Daily Jane Doe, ???

I’m pretty sure @deerdoeb has told me who is Jane is but I forgot/I didn’t write it down in my list of Jane’s I know. I only know 107 Jane’s (probably more I just forgot them) and the reason I put the question mark’s is because idfk know those Jane’s. That’s another reason I do Daily Jane Doe because I’m trying to be more educated and because people like this content and because I honestly like posing Daily Jane’s, but I counted, I know 107 Jane’s, (as of now I do) which this is gonna sound stupid but damn there’s so many productions of RTC like over two hundred I think? Idk like it’s been what two, three years, how many productions can people make like after Arena/McC*rter (yes I block their name because I don’t even want to think about them) but yeah I’ve been rambling for a four minutes now and I have a class at 10, also I have state testing on the 24th and 25th and then my spring break is the week after and where I live it’s like a two hour drive to do the state testing, I just I hope I don’t see anyone I know from my class and no one talks to me. Also I’ve wrote the entire (not actually entire) script of RTC the day before yesterday then yesterday, it took me two days bro 😭 but i put twists on it and it’s my own script. I’m not gonna post it on here but yeah, two days to write a script for my au. I’m still tired…anyways here’s daily Jane.

ok this piece is like severely lacking an explanation so! info under the cut :3

this jane is mostly based on ashlyn maddox's (mcc*rter theatre's...) jane!! my fav jane ever tbh

she's revived as savannah dean (she/they)

(penny lamb is separate from savannah! maybe she's her past life, maybe she isn't, it's not really that important i think)

savannah (or ann, if savannah is too much of a mouthful) doesn't remember the events of rtc

but! she does get flashbacks of it at times,, familiar warehouses, names that are just on the tip of her tongue, that feeling of floating and falling....

savannah ends up dying in a road accident,,,

but! they get into another one of those revival games and that's when they start putting the pieces together

that's kind of what i wanted to portray in the art :3 in the story, the characters visit the scene of the accident, and the chaos is enough to recall a bit of the cyclone (does that count as a spoiler?? we haven't gotten to writing that part oops)

savannah's creation process was aided (carried really) by sam @thear0acespace!!! we + our other friends have a whole story planned for her,, being made slowly but surely,,, (yes this is a shameless promo go check out @beepbeepbeepjeep)

BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH THE CCCC MUSICAL IDEAS YALL!!!!

Spring and a Storm is canonically a Soul song buutttt, it's an musical adaptation!! We can mess around a bit!! So the idea I had is that Soul is basically trying to clear the air between Mind and Heart (as a rift is already beginning to start again between them), and while snooping around for something that could bring them together in Mind's room (because memories are stored in the mind/brain and all that-), he stumbles across a memory in the form of a VHS tape labeled "love song". What better way to bring your brothers together and unite them with a common goal than a love song right? So Soul plays the tape, Heart is prideful because it's his work showing (proving to Mind that he's useful!) when suddenly the tape ends! Soul and Heart (yes only those two, because Mind, with his blue, logical butt, doesn't get the appeal of the love song (good ol fashioned foreshadowing for Storm and a Spring later on)) ponder briefly before deciding to just..finish it up themselves! Thus we get some cute springtime imagery and umbrella choreography (to mirror Storm and a Spring) and Mind looking uninterested in the back. I got this idea from the fact that the first minute or so sounds kinda low quality compared to the rest of it. So my thought was...VHS tape!

There's what i can best describe as a wall of lights in the back of the stage. Think of something similar to the wall of lights in Diana the Musical.

So basically throughout the show (notably in Dream, Night, Light, and The Soul Eclectic), the Wall of Lights is in action!

During Night, HMS are dressed in the OTHER colors they are associated with (Soul in grey, Mind in white, and Heart in black)

The boys are having an absolute blast during Variations on a Cloud; they can start an audience clap-along as a treat.

During VOAC, the boys and the ensemble are holding glowing prop clouds, think of something like the McC*rter version of Sugar Cloud from Ride the Cyclone!

During The Bidding, the set is made to resemble an auction house. With each verse Heart and Mind sing (Soul is the auctioneer so he doesn't participate) they slam color-coded currency (Heart gets purple and black dollars, Mind gets white and blue dollars, the ensemble gets gray, red, and gold (to represent Whole) dollars) down on a table perhaps, until Heart tries to attack Mind during the "And here he is, the piece of shit, sitting, seething, high atop his stolen throne" bit.

During the "See how the serfs work the ground..." bit in "The Soul Eclectic", Soul gestures towards either the band/orchestra in the pit (or onstage!) or to the audience.

