Maybe a fic where Cold! Reader has been letting her softer side show around Spencer, and one day when she lets a smile slip he tries to tell her that he likes her smile??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE SMILE THAT SLIPPED — SPENCER REID!
you don’t feel things like this. you don’t. ever. except maybe you actually do.
spencer reid x cold!reader | 2.4k | fluff | cold!reader masterlist.
main masterlist.
a/n— this came out to exactly 2400 words and it’s so satisfying
Tumblr media
The bullpen is quieter than usual.
The exhaustion of a closed case hangs in the air, making the usual rustling of paperwork and distant hum of conversation feel almost comforting. You sit at your desk, the last few reports in front of you, fingers idly toying with your pen as you force yourself to focus.
It’s late, but no one’s rushing to leave. The team lingers, unwinding in the way they always do after a case—half-finished conversations, shared glances, a collective sense of relief.
Across from you, Spencer is flipping through a file at an alarming speed, his knee bouncing beneath the desk. It’s a familiar sight, one you’ve grown used to. You don’t realize you’re watching until his voice breaks through the background noise.
*"*You know, statistically speaking, people who work late tend to make more errors in their reports. Fatigue impairs cognitive function—kind of like being drunk, actually. So, technically…” He looks up, eyes bright with something innocently fascinating. “We’re all just sleep-deprived, paper-pushing drunks right now,”
It’s not the words themselves. It’s the way he says it—earnest and slightly amused, like he didn’t mean for it to sound like a joke but realised it as he was saying it.
Before you can stop it, a small smile tugs at your lips. It’s brief, barely there, but it happens.
And Spencer sees it.
He stills mid-page turn, hazel eyes widening just slightly. His lips part, like he’s about to say something and then thinks better of it. But after a beat, his voice comes, softer this time.
“I like your smile,”
The words hit like a misfired shot, straight to the chest. Your breath catches.
You freeze.
For a moment, the bullpen fades—the low murmur of voices, the shuffle of papers, the distant ringing of a phone. All of it disappears beneath the weight of his words.
People have complimented you before. You know how to brush them off, how to let them roll off your back like they mean nothing. But this? This is different.
Because Spencer isn’t saying it in passing. He isn’t trying to flatter you or win you over. He’s just saying it, like a quiet observation. Like a fact.
And that unsettles you more than anything.
Your expression shutters in an instant. The walls go up before you can think, instinctual and sharp-edged. You look away, shaking your head slightly, as if dismissing the moment entirely.
“Get back to your report, Reid.”
You don’t wait for his reaction. You don’t want to see it. Instead, you focus on the papers in front of you, grip tightening around your pen.
But even as you force your attention elsewhere, his words linger. Nestle into the corners of your mind.
And that brief, impossible warmth in your chest?
You don’t want to think about what it means.
You don’t look at him again.
Not when he shifts slightly in his seat, the rustle of paper between his fingers halting for a fraction of a second. Not when he exhales softly, as if debating whether to say something more.
You just keep your eyes fixed on your report, willing the moment to disappear.
Your voice had been even, detached—just the way you intended. But there had been something else underneath. Too quiet for him to catch, you hope.
Spencer doesn’t say anything, but you feel the weight of his stare. A hesitation. A question he doesn’t voice. Then, slowly, the sound of him turning a page resumes, though less fluid than before.
Still, you don’t look up.
You can’t.
For the rest of the day, you keep your distance.
It’s not unusual for you to be reserved—stoic, even. No one questions it when you opt out of lingering conversations, when you choose solitude over small talk. But today, you’re avoiding Spencer in a way that’s painfully deliberate.
Every time he moves near, you find a reason to move elsewhere.
When he passes your desk to grab a file, you suddenly decide you need something from the break room.
When he glances your way during a briefing, you keep your gaze firmly on the case notes in front of you.
When he lingers near the coffee pot, shifting as if working up the nerve to speak, you bypass him entirely, opting for a bottle of water instead.
And Spencer notices.
At first, he thinks it’s a coincidence. Maybe you’re just having an off day. Maybe you’re distracted.
But by the fifth time it happens, the crease between his brows deepens.
Did he overstep?
He replays the moment in his mind, trying to pinpoint where he went wrong. He hadn’t meant anything by it—at least, not in a way that should’ve pushed you away.
He had just… liked your smile.
And maybe he shouldn’t have said it out loud, but it had slipped past his lips before he could stop it. Before he could remind himself that you don’t do things like this.
That you don’t let people in.
So why had you smiled in the first place?
And why does it bother him so much that you won’t even look at him now?
You tell yourself it doesn’t matter.
That the tension in your chest is nothing. That his words had been just that—words.
But as much as you try to shake them, they follow you.
“I like your smile,”
It had been soft. Unassuming. No expectation, no ulterior motive. Just an observation, spoken like a truth he hadn’t realised he was sharing.
And that’s what unsettles you the most.
You’ve spent so long keeping people at arm’s length, making sure no one sees too much, knows too much. And yet, for one fleeting second, he’d seen something.
A crack in the armour.
And he hadn’t ridiculed it. Hadn’t pointed it out with some smug remark.
He had simply liked it.
And you don’t know what to do with that.
The injury isn’t bad.
It’s inconvenient, sure—annoying—but it’s nothing you can’t handle. A twisted ankle, a sharp jolt of pain when you put too much weight on it, but nothing that warrants the level of concern the team is throwing your way.
"You should ice that," Emily had said after the case wrapped, nodding toward your ankle as you leaned against the SUV.
“You should get it checked out,” Morgan added when you limped your way back into the precinct after your foiled foot chase.
“You should at least sit down,” JJ had pointed out, exasperated, when you waved off Morgan’s concern and started organising the paperwork.
And Spencer?
He hadn’t said anything.
He had looked—of course, he had. You could feel his eyes on you in the way that made your skin prickle, in the way that made you want to disappear under the scrutiny. But he never commented, never pushed.
It should’ve been a relief.
So why does it bother you?
You avoid going to the coffee shop down the street for obvious reasons. The last thing you need is for someone to make a fuss over you limping back to the office, and you refuse to ask anyone to go for you.
You tell yourself you don’t care. That the shitty break room coffee machine is fine. That it doesn’t bother you.
But when you come back from a meeting and sit at your desk, a familiar cup is waiting for you.
The logo. The exact order. The slight hint of caramel in the air.
You blink, staring at it like it might disappear.
You glance around the bullpen instinctively, but no one is paying you any mind. No one except Spencer, who doesn’t look away fast enough when your eyes find him.
The second you make eye contact, he drops his gaze back to his book, fingers twitching like he hadn’t meant to get caught.
You should ignore it. Pretend you didn’t notice. Pretend the warmth curling in your chest doesn’t exist.
Instead, your fingers tighten around the cup, a quiet acknowledgment only for yourself.
Then, you notice the note.
A small yellow sticky note, left beside your keyboard.
—Caffeine may slow the healing process, but I figured you’d rather risk it. Your ankle should improve in stages: swelling will peak in 48 hours, and mobility should return within a week. Try not to push it. :)
It’s simple. Factual. Exactly what you’d expect from him.
And yet, you feel something catch in your throat.
Not because of the words themselves, but because of what they mean.
Because despite the fact that you’ve been avoiding him for days, despite the fact that you shut down the last time he got too close, Spencer still noticed.
And he didn’t push. Didn’t demand a thank you. Didn’t hover or ask if you were okay.
He just… did this.
And you don’t realize how much it means until you’re alone.
You stare at the coffee.
It’s lukewarm now, condensation beading against the cup, but you haven’t taken a sip. You just keep staring, fingers curled around the cardboard sleeve, chest tight with something you don’t want to name.
It shouldn’t mean anything.
It’s just coffee. A stupid, simple gesture.
And yet.
The fact that you have it at all. The note. The way Spencer had looked away when you caught him watching—like he looking at you just because he wanted to.
You swallow hard.
This isn’t the first time he’s done something like this. Not really. You replay the moments in your head—the subtle ways he’s always noticed things about you before you even noticed them yourself.
The way he hands you a pen without you asking, just as yours runs out of ink.
The way he subtly shifts so you have an easier exit from a crowded room.
The way he remembers your order at every coffee shop, even when you don’t go to the same one twice.
The way he never pushes, never demands, never asks for more than you’re willing to give.
The way he just… sees you.
And that terrifies you.
Because you’ve spent so long keeping people at arm’s length, building walls high enough that no one could ever slip through. You don’t let people close. You can’t.
But Spencer?
He’s already there.
And somehow, you hadn’t even noticed until now.
Your pulse stutters, something sharp and unfamiliar twisting in your stomach.
Oh no.
The next day, you wake up with a sense of urgency you don’t understand.
You can’t stop thinking about him—about Spencer. About everything. About how he’s seen you. And how that thought makes you want to hide.
You have half the mind to bury yourself in the earth and never look at him again. To pack up and leave the BAU and disappear into the anonymity of a new job, new city, new life. Somewhere no one could care enough to notice if you smiled or if you were limping or if you were secretly falling apart inside.
But you don’t.
You don’t run. Not this time.
Instead, you get to work early, before the team trickles in, before Spencer arrives and fills the room with that quietly intense energy he always carries with him.
You don’t know why you’re doing this. But the thought of avoiding him again, of pretending like nothing matters, feels too heavy to bear.
You don’t say anything.
You just do it.
You make his coffee—exactly the way he likes it. Not too much sugar, swirled black, in that old worn out starfish mug he should’ve thrown out years ago.
You’re silent in the break room, the hum of the coffee machine filling the space between you and the mug you slide carefully onto the counter. It feels like the most normal thing in the world to do, and yet, your heart is pounding like you’re stepping into a completely foreign territory.
You can already hear the steady click of footsteps approaching, but you don’t look up. Not until the moment is right.
He’s here.
Spencer doesn’t say anything at first. His eyes flick to the coffee on the counter, then to you, and then back to the coffee as if trying to make sense of it. It’s the same as always, and yet it’s different.
He looks up at you, caught off guard, blinking a few times.
You turn away quickly, suddenly aware of the heat in your face, as if somehow your actions were a betrayal of everything you’d been trying to keep locked away.
It’s nothing, you tell yourself. Nothing at all.
But then, before you can retreat into the familiar coldness, he smiles.
It’s soft. Quiet. Like he’s known all along what this was.
There’s no teasing in his eyes, no attempt to make light of the situation. Just understanding. And something else—something gentler than you’ve ever seen from him before.
His smile is everything you didn’t realize you needed.
And for once, you don’t run.
You let the moment sit.
You let the warmth settle between you.
You breathe in deeply, not pushing him away, not hiding behind your walls. Just standing in the same space with him, finally acknowledging what’s been there for far too long.
It’s not much. But it’s enough.

threesome with bfm!abby + her best friend sevika (aka me trying to make a crossover happen)
18+ only minors DNI
it honestly wasn’t planned, to say the least. before you left with your boyfriend to attend a friend’s birthday party, you had the courtesy of meeting his mother’s best friend, sevika.
“so this must be the not-so-lucky girlfriend, yeah?” she asks before turning her head to abby, to which she nods. “hey there, pretty girl. name’s sevika.” she says, offering her hand out to you.
you blush at the name she gives you and reach out to shake her hand. her palm had felt so large and warm in yours, almost like abby's, but maybe a little bit bigger. you let go of her hand, and you can't help but curiously look at her other arm, seeing that it’s entirely replaced with a metal prosthetic.
sevika catches your glance shifting and she looks down at her arm. "oh, this?" she says, looking back up at you. "i lost it about a decade ago, but i’m alright though. besides…” she pauses for a moment before continuing. “my other one still works just as good.” she says with a wink. you got the joke behind that, of course. but what you didn’t know was that you were going to be the one she’d use that hand on.
fast forward to now, and you’ve wound up in bed with two of the finest, most masculine women you could ever imagine yourself with. you’re trapped in between them, sitting in abby’s lap with your back against her chest while sevika was resting in between your legs and eating your pussy out in a painfully slow, yet rough manner.
“sevika, i said be gentle,” abby says from behind, gently caressing your breasts as she watches sevika’s movements. “i told you she’s sensitive.”
sevika grunts back at her, briefly removing her mouth off of your throbbing clit to speak to her. “where’s the fun in that, anderson?” she replies as she inserts a second finger into your soaked cunt, admiring how you squirmed and whined at her touch. “look at how much she likes it…pretty girl seems to be enjoying herself from the looks of it.”
while abby and sevika may present themselves in similar ways, you realize that they are both completely different in bed. abby was the gentle type, who’d always touch you and handle your body with care as if you were a porcelain doll that could shatter at any moment. sevika, on the other hand, was the opposite. she’s been manhandling the hell out of your thighs and pussy for the past ten minutes now, as if you had now turned into a ragdoll that could be easily thrown around the bed.
but if there’s one thing the two women have in common…it’s that making you cum was their number one priority.
“you okay, beautiful?” abby purrs into your ear, gently planting kisses on the back of your neck as sevika continued to finger your cunt. “is sevika taking good care of you?”
you nod with a whine, and while abby took that as a valid answer, sevika sure didn’t. her metal hand gripped your inner thigh harshly, causing you to jerk back at her. “answer her question, sweetheart.” she mused, her steel gray eyes staring you down.
“y-yes! please keep going sev…” you whine out to her. sevika hummed, bringing her gaze back down to your pussy. “such a pretty pussy, baby… it’s crazy how anderson’s kid can get to taste this whenever he wants.”
“yeah, about that…” abby chimes in, stifling a laugh. “it’s just me who does that. andrew always refuses to do it.”
sevika scoffed and shook her head in disbelief, her flesh fingers slowing down their movements inside you. “you’re fucking lying.” her eyes shift back to you. “she’s lying, right?”
you look down at sevika with a straight face, slowly shaking your head. “it’s true…h-he never does…”
sevika couldn’t help herself. she starts to laugh, still unable to wrap her head around it. “jesus, anderson, your kid is pretty stupid for that. who wouldn’t wanna get a taste of this gorgeous girl?” she leans in and licks another stripe up your pussy, letting out a groan as she savored the arousal that caught on her tastebuds. “she tastes like fucking heaven.”
“that’s exactly what i told her,” abby replied. “but what can i say? he gets his self-absorption from his father, and i sure can’t fix his stupidity either.”
you whined as your pussy clenched tightly around sevika’s fingers. it felt insane to think about it, but the fact that abby and sevika were talking shit about your boyfriend like this couldn’t help but turn you on even more.
however, sevika was quick to feel your actions as her gaze drops back down to your pussy. “did you just clench around me?” she asks, looking back up at you. her fingers began to speed up a little now, causing a whimper to escape from your throat as you clutch onto abby’s bicep. “seems like she’s getting off on hearing us talk shit about her useless boyfriend.”
abby chuckles, leaning in to press a kiss on your cheek. “it’s because she knows it’s true. besides, she’s got two women right here who’s gonna give her all the pleasure her body needs tonight.”
sevika smirks, spreading your thighs out farther for her. “in that case, you better buckle up, princess…because we’re just getting started.”
yeah so anyways…i kinda want to make a full fic of this…should i make a full fic of this??

Not my Logan (1)
Tumblr media
Summary: Problems with the Multiverse suck. Even more when it brings someone back who has been long gone.
Pairing: Worst Wolverine x Immortal!Reader, Deadpool x Reader (platonic or not. You know him.)
Warnings: angst, language, mentions of loss of loved ones, grief, cocky reader, Deadpool being a pain in the ass, violence, mentions of killings, multiverse chaos, world building
A/N: For my story, all X-Men died, except for the reader. She lives in the same universe as Deadpool from DP & Wolverine. I don’t follow canon. Live with it.
Square filled for the Wolverine bingo @buck-star created for me: Square 1: Claws
Tumblr media
“WADE! Wade Wilson! Stop right there!” You growl, ready to shoot the bastard breaking into your property. Well, technically it’s not your property. Or it is. Charles left it to you in his will. Not because you were his favorite X-Men, but because you are the last one standing.
You huff before jumping out of the window. Wade would’ve loved to stop and admire your superhero landing, but he’s busy chasing after a very pissed Wolverine.
“Wolvie, stop! She won’t understand! Fuck. Shit. I said, Stop!” Wade takes off his mask. He wheezes because all he did all day was chase after the worst Wolverine. Logan’s words, not his. “HEY! I didn’t tell you about her for you to run off. We still have a job to do!”
“WADE WILSON!” You start to run, seeing Wade kneel on the ground. He still tries to catch his breath as you storm toward him. “I’d kill you but watching you grow legs and arms is disgusting!”
Instead of decapitating his head or stabbing Wade, you slap the back of his head.
“Ouch, Y/N.” He complains loudly. Wade got stabbed and shot; he lost body parts but whines like a baby when you slap him.
“What are you doing here? No one is allowed to come here any longer. You know that.” You sniff when he slowly gets up. “Not since…”
“I get it, I get it!” Wade raises his hands in surrender before turning around to face you. His face is a mess as always, but you can’t help but smile, seeing a familiar face. If you’re honest, he’s the only friend (if you want to call the cocky motherfucker a friend) you’ve got left. “Extinction is hard.”
“What did you say?” You slap him across the face, earning another whine. “You are an insensitive asshole.”
“Sweetheart, we both know you would have outlived all of them, no matter what. It just happened a little earlier this way.” Wade shrugs before putting his mask back on.
You run one hand down your face and huff. “What do you want, Wade? Is the world on fire, or did you lose a ball again?”
“No jokes about a man’s balls,” he points a gloved finger at you. “But yes, the world is ending once again. Or not. I mean… It depends.” Wade babbles as you put your hands on your hips.
“What did you do? I bet you messed with the timeline again, huh?” you snap at Wade. “Because that worked out so well last time. I told you to not fuck with timelines and shit. The dead shouldn’t come back.”
“Oh, about that,” Wade nervously chuckles. “I swear I didn’t resurrect anyone, but…uh…you see. Maybe, and I’m not saying it happened. But maybe I was hopping through different universes to find an anchor to save our universe from destruction.”
