( via Review: 'When I Fly Towards You' C-drama (2023))
When I Fly Towards You C-drama is a package of everything. Everything is shown so beautifully from childhood to their marriage that I wish I could rewatch it for the first time.
Talking about Su Zai Zai, she is a girl's girl. She has an inner child in her and the way she is so bubbly all the time makes her character so adorable. But she is so mature and loving which speaks out for her innocence. On the other hand, Zhang Lu Rang is a green flag. It is hard to find a lead who is cold-hearted but at the same time respects the FMC without saying harsh words to her but again he is an exception. He is cool and calm and loves to adore Su Zai Zai.
OMG, their chemistry is amazing. Even after getting into a relationship Su Zai Zai is still the same because Zhang Lu Rang loves her the way she is. There are scenes where he is so grateful to have a partner who understands him without words. Their confession scene is so good like their story is calm and beautiful. And the proposal is endearing that's all I am going to say, it's so heartwarming I still remember screaming because it's hard to find that in real life.

(via We will never be happy...)
Life is unfair, we all know that, and it’s okay to complain about it; however, will it change anything? Yes, we might feel better, and it’s totally fine to pour out our feelings, but until when?
When something happens in my life out of the sudden, I always ask myself after panicking, what’s worse that could happen? And I remember all my old times when I dealt with so many things, and I survived, which is the biggest thing. I have learned that we humans always think first so negatively that it takes all of our energy to think positively. As an adult, I have learned that I have to make my life however I want it to be, tough, but that is what life is all about; life will never be easy until we stop overthinking it.
Life will drag you across the dirty roads, but it is you who will stand up, shrug off that dirt and carry forward. When I realised the facts about me and how much I overthink things, the sudden realisation happened when I got the chance to be happy in my life. We will never be happy if we overlook things that we already have. No human has everything; there are certain aspects that everyone lacks, but what about those things that we have, like the privilege to sleep, just the smallest thing that we take for granted?
Life is not only about achieving things but also appreciating what we already have. We will never be happy if we look at the negative side of life. Life is unfair, but it is you who will make it fair for yourself. If you think that life will automatically become fair, you are in serious denial; you have to work for it. I know it is hard, but you are the strongest soldier out there who knows exactly what they want, so go for it, otherwise, you will never be happy…

(via Pause)
Taking a break is so important that we often think it’s like wasting our time, but no, because just like physical being is important, our mental state also needs a rest. Ironically, we are so busy in life that we have to think about taking a break from our routine. Obviously, it is not easy to just say and the mind will shut down, but think about it in a way by asking yourself questions about how much you need it. Everything needs a reset, the same with your mind and body.
When we continue to do work in auto mode, we become tired and drained, the life starts to become more stressful than it already is. That is why pausing is very important as it helps you enjoy your life, and you can take a deep breath peacefully. What does pause actually mean?
According to me, having a big breakfast without hurrying to get back to work, taking a slow walk to a favorite cafe or bookstore, or maybe just sleeping and watching FRIENDS. Things that bring you happiness from inside that will help you rebuild your vision for life are why taking a pause is important. Remember, in life, we have to look far ahead, so taking a pause in between will help you reach it slowly but happily. Sp of you were thinking of taking a pause but are unable to just do it and you will thank yourself later.

(via Whatever happens, happens for a reason!)
I have always been someone who gets stuck at the weirdest point in my life, where I have so many things to do. And I do stress a lot about how I am going to do it, or I have to leave something behind and then regret basically making a choice. However, in all those situations, I have realised how doors get opened for me to navigate everything and not make a choice. Right now, I am in that situation, but yesterday everything worked out, making me so grateful that maybe it was my destiny to choose everything and do whatever I wanted without leaving anything behind.
I have noticed that if I leave anything behind, the guilt is so bad, and it makes me wonder why I was not strong enough to do it. Maybe the result might be the same, but at least I tried. This makes me come to a realisation that whatever happens, happens for a reason, be it negative or positive. If life closes one door, that always means it will open another one in front of us unexpectedly. I am writing about my experience, which has always happened in my life.
I get so afraid to take the challenges, and saying no seems easy, but when I actually do it makes me think how capable I am. If we look at life, it's not a villain, but how we think about our life is what makes the difference. Whatever happens, happens for a reason. I always think about it like that, and it makes me feel so powerful about myself because I am taking on challenges and doing them no matter what the result is.
If we take a situation that I think everyone has faced at least once in their life about how much we wanted something that didn't work out and we feel like a failure but maybe there is something else that you were made for, just like I said it's about our thinking that makes all the difference. So remember, whatever happens, happens for a reason!

