it will eat me alive until I die. MCR are one of the few bands I'm interested in where, although they are not exempt from criticism, I can respect the members as people. And knowing what I know from interviews about the context of TPK's unrelease, I would rather honor the band's vision for their own discography.

Even if I did listen, I wouldn't be able to wholeheartedly enjoy myself because of that guilt in the back of my mind. It would eat away at me more than if I abstained.

This isn't to shame anybody who did or still wants to listen. G Way is not heartbroken on the floor because a teenager listened to his unreleased song from a decade ago. I do think we should all think before we expose ourselves though, not only about what it means to the creators but what it will mean to us.

the leak was intentional. think about it, umbrella academy final season next month, and one of the main themes of the show is loss esp. child loss which we see through allison. It's looking like the main focuses of this season will be Ben and Allison, who both represent child loss on both sides of the issue. idk about y'all but im seeing THE TRUTH!

I was properly bawling my eyes out on a walk listening to Chappell Roan and texting my gf and not even that was getting me out of the breakdown and then I got home to find out about MCR leak. Universe said oh g-d this calls for desperate measures. And this message series ensued with my gf

I just realized MCR used Witch back in 2020 in a promo that Warner Bros put up and deleted and now I’m losing my mind

I sleep for a day and return to Paper Kingdom leaks? I found out about this like 2? Days ago, just as it was or just after happening, and oh boy, it's crazy. I'm gonna rant, so just so we're clear, I'm talking about the ReasonableRadish reddit leak.

On the one hand, it's weird as fuck that people are selling or posting leaked content, don't do that. On the other hand, I've heard people say it could be the band or someone close to them. Obviously, we can't say for sure, but yesterday, the account posted marketing requests from 2014 and has posted Hesitant Alien concepts, so I'm going to lean towards the band/someone close.

Imo it's wrong to pay for or sell leaks. This album was scrapped for a reason, and it seems violating to release content they don't want released.

At the same time, the Radish leak is 3 days old. If it was done illegally by some random guy, it'll likely be taken down soon by a legal team. If it's not, it'll stay up.

Does this mean anything? I've got no clue. I don't think we're getting the Paper Kingdom, be curious all you want, be excited about the possibilities, I don't think you're evil for listening to the song that was leaked, but be respectful. Understand why we didn't get the album, do not go looking for other content, do not buy or sell other content.

And remember, it could be Ai, it could be someone buying and posting content we weren't meant to see. I love the idea it's the band hinting at something, but until that's confirmed, I'm treating it as something Ai generated or bought from somewhere and released. It's cool to think of what might've been or what might come, it's not cool to release content the band doesn't want released.

For real. Everyone being so excited about the leaks feels kinda icky to me idk

personally the leaks were cool to me for like a day. I won’t listen to them though, because if MCR5 even happens, I find it disrespectful to listen to a leak. If it’s confirmed it was purposeful like a band member leaking it to mess with us, whatever. I know some have been around for a bit but I still want to speak on it. Anyway if they were actually planning an album, would you try to invade it?