“Wade.” You close your eyes and inhale sharply. “Whom did you bring here, and do I have to kill them?”
“No, no! You cannot kill him,” Wade hastily says. “I came here for a short break. You see, bad guys are after our cute asses, and this is the safest place I know.”
“Christ on a cracker, WADE!” You kick his shin. “I’ve been out of this business for years.” You dip your head, hearing someone sneak closer. “Why would you bring anyone here? This is a lost place. Dead and forgotten. Just like me and the rest of the X-Men. Just like—”
Twirling around, you ready yourself to attack the person sneaking toward you and Wade.
Your body goes stiff, and you whimper, facing the man you lost so many years ago.
“No…” You step back and shake your head. “No…no. Wade. Out of all the people you could bring here…you do this to me?!”
“I swear, if I had a choice, I’d never do this to you. But—” Wade sighs and points at the worst Logan, he brought to your universe. “He wouldn’t believe me. Logan said you must be dead here too.”
You wrinkle your nose. “I cannot die. I am…immortal. My Wolverine would know that.”
The man, looking so much like your one true love, dips his head. He has the same body, the same eyes, and the same claws. Hell, he even wears the same fucking suit. But he’s not your Logan. He’ll never be your Logan.
“Go away. Both of you. Whatever will happen to this universe is not my problem. Maybe I can finally rest then too.”
You turn around to walk away, leaving Wade and Logan’s clone behind.
“Wait, Y/N!” Wade jogs after you. “I know you’re angry, but I couldn’t stop him. If there’s only a tiny piece of the undefeatable Y/N still inside of you, help us. Help me save my friends and this world.”
“Your friends,” you say, your heart heavy with sadness and grief. You glance at the photo Wade shows you, swallowing thickly.
“If there was a way to save your friends, you’d do anything, right?” Wade presses on. Even though he knows it’s a low blow, he cannot shelter you or your feelings. You’re his only chance to convince Logan to help him and get his clones off his back. “Please help me…”
“What the fuck is that?” You dip your head to look at the ugliest dog you have ever seen. “Uh—is that thing even alive?” Crouching down, you poke the dog’s nose with your index finger. “Who did this to you, little pug?”
“I think he was born this way?” Wade chuckles while picking the dog up. “And he’s not ugly. Dogpool is the sweetest.”
“Y/N. How?” Logan finally found his voice. He steps closer to you and Wade, not looking you in the eyes. “Why did you do it?!” He yells before jumping at you.
Logan tackles you to the ground to ram his claws into your sides. He growls like an animal, stabbing you again and again.
“What’s his problem?” You laugh as Logan tries to kill you. His claws dig deep into your flesh, but it doesn’t do much damage.
“Uh—from what I heard, you killed his people because he didn’t love you or shit?” Wade shrugs before letting the dog lick his face.
“YOU!” Logan growls. He slides his claws back in to slam his fists into the ground. Again, and again, and again. You can hear bones crack and flesh tear. “Why don’t you die?”
Logan looks at you, shaking his head. “You’re not her…”
“I assume in your world, I was mortal,” you sit up and push Logan away. While you slowly get up, he watches you with tears in his eyes. “In this world, my Logan would’ve cut your head off for touching me.”
“After we introduced ourselves, we should talk about the guys wanting to end this world. Come on, sweetheart. You know you want to help your Deadpool.”
“You’re annoying as fuck,” you huff while rubbing dirt off your ass. “If you keep that thing in line.” You jerk your head toward Logan kneeling on the ground. “We can talk.”
“She’s not her…” Logan repeats. “Not her…”
“You sound like a broken record,” you say and slap the back of Logan’s head. “And for the record, you’re not my Logan either…”

Mattheo could feel the tension rolling off you from a mile away—thick, restless, electric. Anxiety coiled around your frame like an iron grip, tightening with every breath you took. The upcoming exam loomed over you like a storm cloud, its weight pressing down on you with an unbearable force. If you passed, you’d be the youngest woman in history to earn a seat at one of the most prestigious higher education institutions for witches and wizards. The pressure was suffocating, an invisible noose tightening around your throat.
You weren’t the only one feeling it. Mattheo was tense too, but not because of the exam. No, he was wound up because of you—because your stress became his stress, your suffering bled into him like an open wound. He’d tried everything to ease your nerves. He took you to your favorite coffee shop, bought you anything you wanted, even tried distracting you with jokes and stolen kisses—but nothing worked. You were drowning in books, lost in your relentless pursuit of perfection, and no amount of comfort could pull you out.
Eighteen hours. That’s how long you had gone without sleep. Maybe more. You were running purely on caffeine and raw determination, your veins practically humming with exhaustion. Dark circles didn’t just shadow your eyes—they owned your face, carved into your skin like permanent bruises. At night, you sang old traditional songs in a hollow, eerie voice, studying by torchlight like some deranged scholar possessed by ancient magic. Your roommates had given up on you, groaning in frustration as your muttered revisions carried into the early hours. Even when Mattheo convinced you to crash in his dorm, you never truly rested. You just laid there beside him, whispering formulas, theories, and incantations under your breath, your fingers tracing invisible notes on his skin. It was getting out of hand.
Mattheo watched you now, his jaw clenched as he took in the sight before him—you, hunched over a book in the Great Hall, a cup of coffee gripped in one trembling hand, barely picking at your food with the other. Students all around were suffering through exam stress, but Mattheo didn’t give a damn about any of them. You were the only one who mattered. And watching you unravel like this was killing him.
Sitting beside him, Theodore Nott let out a low whistle. “Mate, what the hell is wrong with her?” he muttered, following Mattheo’s gaze.
Mattheo exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “That stupid exam is next week. She’s pushing herself too hard. If she doesn’t pass, she won’t be able to retake it for another four years. That would completely screw up her entire life plan.” His voice was tight, frustration laced beneath the concern.
Theodore huffed a laugh, lips curling in amusement. “Please, it can’t be that serious. No one plans their life around one exam.” Mattheo’s eyes darkened as he turned toward his friend. “It’s her wallpaper.” Theodore’s brow furrowed. “What?”
Mattheo ran a hand through his hair. “The life plan. It hangs over her bed.” Theodore’s mouth formed a small ‘O’ of realization, his amusement fading into something more thoughtful.
Mattheo knew this couldn’t go on. He couldn’t just sit back and watch you self-destruct. No, he had to do something.
And he knew exactly what to do.
Later that day, Mattheo found you exactly where he expected—in the library, buried under an avalanche of books, your fingers gripping a quill like it was the only thing keeping you tethered to reality. Without a word, he sank into the chair beside you, drumming his fingers against the wooden surface.
You didn’t even glance up, just exhaled a frustrated sigh before whispering, “Don’t waste my time. Just say what you wanna say.”
Mattheo smirked, leaning back in his chair with that signature arrogance, the kind that both infuriated and charmed you in equal measure. “Babe, don’t worry. You’re gonna crush it. You could take this exam with one eye closed and still beat half these idiots. And most importantly—” he paused, his voice softening slightly, “—even if you don’t, it’s fine. You got this.”
Your eyes snapped to his, narrowing. “You don’t know what you’re saying,” you scoffed. “You’re only saying this because you love me. Love has made you dumber.”
Mattheo let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. “No, I don’t think so. If anything, love has made me smarter. See, I haven’t picked a single fight this whole month.”
Your lips twitched despite yourself, a ghost of a proud smile appearing. “Yes, I am very proud of you for that. But if you don’t get the hell out in ten seconds, I will personally break your nose.”
Mattheo grinned like he’d been waiting for exactly that response. In a single, swift motion, he grabbed your wrist, yanking you to your feet before you could protest.
“What the hell, Mattheo?!” You struggled against his grip, your chair scraping noisily against the floor as he dragged you out of the library. Heads turned. You scowled. “Stop! I swear to Merlin, if this is another one of your—”
He didn’t stop. He didn’t even slow down, only coming to a halt when he shoved open the door to an abandoned classroom and pulled you inside.
You shot him a glare as you yanked your arm free. “This better be good, Riddle, or I’m hexing your balls into oblivion.”
Mattheo’s smirk widened as he leaned casually against a desk, arms crossed over his chest. “Since you’re so stressed, I figured—why not give you a test?”
Your eyes darkened, your irritation sharpening into a glare. “Are you serious? You dragged me here for a fake test? These things are useless, Mattheo. They don’t have the same pressure, the same distractions. It’s all too damn quiet and perfect, like the walls themselves are whispering the answers.”
Mattheo tilted his head, looking entirely too pleased with himself. “Yeah, I figured you’d say that.” He clapped his hands together once, and suddenly, the door swung open.
In walked Abby and Scully from Ravenclaw, each lugging twenty-five bags of chips. As they sat down, they immediately started munching—loudly. Crunching, smacking, licking their fingers like they were trying to break a world record for obnoxious eating.
Your eye twitched.
But that wasn’t all. Right behind them, a group of students filed in—loud ones. The kind who couldn’t stay quiet if their lives depended on it. They bickered, they whispered, they tapped their quills against the desks, they fidgeted like caffeinated squirrels.
Mattheo leaned in, his lips brushing the shell of your ear as he whispered, “Better prepare yourself, Y/L/N. This is your battlefield.” Then, with a wicked grin, he added, “And I know you wanna rip my clothes off right now, but you’re gonna have to wait and ace this test first.”
You stepped closer, so close that he sucked in a breath, his smirk faltering just slightly. Your voice dropped to a sultry whisper, just for him.
“I am so fucking turned on by you right now.” You smirked. “Give me five minutes to destroy this test. Then? You.”
Mattheo’s mouth fell open slightly, like he’d just been hit by a Confundus Charm.
You winked, snatching up the test from his hands, and took your seat, utterly unbothered by the chaos around you.
Mattheo, still standing there, watching you with something dark and heated in his gaze, let out a quiet, disbelieving chuckle.
“Fucking hell,” he muttered. “I think I just made studying sexy.”
Mattheo sat outside on the Quidditch field, staring up at the darkening sky, the cool breeze doing nothing to temper the frustration simmering in his chest. His fingers fidgeted with a stray blade of grass as he replayed the events of the day over and over in his head. He was about to go find you himself when he noticed Abby and Scully trudging toward him, looking particularly sheepish.
“We’re out of chips,” they said in perfect unison.
Mattheo blinked. Then scowled. “What the hell? I gave you fifty packets. And I told you to stay in that damn room.”
Scully shifted uncomfortably before muttering, “About that… Y/N kinda… vanished.”
Mattheo’s stomach dropped. His jaw clenched. “Vanished?” His voice was eerily calm, but his eyes—oh, his eyes had darkened into something deadly.
Abby nodded. “Yeah, she just—poof. One second she was there, the next, gone. No idea where.”
Mattheo shot to his feet, his entire body thrumming with tension. “I asked you to do one thing,” he snapped, running a frustrated hand through his hair. “One fucking thing—and you couldn’t even do that?” He exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “Move aside.”
It was almost nightfall, and Mattheo, along with his friends, had been searching for you for over an hour. You were nowhere to be found. His mind churned with possibilities—were you upset? Were you hiding? Had something happened? And then, like a punch to the gut, it hit him.
Today’s date.
Mattheo stopped in his tracks, exhaling as realization settled over him. “I know where she is,” he muttered. “Go back to the dorms—I got this.”
Without waiting for a response, he turned on his heel and headed toward the Potions classroom.
And there you were.
Curled up in a ball, tucked into the shadows, your arms wrapped around your knees as if holding yourself together. The dim candlelight flickered against your face, casting soft, golden hues over your tear-streaked cheeks. His chest tightened at the sight.
Mattheo said nothing as he stepped inside. He didn’t need to. Instead, he lowered himself to the floor beside you, his presence warm and steady.
You glanced up, your voice barely above a whisper. “How did you find me?”
His expression remained neutral, but his eyes—his eyes—were soft as they met yours. “15th of March.”
A humorless laugh escaped your lips, and despite yourself, a small, sad smile tugged at the corner of your mouth. “Of course.”
Mattheo’s lips curled into one of those rare smiles—the kind he didn’t give just anyone. “A year ago, today, we had detention together.” His tone turned teasing. “You spent the whole night pretending to be annoyed while secretly staring at me like I was the hottest thing you’d ever seen, and by the end of it, you were completely infatuated with me.”
You gave him a side-eye. “Mattheo.”
He rolled his eyes. “Fine. You flirted with me for fifteen seconds, and I became obsessed.”
You let out a soft chuckle, shaking your head. “Sounds more accurate.”
A comfortable silence settled between you both.
And then, softly, Mattheo asked, “Babe, can you tell me the real reason why you’re scared?”
You hesitated for a moment before shifting closer, resting your head against his shoulder. His warmth seeped into you, grounding you, anchoring you.
“I didn’t even know why I was so tense before,” you admitted. “But when I was in that classroom, giving that practice test… I realized.” Your throat tightened. “Passing this test means going away from you. And I—I don’t know how to handle that.”
Mattheo stayed quiet, letting you speak.
“All these days, I’ve been drowning myself in books, trying to avoid thinking about it. But in that classroom, it hit me.” Your voice cracked. “Everything between us is so good right now. But what if leaving ruins that? What if we can’t make long distance work? What if me being gone changes everything?” A tear slid down your cheek, soaking into Mattheo’s shirt. “And what if—” your voice broke entirely, and you inhaled shakily, “—what if you realize that you deserve better? What if you find someone else, someone closer? Someone who isn’t a whole country away?”
Mattheo was quiet for a beat. Then, with a slow exhale, he shook his head and lifted his hands to your face, cradling your cheeks between his palms. He wiped your tears away gently, then—because he was still Mattheo—he wiped his hands off on your shirt, making you let out a watery laugh.
And then, in a voice barely above a whisper, he said, “Babe, listen to me—no, actually, shut up and listen, because I know that pretty little overthinking brain of yours is already running marathons.” His thumbs stroked your cheekbones, his touch featherlight. His gaze—intense, unwavering, filled with nothing but love—held you in place, made you feel every word before he even said them.
“Darling, if you don’t go—if you give up your dream for me—I swear I will throw myself into the nearest trash can and live there forever because that’s exactly where I belong if I let you do that.” His voice was steady, firm, convincing. “Baby, I want you to go. I need you to go. Not because I want to be away from you—hell no, I’m already dreading the distance—but because you’ve been dreaming about this since you were a kid, and the only thing worse than missing you would be watching you resent me for holding you back.”
You sniffled, lips trembling.
“And as for your stupid little fear that I’ll find someone else—ugh, babe, do you think I’m insane? That my brain is rotting?” His lips twitched into a smirk before softening again. “Do you think I’d willingly trade you—the love of my fucking life, the only person who actually laughs at my dumb jokes, the only one who knows exactly how I like my coffee, the only soul on this godforsaken planet who makes me feel like I belong—for anyone else?” His voice was raw now, honest in a way that made your chest ache.
His forehead pressed against yours, his nose brushing yours as he whispered, “Baby, there is no one else. There never will be.”
Tears slipped silently down your cheeks.
“So go. Conquer. Be brilliant.” He swallowed thickly. “And when you come back, I’ll be right here, still stupidly in love with you, probably crying into your hoodie and talking to your pictures like a lunatic.” He gave you a small, wry smile. “But I’ll be yours. Always.”
Your lips trembled. Your fingers clutched at the fabric of his shirt.
And then, with no warning, you surged forward, crashing your lips against his in a kiss so deep, so desperate, it stole the breath from both your lungs.
Mattheo exhaled into your mouth, his arms winding around you like he never wanted to let go.
And maybe, just maybe—he never would.

"You are." Daryl Dixon Imagine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To Daryl, you are different, you are special, you are everything. But when his jealousy over a "prank" from your friend leads to a misunderstanding you can't resolve, and an incident the next day that nearly costs you your life, it causes Daryl to have a huge revelation about his feelings for you.
@artsynana: heyy dear!! i was wondering if you could ever write something with some soft jealous daryl x reader at the prison era, btw i love the way you write daryl🥰
A/N: Hi love. First, sorry! I didn't know you had left a request :( but thank you so much for doing it. This is a little short and different :( and a little more dramatic, but I really hope you like it♥ And for your words, thank u again! I think I write Daryl a little bit off the character, but I guess it's because I picture him like that hehe
Tumblr media
Daryl Dixon is not a possessive person, never, but he is not made of steel either, that’s why he’s unable to stop jealousy from creeping up on him.
The night is ending inside the prison, the heat of the day floating in the air, but the still warm weather seems to hang over Daryl almost in a suffocating way. As he continues to wait for his dinner, he has a panoramic view of you across the dining room, sitting in the long steel chair, elbows on the table, always accompanied by that pretty boy Sean, with his stupid green eyes and that stupid smile, following you ever since Daryl rescued his group from the governor.
And Daryl hates not being able to hate you for the senseless jealousy that you make him feel now, as he thought he did in the past.
Daryl hated you for being fearless, like the afternoon you showed up to save his ass back in Atlanta, like a force of nature, like a fucking storm–sweeping away the little peace he managed to find at the end of the world, shaking his own with your magnetic presence. But he also hated how your strong gaze could rest, turning you into an angel when he could see the tenderness in your soft smile, and your dreamy eyes when things got a little bit better in that grey world.
The secret of his hate was because of your selfless, wild and free heart, and that fucking dimple that formed on your left cheek, so yeah, he fell hard for that, he fell hard for you. But no one knew about your relationship, everyone blind to those little displays of affection: the casual brush of your hands, the secret smiles, the way his hand rested on the side of your neck before he kissed you.
“You're like… staring much. Don't you think?" Carol chuckles beside him, making Daryl look away from you as he takes his plate. "Damn, pookie, you are not subtle at all."
She continues with the bland jokes; the same ones she’s been making since Carol caught the way Daryl looked at you.
"Shut up." He hisses, turning his attention back to the food.
But Carol is not ready to give up.
