MBB devient l’événement et le rendez-vous intercommunautaire incontournable à Bruxelles valorisant les jeunes issus des diversités.Pour cette deuxième édition, 9 jeunes hommes, âgés de 23 à 36 ans, étudiants, mannequins, ou en activités, prétendaient au titre de MBB 2017. C’est Stéphane Dolius, l’apollon des îles, avec son projet de lutte et d’engagement pour la reconnaissance des droits des homosexuels qui a été élu  Mister Black Belguim 2017, au Casino Viage à Bruxelles.

Il  participera à “Men Universe 2017” du 7 juin 2017 au 17 juin 2017 en République Dominicaine.

Le rendez-vous est donc déjà pris pour le samedi 28 Avril 2018 pour la 3ième édition de MBB2018.

Artist and Beta Sign-ups

Hey guys!! Author sign-ups closed a few days ago, but we will still be accepting more betas and artists!

Remember, your art can be anything you want! Drawings, paintings, edits, manips, fanmixes, fanvids, whatever you can think of!! We just really need enough artists for our fics to all get an accompanying art piece. You get to choose the fic you make art for, and can even choose more than one if anyone requests to do so.

Betas, you will be randomly assigned fics to edit, based on your age and the content of the fic. The authors got the opportunity to ask what they want you to look out for, so it’s easier to manage.

Yeah, those are weird. You said:

And to answer that: The fics are due for submission ten days before posting. They will be posted on September 29th. However, because people may run over/forget to submit/not submit correctly/have content that still needs to be edited/etc we really need those ten days to be there so that we have time to address any problems. Before summary submissions closed we had to track down at least a dozen people to remind them and the same with when were finding betas and artists. It’s just simpler than scrambling at the last minute. I hope this clears up any confusion. If not, please feel free to tell me where I lost you!

Follow-up to my previous question, the one about due dates - we never received a clear answer about when the art is due. Is it due on the 19th with the fics, or on the 29th when everything gets published?

The only reason fics are due the 19th is because we want a chance to read through the content and kind of beta it ourselves. Since we don’t need to do that with the art, the art is due on the final due date.

That said, if we don’t/didn’t say something was due prior to the final due date then just assume it’s not due til that final date. Which yeah I know- assuming makes an ass out of you and me, blah blah blah, but if something was due sooner we would have made sure you all knew.

How should we be sharing our fics with you when they're ready? How will the works be posted on the 29th? Will we be able to have them linked to our AO3 accounts?

hi, quick question about the deadline for the big bang! i saw in an ask you answered that the deadline is september 19, but the guidelines post says september 29. has the date changed since the guidelines post or is it still the 29th?

The deadline is September 19, but the fics will not be posted until the 29, yes. This gives us time to share your final works with your betas/go through them ourselves/make sure everyone is accounted for/etc. Sorry for the confusion.

since you're busy, why don't you just set up the beta readers the same way you did the artists? where the betas choose their fic of choice? just include the things like rating and possible warnings in the description? maybe make seperate lists for the over and under 18 ages so you dont end up with the over 18 taking all of the under 18 fics and leaving any under 18 betas without a fic to beta. Just a thought to make it easier on everyone.

I thought about this! But in all honesty, it took forever for fics to be claimed, and some (I believe) still remain that way. So really it would be simpler and faster for us to put authors with betas ourselves instead of trying to wrangle over 50 different people to organize themselves. We just need time for both of us to be available.