I love how basically each and every ride the cyclone production ships Jane with another character. Sometimes it’ll be SpaceDolls (Like McC*rter theatre) and other times it’s SugarDolls (Like Opera Wyoming). I just find it funny how almost each and every one of them just throws Jane into a “relationship” (most only hint at it or are platonic but still😤)

Tell me I’m wrong. I dare you.

Day 71: McC*rter Ocean looking incredibly shocked

ride the crimeclone (or just crimeclone) is the production of rtc that i have planned out in my head that i will never be able to put on bc i have changed parts of the script and putting it on would be Wildly Illegal, hence the name crimeclone

i jumped around the show a lot making these in my sketchbook and im going around my sketchbook too so its a little all over the place but!!

jane has contacts that make it look like her eyes are buttons

she has the doll in her pocket the whole show but the stuffing is falling out of it so ocean trails behind her and cleans it up

"my song--(leans down to pick up fluff)--was a cautionary tale--(leans down)--of hubris.(leans down, shoves fluff into her pocket)"

before the new birthday song when everyone brings the outfit ricky brings jane her doll and jane hugs the doll and its a very sweet moment

janes makeup is done to look like she has a patch on her face

all her movements look very choreographed until "and im asking why lord" and then she just goes apeshit. she is so fucking mad

like i said earlier it has the energy of sam pauly's all you wanna do

i genuinely dont know how to put this into words but the lights on the umbrellas like. circle?

you know those people who sync up their christmas lights to the radio and it looks like pieces of light are moving up the sidewalks? that but in a circle

the outfit ricky quick changes into during sabm is So Glittery its almost obnoxious

the shirt is partially unbuttoned too

the implication is that he didnt have time to rebutton it after the cat sex

i also think the cat sex is a pre recorded projection so that theres enough time for the quick change bc i still want ricky to come out on "for theyre at war with canine"

i think he has the electric guitar the whole last section too and i want it to be strapped to his cane

idk why i just think itd be fun

oh also we keep lets get real space babies and dont be a dick

and its the version where ricky is actually disabled but i think that goes without saying

and while were at it keep love conquers all it is a CRIME that they removed it

i think thats all i have to say for now so heres my costume design stuff

oh i should elaborate on the noels lament skirts huh

ok so the skirt for the uniform is long so it spins out a lot, think the talia dresses but more pleated and less flowy, and the underside is red so during noels lament they can pin it up to look shorter in the front,, it looks weird in the drawing and i think it sounds weird but ive done it with my big skirts irl and it looks cool so. yeah

ill reblog with more stuff eventually but im writing this out at midnight and im tired so no more right now

My Ride The Cyclone opinions

(I’m not even gonna put a disclaimer for this because…that’s too much work)

(trigger warning for anyone who needs it, I talk about &bleism, De&th threats, and other things of that nature)

Kholby Wardell is a horrible person, and I wish people would stop saying “oh but he said his mother has disabilities so he’s not ableist” (I could be wrong, I read it on a website or something) no, you can be ableist and still have people with disabilities in your life (Go to @deerdoeb ‘s blog to save Ricky Potts/Yannak, they have a wedsite to sign a petition)

You can ship whatever you what’s a long as it isn’t Noel & Any Girl (platonic is fine/Friendship)

Your favorite production can be Off-Broadway just don’t hate on other shows

McC&rter theater is horrible and no fucking one should support it (I think their Jane is very pretty but that all I like about it, I will never ever, ever fucking support it)

Nischa is a good ship but it isn’t that great to where when I said I liked EggDolls (Mischa & Jane) I got de&th threats because I didn’t ship Nischa

I also shouldn’t get De&th threats for not liking ocean and thinking she’s a horrible person. (All of the de&th threats and stuff happened on TikTok but I no longer go on there and I deleted the app because it was hurting my mental health)

i am scared to post my idea because apparently people REALLY hate when ricky is not wearing a full cats the musical fit?? like ive seen tiktoks about how the mcc*rter costume is a “disgrace to the character” because it isnt over the top enough. like man. not everything fits one concept, i really liked the costuming for that version it was one of my favorites actualy!!! i think it worked so well for that interpretation of the character and it was so much fun..

honest opinions on the holy trinity of mischas? chaz duffy, gus halper, adam standly. (whos ur fav and whos song do u like best?)

I think they're all great!! While I do have a favorite Mischa that isn't part of the trinity (Eli Mayer, McC*rter and Ar*na Stage), i think Gus is my favorite out of the holy trinity.

But I definitely enjoy Chaz's energy and how Adam's Mischa is a bit awkward at times. While Chaz and Gus's Mischas are better at keeping up their gangster personas, Adam's Mischa is a little more dialed back and his true self peeks through a lot more.

While Gus is my favorite out of the trinity, I think Chaz' version of TSIA is my favorite! It's super fun and high-energy, and Lillian (Constance) and Scott (Ricky) sound especially good in Atlanta as well! :)