"I once read that when a feeling is silenced, bottled up or imprisoned, the eyes, the lover’s gazes scream everything."
Daryl frowns, confused.
"What the hell are ya talkin’ ‘bout?"
She chuckles, crossing her arms.
"Oh, nothing. I'm just saying that maybe you should start making it clear to everyone that (Y/N) is with you."
He clears his throat, but the heat on his cheeks burns more than the sun on that season.
"Ya knew?"
"No. You just told me." Carol turns around towards the pot to serve herself a plate, Daryl narrowing his eyes at her, even if she isn’t looking at him.
"But, uh... like what?" He asks after a few seconds, hoping that Carol will understand the question without him having to spell it out for her.
She shrugs.
“I don’t know. Maybe approach her not only when you two are alone.”
Carol smiles at Daryl, walking away to leave him with the weight of his thoughts.
Daryl Dixon is a strong man, to survive, to protect, but as a boy who grew tall but is still a boy on the inside, he feels lost with the feelings he keeps inside him, not knowing what to do with them. He had had casual encounters in bars, but was too drunk to even remember, to even care about them. But you are different, you are special, you are everything. That’s why, even with his heart hammering in his chest, Daryl walks over to the last table, eyes fixed on your profile, his sometimes noisy mind disappearing the rest as he sets his plate down on the table before sitting down next to you, ignoring the confused look from Sean, who was silent for a second in shock before resuming his story of a past life on his farm with the rest.
“The lake water is cold during that season…” He keeps talking, oblivious to the way you hold your breath when you feel Daryl's fingers on your lower back.
But out of nowhere, his hand begins to seek out the skin beneath, a light touch over the edge of your black t–shirt until he finds the warmth of your flesh. Your back arches slightly beneath his calloused fingers on your skin, but you try to control your body as your dirty thoughts begin to overflow.
The small group is so wrapped up in the funny anecdote that no one notices the way Daryl leans in close.
"Breathe, peach, ‘fore ya pass out."
His words are the jolt back to reality, and you let out a breath as you squint, your hand darting from your lap to his leg, only to pinch his skin over his pants with your fingers. As a reflex, his leg jumps slightly, but Daryl takes the attack with a smirk that is almost imperceptible to the rest of them, but not to you.
"Isn't that right, (Y/N)?" Sean glances in your direction, catching your gaze and a confused expression that silently prompts him to repeat his question. "You told me you dated a guy who looked like me."
Confused, you clear your throat.
“Yeah. Uh, but we separated long before all this...”
Mary nods, a young woman who came with Sean’s group.
“Wow. He must have been really handsome. But did you love him, (Y/N)?”
Your skin feels cold again when Daryl's hand leaves your body, even if your skin feels boiling hot when the attention falls on you like the midday sun in that stifling season. As if someone had put their hand on your throat until it was blocked from air, your uncomfortable laughter comes out muffled, but you don’t answer before changing topics. But it's sad that after a short while, Daryl stands up to go to his own cell, his thoughts run wild about the jealousy he feels about that guy, thinking that there was someone who made you feel something when, for him, you were his first everything.
When dinner time is over and everyone returns to their cells, you find yourself timidly entering Daryl's cell only because his door was still open, but staying close to it. He’s lying on his back, eyes fixed on the arrow in his hands just to keep himself busy.
“Hey. Uh, can we talk?”
“’bout what?”
His voice is flat, not a single emotion in it.
“About what happened in the dining room with Sean.”
 “What ‘bout it?”
You shrug, even if he isn’t looking at you.
“Don’t know exactly, but I think I made you feel uncomfortable.”
Daryl scoffs.
“Ya didn't make me feel anythin’.”
His words form a lump in your throat, completely silencing the truth you were going to tell, just because your own anxious mind tells you that you don't make him feel anything, at all, like never, and that is painful.
“Okay, uh, I don’t want to force you to talk so… I guess I’m gonna go. Oh, we'll leave early tomorrow for the run, by the way.”
“Yeah, whatever.”
You sigh, walking away.
But jealousy is an irrational force, but a force of nature that resembles a hurricane, or any destructive phenomenon inside a timid and fearful mind: that’s why when the early morning arrives and the first ray of sun shines on the horizon, Daryl decides to switch places with Glenn, just so he wouldn't be stuck with his thoughts of you in a car for hours.
However, the day grows tedious for him, even in the small details like the wind blowing dust into his face, or the way the walkers keep piling up against the fence, taking the place of the lifeless body when Daryl stabs his knife into their skulls. But before his ocean–blue eyes can see the car returning at a worrying speed, his ears can hear the horn, like a desperate call that makes his heart wake up frantically.
“Someone is hurt.” Carol tells him, a second before they start running towards the main fence.
Maggie and Rick are closer and they open the gates, the car raising tornadoes of dust until it stopped inside the prison. Michonne steps out of the passenger seat as Daryl and Carol arrive to meet her, Bob and Glenn following as she begins to narrate the horror story.
“… and one of those men was behind me, (Y/N) shot him but another stabbed her in the abdomen.”
The back door of the car is open, but like a roller coaster of emotions, Daryl’s heart is so up that it threatens to stop because of the fear, as if it stopped pumping blood to replace it with an infinite void. But he refuses to listen to the death whispering in his ear that you won’t make it as he carries you, arms under your shoulders and knees.
“Call Hershel!” He says, to whoever is faster as Daryl starts waking fast, because, even though he wants to run to catch the seconds that seem to slip away, your body feels as fragile as porcelain.
And it’s crazy, it’s wild the way Herself has to perform a surgery to control the bleeding on the same table where the night before your and his playful fingers had teased each other, minutes before ruining it all with your silence and his jealousy. But when it's all over and the madness has cleared like a thick fog, he finds himself sitting on the edge of your bed, taking in the way your closed eyelids make you look like you're just asleep and not unconscious.
“She will make up, Daryl.” Carol says softly, standing close to him. “It’s late, you should rest.”
He shakes his head.
“Nah. I’m stayin’ here with her. Don’ want her to be alone when she does.”
Carol nods, knowing perfectly nothing will change his mind.
“Okay, Pookie, I will come to check on you both in the morning.”
She kisses his forehead, but Daryl is too absent to notice as she leaves the room. The entire prison falls into a deep sleep, and Daryl can hear the almost imperceptible sound of your breathing fighting against the almost deafening silence of his world, telling him without words that you are there, and that you are not going anywhere. But after a while, Daryl lies down on his right side, still close to the edge of the bed to give you all the space you needed, but able to leave only that small space between his body and yours.
“Fuck… now I know I love ya, peach.” He whispers, shy and scared you can hear him even like that. “That seems to be the only answer to why I almost lost ma shit when I saw ya there… bleedin’ out. Jesus, ya would probably laugh if ya saw me here now scared to death like a damn child.” Daryl tries to laugh, a nervous little laugh that falls to a heavy sigh. “Please, wake up, okay? I promise I’ll be better.”
But since there is no answer from the other end, his words hang in the air for the rest of the night, even after Daryl falls asleep. However, as the sun begins to peek through one of the prison's tall windows one more time, your eyelids open slightly, the world in front of you blurring for an instant, until your scattered senses become one and focus on the pain pounding your abdomen.
But still, you turn your head slightly to the side when your peripheral vision catches a body beside yours, smiling weakly at the image before you. Daryl's hair covers part of his closed eyes, but his slight frown reflects his concern, even if you don't know that.
You raise your arm until your hand touches the skin of his face, soft flesh under your fingers.
“Daryl?” Your voice brings him back easily, walking him up from that terrifying dream as he sits up, his hand cupping the side of your face just to feel that you're actually awake.
"Ya okay, peach, ya okay."
“Am I? Since when I’m here?”
Daryl sighs, but he decides to mask his fear with humor, just because he feels like he can spill all his feelings for you in a single second.
“Jus' a day, but ya took yer sweet time to wake up, woman.”
“Sorry.”
You chuckle shyly, but his gaze turns soft.
“Nah. Don’t be, I’m jus’ so glad ya came back.” Concern allows him to smile slightly, before telling you that he's going to go find Hershel.
The examination lasts a few minutes, until you two are left alone, again.
“Daryl…” One more time, your voice pulls his eyes towards yours the moment he sits back down. “Sean was messing with you. You know? I was going to tell you about it that night before all this, but you didn’t want to listen and I didn’t want to push you to.”
Embarrassed, Daryl lowers his head a little bit, watching you through his long hair.
“M’ sorry, peach. I was jealous of ‘em and I ended up sayin’ the wrong shit again.”
Them.
“Daryl, that’s exactly what I was going to tell you that night. There was never another guy, Sean made up that story to get a reaction out of you because even he can see how much you want to kick his ass every time you see him coming." You chuckle. "Besides, he’s gay.”
Daryl blinks, confused like never in his life.
“He is?”
You nod.
“Yep, really gay, but don’t worry, Sean has a crush on Glenn because you look too intimidating for his like.” You want to laugh, but you can see his own shame sinking his heart heavily, feeling the pain and guilt for letting you go alone, because Daryl is a protector: that is in his nature.
And when things went wrong, that weight fell on his shoulders.
"Sorry, I think I screwed this thing between us."
And in a second and with an overwhelming strength, you can see his eyes becoming teary with all the feelings he has inside him.
"No. You didn't, Daryl, unless you want this to end."
But he shakes his head.
"No. I don' want it to ever end."
You nod softly.
"Good." When your hand catches his, Daryl clings to it, but you don't force him to talk because you know better than anyone that it was difficult for him to express himself. "Now come, lie down and try to sleep. Okay?”
He nods, laying down next to you, too overwhelmed to speak his mind at that very moment, his hand still holding yours even after he falls asleep when his mind can no longer carry the full weight of his thoughts. But while he does, you can't help but smile slightly, because now, awake, you are convinced that his voice saying I love you was not just part of the dream you were having, sweet words you hope you can tell him soon.

You feel nervous walking down the same path you always take. Why are you nervous? There was usually a feeling of excitement to unwind, to see the sexy Internet Cafe employee – stifling your giggles who will he scold for breathing too loud this time. But now your palms are sweaty the closer you get to that familiar door.
After your first hookup with Joost, you haven't talked much. You got busy with work, and when you were able to visit the Internet Cafe, he seemed to be busier than usual, new customers keep flooding in. You would catch him for a couple of minutes of casual conversation by his desk, like he hasn't rearranged your guts in this same place. He would also come up to you ask about your day, the first time he did it, it made you blush furiously not having expected it from him. Other than that, you were short with each other and the timing wasn't right. Plus it has been almost a week since your last visit, probably the longest you haven't been in that place. So, all those thoughts piled on top of each other, you were feeling extra anxious to see him.
Today however you were determined to have a proper conversation. You are down to keep it casual, if he doesn't want anything serious, but you need clarity – it has been driving you crazy not knowing what he thinks about that night, does he regret it, does he want anything more?
Once again, you open the door, familiar sounds and smell greeting you, as well as a pair of blue eyes lingering in your direction. Joost smiles at you, as you come over to his desk.
"Hi you." he says, still smiling.
"Hi." It throws you off how cheerful he is, the usual scowl nowhere to be found.
"Haven't seen you in a while." his attention is still fully on you, on a normal fay by that time he was already back to typing on the computer. "Thought you went to the competitors. Maybe some other Internet Cafe has opened up." he tries to joke.
You stare at him silently and burst out laughing, the previous tension and anxiety simmering down. Maybe he is in the same mood to figure things out between you finally.
"I wouldn't dare." you lean in closer over the desk.
"That's right." he doesn't look away, matching your eye contact.
You reach for your purse to get the cash for the computer, but he stops you. "It's on the house today. Loyal customer and all that."
You look shocked at him, "You don't have to do that, but thank you." you mumble, a blush creeping up your cheeks again. He seems really happy to see you again. "All I had to do was the bang the employee? Should have done that sooner." you whisper to him making sure it is only for his ears.
"Shut up." he barks a laugh. "First computer on the second row is yours." he points in the direction of it.
"Wait, how does she get to use it for free?" a customer who just walked in behind you asks.
"None of your business." Joost is back to his usual demeanour, his eyes a reflection of being bored of the customer. "How can I help you?" he asks the guy.
You have finished the most important work you needed to do, looking up at the clock, you notice it is past midnight already, most of the customers went home, there is only you, Joost and a couple sharing a computer on the opposite side.
"Sir?" you call out in Joost's direction. "There is something wrong with this computer, can you check?"
His head immediately turns in your direction. "Um, sure." he walks up to you.
You point at the error which popped up. You know how to fix it yourself, and from the look he gives you, you are sure he knows that too. But plays along, catching up to your game. "Yes, let me check." he moves from standing next to you to reaching over behind you for the mouse and keyboard. His hand is covering the mouse over your hand, his skin feels starching hot on yours. His breath close to your ear, your stomach tightens over the simple close proximity to him.
"You are so good at this." you tell him, your voice innocent.
"Am I?"
"Yeah." you turn to face him, but he already fixed it and straightens up, leaving you so lonely.
"Thank you." your voice is quiet.
You finish the rest of your work and notice the couple has left. After waiting a couple more minutes to check if no one else comes in, you stand up and head towards Joost's desk. He is busy typing away, you linger next to him, when he finally looks up.
"Can we talk?" you ask tentatively.
He looks around the room, noticing it's just you left.
"Sure." he gives you his full attention now. "What happened?"
"Well. Nothing really, but that is the problem." you say not looking at him yet, mindlessly moving the things around at the top of his desk. "I know we don't each other yet, maybe the hookup meant nothing to you." you continue, he tries to interrupt, but you motion for him to wait. "But I would like to get to know you, move things forward. I do care about you more than just random sex, but I can't tell if you feel the same about me. You are kind of hard to read." you finally look up at him. He is looking at you intently, listening carefully to your confession.
The silence falls heavily between you, it weighs on you. Did you read this situation completely wrong, does have want nothing to do with you, before you can spiral any further, you hear his voice. "I also want to get to know you. Sorry if I left you in the unknown, I didn't mean that. I also didn't know if you want anything more. I was also so busy here, I am sorry." he says. "When you didn't come on your usual day, your usual hours-"
"You notice when I usually come here?"
"Ofcourse." he meets your eyes.
"I would love to ask you out on a date." he confesses. "Would- Would you go on a date with me?" he is also nervous, like you. It makes your heart melt.
"Yes."
Joost's gaze softened, his eyes roaming over your face with a mix of tenderness and barely concealed desire. You walk around the desk, his eyes following your every move, he starts to stand up, but you push on his shoulder to keep him sitting down. You stand in between his legs and reach out to fix his hair, brushing the fallen out of place strands. You notice the dark circles under his eyes, he works so much. Your hand slips lower, tracing his cheekbone, his skin warm under your palm. He nuzzles closer to you, his eyes darken, not used to such tender touches, but unable to tear himself away from the way you looked at him.
"Is this okay?" you ask him. So careful, the time feels like it has slowed down between you two. A contrast between how the first time went. "Yes."
You move to sit on his lap, he lets you, wrapping his hand around your waist, settling you in more comfortable, as he shifts under you.
"I really thought I might never see you again." he confesses, his voice barely audible, but you hear him.
Reaching up, you let your fingers graze the stubble on his jaw, caressing his cheek as you hold his gaze. “Kiss me, Joost,” you whisper, your voice a soft, desperate invitation.
Without another word, he closes the distance, his lips finding yours in a gentle, unhurried kiss. There is no urgency, only a steady, deliberate affection that conveys every unspoken emotion he’d held back. His kiss is soft and careful, full of warmth, he is tentative, but you lead him, showing you want him as much.
When he pulls away, his forehead rests against yours, and you both share a quiet, contented breath, wrapped up in the warmth of the moment. But the tenderness only fuels the lingering desire that had simmered between you both, and with a sudden burst of confidence, you grasp the collar of his shirt, pulling him back to you.
This time, the kiss deepened, your lips moving in sync as the restraint melted away, giving way to something more fervent, the Joost who likes to take control shining again. His hands grab your waist even harder, pulling you closer, his fingers splaying against your back. The gentle intimacy turns heated, your mouths exploring, you open your mouth, letting his tongue tease yours. You can feel his breath hitch as your fingers tangle in his hair, pulling him closer, he groans against your lips, sending a shiver down your spine.
You try to pull away, but he chases you leaning in, not ready to separate yet, "Come here" his voice is low, breathless too, as he catches your lips in a kiss again. His hands slid down to the small of your back, then lower, gripping your thighs. You wrapped your arms around his neck, fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer. His hands roam over your body, sliding along your curves, his touch sends shivers down your spine, like it's the first time being alone in this room again. However this time you are sure he wants you as much as you want him. You gasp against his mouth, a sound that turns into a soft moan, each sound coming from you pushing him closer to the edge of his composure. His tongue slips past your lips, exploring, tasting. Every brush of his tongue against yours sent a surge of heat pooling between your legs, each movement building the need that pulsed through you.
Joost shifts under you, and you feel his hardness pressing against you, undeniable. Your lips begin to wander, trailing a path from his mouth to his jaw, where you lingered, pressing soft, teasing kisses that made him shudder under your touch. You can feel the subtle stubble against your lips, the warmth radiating from his skin as you move lower, planting slow, lingering kisses along his neck, tasting the faint hint of his cologne mixed with his natural scent. Paying extra attention to the Lola Bunny tattoo on his neck, you hope to become friends with her and see her more often.
Each kiss seems to draw a deeper, ragged breath from him, his chest rising and falling as he leans into every touch, unable to hold back the quiet sounds of pleasure escaping his lips. You find it intoxicating, the sound you are able to pull from him. You let your hands roam freely, exploring the strong lines of his shoulders, fingers tracing down the curves of his chest. His pulse beats beneath your touch, quickening with each passing second. He swallows hard, his breathing growing heavier as you continued, savoring every inch of him.
"You are driving me crazy." he says, as you continue to kiss along his sensitive spot.
"You look so good like this." your words go straight to his dick. "I can't believe I finally get to have you like this."
