I have a new favorite podcast, and I finally finished my fanart series for season 1🩵✨ If y’all enjoy D&D or just really good storytelling, you should check out Make Believe Heroes! It’s SO GOOD!! The role-play is awesome, the worldbuilding is incredible, the players and the characters are all great, oh—and it’s family friendly, so there isn’t the insane amount of cussing and other inappropriate content that usually plagues D&D podcasts. Definitely worth a listen! Season one blew my mind, and season 2 was just as good. I’m currently a few episodes into season 3, and I am still loving every minute of it!
Going from left to right, we have: Lauric Darkbolt, the high elf wizard; Jemaliel “Jem” Kartdth, the half-elf warlock; Sir Vance Oftawol, the human paladin; Kellen Dimble, the gnome ranger/druid (& Charlie the Bear); and Guy Clark, the human retainer-turned-apprentice wizard. I love each and every one of these boys 🫶

My relisten of Make Believe Heroes Podcast Season 1 continues, and I noticed something in ep 4
It was at this moment in the episode (screenshot below) that Paul (the DM) accurately predicted the events of the finale. And, to be clear, what he predicted was player character role-playing decisions that he has no control over--not story stuff that he, as the DM, would have been in the position to know anyway.
It was both heart-rending and humorous to come across, but obviously, don't look this moment up unless you have listened to the finale because *spoilers*

Lauric Darkbolt, the elven wizard from the Make Believe Heroes Podcast’s season 1. Lauric was probably my favorite character from season 1. His journey was wonderful, and I loved seeing him grow as a person. My goal is to eventually draw portraits for all five of season 1’s main cast🩵

Evening doodle of Juniper, the gnome wizard, from s2 of the Make Believe Heroes podcast. I love her, okay? She’s one of my absolute favorite NPCs in the show And I am SERIOUSLY invested in the Juniper x Kyorg ship

Season 2 character portraits for my Make Believe Heroes Podcast fanart series are complete!! These were so SO much fun, and I feel like I’ve grown a ton working on this series. I finished season 4 today, and I can’t wait to dive into season 5! The story this podcast tells is so beautiful and imaginative. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend it!! Even if you aren’t into D&D, it’s still a fantastic story and well worth a listen. Think of it like an improv audio drama.
From left to right, we have: Mysk-Iso-Dah, the tiefling bard; Kyorg, the half-orc fighter; Brackle Zelyeltias, the human ranger; Sut-Sar-Is/“Saul”, the tiefling rogue; and Myles Maywood, the halfling wizard with mint-green skin.

fanfic writer question game!!! tagged by @catlady5001!! thanks for that this looks super cool!! (and I love talking about myself dhksdh)
Names: griffin!!! actually I’m granny-griffin on like every platform I use (but sometimes it’s an underscore instead of a dash)
Fandoms: bnha is my current brainrot but I’ve written for httyd books, yona of the dawn and mbhpodcast. honestly I’m surprised I haven’t done a legend of zelda fic yet
Where You Post: ao3!!
Most Popular Oneshot (by kudos): As Water Wears Away Stones — it’s a bittersweet dadmight future fic which I was honestly feeling pretty meh about before I posted but it seems to have resonated with basically everyone
Most Popular Multichapter (by kudos): A Word Was Brought To Me — dreamscape dekusquad OFA reveal! I wrote it while stuck in isolation in my room right before Christmas. The daydream it came from was pretty epic but the fic is very crack
Favorite Story I’ve Written: easily Never Fade — it’s my bnha fantasy au!! Also written while in isolation, but this time right after christmas. I don’t think I’ve ever churned out 7k in a week before, the idea kind of possesed me and I didn’t have anything else to do
Fic You Were Nervous To Post: Words — I always intended to do an Ibara-centric fic at some point. I kinda felt like it was my duty as a Christian bnha fanfic writer since I would be able to draw from my own experience to write her character hdskhd but yeah I was a little nervous that people would not want to hear a Christian perspective and that they would get mad at me but actually most people just ignored it so we’re good
How Do You Choose Your Titles: if I can’t think of something suitably poetic that contains the crux of the fic then I just go for a line of poetry—ranging from english bnha op cover lyrics to the Actual Bible
Do You Outline? mentally, yes
Complete: I have a bunch of complete fics because I write a lot of oneshots
In Progress: I don’t abandon fics I just take my time. Yes, even Chasing the Sun. I’m getting there hdkshd
Coming Soon: A Logical Bruise ch 3
Not Started: uh firefletch says I have to write the paperwork shenanigans daydream I wrote in that ask earlier so probably that
Upcoming Work You’re Most Excited About: idk I lost an hour to daydreaming about a never fade sequel the other day so maybe that? we’ll see if I have time this christmas
tagging @quizzicalcrow @withstarryeyes @readerofthewilderwest @u-are-a-conspiracy-theorist @pastelfeatheredmask @pikachuketchup1207 and anybody else who wants to!
#if i tagged you feel free to ignore#this is a FUN thing only do it if you would have fun#bnha#my fanworks
