i'm with you about the season taking a while I really don't understand why people get so bothered by it lol and covid + the strikes had a way bigger impact than folks care to admit. a show of that size, with that much cgi and not many practical effects takes a LOT of time. even a 6 months delay has major impact and we're talking about almost 2 years of delays. Not to mention that is a huge cast where most of them got pretty famous and in demand due to the show so they're definitely having to film around everyone's schedule which is probably taking more time to film - like half of the cast had other movies + promo to do. then we have the ones that have music careers as well and like a life; personal stuff, like MBB, for example, who is getting married... aaaand they need breaks. they don't work 9-5 like most folks do (and i'm not saying this like woe is me because they get paid good money for this, but still). some days they're filming for 10+ hours every day of the week, ya know?

but anyways if the pandemic and the strikes hadn't happened i'm positive the show would've been done by now

teaser talk... dead surprised that brazilian dub had the guts to post that! surely its not allowed?? i really hope no leaks come from post prod, i will have to be offline from march to nov if so. ugh.

but also, my mom came to me randomly one day and said that she thinks i might be right, and its will's time to shine in s5, and el is old news lol. she had previously not thought will to be that important. i showed her the bts s5 video and also those new pics of doe eyed will looking up, and she didnt even recognise him cos he looks 'so grown up'. she was very excited by seeing all the boys (of the cafeteria pic of them: "mike looks very thin, unhappy, very gaunt") and also jonathan is her overall fav.

I hope it's not spoilers and that people keep their mouth shut if they're working on the show for any little thing. It was one thing to be deep into following the filming process online and analyzing things that were literally able to be seen because they were filming out in the open - these things happen on major film/TV sets and you'll see it all if you're in fandom. Things actually leaked and meant to be secret - this I don't want to know. It's meant to be locked down until airing. I don't actually want real shit spoiled now. What's done is done and we can wait. Less than a year away.

From what I've gathered, the VA might have shared El lines - she's MBB's dub actress. Very well could be lines from MBB's movie that should also have a release soon - I think it's called Electric State or something. It might be from there. Or, hell, sure. It's Stranger Things. Equally possible. It's annoying to me if so, just because it set a precedent that people are going to spill things. I like theorizing and speculating. I don't personally need more real things told to us. Miss us with all that.

Lovely to hear when people are recognizing Will's role, though. Great when people see where the story was naturally leading. I think even without the theorizing from the filming stuff and promo and all the extra stuff we've seen - the narrative of the show itself leads one to see that a satisfying story arc is to now draw Will into the spot light. The extras do help, though, very much so. Everything we've seen only reinforces where a casual view might have missed. The BTS and everything featuring Will so much still blows my mind. Backs up all we theorize. So happy.

And I love that Jonathan is your mom's fave? Not the most common favorite character and he's so great and deserves more love! Very cool.

do we think milie was at wrap? i cant see why not. even if you disagreed with the character arc, its an ensemble show so its not about personal actor coverage. i cant believe she'd un-associate herself with it when its not even done yet. promo etc are part of the job. and as for a party... unless i had major fallings out, i would go to a final celebration for any work event or graduation etc, even if i was ready to move on. one last hurrah?

MBB was apparently proven to be in NYC during the time of the wrap party. Not there. I clicked around and to be honest, did not do a deep dive, but it does seem she was in New York.

I think the girl moved on a long time ago and that's her prerogative and it is what it is at this point. Personal feelings about her aside, positive or negative, and whether it really matters in the end - but I think that season 5 was a passion project for most of the cast and for her it was closing out the contractual obligation of a job. That's the industry, sometimes. It's ok to admit the possible reality.