"Fuck, baby. Don't say shit like this, I might just cum in my pants." he confesses tilting his head back, giving you even more access, closing his eyes, clearly enjoying your actions.
"Maybe I would like that." you let your fingers slide down his torso, tracing every line and curve of his body with deliberate, teasing slowness.
"What? Me cuming my pants?" his opens his eyes to look at you. You look up at him grinning, your hand finally reaches the waistband of his boxers, and you press your palm against him. "You are evil."
"You don't like that?" you remove your hand from him.
"Nonono." he repeats, putting your hand back right where it was. "I do." his breath hitches, a deep, guttural sound escaping his throat as he instinctively pushes into your touch, his fingers digging into your waist.
"I am enjoying myself too." you murmur, palming him gently, feeling his arousal grow beneath your hand, hardening with each brush of your fingers. “I’ve wanted this for so long, Joost. I wanted to know how you’d feel like this,” you admit, voice a mix of admiration and desire.
His hands roam your back, pulling you closer, his breathing growing heavier as he looses himself in every touch, every word you murmur against him. "More, please." he pleads, looking in the direction of the door. The cafe is still open to the public. It has been a quieter night than usual, but there is still a possibility someone might stumble in, but he is ready for the gamble, knowing you are too.
"God… that feels so good,” he gasps, as he looks, his expression a mixture of awe and arousal. His hands roam up and down your back, and you can feel the effect of every touch, every word, as his breathing grows heavier. "You’re so beautiful,” he whispers, his voice rough as he presses a kiss to your temple, his words urge you to move your hand around his cock faster, encouraging every word. “Been wanting this… wanting you… for so damn long.” He buries his face in the crook of your neck, kissing and nipping at your skin as he speaks, his voice shaky, every word spilling out in a way that only fueled the fire between you.
"Seeing that guy ask you out,” he murmurs, his lips brushing the sensitive skin just below your ear, “it drove me crazy. Couldn’t stand it. I wanted to kill him for touching you” He pauses, lifting his head to look into your eyes, his gaze raw, vulnerable, every wall he’d built around himself now shattered. “I’ve wanted you like this… needed you like this… for so long.”
Hearing him say it out loud, the desire intertwined in every syllable, makes your head spin. Feeling he is fully hard under you now, you slowly sink to your knees in front of him, his mouth falling open slightly at the realisation what you are doing for him. You maintain eye contact with him, as you feel the carpet dig into your knees, but you don't care, not when he looks at you like this.
"Fuck... you don't have to." he says, putting a strand of hair behind your ear.
"I want to." you say, and reach for his belt. "Do you want to?"
"Yes." he says it way too quick and it makes you giggle. He helps you undo the belt, lifting his hips to take off his pants.
You palm him through his underwear again, enjoying the delicious moan from him. You motion for him to take them off and he does. "Good boy." you purr and you swear you can see an actual sparkle in his eyes. Who would have thought the mean Internet Cafe employee, who everyone is so scared of, would be melting under your palm at a few words of praise. His cock jumps free from the confines of his boxers, but you don't give it the attention it craves so much. Not yet. Your hands drift up, playing with the hem of his shirt, your nails grazing his stomach lightly, sending a wave of heat coursing through his veins. A sharp exhale escapes him before he can stop it, his muscles tensing under your touch.
After feeling that you've teased him enough, you take his dick in your hands, the tip an angry shade of red, pre-cum spilling from the anticipation. Mixing it with your spit, you start to stroke him. You pay attention to alternating in pressure, swiping your thumb over his tip every time you passed it. Then you nuzzle against it, pressing soft, lingering kisses along the side, your warm breath sending another shudder through him. You are savoring every inch before you begin. Only then your lips part, and you finally take him in. The first flick of your tongue sends a sharp jolt of pleasure up his spine. He has to grip the desk, not to push his hips. Your lips wrap around him, slow and firm, dragging along his length with precision.
"Feels so good." he borderline whines looking down at you. "Keep going please." his hands find the back of your head, not pushing, just wanting to feel you.
Your tongue glides firmly along the underside, tracing every vein, your movements deliberate as you circle the tip before taking him in your mouth again, your lips stretching around his girth. The lewd sound of your lips smacking around you loud in the empty room, making his stomach tighten. You look up at him innocently, as you take more and more of him, your warm and wet mouth mixed with the view makes him almost lose his mind and cum on the spot. He has to lean his head back and concentrate not to end it too soon.
You are however relentless—taking him deeper each time, your spit slicking every inch of him. You bob your head with a slow, steady rhythm, a mix of suction and slippery, messy tongue work that makes his breath stutter.
Suddenly there is a noise of a door opening. His hand on your head gripping your hair, motioning for you to stop. You do, still with his cock in your mouth, you feel him sit up straighter, fixing his hair. There are footsteps coming closer, but luckily they can't see you from your position under the desk.
"Hello, can I print out a few things? Is there a working printer?" an unfamiliar voice asks.
Joost clears his throat. "Hello, yes. It's over there. How many copies?" his voice trying to hide the fact that your soft mouth is still wrapped around his length cockwarming him. The customer goes on a long tangent telling a story how the past few places had trouble with printing and he is walking all around town trying to make a copy of a document. Joost hums in approval listening to his story, one of his hands still wrapped tightly on your hair, making sure you don't get an idea of teasing him.
The customer walks over to the printer. "Call if you need any help." Joost tells him. You hope the customer can do it on his own.
As the footsteps grow quieter and further away, Joost releases his hand from your hair. You move away from him as quietly as possible, leaning your head on his thigh. He looks down at you, pressing a finger to his slips motioning for you to stay quiet and you nod.
You can hear the printer beeping and the customer settling in behind the computer. After awhile you start to get bored, as Joost got back to typing on the keyboard, probably pretending to work not to give away what was happening before. You start to press soft kisses along his thigh. He doesn't stop you, so you continue doing it almost with no sound, the buzz of the printer also helping to hide any noise. You get bolder and bite him, although not hard enough to produce the noise that comes out of him – too loud for how light the bite was. You lick over the spot, he looks down at you with raised eyebrows and you smile apologetically.
"Everything ok?" the customer asks.
"Oh. Yeah, all good." Joost replies. His voice shaky. "Just, um, you know, looking at prices. They seem to bite for real nowadays." the customer laughs at that and agrees. The printing noise continues.
You have to cover your mouth not to laugh at him too. After giving him a few minutes to recover, you continue pressing kisses along his thigh, inching closer to his neglected cock. He stiffens in his seat, but doesn't stop you, so you go further. You ghost your lips over the sensitive skin along his shaft, licking at the tip. His grip tightens over the mouse. You take him in your mouth, building a slow rhythm, not swallowing him too deep to avoid the noise, but enough to tease him. His breathing grows heavier and his big hand finds the back of your head again, his fingers weaving through your hair.
"Fuck. Stop stop." you hear him whisper quietly.
"All done?" you hear Joost say.
"Yep. Thank you so much." the customer replies. "Are you...alright?" he asks tentatively after a pause.
"Yes, I am totally fine. Tired probably. A long shift." he says with no waver in his voice, which makes the guy believe it, not wanting to ask any more questions.
The customer pays and you hear him leave.
"Shit." Joost exhales, his body relaxing. You are also glad he is finally gone. "You little devil." he looks down at you again. He brings you up from under the table and leans down to meet you halfway for a kiss. He groans still tasting himself on your mouth, he tilts your head to deepen the kiss, his cock twitching when you reach out to touch it. You break the kiss, "So sensitive." you whisper against his mouth.
"Get back to work." he leaves one last kiss on your lips and you take your place between his legs. There is a sense of urgency in the air, hoping no one else comes in.
You spit on his tip again, slow and deliberate, watching the saliva trail down before you gather it with your tongue and take him in your mouth once more. You deepen the rhythm, your mouth molding around him, your cheeks hollowing as you suck with more urgency, a wet, obscene symphony filling the space beneath the desk. The slick sounds grow louder, more obscene, as spit pools and dribbles from the corners of your mouth, coating his length in a messy sheen.
You take him to the base, your throat clenching around him, a loud moan leaving his lips, before you pull back, eyes fluttering your breath labored. You let another thick strand of spit fall, your fingers smoothing it down as you stroke him with both hands, your grip greedy, insatiable. Then go back in, your nails digging lightly into his thigh, steadying yourself, like you're getting lost in it. You feel yourself get wet, your clit pulsing steadily, listening to his moans, watching his face scrunch up in pleasure, his heavy hand on the back of your head.
"You like it, huh?" he asks, his chest heaving up and down. You hum around him, the vibrations sending an additional wave of pleasure for him. "So pretty on your knees for me." he brushes away a tear, which falls down your cheek.
He presses you down just a little more. "Can I do this?" he asks and you moan in approval, nodding. Your throat tightens as he pushes you deeper, the tip hitting the back of your throat, making you gag around him. He keeps you there for a moment, his eyes closing in pleasure, "Fuck.." he exhales and lets go off you.
You wrap your hand around his slick length. Your strokes are slow, loud, your fingers working him with a deliberate pace. Looking up at him from under the desk, you look utterly wrecked—lips swollen and slick, spit trailing down your chin, eyes glassy and dark with hunger. He thinks you look like a dream, he is already planning the date in the back of his head, he wants to wake up next to you, he even imagines growing old with you, which he never did before. You pant softly, your breath shaky, as both hands work him with slow, messy strokes, your fingers coated in the evidence of your own devotion.
His thighs tremble as you keep stroking, your grip firm, fingers gliding over his slick length with a slow, almost lazy confidence. His breath is uneven, hot, moans slipping past his lips, same as your own, as if you are lost in the act itself, dazed by the sensation of having him in your hands. Your palm twists just right as you drag it up and down. Your eyes stay locked on his, a smirk on your pretty face. You lick over his tip and wrap your lips around him, sucking, bobbing your head up and down.
His body tenses as your throat tightens around him, your free hand rolling his balls in your palm as you move up and down with an unrelenting pace. Your movements are fast, ruthless, each descent pushing him deeper into your throat. His moans turn breathier, more frantic. Your tongue presses against the underside, rubbing against that sensitive spot as your lips stretch around his girth. Tears prick the corners of your eyes, spit dripping from your chin, but you don't stop determined to take him to completion.
His head tips back, mouth falling open in a loud moan as his hips jerk forward involuntarily. Pleasure crashes over him like a tidal wave, blinding, unstoppable. His muscles go taut, as he cums deep inside you, and you moan around him, swallowing greedily as if you're desperate for every last drop. The thick warmth shoots down your throat, and you take it all effortlessly, your lips sealed tight, sucking him through every wave.
You take your mouth off of him, your own breathing heavy. You leave a few more kisses on his thigh, helping him come back to his senses.
"That was... incredible. You are incredible." he says, pulling you back onto his lap. He takes a tissue from his desk and wipes gently at your lips.
You lay your head on his shoulder, as he puts his pants back on and wraps his hands around you. "Can I take you home? My shift ends soon." he asks carefully, nervously.
You lift your head looking up at him. "Yes."
He did take you home and fucked you until you couldn't take his touch anymore, his attention fixated on your pleasure alone. And you kept coming back to his place, months later it becoming a part of you, as much as it is for him. Your lives gradually intertwining more and more, learning how to be the best for each other.
You hear your alarm clock go off, reaching out to turn it off. Joost groans beside you, he only recently came back home after his shift, but it is already time for you to start getting ready for work. You feel his arm wrap tighter around you, his chest pressed tight around your back, as if he could be any closer to you.
"I need to get up, Joost." you try to peal yourself off of him.
"Just 5 more minutes, please." he feels like he hasn't gotten enough of you yet. He always feels so cold without you in his bed. He can't even remember how his life was without you in it. Your warmth seems to have fix everything.
He nuzzles closer to you, burying his head into your neck. You turn in his embrace, kissing him slowly, he immediately reacts and returns the kiss.
"How soon do you have to leave at the latest?" he asks.
"We have like.. 10 minutes max." you say. You really can't be late again. It is always the same with him when it is a night shift for him – he comes back late, you have to leave early. He wants to cuddle for 5 more minutes, which turns into something more, but you don't complain, you can't get enough of him too.
"Perfect." you feel him smile against your neck.

❝I don't see myself
Why I can't stay alone just by myself?
Wish I was comfortable just with myself.❞
Tumblr media
Rafe had invited you out with his friends for dinner, insisting it would be fun. You weren’t exactly thrilled about it—his friends could be a lot, and not always in a good way—but Rafe wanted you there, and if he wanted something, you usually gave in.
The restaurant was one of those upscale casual spots—nice enough that you wouldn’t show up in sweats, but not so fancy that you needed a reservation. You felt good in your outfit, your confidence high as you walked in beside Rafe, your hand tucked securely in his.
At first, things were fine. A few laughs, some inside jokes you didn’t entirely get but played along with for Rafe’s sake. But then, the teasing started.
It was subtle at first. Little comments. Snide smirks. Looks.
You were sipping your drink when Topper leaned back in his chair, nodding toward your half-empty plate. “Damn, you’re really going in on that pasta, huh?”
The comment was laced with something sharp. You stiffened, glancing at Rafe, but he was too busy scrolling through his phone to catch it.
Kelce chuckled, adding, “Yeah, we just got the food, and you’re already halfway done. You weren’t, like, starving all day or something, were you?”
Your grip on your fork tightened. “I just eat at a normal pace, unlike you guys who act like you’re allergic to chewing.”
“True,” Sarah chimed in, sending you a supportive smile, but it wasn’t enough to stop the way Topper and Kelce exchanged glances like they were amused by you.
“Relax, we’re just joking,” Topper said, though his smirk told a different story. “You’re just a little more into your food than the rest of us. It’s kinda cute, actually.”
You clenched your jaw. You weren’t stupid. You knew exactly what he was saying.
Rafe finally looked up then, his gaze flicking between you and his friends. He didn’t say anything—maybe he didn’t even realize what was happening—but his arm moved to rest along the back of your chair, his fingers brushing your shoulder like he could feel the shift in your mood.
Then, it got worse.
When the waiter came back to check on your table, you ordered dessert—a slice of cheesecake, because you wanted it. But the moment the waiter walked away, Kelce let out a low whistle.
“Man, you’re still going? Gotta respect the commitment.”
“She’s bulking,” Topper snickered, nudging Rafe’s arm. “Right, Cameron?”
Your stomach twisted. It wasn’t even what they were saying—it was the tone, the way they were looking at you, like you were some joke they were all in on.
And Rafe? He laughed.
It was a small chuckle, almost absentminded, but it was enough.
Something in you cracked.
You shoved your chair back, the sound scraping against the floor as you stood up.
“Yeah, you know what? Fuck this,” you said, grabbing your bag. “I’m not gonna sit here and let you guys act like I’m some fucking sideshow act for your entertainment.”
Rafe’s head snapped up at your tone, his amusement vanishing instantly. “Baby—”
“No,” you cut him off, glaring at his so-called friends. “You guys are pathetic. Like, seriously. Sitting here laughing at me like you didn’t all get your asses handed to you in that stupid beer pong tournament last week.”
Kelce scoffed. “What—”
“And Topper,” you turned on him next, voice dripping with venom, “you wanna talk about eating habits? You were the same guy who cried over his macros being off when you didn’t get enough protein at that party. Grow the fuck up.”
Topper’s face turned red.
“Now if you’ll excuse me,” you finished, shoving your chair under the table, “I’m gonna leave before I waste another second of my time with this bullshit.”
You turned to walk away, and for a second, you thought Rafe would just let you go. But then, his chair scraped back, and before you even reached the door, his hand caught yours.
“Hey, hey, baby,” he said, pulling you to a stop. His voice was softer now, lower. “Wait.”
You yanked your hand away. “For what, Rafe? So you can keep laughing with them? So I can keep being the punchline?”
His jaw clenched. “You know that’s not—fuck—I wasn’t laughing at you, I swear.”
“Didn’t seem like it,” you shot back, crossing your arms.
Rafe exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. Then, without a word, he turned back to the table.
“Yo,” he said, his voice dangerously calm as he leaned against the edge. “You guys wanna tell me what the fuck that was?”
Kelce blinked. “Dude, come on, it was just—”
“I don’t care what you think it was,” Rafe cut him off, his tone cold. “That’s my girl you’re talking to like that. My girl, who I brought here, and you think you can sit there and clown her like she’s some fucking joke?”
Topper raised his hands. “Rafe, man—”
“Nah,” Rafe shook his head. “Nah. Y’all are dumb if you think I’m letting this slide. You wanna make jokes? Fine. Just don’t expect to sit at my table while you’re doing it.”
Silence.
Kelce shifted uncomfortably. “Dude, we were just messing—”
“Then mess with each other,” Rafe snapped. “Not her. Never her.”
You stared at him, your heart twisting, but you didn’t let your guard down. Not yet.
Rafe turned back to you, his expression softer now. “Baby, I swear I didn’t mean to laugh. I wasn’t thinking. But I should’ve said something immediately, and I didn’t. That’s on me. I fucked up.”
You narrowed your eyes. “Yeah, you did.”
He sighed, stepping closer. “I know. And I hate that I made you feel like I was one of them just now. But I promise you, I’m not.”
You didn’t say anything, still holding your ground.
Rafe hesitated, then, in a low voice, added, “Please don’t go. Let me fix this.”
You exhaled, tension still thrumming through your veins, but… fuck. He was trying.
After a long moment, you sighed. “You’re paying for my cheesecake.”
Rafe’s lips twitched, relief flooding his face. “Obviously.”
And when he reached for your hand this time, you let him.

