I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Halloween. 🎃🦇

I decided to put the illustrations in the order I got them.

My thoughts underneath:

The scenes with the crushes were really cute; I would've preferred them to be more friendship-adjacent. (Wasn't a fan of Jason's, now that I'm looking back at it, tbh. And I could've done with less fanservice in Roy's scene) The illustrations were amazing as always. I'd say Thomas was my favorite and also Amanda's...

The outfits were fun, though I did find the witch outfit too revealing for my taste. The Puppet outfit had a unique concept, it reminded me of the Coraline movie. The bank outfit was also stunning.

The bubble shooter game was fun; I felt very nostalgic as I played a lot of those games growing up.

Negatives: This event all in all is not fair for F2P players. It's pretty much impossible to finish a round with only 7 moves. (As fewer moves give you more tokens). The timer doesn't help either. It should at least be an hour in between each completion of the game. Of course, everyone is going to have a different gaming experience so please let me know if that was possible for you.

500 tokens is a lot for just one draw. This is essentially a gacha game. And given the limited time that this event it running, the only way you can be able to get everything is by paying, which really blows...

Why was there a jumpscare scene in Devon's route included but there was no warning prior? I know it's for Halloween, but a warning would've still been nice. Not everyone is going to be fond of those kinds of things...  😕

How to reset the Halloween mini-game - MCL New Gen Halloween 2024 event

So, guys, I'm sure ya'll have already figured out that refreshing the page to restart the round doesn't do shit. But there is a way to cheat the system 'cause fuck Shitmoov. This only works on PC. So if you're on app... I'm very sorry, idk how to help you. ( UPDATE! Tips from a user on the American forum! Start the game, and if you're not satisfied with the score, turn off the internet before finishing the round. With the internet off, complete the round and then close the app. Turn the internet back on, open the app and you'll be able to replay that round.)

Anyways, the trick is just to use private/incognito mode. That's it. But let me explain more. I used firefox so idk if this works on chrome and edge, I'm going to try later. (edit: tested! Chrome, Edge and Opera all work!) -Open incognito mode > log-in to MCLNG > start playing the mini-game. If you see that you will go past the 7 moves (so you won't be able to get max tokens) just CLOSE all incognito mode windows. Completely close them. DO NOT FINISH THE GAME AND CLOSE ALL OF THE INCOGNITO WINDOWS. - Open incognito mode again > log-in again (if you're still logged-in then something's wrong and you haven't closed all of the browser's windows) > play again. The game will technically resume... but you will actually start back from the start and with a new board. - Repeat until you get lucky and you can finish the game within 7 moves. By doing this (it took me 30/45 minutes for 3 rounds of the game, mind you) I managed to get the max amount of tokens, 1500. And this way you SHOULD be able to get everything in this event (if you play diligently everyday). I hope this has helped someone, even just one person. This event is a tragedy, honestly. I expected nothing from Beemoov... And they still managed to let me down.

Well, after playing the event for a while and doing some calculations.... I can say that the event is pay to win :(

I was really excited for this event, especially since the halloween event is my favorite, but it's horribly expensive. I'm not going to talk about the change in the extra clothes, which used to cost a recharge before and now it's fifteen euros (kill me), because I can half understand it. But it's just that there is absolutely no way to get the rest of the stuff in its entirety if you don't pay. To get it all you would have to get the maximum score in the minigame every time, every day (which is quite complicated). And even then, we wouldn't be able to unlock all the rewards.

I don't understand why these decisions are made, nor why the event is so short, but it feels like they only care about filling their pockets even more instead of giving a good experience to the players. I'm pretty sad, to be honest. It's very frustrating to know that if you don't pay you won't be able to unlock the full event.

Maybe I'll buy the exclusive pack to comfort myself and promise not to buy any more, but I don't know what to do. I don't understand these decisions, it's very sad :(

The difference between LIs plots for the Halloween event 2024 is hilarious

spoilers!!

Roy: wants to do a good job, but be nice to kids (we fix up his makeup)

Thomas: wants to do a good job, prevent everyone from getting to the candy jar (we fix each other's makeup)

Amanda: wants to do a good job, prevent people from getting to the candy jar, wants to scare everyone, but kids only a little and have them have sooome candy (we fix each other's makeup)

Devon: wants to do a good job for future job opportunities, just overall chill (we have to fix an emergency together)

Jason: scares the THE LIVING HELL out of everyone AND we stab him!!!

MCL NG Halloween Event 2024 - Jason Scene

thoughts on the jason scene from the halloween episode and my personal opinion under the cut (beware of spoilers <3):

(just me yapping, as usual)

i mean, disappointed but not surprised.

as a general overview: it was overall very boring, unoriginal following the same theme of ep 6 (is this gonna be a common thing? is this gonna be "their thing"?), and just weird and creepy?

along with episode 7, this is the second instance where ysaline tries to physically harm jason (which is a type of plot point that baffles me in contemporary romance) and this time she actually does? she wounds him (he is described as bleeding and being aa mildly serious cut, somehow a boxcutter managed to tear through clothing and make a considerable gash but thats whatever i guess)? im sorry? this is not the kind of romantic plot that i expected or wanted, i know i joke a lot about these things but i really find it creepy that, again, physically harming the guy im supposed to like is another common theme?

and that brings me to my other issue with the episode, whats the point????? in what moment you decide that it would be a wonderful idea to dress like a serial killer and chase around a woman that is genuinely, actually scared of you right now? maybe im the sensitive mf here but where is the fun in frightening like that (frightening to the point of wanting to stab you ????) someone you allegedly like? (and also reminder that these two *barely*, *hardly* know each other at this point, they're not friends, they're hardly acquaitances) and then just dropping the "haha it was a joke i like that you have courage like that ;) i want you by my side in my company" ? hey just as a little heads up BV, throwing in a cool quote or a fun flirty dialogue and illustration that people will like, right after a questionable scene, doesnt automatically cancel it out yknow

maybe its me that im too critical, maybe its me that i like doing deep dives, maybe its me that im too autistically hooked onto this game to consume it surface level, i dont know

oh yeah, also, i found the episode unbareably boring despite all of this and we have very little actual time with him, which at this point im used to i guess

to end this, and repeatinng points i mentioned before, this is far from what i expected from jason's route when i started this game, i would rather, i would *love* if his route was based around a lot of sexual attraction and mutual hornyness that eventually and slowly develops into a real romance and "oh no i actually have feelings for her/him and its no longer fooling around", than whatever creepy "cat and mouse" game they have now, but anyway

i need to say that the closeness and that hand on the shoulder is doing things to me, wish it had a different context but ill just write my own scenario for it, hopefully before the year 3000 because i still have that episode 7 inspired scene half done swimming in the drafts

Here's the first halloween post!

I made these way before, like the beginning of the month and they sat there waiting. I used LN outfits since the game has the best clothes I've seen.

First is something reminiscing Corpse Bride or at least some sort of ghostly couple that died tragically on their wedding day and now they haunt the earth with the hope that they'll finally get properly married. Well, at least they're together.

Second, is your classic witch who of course is obsessed with cats (not like Danica) and her unlikely friend Mr. Wolf. Playing in Thomas' character a bit (We know Thomas is a menace in canon), they like to terrorize the place and make mischievous potions and spells.

The third one is a classic. Beauty and the Beast. A handsome prince falls for a witch curse and becomes a monstrous beast and only true love from a certain girl *wink* can turn him back. This girl is a bookworm who loves adventures and turns down every man including a certain mean rival CEO.
