Analog Torque Board almost done: board has been cleaned-up, all Molexes replaced with brand-new ones, and trimmers replaced, too. (nice) tinkering was done by previous owner to replace some Molex connections (not all... why??) After three whole days (and one or two others) of work spent searching for sources of this faulty JH-24, decision has been taken to remove all transport cards (including the motherboard) for an thorough clean-up and replacement of ALL female Molexes. Looks like something is definitely wrong on the Analog Torque Board, making the supply motor spin fast in all modes except Play... :-( At least, now the capstan spins again correctly :-) Just had to clean the pins of its power transistors... #MCI #JH24 #MCIJH24 #MCIJH242Inch24Track #MultitrackTapeMachine #24Track2Inches #VintageTapeRecorder #1982 #AnalogMultitrackTapeRecorder #StudioMaintenance #TheGoodDoctorPrager