pairing: rafe cameron x fem!introverted!kook!reader
cw: swearing, y/n being an awkward mess, subtle and indirect mention of sexual themes
synopsys: it's the last year of high school and y/n is paired up with rafe cameron for a 2 week long project in art class. this wouldn't be a problem if y/n wasn't awkward as hell and well ... if there wasn't her big fat crush on him. could this be the beginning of a friendship or maybe even more? one thing was certain: rafe cameron's intense, impulsive, and complex in ways that weren't always for the better, and y/n's mind? that shit was even more tangled. but she hadn't spent seven years crushing on him from a distance just to let this chance slip through her fingers ... right?
summary of recent events: y/n and rafe were paired up for a 2 week-long art project. they agreed to meet during lunch break to start working on it. after y/n picked him up after PE, they headed for the school’s dining hall.
word count: 3.3k+
a/n: i don't have much to say for this one as it's just an immediate continuation of the last one but i'm very thankful for the likes and comments on the first part. i didn't expect any at all so a big thank you to everyone who decided to support <3 i hope you also enjoy this one as well :) (also super excited when i’ll get to future parts where y/n gets to be more silly :3)
Important: I started using dividers after chat convos that include more than one screenshot, so you guys know when to switch back to the written story. Yk you usually click on the image to get a full-screen mode to read the messages easier, so whenever the blue rectangle image pops up, you know when to back out. Makes it easier to avoid potential spoilers, hope that makes sense :P
Tumblr media
The dining hall at Kildare Academy was moderately full. Most students’ classes were already over, and a lot of Kooks went to the restaurants down the street, even though the serving station offered fresh high-quality food.
Okay, fries weren’t exactly healthy but they probably made them from potatoes grown specifically for Kooks (yes, as a Kook yourself, you were their biggest hater).
Whatever. The dining hall wasn’t the reason your heart was about to explode in your chest.
No. You were having lunch.
With. Rafe. Cameron.
If someone had told you this morning, you would’ve laughed.
Because, hello??? Rafe had been your crush since you’d first set foot in Kildare Academy in fifth grade.
Okay, not exactly special—what Figure 8 girl hadn’t had a crush on Rafe at some point?
But that wasn’t the point. This whole ... thing just felt so surreal.
A crush had always been just that—a crush. You weren’t the type to walk up to a guy and say, Hey, you’re cute, let’s go on a date. That would mean putting yourself out there and making yourself vulnerable.
And the last thing you ever wanted was to be seen.
Not in a physical way. That was unavoidable. No, what scared you was someone actually seeing you, the parts of yourself you kept locked away.
Ew, that sounded so fucking dramatic.
So while your 11-year-old self was doing backflips of joy, your 18-year-old self was having a full-blown existential crisis.
Okay, maybe not that bad.
“You were right,” Rafe said, pulling you from your thoughts. He was sitting across from you, pushing his fork through his quinoa-veggie bowl.
You eyed him confused. “About what?”
Rafe nodded toward your fries, the corner of his lips tugging into a subtle smile. “I am a fries guy. Quinoa tastes like shit and rocks.”
You glanced at his bowl before meeting his gaze again, a knowing smile on your face. “I guess it’s the color. Red and black ones are usually more bitter and more firm than their white counterparts.”
Rafe raised a brow, amused. “As a quinoa expert, you could’ve warned me.”
Your cheeks heated. You kind of had, with that dumb joke outside the gym earlier. “I thought you already knew what it tasted like.”
“I do,” he shrugged, taking a bite of his bowl anyway. “Maybe I just didn’t want you to label me as the fries guy.”
Wait—was that a joke? And why did he care what you thought about him?
God, I suck at whatever this is.
So you just forced a chuckle and took a sip of your water.
...
Shit.
Now there was that awkward silence you always dreaded in conversations.
Okay, okay, stay calm.
Should I say something? Should I offer him my fries?
You almost laughed. Hell no, that’d be so weird. Plus the quinoa part of his bowl didn’t even take up a third of the whole meal.
You wished Cara were here. She’d know exactly what to say and how to act. She went on dates all the time, made out with guys at parties just for fun, and could hold a normal fucking conversation with a guy she was interested in.
“So, you like… a real artist or something?” Rafe asked absentmindedly, breaking the unbearable silence. “Since you picked Art as an elective?”
You looked up, quickly swallowing the bite of fries in your mouth before giving him a nervous smile. “Yeah, I mean—no, I wouldn’t call myself a real artist, not like Da Vinci or such.” You let out an awkward laugh. “I just draw sometimes when I’m bored.”
Jesus Christ, did he have to look at you like that? His blue eyes were drilling into your entire existence.
Rafe nodded. “Digital or traditional?”
You blinked at him, stunned.
How the fuck did Frat Boy Rafe Cameron know the difference between digital and traditional art?
Your expression made him smirk. And as if he had read your thoughts, he said, “My little sister Wheezie draws random shit on her iPad all the time.” He shrugged. “I don’t know, figured it was a thing—”
“No, I mean—yes, totally,” you blurted, immediately turning red because you just cut him off. “Most people start with pencil and paper but drawing on a tablet or iPad is just as legit. Um… so, yeah … I do both, to answer your question.” You smiled awkwardly.
Help, he would’ve had a more entertaining conversation with a rock.
Rafe barely raised a brow, a lazy smile on his lips. “It’s cool that you draw. Guess I got lucky having you as my partner for this project.”
WHAT.
Okay, everything’s chill.
NO, NOTHING WAS CHILL.
Is he flirting with me??? Is he just being nice ??? WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN.
What were you even supposed to reply to that?
Hahaha, thanks, did you know I made our Sims get married in eighth grade? Topper was your best man by the way.
WHAT THE FUCK, NO, STOP.
Whatever, just say something. Anything.
“Thanks,” you mumbled with an embarrassed smile, eyes fixed on your fries and salad.
From the corner of your eye, you saw Rafe lean back, pushing his half-eaten bowl aside. He shrugged. “Only sucks for you. Art’s not really my thing.”
No shit.
Also, what was that supposed to mean? Was he fishing for a compliment? Like Aww, no, come on, I’m sure you’re great at it.
Holy shit. Was Rafe Cameron secretly a pick-me guy? Were all these years crushing on him wasted?
“Yeah, I figured. Most people just take art class thinking it’ll be an easy A”, you said before he could say more and give you the ick.
OH my god, take it back, take it back—
When you saw his expression, you wanted to crawl into a hole and never come back. He looked… surprised? Confused? Maybe a little offended…?
Then the tension in his face eased. His lips twitched slightly before curving into a lopsided grin, making him look unexpectedly boyish.
“Shit, yeah. Guess that makes me ‘most people’”, he said with such ease, it was like you hadn’t just called him out.
How the hell did he manage to turn all your miserable attempts at a normal conversation into something so smooth? If you were in his place, you would've already walked out and dropped art class.
Yo, Mr Smith, this chick you paired me up with, she’s got the social skills of a dead fish.
This was so frustrating. It wasn’t like you were socially incompetent—not really—but around him, your brain just seemed to completely shut down.
“That’s not what I meant,” you said, furrowing your brows, annoyed at your own nervousness.
“Nah, it’s true,” Rafe replied, shrugging. Then he looked at you, a teasing edge in his voice. “So, if your art grade tanks, you know who to blame.”
Okayyy, he was either trying to get on your good side or looking for a smooth way out of this project—and you weren’t sure which was worse.
You swallowed your last fry and gave a chuckle. I sound like a fake ass bitch. “I’m sure you'll manage. Art is not about drawing perfectly — it’s more about the ideas and how you approach them.”
Jesus, you sounded just like Mr. Smith.
Rafe’s lips twitched into a cocky smirk. “Alright, then I guess you’ll have to help me be more creative.”
...
HUH?
OKAY. I MEAN SURE.
Be for fucking real, did he even realize what his words did to you?
Of course, he did—he probably flirted with girls daily. Or was he just lucky to be born with full charisma stats?
Probably both.
God, this was so embarrassing. Your face probably screamed HI CAN YOU MARRY ME, and to him, you were just some random Kook girl he was stuck with for a boring art project.
Okay, wait no.
Now YOU sounded like a pick-me.
“Yeah, we’ll see,” you said, cheeks pink, before clearing your throat to change the subject. “Okay, so… maybe we should start brainstorming some ideas? Like a mind map or mood board or something?”
Rafe leaned forward, crossing his arms on the table, and you had to fight the urge to glance at his biceps which flexed slightly as he moved. “Mood board? You talking about Pinterest type shit?”
Okay, wow, Rafe was absolutely not the type of guy you thought he was. Did he know about this stuff from Wheezie? Or some friends-with-benefits girlie?
Um, no, Y/N, none of your business.
You gave him a quick nod. “Yeah, something like that. We can also just start by writing stuff down.”
Rafe shrugged in agreement. “Okay.”
Okay.
He looked at you expectantly.
Ugh, did he really expect YOU to be the one taking notes?
Well, crush or not, he was still just a guy, after all.
You reached for the iPad in your bag, grabbed the Apple Pencil, and opened the Notes app.
As you scribbled down today’s date and gave the note a title, Rafe leaned in even closer, glancing at your screen. “Is this the iPad you use for drawing?”
He was so close now, his woody-aquatic aftershave filling your nose, giving you a strange feeling in your chest … and a very special part in your lower body.
“Yeah,” you replied shortly.
“Show me something then.”
“No.”
HUH?
“No?” Rafe’s gaze flicked from the screen to your flushed face, his lips curling into a crooked grin. There was a cocky glimmer in his gaze.
Good heavens, up close his eyes looked even more beautiful. They were the kind of blue people wrote bad poetry about. To you, they were a pretty contradiction—cold in color, warm in the way they lingered on your own eyes.
Heart racing, you looked away and laughed nervously. “I mean… maybe we should focus on the project first, you know, time pressure and all.”
With an amused scoff, Rafe leaned back again, glancing at his phone (wow, rude) for a second before saying, “To the boring part then."
Somehow it felt like you'd scratched his ego.
Girl, how could you mess up this badly? He probably thought you were some pretentious nerd now.
“So… do you have any ideas?” You twirled the Apple Pencil in your fingers, just praying for this painfully long lunch break to end.
Rafe pressed his lips together, scratching his jaw. The glass of his Rolex reflected a spectrum of lights under the ceiling’s lights. “Uh… dunno. What’s the prompt again? A modern take on the Greek gods?”
“A reinterpretation,” you corrected — then realizing you sounded like a know-it-all, so you quickly added, “but yeah, a modern version could definitely count.”
He nodded absentmindedly, fingers drumming on the table. “Okay, so…", he gave a dry laugh and ran a hand over his face. "Shit, what a stupid prompt."
You chewed the inner part of your cheeks. Okay, he clearly had zero interest in spending his free period working on some elective class’ project with you.
But it had been his idea to meet during lunch, you reminded yourself.
Forcing a smile, you offered, “We can always do this later. We still have two weeks.”
Rafe raised a brow. “You got plans or something?”
Oh. Guess that didn’t go over well.
You shook your head. “No, but if you’re not feeling it—”
“I’m not,” he cut in, his fingers stopping their steady rhythm against the table. “But we’re already here, so.”
That didn’t sound very motivated.
“Yeah, I guess”, you said, cringing at the sudden bitterness in your tone.
By the shift in Rafe’s expression, he must have noticed but before he had a chance to comment on it, you quickly picked up on what he’d said earlier. “So, a modern version of Olympus sounds fun. Maybe we can make it about the gods’ roles in today’s society or something like that.”
Rafe eyed you quietly, his expression impossible to read. He then tilted his head, scratching his nose. “Yeah, I guess. Maybe Zeus as the CEO of Olympus Industries or some shit. He’s the big boss, right? And everyone else just kinda works for him.”
Your lips curled into a soft smile. A corporate structure? Why were you not surprised.
“What?” He looked genuinely confused.
You shook your head, cheeks heating up again. “Nothing, that’s… that’s good.”
He raised his brows, a challenging tone in his voice. “You think it’s crap.”
“No,” you replied quickly, then adopted a more serious expression. “Really, it’s a nice take. Maybe his wife — Hera I mean — could be his girl boss PR manager, always cleaning up his scandals?”
A grin tugged at his lips, and with that, the weird tension in the air seemed to fade. “Shit, isn’t she also his sister? Well, yeah, guess she’s gotta cover up his dozen affairs. That guy’s a huge player.”
Okay, real talk—where did he get all this information from? He really didn’t seem like the guy to be interested in greek mythology.
It was cute though.
You couldn’t help but chuckle. “You seem to be an expert in this field.”
He scoffed amused, leaning back into his chair. His eyes mustered you with a strange mix of entertainment and irritation. “You think I'm a fuckboy or some shit?”
You furrowed your brows in confusion. Huh? What did he mean—
Did he-- ... OH SHIT.
A revolting feeling spread in your stomach and your cheeks probably invented a new shade of red.
WHY ON EARTH HAD YOU PHRASED IT LIKE THAT?!
Some evil gods or spirits must be messing with you right now because there was no way this situation could get any more awkward.
Frantically, you shook your head. “What? I… oh my god, no. NO! I was referring to the Greek gods. Not… you don’t give off such vibes. I mean, it’s none of my business anyway.”
Hey, if there’s a sniper out there, please take me out.
In your mind, you already estimated the cost of moving to another country. Canada had pretty landscapes and New Zealand--
A laugh escaped his lips — cocky, yet carrying a certain warmth. It made your heart stop and race at the same time.
“Relax,” he said bemused, leaning forward with his arms crossed, biceps flexing again. “People have said worse things to my face.”
No, this didn’t sit right with you.
You shook your head again, daring to meet his eyes. “No, I’m serious, I didn’t mean it like that. I was just … surprised about your knowledge of Greek mythology.” You froze, realizing this also sounded stupid. “Not that I took you for clueless…” Shit. You sighed. “It was stupid of me to phrase it like that and I don’t want you to think I take you for a fuckboy. It’s a shitty term anyway.”
Your nerves were going crazy and you fidgeted with the case of your iPad, waiting for his response.
Rafe silently STARING at you didn’t help at all. He seemed … surprised, maybe a little perplexed even.
SAY SOMETHING PLEASE.
“Alright”, he finally said, his usual cocky expression returning to his face. He slightly shifted in his seat, avoiding your gaze for just a second but long enough for you to notice. “Guess I picked up a bit from Wheezie when she had to do a presentation for school or whatever. She couldn't shut up about it. Shit was annoying as hell.”
For a moment, you didn't know what to respond. Why wasn't he offended? Why didn't he mock you for being so awkward?
You smiled, trying to relax your nerves. “Sounds like we could use her little expert knowledge on this project.”
Rafe gave a low chuckle. “Well, I believe we’ve already got a little expert right here”, he said with a crooked smile, his eyes burning a hole into your soul.
Oh. My. God.
The teasing edge in his voice made your brain shut down. This had to count as flirting, right? RIGHT?!
You chuckled nervously, cheeks a deep shade of red, and placed the Apple Pencil back on the screen. “Then I hope whatever I picked up from reading Percy Jackson will be enough.“
That's it, Y/N, you are officially banned from doing any more jokes.
-----------------------------------------------
In English class, you could finally breathe again.
Your suffering was over.
During the rest of the lunch break, Rafe and you had talked about some more ideas. Gladly, you hadn’t embarrassed yourself any further (if that was even possible because you’d definitely reached your peak today).
At the end of lunch, Topper had picked him up and they’d left for their own English class. Your goodbyes had been a little awkward but you’d managed.
Right now, you were grateful they didn’t attend the same class as you because you certainly didn’t want to listen to them laughing about what a weird ass person you were.
Okay, just breathe. I did it, it’s over.
You tried to concentrate on whatever Mrs. Andrade was talking about but only half the students truly paid attention.
Afternoons in the Outer Banks truly were a cruel thing.
So you decided to check your phone:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sighing quietly, you put your phone away and rubbed your temples. A thousand thoughts raced through your mind, yet at the same time, it felt so empty.
Maybe I'm lucky and tomorrow I’ll wake up to a big newsflash: This just came in, Kildare Academy was reduced to ashes by a sudden fire.
But when had you ever been lucky?
Your phone buzzed again but you really didn’t feel like talking and thinking about Rafe anymore.
This guy had thrown you off track in just an hour but in the best and worst way possible.
And even though every part of you wanted to run from the thought of seeing him again — the way that uncomfortable feeling in your chest wouldn’t let up — there was still a small part of you that found yourself oddly eager to see him again, work with him on that stupid little project and listen to his stupid little laugh.
Because somehow in just sixty minutes you’d learned more about Rafe Cameron than you had in nearly seven years at Kildare Academy.
For instance, he was a lot kinder than you’d expected. Not that you’d ever thought he was like a high school movie bully or some shit but his occasional soft smiles and the way he didn't mock you when you'd said some stupid shit had definitely surprised you.
Plus he seemed to care about his little sister which was such an attractive attribute (and the bare minimum let's be honest).
All of this was so strange.
It sounded stupid but Rafe Cameron had always been just a concept to you. A crush you enjoyed looking at and maybe making up your own little idea of (and some scenarios to fall asleep to be for real).
But now he was... real and—
Bzzrt.
Seriously, Cara had class too—and with Ms. Langford, no less. And unlike Mrs. Andrade, she wasn’t exactly chill.
You picked up your phone again, expecting some delusional text messages—but the moment you saw the notification on your lock screen, your heart stopped.
No fucking way.
NO. FUCKING. WAY.
Holding your breath, you unlocked your phone, and the second your eyes landed on the profile picture, your heart took off in a full sprint. You didn’t even register Mrs. Andrade calling your name.
Because by some strange twist of fate, Rafe Cameron had gotten your number and decided to text you—after what you were sure had been your ultimate humiliation today.
You didn’t know whether to grin, cheer, or jump out of your seat—shit, maybe all three—but instead, you just sat there, wondering if there really was a god of luck and if he’d just decided to bless you.

All of Us
Married life with Austin had been a dream—mostly. Sure, there were the occasional quirks to adjust to, like his habit of leaving guitar picks everywhere or the way he somehow managed to steal half your blanket in the middle of the night. But those small annoyances were overshadowed by the warmth of being with someone who loved you deeply and made you laugh every single day.
