When you outgrow your series after 2 books 😞
#writing#novel#i started a series#i wrote like 5 or so novels#only 2 published#another was but i unpubd bc bad review#it and other prequel posted on ao3 tho#i took the 3rd of that prequel trilogy off bc i thought it should go another way#as often happens AFTER i finish#now im like..#maybe this series has no potential and i should do sth totally dif#rip 2011 me#that summer ... :(#should have gained momentum from there#rather than failing#i think main problem is the main world#didnt seem convincingly real enough#it was too weird w not enough groundinf#didnt make sense didnt feel organic#maybe bc city#worked in the other world...#but. how can i use character from 1st world if that world isnt working#even if i only mention it i will know it doesnt seem real and will affect the story#detach 2nd world from story... but then have to detach mc from 1st world...#i love him not his world#aaaaaaaaagh
