Going through fall/Halloween blogs feels like an impossible slog. So many use uncredited images, or AI images. And the tagging is atrocious. I'm sorry, but how is a photo of McDonald's McBoo pails "dark academia"? It isn't, and you know it isn't.

So, got a McDonald’s McBoo pail- and I can see what the fuss was about the lids- there isn’t a lid. There’s this piece of nonfunctional plastic across the handle that makes getting the food out a little bit tricky and I can see no reason for that. They aren’t ribbed like the originals- the plastic is smooth and slightly lighter. I've spent hours arranging stuff on this new shelf. Mostly my spooky books from childhood, nostalgia books, and various other things. And some early visual kei/j-rock stuff. However, I can't even see my McBoo pails head on. And I thought I'd have space for the Goosebumps, Shivers, Spooksville, and Fright Time collections, but nope. They're stuck with my main bookshelves.

I've pretty much never gotten rid of any book since I got my first one in 1985 (which I still have), until I started buying books as an adult. And it's nice to be a saver and pack rat, so now I can enjoy these things long after they're off the market. I think I need another shelf, though. Maybe if I cull the herd on my shelf of books-to-read...