Still, life hadn’t slowed down after the wedding. If anything, it had sped up. Austin’s career was booming, and your own schedule wasn’t far behind. Between your work commitments and his time spent on set or promoting his projects, your days felt like a never-ending whirlwind. Yet, even with the chaos, there’d been moments of quiet clarity—conversations about your future, about the family you both dreamed of having one day.
The decision to stop using contraception had been an easy one, even if it felt a little surreal at first. You weren’t actively trying for a baby, but you were open to the idea. “If it happens, it happens,” Austin had said with that easy smile of his, his hand warm and reassuring on yours. “And if it doesn’t right away, that’s okay too. We’ve got time.”
You’d carried those words with you ever since, a quiet reassurance whenever the thought of parenthood felt overwhelming. But in the back of your mind, you’d assumed it would take time—months, maybe even a year or two. Enough time to keep the idea comfortably abstract.
At least, that’s what you thought.
Lately, though, something felt… off. It wasn’t anything obvious, just a subtle shift you couldn’t quite put your finger on. You felt unusually tired, dragging yourself out of bed each morning despite a full night’s sleep. Your appetite was off too—some mornings you couldn’t stomach breakfast, while other days you found yourself craving the strangest combinations of food. And then there was coffee. The thought of it made your stomach turn, which was almost laughable considering how much you normally relied on it to function.
You brushed it off at first, blaming it on stress or a passing bug. But it was hard to ignore the way you felt during brunch with a close friend one weekend. As you sat across from her, pushing a perfectly good cappuccino to the side, she gave you a curious look.
“You okay?” she asked, tilting her head slightly. “You’ve been looking a little pale lately. And I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think I’ve seen you skip coffee twice now.”
You waved her off, trying to muster a casual smile. “I’m fine. Just tired, I think.”
Her brows knit together, her concern evident. “Tired, queasy, and avoiding coffee? Those are classic signs of pregnancy, you know.”
You froze, her words landing with an unexpected weight. “I—what?”
She shrugged, clearly not thinking much of her comment. “I’m just saying, maybe you should check. Stranger things have happened.”
The idea hung in the air between you, filling the silence that followed. She moved on to another topic, chatting away about her plans for the week, but you barely heard her. Your mind was racing, replaying her words over and over.
Could I be?
The thought unsettled you, not because it was unwelcome but because it hadn’t even crossed your mind until now. You and Austin had been so focused on life as it was—work, travel, settling into your marriage—that the possibility of pregnancy felt like a distant concept. And yet, as you sat there, your hand resting absently on your stomach, you realised it wasn’t as impossible as you’d thought.
Your thoughts drifted back to when Austin had come home for a whirlwind weekend visit about a month ago. It had been one of those rare breaks in his filming schedule, and the two of you had made the most of every second. You’d spent lazy mornings in bed, stolen kisses in the kitchen, and tangled limbs in the quiet intimacy of nights that felt too short.
You’d even joked as he packed to leave again, “Don’t get too comfortable on set. I’ll need you to come home and warm up my side of the bed soon.” He’d grinned, pulling you close and murmuring something cheeky about how he’d done more than warm the bed. The memory made your cheeks flush now, the timing suddenly clicking into place in your mind. Could it really have happened then?
By the time brunch ended, you couldn’t shake the idea. As much as you wanted to dismiss it, the possibility lingered, growing stronger with every passing moment.
The idea of being pregnant was impossible to ignore now. The symptoms, your friend’s teasing comment, the gnawing curiosity—it all pointed to one possibility. But even as the thought settled in your mind, you felt a flicker of doubt. It could be nothing. Just stress. Or something I ate. It doesn’t have to mean…
Still, the thought lingered. By the time you got home that evening, the nagging question had grown too loud to ignore. You paced around the living room, chewing your bottom lip as your mind raced. Part of you wanted to wait—wait until Austin was home so you could do this together. You’d always pictured it that way, the two of you holding hands and staring at the little test stick together, waiting for the result.
But he wasn’t here. He was halfway across the country on set, wrapping up the last few days of a gruelling shoot. And though you knew he’d want to be part of this moment, you couldn’t wait any longer. You needed to know.
Your heart thudded in your chest as you grabbed your keys and headed to the nearest pharmacy. The fluorescent lights felt harsher than usual as you scanned the shelves, your eyes darting between the rows of pregnancy tests. There were so many options—some promising fast results, others boasting extra accuracy. You grabbed a box at random, barely reading the label, and hurried to the counter.
The drive home felt surreal, the little box on the passenger seat seeming heavier than it should. You couldn’t believe this was happening. Just a few days ago, pregnancy hadn’t even crossed your mind, and now you were about to find out if your entire world was about to change.
Back at home, you set the test on the bathroom counter and stared at it for what felt like an eternity. The instructions were simple enough—pee on the stick, wait three minutes—but the weight of what those three minutes might reveal made your hands tremble. What if it’s positive? What if it’s negative? What if this is all a big mistake and I’m just overthinking everything?
You exhaled shakily and opened the box, your fingers fumbling slightly with the wrapper. “Okay,” you murmured to yourself, trying to steady your nerves. “It’s just a test. You can do this.”
The seconds that followed felt both rushed and agonisingly slow. You did what the instructions said, placed the test stick on the counter, and set a timer on your phone. Then you sat down on the edge of the bathtub, hands clasped tightly in your lap as you stared at the little white stick.
Your mind raced with a thousand thoughts at once. You thought about Austin’s easy smile and the way he always reassured you whenever life felt overwhelming. You thought about the quiet conversations you’d had late at night, whispering about what the future might hold. You thought about how surreal it all felt—this tiny piece of plastic holding the answer to a question that could change everything.
The timer buzzed, jolting you out of your thoughts. Your heart felt like it might beat out of your chest as you stood up and reached for the test. For a moment, you hesitated, your hand hovering just above it. This is it, you thought. Whatever happens, everything changes now.
With a deep breath, you picked it up and looked at the result.
Two lines. Positive.
You stared at it, your breath catching in your throat. A wave of emotions crashed over you all at once—disbelief, excitement, nervousness, and something you could only describe as pure joy. “Oh my god,” you whispered, the words trembling on your lips. “Oh my god.”
You sank onto the floor, the test still clutched in your hand as tears pricked your eyes. It felt surreal, like a dream you hadn’t fully allowed yourself to imagine yet. You were going to have a baby. You and Austin were going to have a baby.
For a moment, you let yourself sit there, basking in the quiet wonder of it all. Then the realisation hit you: Austin didn’t know yet. The thought made your heart race all over again, but this time, it was with excitement. He’d be home in just a few days, and you wanted to tell him in person. This wasn’t something you could share over the phone, not when it was this important.
You stood up, your mind already racing with ideas. If there was one thing you knew, it was that Austin deserved to find out in a way that was as special as the moment itself. Something meaningful, something that would capture just how much this moment meant to you both.
The day Austin was due home, you could barely contain your anticipation. You had cleaned the house twice, set the table for his favourite dinner, and even spent longer than usual deciding what to wear. The news you carried felt like a treasure burning a hole in your pocket, and you wanted everything to be perfect.
When you heard the familiar rumble of his car pulling into the driveway, your heart jumped into your throat. You hurried to the door, your hands trembling slightly as you opened it just in time to see him stepping out of the car, his bag slung over one shoulder. He looked tired but still so impossibly handsome, his broad shoulders and easy smile lighting up the fading daylight. The sight of him made you realise just how much you’d missed him.
“Hey, baby,” he called out, his voice warm and familiar, the sound washing over you like a balm.
You didn’t even wait for him to close the car door. You rushed down the porch steps and into his arms, wrapping yourself around him tightly. He dropped his bag to the ground, laughing softly as he pulled you close, burying his face in your hair.
“God, I missed you,” he murmured, his voice low and full of emotion. His arms tightened around you, one hand stroking your back as if to reassure himself you were really there.
“I missed you too,” you said, your voice muffled against his shoulder. You felt his lips press against your temple, soft and lingering, before he pulled back just enough to look at you.
“You’re even more beautiful than I remembered,” he said, his voice a little hoarse as his fingers brushed a strand of hair from your face.
You laughed lightly, your heart fluttering under the weight of his gaze. “You’re just exhausted,” you teased. “Come inside—I made your favourite.”
His eyes lit up, and he kissed your forehead before grabbing his bag. “You didn’t have to do all that,” he said, following you into the house. “But I’m not complaining.”
Inside, the warm, familiar scent of home surrounded you both. The table was set, soft music played from the speaker in the corner, and the faint glow of candles gave the room an inviting warmth. He paused to take it all in, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “You’ve outdone yourself,” he said, his voice tinged with gratitude.
You shrugged, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement bubbling in your chest. “You deserve it. It was a long shoot.”
“The longest,” He set his bag down and turned to you, his hands sliding around your waist as he pulled you close. His lips were warm and familiar, the kind of kiss that made the rest of the world fade away. You melted into him, your hands curling around the back of his neck, your fingers threading into his hair.
When you finally pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, his eyes half-lidded as he smiled softly. “I still can’t believe I’m home,” he murmured, his voice like a warm embrace. “Being away from you… I hated it.”
Your heart pounded as you smiled up at him, your hands resting on his chest. It was now or never. “We hated it too,” you said, your voice soft but deliberate.
His brow furrowed slightly, the words taking a moment to register. “We?” he repeated, tilting his head as he looked at you.
You bit your lip, a nervous laugh escaping as you stepped back and reached into your pocket. “We,” you echoed, holding up the pregnancy test.
The moment the test came into view, his eyes widened. He blinked, as if unsure whether he was seeing things correctly, before slowly reaching out to take it from your hand. He stared at the little screen, his breath catching audibly, before looking back at you.
“Are you…” he started, his voice trembling. “Are we…”
You nodded, tears springing to your eyes. “We’re having a baby,” you said, your voice breaking with emotion.
He stared at you for a beat longer, the weight of your words sinking in. Then, without warning, a brilliant smile broke across his face, and a shaky laugh escaped his lips. “Oh my god,” he breathed, running a hand through his hair. “This is real?”
“Yes,” you said, laughing through your tears. “It’s real.”
He let out a breathless laugh, dropping the test on the counter as he swept you into his arms. “I can’t believe it,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “We’re going to have a baby.”
You held onto him tightly, feeling the warmth of his embrace as his body trembled slightly. He buried his face in your neck, and you could feel the dampness of his tears against your skin. “I love you so much,” he whispered, his voice breaking. “You’ve just made me the happiest man in the world.”
“I love you too,” you said, pulling back just enough to look at him. His cheeks were wet with tears, his eyes bright with a mix of disbelief and joy.
“We’re going to be parents,” he said, his hands moving to frame your face as he pressed a kiss to your forehead, then your cheeks, then your lips. “This is everything I ever wanted.”
You laughed softly, sliding your hands into his hair as you kissed him back. “It’s everything I ever wanted too.”
For the rest of the evening, you stayed close to him, basking in the joy of the moment. Dinner was an afterthought; you spent most of the time on the couch, his arms wrapped securely around you as he asked a million questions about how you’d been feeling, how long you’d known, and what the next steps were.
As the night wore on, you felt a sense of calm settle over you. The secret you’d been carrying was now shared, and seeing Austin’s reaction had eased every worry you’d had. This was the beginning of something new, something beautiful, and you were ready to face it together.
*
The first ultrasound appointment marked the next big milestone, one that felt surreal even as you sat in the clinic waiting room. Austin had cleared his schedule the moment the date was confirmed, insisting that no rehearsal or meeting could be more important.
The two of you were seated side by side, his knee bouncing slightly as he held your hand. “You nervous?” you asked softly, glancing at him.
He looked at you with a small, sheepish smile. “A little. It’s just… we’re going to see them,” he said, his voice catching slightly. “I still can’t wrap my head around it.”
You gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “Me neither,” you admitted, your own nerves bubbling under the surface. “But it’s exciting too, right?”
“Exciting doesn’t even cover it,” he said, leaning over to kiss the top of your head.
When your name was called, Austin stood so quickly that he knocked over the magazine he’d been pretending to read. You giggled as he sheepishly bent to pick it up, his hand finding yours again as you walked together toward the exam room.
The technician greeted you warmly, explaining each step of the process as you got situated. Austin stood next to you, his hand never leaving yours, his eyes flicking between you and the screen with equal parts anticipation and awe.
When the image finally appeared on the monitor and the sound of the heartbeat filled the room, the air seemed to shift. It was a sound so steady, so alive, that it sent a shiver down your spine.
“That’s your baby,” the technician said with a kind smile, pointing to the tiny figure on the screen.
Austin let out a shaky breath, his grip on your hand tightening. “That’s… that’s them,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. His free hand came up to wipe at his eyes, and when he turned to look at you, his face was lit with a mix of wonder and joy. “That’s our baby,” he said, his voice cracking slightly.
You nodded, unable to speak past the lump in your throat. Instead, you squeezed his hand, letting your tears fall freely as you both stared at the screen, watching the tiny heartbeat that had changed everything.
That evening, as you sat curled up together on the couch, Austin couldn’t stop looking at the ultrasound photos. He held one up, studying it intently before glancing at you. “Okay, we need a nickname,” he announced suddenly.
You blinked, momentarily caught off guard. “A nickname?”
“Yeah,” he said, nodding firmly. “We can’t just keep saying ‘the baby.’ They need something special, something that fits.”
You tilted your head, considering his words. “Alright, Mr. Creative. What do you suggest?”
He grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Bean,” he said, holding up the photo again. “They’re tiny, they’re cute, and it just… feels right.”
You laughed, shaking your head but secretly loving the name. “Bean,” you repeated, testing it out. “Alright. Bean it is.”
From that night on, Bean became a part of your everyday vocabulary. Austin greeted your belly every morning with a soft “Good morning, Bean,” and every evening, he read stories or played music to your growing bump. His guitar, his piano, even his voice—all of it became a nightly ritual, his way of connecting with the little life you were creating together.
One evening, as you both lay on the couch watching a film, you felt it—a small but unmistakable flutter low in your belly. You froze, your hand instinctively pressing to the spot.
“What’s wrong?” Austin asked, immediately alert.
You grabbed his hand, your heart racing as you placed it where you’d felt the movement. “Just… wait,” you whispered.
A few seconds passed. Then it happened again—a tiny kick, soft but distinct. Austin’s eyes widened, his jaw dropping slightly. “Was that…” he started, his voice barely above a whisper. “Was that a kick?”
You nodded, tears springing to your eyes. “Yeah. That was them.”
He let out a breathless laugh, his hand pressing gently against your belly. “Hi, Bean,” he murmured, his voice filled with wonder. “It’s me. Your dad. I can’t wait to meet you.”
The kicks became more frequent after that, each one a little reminder of the life growing inside you. Austin couldn’t get enough of them, often resting his hand on your belly whenever he was near, his face lighting up every time he felt a movement.
When a brief press tour took him away for a few weeks, the separation was harder than either of you anticipated. But even from afar, he found ways to stay connected. Every night, without fail, he FaceTimed you, his guitar in hand as he sang softly or read aloud.
"It’s Dad," he’d say, his voice warm even through the screen." Just checking in to see how you’re doing.”
You’d laugh, your hand resting on your belly as you said, “I think they’re listening. They always move when they hear your voice.”
By the time he returned, you were both ready to tackle the next big project: the nursery. The two of you spent hours picking out decorations, arguing over paint colours, and laughing as you assembled tiny pieces of furniture.
“You know,” Austin said one evening as he struggled to attach a crib railing, “I’m starting to think Bean might just have to sleep in a cardboard box.”
You laughed, leaning against the doorframe as you watched him. “Don’t give up now. You’re doing great, Dad.”
He looked up at you, his expression softening as he smiled. “I still can’t believe this is happening,” he said, his voice quiet. “We’re going to be parents.”
You walked over, placing a hand on his shoulder. “We are,” you said softly. “And I think we’re going to be pretty good at it.”
As the nursery slowly came together, it became more than just a room—it was a symbol of the life you were building together. Every little detail, from the fairy lights strung along the ceiling to the shelves filled with tiny books, was a labour of love.
Standing together in the finished room, your hand resting on your belly and Austin’s arm around your shoulders, you felt a deep sense of peace. “It’s perfect,” you whispered, leaning into him.
He pressed a kiss to your temple, his other hand covering yours. “It’ll be even more perfect when Bean’s here,” he said, his voice filled with quiet wonder.
And in that moment, as you stood there dreaming about the future, you knew he was right.
*
Still, no amount of Austin’s sweetness could stop the physical toll of late pregnancy from getting to you. One evening, as you were getting ready for bed, you caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and stopped, groaning audibly.
“I feel huge,” you groaned, turning sideways to examine yourself. “I look like I swallowed a beach ball.”
From the bed, Austin looked up from his book, his gaze softening as he took you in. He set the book aside and got up, crossing the room to stand behind you. His hands slid around your waist—well, as much as they could with the bump in the way—and he rested his chin on your shoulder.
“You’re not huge,” he said, his tone playful as his eyes danced with mischief. “You’re radiant.”
You rolled your eyes, still frowning at the mirror. “Radiant? Austin, I look like a science experiment gone wrong. My ankles are swollen, my back is killing me, and I haven’t seen my feet in weeks.”
He smirked, pressing a kiss to your shoulder. “You’re carrying our baby,” he murmured, his hands dropping to cradle your bump. “That’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.”
You snorted. “Sexy? I’m wearing mismatched pyjamas and haven’t shaved my legs in days.”
He turned you gently to face him, his eyes twinkling with a mix of affection and mischief. “Still sexy,” he said, trailing kisses from your jaw to your collarbone. “And for the record, I don’t think Bean cares about your legs.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, the sound turning into a soft sigh as his hands moved to rub your lower back. “Fine,” you said, leaning into him. “You win this round.”
That wasn’t the only way Austin had been taking care of you. On nights when sleep felt impossible—when the baby seemed to think your bladder was a trampoline or your hips ached from the weight of it all—he’d do everything in his power to make you comfortable. One night, after watching you fidget and sigh for the fifth time in an hour, he rolled out of bed and disappeared into the bathroom. When he came back, steam followed him.