(via There is no hero in the world except…)
There is no hero in the world except yourself. It is very common for everyone to love a hero; however, if you want to become a hero in your life, you need to be a villain in everyone’s life because that’s how it works. I feel like the world makes us feel bad if we are selfish for ourselves, our needs and the future we want. If people like what you’re doing, they will be delighted, but maybe that’s not what you want. Maybe you want something else, and if the world doesn’t like it, they will show you as the villain.
I still don’t understand why people can’t mind their own business. It’s the 21st century, people need to grow up. I am someone who wants to stay away from people’s business as much as possible because I am too busy to deal with my own. If you want to become the hero of your life, then you will most definitely become someone else’s villain, and that’s okay. We are in this world to live our lives, not to care what others think. If we start caring about what others think, then we will become villains in our story.
But if you need to become a villain in others’ eyes at the cost of your happiness, do it because others won’t think twice before throwing you in the puddle. Be the hero of your own life, do whatever brings you happiness. I think living with the motto of creating the future for yourself, irrespective of what others say, is one of the strongest things a person can do for themselves. If you want to do it, just do it, the world is always going to say.
It’s your life, and whatever you want, you need to earn that by being the hero, which might make you the villain in others’ eyes, but who cares? You only live once, and leave the people who make you feel that you are the villain in your own life. What matters to you, what makes sense to you, doesn’t mean it should make sense to the world. You need to be happy; that’s all that matters, and believe me, it’s going to be okay because there is no hero in the world except…

(via Book Review: None of this is True by Lisa Jewell)
My Rating: 4/5
I came straight after reading the book to write my review because I felt insane about what I just read minutes ago. This book is insane, and my head is spinning at a high rate.
Let’s start with the character of Alix. I can’t believe she is a famous podcaster who interviews so many people and can’t even tell how a person is. I found Alix’s character to be so unrealistic that I hated her; she was the reason why things turned out that way in the end. She is such a famous podcaster and has a family, and she is so okay with inviting a random lady she met by accident just a few days ago to her house and letting her stay as well. I wanted to throw the book at her because she meets so many people and can’t tell a person’s nature, that’s impossible. Definitely the dumb character in the thriller I hate, and guess what, she is also the main character. She is to blame for everything, by the way.
Josie, what a character! She is someone who will gaslight and manipulate people so easily, but only a naive person like Alix, the famous podcaster, will believe it. The author has not exactly gone into her mind, but very simply, through her talks, we get to know her character. Then, too, her character was intense to read. The end was unexpected, actually, that’s more like the plot twist. We might think Josie is the main character, but no, it’s Alix as she gets tangled in her own mess she created, and she can’t even clean that up ever.
The plot is excellent. I won’t say there are any plot twists because it’s very clear what is happening. I think it’s more frustrating to see Alix’s character and realise how dumb she could be given her profession. The book is very fast-paced, and I read it in less than 24 hours. The second half of the book was pretty intense and thrilling.
The book is more like a warning than a thriller about how we should never trust a stranger and not bring them home if we have a family, because we never know what that stranger can do, and it can lead to a forever loss like what happened to Alix.
There are no plot twists, everything is clear as water; however, the last ending, OMG, is what made my mind go spinning because wow. It was definitely unexpected, and in a thriller, we never trust any person, no matter what, and that’s what the ending says.
I highly recommend this book.

(via places hold memories)
The things and the places we used to look at as a kid and now as an adult are the same, but what changed is us; our interpretation has changed. That's why memories are so important, they bring us so much peace when we visit places where we have spent such a good time. I never really understood or knew until I visited the place, and then it hit me how much older I have become.
The places I once visited with my mom are now places I visit alone, and I'm filled with so many thoughts. And just like that, we grow up, leave the places behind that were once our way to spend time, and now we are looking at places to escape the hectic life of adulthood. What is it like visiting the place after so many years and remembering the life we once lived, and now everything has changed?
When I visited the place a few days ago, I looked like a tourist as my eyes were wide and my heart felt heavy. How the time has changed, and I have grown up to be an adult. That's how life is, we look back and realise that's the best time we have spent, and I think that's the whole point, we should create memories that one day we look back and see how happy we were, and there is no regret left behind of not spending time right.
So all the adults out there, this time will not come back again, so make sure you try to enjoy it as much as you can.

(via Health)
When you are healthy mentally and physically, you can do anything. Just like we talk about how important mental health is in the exact way physical health is, it is just as important. I have been busy studying non-stop for the competitive exam, and I have realised how much I need to rest my body. I have been studying while putting pressure on my body, and now I’m stressed. Balancing is so important, I need to study as well as keep my body moving, like working out or simply walking.
I don’t need to go fast and get stuck, but I need to walk and go on for a long time. And this happens when I know how to balance my life, like prioritising my mental and physical health. Health is a luxury, and it is such a blessing to wake up and do things that we had planned the day before. Just like life, health is also unpredictable, and we need to prioritise it as much as we can.
Money is money, but health is also wealth. If we are healthy, we can move and earn a living as well as live the life we always wanted. A healthy mind and a healthy body will create a healthy lifestyle, which everyone wants, so that is why it is important to learn how to take care of the body.
Listening to your body and stopping when you know that it’s getting out of hand before it goes out of hand, as it will make you tired for days, and things will stretch for a long time. Just like any career and responsibility, health is equally or more important, so please take care of it.