“Bath’s ready,” he announced, holding out his hand. “Come on.”
You let him guide you into the bathroom, the warm scent of lavender filling the air. The tub was filled just enough for you to soak without feeling like a beached whale. As you eased in, Austin climbed in behind you, his legs bracketing yours as his hands moved to rub your shoulders.
“You didn’t have to do all this,” you murmured, leaning back against his chest.
“Of course I did,” he said, his lips grazing the shell of your ear. “You’re growing a whole human. The least I can do is help you take a load off.”
“Besides, I like taking care of you,” he replied simply, his hands moving to your bump as he rested his chin on your shoulder.
As his hands traced soothing circles over your belly, the two of you fell into an easy conversation about names. It had become a favourite topic of late, though you hadn’t settled on anything yet.
“What about Lori?” you suggested softly, tilting your head back to look at him. “If it’s a girl.”
Austin stilled for a moment, his eyes glistening as he met your gaze. “After my mom?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
You nodded, your hand covering his where it rested on your bump. “She meant so much to you. And I know she’d be proud of you, of us. It feels right.”
His throat worked as he swallowed hard, clearly trying to keep his emotions in check. “I think she’d love that,” he said finally, his voice thick with emotion. “Thank you.”
The moment stretched between you, warm and tender, until Bean decided to interrupt with a particularly enthusiastic kick. You both froze before bursting into laughter.
“Guess they like the name,” Austin said, grinning as he pressed his palm against the spot where the baby had kicked. “Hey, Bean. You’ve got good taste.”
As the weeks passed, the anticipation grew, but so did the love and humour that kept you both grounded.
*
The due date came and went without so much as a twinge of labour pains. You’d counted down the days on your calendar, convinced that by now you’d be holding your baby, but Bean had other plans. The doctor reassured you that everything looked fine and that it was perfectly normal for first babies to take their time—though they did mention that if nothing happened in another two weeks, they’d induce labour.
It wasn’t exactly the news you wanted to hear, especially since patience wasn’t exactly your strong suit. “Two weeks?” you groaned on the drive home, slumped in the passenger seat. “That feels like a lifetime.”
Austin, ever the optimist, glanced over with a calm smile. “Hey, your mom said she always went past her due date with you and your brothers. Maybe Bean’s just taking after you.”
You gave a dramatic sigh, though his hand finding yours on the armrest softened your mood. “If that’s the case, Bean owes me a big apology for making me this uncomfortable.”
“I’ll make sure they’re on their best behaviour when they get here,” Austin said with a wink, bringing your hand to his lips for a kiss. “But for now, you’re stuck with me.”
As the days passed the news of your overdue baby had spread among your family and friends, and with it came an avalanche of unsolicited advice on how to speed things along. Your phone pinged with messages every few minutes, each suggestion more bizarre than the last.
“Your sister says I should try eating spicy food,” you told Austin one evening, scrolling through yet another message as you sat with your swollen feet propped up on the coffee table. “And my cousin swears by bouncing on a yoga ball.”
Austin, seated beside you with his guitar in hand, raised an eyebrow. “What about the one from your aunt? Didn’t she say something about pineapple?”
“Pineapple, acupuncture, castor oil... oh, and Claire suggested a long walk and warm baths.” You let out an exasperated sigh.
Austin chuckled, setting down his guitar and shifting closer. “Anything else?”
You hesitated, biting your lip as you scrolled through one particularly cheeky message. “Well, uh… Ashley had a suggestion that worked when she was pregnant with with Jupiter.”
“Oh, this should be good. What is it?” He grinned, giving you a playful nudge.
“She said… sex might help.” You glanced at him from under your lashes, feeling a blush creep up your neck. “Something about the hormones and stimulating labour.”
Austin’s grin turned downright devilish. “Now that’s advice I can get behind.”
You rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t help but smile at the way his hand slid to your belly, his thumb brushing slow, soothing circles. “It’s science,” you teased, leaning into his touch.
“Science, huh?” His voice dropped, the playful glint in his eyes turning into something softer. “Well, far be it from me to argue with science.”
Before you could reply, his lips were on yours—soft, warm, and filled with all the love and anticipation that had been building over the past nine months. He kissed you like you were the most precious thing in the world, and for a moment, you forgot all about your swollen ankles and aching back.
You melted into the kiss, your fingers curling into his shirt as his hand slid around your back, pulling you closer. The warmth of his touch, the way his lips moved with yours—it was enough to make you forget, if only for a little while, the discomfort and impatience of these last few days.
When he pulled back, just enough to rest his forehead against yours, his breath was warm against your lips. “You know,” he murmured, his voice a low hum, “I think science might be onto something.”
You laughed softly, the sound turning into a sigh as his hands traced gentle, soothing circles on your lower back. “You’re impossible,” you teased, though the fond smile on your face gave you away. “But fine. If you’re so dedicated to the cause, who am I to argue?”
His grin widened, and he leaned in to kiss you again, slower this time, his hands sliding to cradle your belly. “You and Bean,” he whispered, his voice thick with affection. “My whole world.”
Your heart swelled, and you reached up to cup his face, brushing your thumb along the curve of his cheek. “You’re not so bad yourself,” you replied, your voice soft and full of emotion.
For a while, the two of you stayed like that—wrapped up in each other, the world outside forgotten. The discomfort and impatience of waiting melted away in the warmth of his embrace, replaced by a sense of peace and quiet joy. In moments like this, it was easy to remember why you’d fallen in love with him in the first place: his unshakable optimism, his unwavering support, and the way he always managed to make you feel like the most important person in the room.
When you finally pulled away, your hands still resting on his shoulders, you couldn’t help but smile. “So, Mr Butler,” you said, your tone light but teasing, “what’s your next plan to convince Bean to make their grand entrance?”
He chuckled, his hands still cradling your belly. “Oh, I’ve got plenty of tricks up my sleeve,” he said with a wink. “But first, I think we should start with a good night’s sleep. You need your rest, mama.”
You rolled your eyes but allowed him to help you up from the couch, his hands steady and sure as he guided you toward the bedroom. As much as you hated to admit it, he was right—you needed all the rest you could get. After all, Bean could decide to arrive at any moment, and you wanted to be ready.
As he tucked you into bed, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, you couldn’t help but feel a flicker of hope. Maybe tonight would be the night. Or maybe not. Either way, you knew you were in good hands—with Austin by your side, there was nothing you couldn’t handle together.
It was the middle of the night, two days before your scheduled induction, when you woke up feeling... off. At first, you thought it was just another bout of pregnancy discomfort—the kind you’d grown used to over the past few weeks. You shifted in bed, trying to find a position that didn’t make your back ache, but something was different this time. A dull, rhythmic sensation began to spread from your lower back to your belly, each wave stronger and sharper than the last.
“Austin,” you whispered, reaching over to shake his shoulder gently. “I think…”
He stirred with a soft groan, his hair a dishevelled mess as he blinked up at you, still caught in the haze of sleep. “What’s wrong?” His voice was thick with concern. “You okay?”
You nodded, though your breath hitched as another wave rolled through you, stealing your focus for a moment. “I think it’s starting,” you managed, your voice trembling.
It took him a moment to process your words, but when it clicked, he shot out of bed like someone had lit a fire under him. “It’s happening?” he asked, his voice pitching higher. “Like… happening happening?”
You nodded again, gripping his hand as the contraction gripped you. “Definitely happening.”
His reaction was instant and chaotic, a blur of nervous energy as he darted around the room. “Okay, hospital bag—where’s the hospital bag? Car seat’s in, phone’s charged—oh, wait, I need to call the doctor—”
“Aus.” Your voice was steady despite the pain, a small smile tugging at your lips as you watched his frantic motions. “Breathe.”
He stopped mid-step, running a hand through his hair as he looked at you with a sheepish grin. “Right. Breathing. Got it.”
The contractions were coming steadily now, but still far enough apart that the doctor advised waiting at home a little longer before heading to the hospital. Austin stayed glued to your side, his energy shifting from panicked to determined as he settled into a rhythm of supporting you. Every contraction was met with his steady voice, his warm hands on your back, and the constant reassurance that you were doing amazing.
“You’re incredible,” he murmured, his tone low and soothing as he rubbed circles over your lower back during another wave. “I’m so proud of you.”
You leaned into him, his presence a grounding force as the hours stretched on and the contractions grew stronger. He timed each one with the kind of precision that would’ve been comical if you weren’t so focused on riding out the pain. At one point, you caught him muttering countdowns under his breath, and you couldn’t help but crack a small smile.
“Relax, Coach Butler,” you teased faintly when the contraction passed, your voice breathless but fond. “I’m not running a marathon.”
He grinned, pressing a kiss to your temple. “You’re doing something way more badass than that.”
When the time finally came to leave for the hospital, Austin was at your side in an instant, helping you into the car as though you were made of glass. “You know I’m not going to break, right?” you teased, though your voice hitched as another contraction tightened your belly.
His gaze softened, his hand brushing your cheek as he murmured, “You’re carrying my whole world. I’m not taking any chances.”
The drive to the hospital was a blur of flashing streetlights and the steady pressure of his hand holding yours. He murmured soft words of encouragement every time a contraction hit, his thumb rubbing soothing circles over your skin. The excitement and nerves hung in the air between you, tangible and electric, but through it all, his love and steady presence anchored you.
By the time you arrived, you were ready—ready to meet the little person who had turned your world upside down in the most wonderful way.
The hospital was a flurry of activity as soon as you arrived, the nurses greeting you warmly as they guided you to a room. Austin stayed glued to your side, his hand firmly in yours as they asked you questions and hooked you up to monitors. The rhythmic sound of Bean’s heartbeat filled the room, steady and strong, and it was enough to ease some of your nerves.
“You’re doing great,” Austin murmured, brushing a stray strand of hair from your forehead. His voice was calm, but you could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his jaw tightened every time you grimaced through a contraction.
Labour was a whirlwind—hours that felt both endless and fleeting, a blur of pain, anticipation, and the steady presence of Austin by your side. He held your hand through every contraction, his voice calm and reassuring as he reminded you to breathe, even when you were ready to throw the ice chips at him.
“Doing great, baby,” he said, his hand brushing damp hair from your forehead. “Almost there.”
You gave him a look that could’ve melted steel, the pain sharp and unrelenting. “You say that one more time…” you panted, gripping his hand hard enough to make him wince.
“Noted,” he replied with a lopsided grin, "I’ll file that under ‘things not to say to a woman in labour.’" Though he didn’t flinch as your grip tightened again with the next contraction.
Hours later, when the time finally came to push, everything else faded into the background. The world outside the room ceased to exist, and all you could focus on was the determination to meet the tiny person who had been growing inside you for the past nine months. Austin’s voice was a constant, grounding you when the pain threatened to overwhelm.
It was his strength, his unwavering presence, that carried you through the final moments. “You’re so close,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “I can see the head.”
With one final, all-consuming effort, a sharp cry filled the room, cutting through the haze of pain and exhaustion. The world seemed to stop for a moment as the doctor lifted a tiny, wriggling figure into view.
It’s a girl,” the doctor announced, their voice warm with joy as they placed her on your chest.
Time seemed to slow, her cries quieting the moment she felt your warmth. She was perfect—tiny fingers, a button nose, and a head full of fair hair that reminded you so much of Austin. Your heart swelled to the point of bursting as you traced her features with trembling fingers.
“Hi, Bean,” you whispered, tears spilling freely now. “Hi, baby girl.”
Austin leaned over, pressing a kiss to your temple as his hand rested gently on hers. You both sat there for a moment, the world fading away as you took in the miracle between you. It was Austin who broke the silence, his voice barely above a whisper. “Lori,” he said, his eyes meeting yours. “If you’re still okay with it… I think it’s perfect.”
You nodded, your voice too thick with emotion to speak. You glanced down at her, stroking her soft cheek. “Hi, Lori,” you whispered. “Welcome to the world.”
You looked up at him, your eyes meeting his. The love in his gaze was enough to undo you all over again. “She’s so tiny,” you said, your voice breaking. “And she’s ours.”
“She’s ours,” he echoed, his voice no more than a whisper.
The minutes that followed were a haze of firsts: the weight of her in your arms, her tiny hand curling instinctively around Austin’s finger, the soft, exhausted smiles you exchanged as the world outside the delivery room faded away.
When the nurse came to take Lori for her first check-up, Austin hesitated, his hand lingering protectively on her tiny head. “You’ll bring her right back, right?” he asked, his voice laced with both awe and worry.
The nurse smiled. “We won’t be far, Dad. She’s perfect, by the way.”
As Lori was carried out of the room, Austin sank into the chair beside your bed, his head falling into his hands. You reached for him, your fingers brushing his wrist. “Hey,” you said softly. “You okay?”
He looked up, his eyes red-rimmed but filled with a quiet, overwhelming joy. “I just… I can’t believe she’s here,” he said, his voice trembling. “She’s real. And she’s ours.”
You smiled, your own exhaustion forgotten as you reached for his hand. “She’s everything, isn’t she?”
He nodded, leaning in to kiss you, his lips lingering on yours for a moment that felt like it could stretch forever. “You’re the strongest person I know,” he murmured against your skin, his forehead resting against yours. “Thank you for her.”
You looked up at him, your chest tight with love and exhaustion. “We made her together,” you murmured, your fingers lacing with his. “She’s all of us.”
When they returned with Lori swaddled in a soft blanket, Austin reached out, his hands trembling slightly as he cradled her for the first time. The way he looked at her—his gaze full of wonder and tenderness—made your breath catch.
“Hey, sweetheart,” he murmured, his thumb brushing lightly over her tiny hand. “I’m your dad.”
You couldn’t look away. Seeing Austin holding Lori—his large hands supporting her tiny body as he murmured soft, loving words—solidified everything you’d been through together. It wasn’t just love; it was the kind of connection that grounded you, that made everything you’d ever dreamed of feel possible. This was your family, built on a foundation of unwavering devotion and joy.
“She looks so much like you already,” Austin said, glancing up at you with a watery smile. “Same little nose, same pout. She’s beautiful.”
“She already has you wrapped around her finger,” you teased softly, though your voice was thick with emotion.
Austin looked up, his expression unapologetic. “Completely,” he admitted with a small, wobbly smile. “She’s got me for life.”
The rest of the night passed in a blur of exhaustion and wonder. You eventually dozed off for a little while, but when you woke, the sight before you took your breath away: Austin was still cradling Lori in his arms, his head bent as he whispered to her.
“I can’t wait to show you the world,” he murmured, his voice low and full of promise. “We’re going to have so many adventures, baby girl.”
You blinked back tears as you watched him, the love in his voice resonating deeply within you. If you had any doubts before, they were gone now. This was everything you had ever wanted, everything you had dreamed of, and so much more.
Austin glanced up and caught your gaze, his lips curving into the softest smile. He came over, settling beside you on the bed, and placed Lori gently in your arms. Together, you stared down at her, drinking in every tiny detail as the weight of the moment settled over you. It was a beginning—a brand-new chapter, a fresh adventure. And you couldn’t wait to live it.

mystery monday (more phosphorescence fic) part 1 | part 2 <- follows directly after this
-
“No, come on, listen. You saw him on that call, you-- you must have noticed. He wasn't okay. How was he suddenly just... fine, just a few weeks later? It was like he'd-- he'd forgotten about me, Chim.”
“Look, Buck...” Chimney is looking at him kindly, and Buck hates it. Chim jokes and doesn't take him too seriously, that's what he does, that's what Buck's used to from his brother-in-law. But this isn't joking. This is just the... the not-taking-him-seriously part. “I know this has been a really tough situation for you...”
“It-It's not because he broke my heart, alright?” Buck says, suddenly angry, frustrated, getting to his feet. “It's not. There's something wrong with him. Can't-- Can't you just, talk to him? See for yourself?”
Chimney's gotten to his feet now, too. Maybe in an attempt to even the playing field, keep Buck from towering over him, not that standing up does him much good in that regard. Buck feels a little guilty, but he can't-- he can't sit down, can't sit still right now. He begins to make his way to the kitchen. Turns. “Wait, have you talked to him at all?”
Chim crosses his arms over his chest. “Honestly? Not really. We texted a few times, right after... you know.”
“He dumped me?” Buck says flatly, feet carrying him forward. He helps himself to a glass of water.
“Yeah.” Chim says hesitantly, trails after him into the kitchen. “That. So, not recently.”
Buck can feel the way he's being watched, resolutely doesn't turn to face him yet, takes a second to let this-- this irritation subside. If Chimney would just believe him, if he'd just understand--
“Okay,” Chimney says. “Yes, fine. If you think that will help, I'll... I'll give Tommy a call. Okay?”
“Yeah?” He turns now, takes a few steps closer, trying to gauge if Chimney actually believes him, or...
“Of course,” Chim replies. “That's what brothers are for, right?” He gives Buck a pat on his shoulder, as though trying to really lay the brother thing on thick. as if Buck won't notice he's still looking at him like he's someone to be concerned about as he does it.
..
So it doesn't surprise Buck when Maddie spontaneously drops by the firehouse the next day, because she just so happened to be in the area.
“Don't listen to her, she's here for me,” Buck says with a sigh, earning him a round of raised eyebrows from everyone but Chimney, who has his best (worst) poker face on. He had cornered Chimney earlier that morning to check if he'd talked to Tommy yet, but apparently Tommy hadn't answered because he was on shift, which is fine, though Buck knows Tommy is perfectly capable of picking up the phone when he's on shift as long as he isn't actively on a call. But. Whatever. Chimney will try again later, and until then... Buck is apparently being babysat.
“I'm here for all of you,” Maddie retorts before sing-songing, “I brought fancy coffees!”