(via Book Review: The Right Move (Windy City Series #2) by Liz Tomforde)
Rating: 3/5
Ryan Shay healed this series for me. I liked him so much because of the way he was. I liked that whatever happened to him, he didn't turn worse, but handled it really well. What happened to him was so out of the box, I was not expecting it, but it shows he was the green flag from the start. He is caring and lovable, a male lead hard to find. He is a standard book boyfriend who knows what his girls want; he is a perfect act of service to exist.
Indy Ivers' character was amazing. I found her amusing, and her thoughts always made me laugh. I liked that she was so understanding about living with Ryan rather than being arrogant about it. I liked that I did not see any arrogance in this book. She is beautiful inside and outside, I liked how confident she is in herself.
The chemistry is really great too. The bickering and the tension, and I liked that there was nothing forced between them, but it came naturally. His care for her was enduring, and her understanding of him is what we call an understanding couple.
Just like the first book, there is nothing about basketball in the book, which was disappointing. The last part was okay, so basically, both talked about each other's flaws, and still, they had a misunderstanding about the same. I hated it to the core. The ending, to be honest, I had enough with this book. At the 75% mark, I had enough because that would be the perfect ending, but no, the remaining 25% was just a misunderstanding of things that they had already talked about. I think the biggest complaint of mine from this series is that it is too long, and I get bored.
In the end, I found the book all over the place, and my interest went below zero. The plot was nice and definitely out of the box. But I don't know why stars need to take instructions about how to live their personal life from the team that didn't sit right with me. According to me, it was really good in the beginning, but again, in the end, I wanted to get over it equally. Because I got bored, there is nothing that I remember and would highly recommend. My biggest pet peeve is long chapters and long books, especially in romance. Maybe that is the reason I liked it, but just not much.
Give it a try if you want. Will say Ryan Shay is the ultimate book boyfriend.

(via Review: 'Vincenzo' K-drama (2021))
Vincenzo is one of my favourite fictional characters, he is handsome duh, but honestly, he has control over how to deal with people and circumstances. He knows some problems are inevitable and he will face them and how he smartly has many plans to deal with so I think that really made him stand out.
The main heroes of the drama, the Geumga Plaza family or the Cassano family and how each of them helped and stood with Vincenzo till the end. The bond they created with Vincenzo and Hong Cha-young was so beautiful and the main star of the show. Then comes Jan Han-seo, he and Vincenzo created a brotherhood that he could not find in his own brother. Ahn Gi-seok, we need to be forever grateful for him and the way he helped Vincenzo. The whole family stood as a shield for Vincenzo, their cornsalad and protected him with their life and it was so heartwarming to watch. Special shout out to Inzagi if you know you know.

(via Book Review: Grave Matter by Karina Halle)
My Rating: 4/5 (Please check trigger warnings.)
Seriously, it is one of the most underrated books I have read. The book Grave Matter by Karina Halle is a gothic fiction, psychological thriller, and science fiction and OMG, what a book it was.
Let’s start with the character of Sydney Denik. Just like every horror book, she is very dumb. Seriously, there is no single cell left in her brain. I thought she would be smart at first, but boy, I was so wrong. The entire book is in her POV, and I felt that I was in her brain. I wouldn’t say she was a complex character, but what was happening to her was definitely creepy. The book is more focused on the plot rather than the character, so there is nothing more to say about Sydney.
Then we have Wes, the MMC, and as I said, the book is in Sydney’s POV there was nothing much about his character. However, through her POV, we get to know how obsessive he was. Through him, we only get to see the love he had for Sydney; the boy did everything for Sydney. They have great chemistry, and the instant connection they felt was definitely a spoiler.
Now, the main thing that kept me hooked to the book was the PLOT. There was not a single moment in the book where I was bored because Karina Halle’s writing was so intriguing and fast-paced. The plot was outstanding, and even though there were technical terms as it is science fiction however everything was written so easily that I understood it so well. I understood what was happening pretty much early in the book but still, the end plot twist I didn’t see it coming at all.
I truly enjoyed the vibe of the book and the ending as well. The plot is complex, but the writing isn’t, so I think that was the reason I vibed with the book. There was so much creepiness, and at one point, I was truly confused if Sydney would ever make it alive or not. The book was perfectly balanced with mystery, romance, sci-fi, and horror, which made the storyline interesting.
If you would like to read a mixture of horror romance and science fiction, I highly recommend this book.