“Maddie Han, you are an angel. You should ditch your lousy husband and run away with me,” Chimney croons, accepting the cup she offers him. Buck sticks to where he's leaning against the rig, waiting for his sister to finish her little charade so she can corner him and look at him with those-- those big brown worried eyes, and tell him she knows it's tough but isn't it time he thought about moving on? He'd shot his shot, he'd texted Tommy. If he hadn't responded, then, well...
He should take the hint.
Buck knows that. He just... can't. Not when something so very clearly isn't right.
Even if he's the only one who seems to notice.

Almost Hate | M Boldy
Tumblr media
Summary: a reconciliation with Matt wasn’t in the cards for you.
-
Boston College had been big enough that you and Matt could’ve easily avoided each other. But for some reason, the universe had other plans.
From the moment you met, there was something off between you. No real reason, no dramatic backstory—just a constant, simmering tension that neither of you could shake.
Maybe it was the way he always seemed to have some cocky remark ready when you walked into a room. Or the way you refused to laugh at his jokes, even when they were actually funny. Whatever it was, it had followed you through four years of college, through mutual friends and shared parties, through stolen glares across campus.
And then, after graduation, life happened. You moved on. He moved on. That part of your life was over.
Or so you thought.
Minnesota was never the plan. But when a job offer came, one too good to pass up, you packed your life into a couple of suitcases and made the move.
You had been here for a few months now, slowly settling in, figuring out the rhythm of a new city. Which is how you ended up at a bar downtown on a Friday night, sipping your drink and regretting not leaving earlier.
Because the guy standing next to you? The one who had been trying way too hard for the last ten minutes? Yeah, he wasn’t getting the hint.
“Come on,” he says, leaning in just a little too close. “One more drink.”
“I’m good, thanks,” you reply, shifting back.
“You sure? Because—”
“She said she’s good, man.”
The voice is familiar. You turn your head and—of course, Matt Boldy is standing there, hands in his pockets, looking at the guy like he’s debating whether or not to shove him away from you.
The guy scoffs but mutters something under his breath before finally walking off.
You exhale, turning to face Matt fully. “Boldy.”
His lips twitch. “Still calling me that, huh?”
You roll your eyes. “What are you even doing here?”
He shrugs. “Live here. Play hockey here. What about you?”
“Same. Minus the hockey part.”
His gaze lingers on you for a moment, like he’s piecing something together. “Didn’t think I’d see you again.”
“Yeah, well. Life’s funny like that.”
The tension between you is still there, but it’s different now. Less sharp edges, more… curiosity.
He clears his throat. “Let me walk you home.”
You raise a brow. “Excuse me?”
“Just—” He shifts his weight, looking a little unsure for the first time ever. “It’s late. And that guy might still be around. Just let me make sure you get home safe.”
You hesitate, but the sincerity in his voice makes you nod. “Alright, fine.”
The walk to your apartment is quieter than you expect. The city hums around you, streetlights casting long shadows, and Matt walks a step closer than necessary, like he’s making sure no one gets too close.
It’s nice.
Weird. But nice.
When you reach your building, you turn to him, crossing your arms. “So. You save me from a creep and walk me home. What’s next? We pretend we don’t know each other for another five years?”
A smirk tugs at his lips. “Actually… I was thinking I’d ask you out.”
You blink. “What?”
He scratches the back of his neck, suddenly looking almost—shy? “Look, I know we had that whole ‘hate’ thing going on in college, but I don’t think I actually hated you.”
You narrow your eyes. “You don’t think?”
He chuckles. “I know I didn’t. I just—” He exhales, meeting your gaze. “I don’t know what it was, but it wasn’t hate. And now that we’re here, and I’m walking you home, and you’re still you, and I still… notice you—” He shakes his head. “I don’t want to waste time pretending anymore.”
Your heart stumbles over itself, but you keep your expression neutral. “So what are you saying?”
“I’m saying—” He steps closer, eyes flicking to your lips before locking back on yours. “Let me take you out. No tension, no bullshit. Just you and me.”
The old part of you—the part that remembers all the snarky remarks and stolen glares—wants to push back, to challenge him, to keep whatever this is at arm’s length.
But the new part of you? The one that sees the way he’s looking at you right now?
That part says, Why not?
So you tilt your head, smirking just a little. “Fine. But if you annoy me, I’m leaving.”
He grins. “Fair deal.”

♡♥︎ Ellie with a quiet and nervous girl ♥︎♡

♥︎ Ellie is the type to give you gentle reassurance when you’re feeling nervous, her hand always reaching out to yours in quiet comfort. She knows what it’s like to feel uneasy, and she makes sure you know you’re not alone in that.
♥︎ When you’re anxious around a group of people, Ellie stays close, her presence a calming anchor. Her fingers brush against your back or thigh in little gestures, her way of silently letting you know she’s there for you.
♥︎ She loves to make you laugh, even if it’s with her terrible jokes or pulling silly faces. Seeing you smile, even in the smallest way, is something she treasures.
♥︎ At night, Ellie will hold you in her arms, her chest against your back, her steady breath helping you to fall asleep. She knows how hard it is for you to shut off your mind, so she does everything to make you feel safe.
♥︎ Ellie doesn’t pressure you to speak when you’re not ready, but she’ll softly ask, “Hey, are you okay?” Her tone is always understanding, and she waits patiently for you to open up when you’re ready.
♥︎ She’s always paying attention to how you’re feeling, even if it’s subtle. She’ll notice the way your hands tremble when you’re stressed or the way you pull your hoodie tighter around yourself
♥︎ Ellie always finds small ways to make you feel seen, like writing you little notes on scraps of paper with sweet messages or leaving flowers she’s found outside on your pillow.
♥︎ You two share quiet mornings, drinking coffee in silence while Ellie plays guitar. She never forces conversation, but sometimes, she’ll hum a tune or sing softly to you just to fill the silence with something peaceful.
♥︎ Ellie loves to cuddle, but she’ll always make sure you’re comfortable first. If you need space, she’ll give it to you, but if you need her close, she’s right there, pulling you into her warmth.
♥︎ Ellie doesn’t try to “fix” you. She understands that your nervousness is just a part of who you are, and she’s okay with it. It doesn’t make you any less worthy of love in her eyes.
♥︎ When you’re nervous about something—whether it’s a big test or an event—Ellie’s there beside you, quietly supporting you. She never makes a fuss about it, but she’ll drop a “You’ve got this” when you need it.
♥︎ If you ever start to feel overwhelmed, Ellie won’t hesitate to take you away from the situation. Whether it’s a walk in the woods or just sitting in a quiet corner, she’ll find a way to help you breathe
♥︎ Sometimes, when you get really anxious, Ellie will pull out her music playlist and play calming tunes. She knows it helps soothe your nerves, and she’ll do whatever she can to help you calm down.
♥︎ You’ve caught Ellie staring at you while you’re doing something small, like reading a book or organizing your things. It’s like she’s watching a part of you that she cherishes.
♥︎ Ellie always notices when you’re feeling too much, and when she can, she’ll try to distract you with something silly—maybe a new game or a prank to lighten the mood.
♥︎ There are days when Ellie knows you’ll need her more than others, and those are the days she’s extra sweet, offering a cup of hot chocolate, rubbing your back, or just listening without judgment.
♥︎ When you get caught in your head, Ellie is always there with a soft, “Hey, look at me,” and when you do, she gives you a gentle smile that reminds you it’s okay to slow down.
♥︎ She loves that you’re quiet and thoughtful. It’s a balance to her more impulsive, sometimes loud nature. Ellie doesn’t always need loudness; sometimes, your calm is exactly what she needs.
♥︎ Ellie’s very protective of you, but in a quiet way. She’ll notice when people make you uncomfortable and subtly shift you out of harm’s way, keeping her cool, but always making sure you’re safe.
♥︎ Ellie’s a master at reading your body language—she’ll know when you’re tense before you do, and she’ll always adjust her approach to make you feel at ease, whether it’s talking less or holding you tighter.
♥︎ On the rare days when you’re feeling brave, Ellie encourages you, giving you the smallest boosts of confidence. Her gentle compliments make you feel like maybe you can take on the world.
♥︎ You share little moments where silence speaks louder than words. Ellie understands that sometimes, there’s nothing that needs to be said. She’ll simply hold your hand and sit with you.
♥︎ Ellie doesn’t mind your quiet nature. In fact, she loves it. It’s one of the things that drew her to you, the way you listen so intently and care so deeply
♥︎ If you ever become overwhelmed during an outing, Ellie will be the first to suggest heading home early, knowing it’s better to leave before you get too anxious. She’d never want to push you past your limit.
♥︎ Sometimes, when you’re feeling a little braver, Ellie will make little challenges for you—like walking into a store together or talking to someone for a minute. She’s proud of how hard you work to step outside your comfort zone.
♥︎ Ellie’s the kind of person who takes your nerves seriously. She doesn’t brush them off as “just anxiety” but acknowledges how real they are, always responding with love and care.
♥︎ She loves how you get nervous about the little things, like asking her to hang out with you or talking to new people. It’s cute, and it makes her feel like she gets to be your safe space.
♥︎ Ellie never rushes you. She’s never in a hurry for you to “get over it.” Her patience is constant, and she knows that your feelings deserve time and care to work through.
♥︎ Ellie knows you trust her with your vulnerability, and she cherishes that. There’s nothing more meaningful to her than the way you let her in, even in your quiet, nervous moments.
♥︎ You and Ellie share a sense of calm that comes with knowing you’re both each other’s safe haven. When you’re together, everything just feels a little easier to handle, even when life gets overwhelming.
♥︎ Every time you show Ellie your soft side, she falls a little more in love with you. She thinks you’re stronger than you give yourself credit for, and she loves you exactly as you are.

(a/n) NOT PROOFREAD YET GUYS <3 i love kang no-eul sm someone hold me down
Tumblr media
the morning sun kissed your skin, tracing the curves and contours of your form with golden light. you were seated in your usual spot beside your dearest friends, talking about nothing and everything at the same time.
you had always been the center of attention.
your eyes would flitter around the small crowd that formed around you, lashes fluttering as you drank in the latest whispers of gossip, covering your face and snickering at the joke one of the guys had pulled.
yet, despite the adoration everybody had towards you, despite the countless amount of praise you get, your mind would always wander off, your brain gets fuzzy, your friends chatter around you blurred into white noise.
your eyes would always find her.
kang no-eul.
no-eul was nothing short of the quiet, reserved kid. the girl who lived in the awkward spaces between conversations, she kept to her self, but she still managed to be kind to everybody— even though her kindness wasn't really repaid, all the while keeping her guard up.
your friends weren't too fond of her. they were nicer than most people no-eul had encounter but they'd glare at you then narrow their gaze to no-eul every time you greeted her in the morning. —
"morning, no-eul!" you beamed, your eyes crinkled with amusement at the sight of the disheveled, tired girl frozen in the doorway.
no-eul stood there, stunned. as if she couldn’t quite believe that greeting was meant for her. the tips of her ears flushed a deep crimson, she croaked a weak 'hi' at you, before shuffling to her seat.
"since when were you close to kang no-eul?" one of your friends pressed, curiosity gleaming in their eyes. you just shot her a knowing smile and shrugged.
your friend wasn’t satisfied. they leaned in, lowering their voice as if sharing some great secret. "i don’t know… she’s odd." —
you never hesitated to scold your friends when they were unkind to others, but the girls outside your friend group were a whole different story.
no-eul would pass by you in the hallways, her eyes glued to the ground in shame whenever she saw them trailing behind you.
in class, those said girls would answer the teacher’s questions before no-eul could even part her lips.
one day, during passing period, you finally witnessed firsthand just how cruel those girls could be. —
you stepped into the bathroom just as the group of girls swept out, their laughter still echoing against the tiles. you beelined to the only stall in the bathroom that was occupied.
the last bathroom booth door swung open. she flinched at the looming shadow cast over her. but when she lifted her eyes, she found no cruelty there—only worry, raw and unguarded.
"no-eul!" your voice cracked as you dropped to your knees right in front of her, the feeling of your kneecaps hitting the cold tiles sent a jolt throughout your body.
your hands fumbled or the nearest roll of toilet paper. "who did this to you..?"
your fingers worked in frantic desperation, dabbing at her soaked uniform, her cold cheeks, as if wiping away the water could erase the hurt. but her silence, her downcast eyes, told you everything.
no-eul just sat there, perched atop the closed toilet lid without a word, head hung low in shame, her hands curled into fists on her lap. —
there was always something about her that drew you in, you've always asked yourself why.
was it because you both were total polar opposites?
was it the way her soft, raven hair that barely kissed the nape of her neck, dancing in the cold breeze of the morning air made your heart leap?
maybe it's how her pretty chapped lips pursed in concentration and her gaze half-lidded as she lost herself in thought?
the way she would wear a lopsided smirk, showing off her toothy grin whenever your history teacher made a dumb joke?
she'd always sit exactly right behind you, her presence a quiet shadow, her best friend gyeong-seok right next to her. but he was more intrigued by the pages in between his sketchbook rather than his desperate, lovesick friend. —
the school bell rang, signaling that it was time for lunch break. no-eul practically stumbled out of her desk, her grip firm on gyeong-seok as she practically dragged the artist to the school's rooftop.
that’s where she told him.
"you're in love with who..?"
she confessed in fragments, recounting everything she felt towards you—how she's felt this feeling deep down ever since high-school started, how she caught herself staring too long, how her pulse raced whenever she was assigned to work with you, how she found herself doing things she would never do for anyone else.
she basically moped all day after venting to the artist, complaining how you were 'too out of her league' and 'wouldn't notice someone like her'.
boy, was she wrong.
no-eul was nothing like you. even though she had always stayed true to her feelings, she was physically and emotionally unable to express them—the words always caught in her throat, weighed down by hesitation.
so instead, she expressed them in quieter ways—subtle, almost imperceptible. a lingering glance. a touch that lasted a second too long. a presence that was always near, even if she never said why. —
the first semester of junior year had been hard on you, you felt like your mind was going in circles with all of the schoolwork you had piled up, frustration clawing at the edges of your patience.
no-eul noticed your harsh scowl, you tried to make sense of the question on the physics paper, your pen skated through the parchment in desperate, nonsensical attempts at answers. your brows knit together, as the gears in your head try to turn.
a thought brewed in no-eul's mind. she wasn’t one to offer help freely—usually. she’d toss her notes to whoever asked, letting them fend for themselves.. but something urged her to actually teach you.
you were deep in thought, your hands gripped the strands of your hair when a sharp screech of metal against tile jolted you from your trance, no-eul's chair dragged right next to you.
your eyes slowly turned to the tall figure standing next to you, her desk chair was still held close to her, "no-eul?"
"i- uh.. sorry, i should've asked first.. do you need any help?" she stuttered, setting her chair right beside you, its impact made a loud scraping noise that made her squeeze her eyes in grimace.
your heart swelled at her pathetic attempt on trying to assist you. you nodded eagerly with a smile at the offer, from then on, whenever you're struggling with any subjects, no-eul would be there to help.
you'd purposely get some questions wrong, ask questions you already know the answer to, just to feel her fingertips accidentally brush against yours as she guided you toward the right answer. —
unlike no-eul, the moment you realized your feelings—when the pieces clicked into place and the weight of your affection settled in your chest—you didn’t shy away. you didn’t overthink or hesitate. instead, you showed your interest by acting on it.
"no-eul-ah! the school's anniversary festival is coming up soon, do you want to spend the day together?" you asked, hope gleamed in your eyes as you gripped the edge of her desk, leaning towards her.
safe to say, no-eul short circuited at the question, her brain stalled, staring at you for what seems like eternity in disbelief. how could you.. always oh so effortlessly charming, a beacon of warmth in a wave of ordinary—asked her, of all people?
the classroom fell into silence. your friend group, along with a few curious classmates, had already turned their full attention to the unfolding scene, watching with barely concealed interest.
no-eul's stomach twisted. was this okay? was this safe? would this—whatever this was—somehow taint your untouchable reputation?
you batted your lashes in anticipation, when it took her a second longer to respond, you started chewing on your lip. maybe you had just embarrass yourself..
"oh, um, it's okay.. i'll let you think about it..!" you smiled weakly, fidgeting with the edge of your manicured nails, your eyes glued to the floor tiles as you turned on your heel, retreating back to your seat.
no-eul grasped your forearm, pulling you back. firm yet hesitant. afraid that the opportunity to get to know you better would slip away.
"wait." her voice was low and breathy. enough to make your heart stutter. "i want to go to the festival with you."
"i would.. love to go to the festival with you." —
no-eul had only ever dreamed of being so close to you.
you, ever the social butterfly, were always surrounded by friends, laughter, and effortless conversation. no-eul never had the chance to truly talk to you—not in a way that mattered. not in a way where it was just the two of you, without the noise, without the watching eyes.
so when the festival finally came, you were hand in hand with a very nervous kang no-eul, strolling through the vibrant bazaar.
the air buzzed with laughter and excitement, the stalls adorned with patterned tarps, fluttering banners, and balloons swaying gently in the breeze.
as you both enjoyed each others company, you were reminded that you are well-known among the other classes aswell, and lingering stares followed you both. whispers of curiosity hung in the air, no doubt intrigued by the unexpected sight of such an unlikely pair.
no-eul was definitely self-conscious about herself, constantly checking in on you, asking if you were alright—if you were comfortable. it was in her nature to worry, to overthink, especially in unfamiliar environments like this. she would usually either stay back at home at free days like this or visit the local library with gyeong-seok, but she couldn't pass up the opportunity to go on a cute date with her painfully cliché high-school crush!
you opted for cute snacks the sophomores were selling as a way to fund their upcoming field-trip. you gushed to no-eul how much you missed doing fundraisers like that last year, reminiscing about the chaos of baking sales and last-minute poster-making as you both share a cookie bomb sundae.
no-eul was more of a listener rather than a talker, she loved how excited you get talking about the things you adored. conversation ran smoothly between you two the initial awkwardness melting away like the last remnants of your shared sundae now that the ice is slowly breaking. —
"no-eul, look! carnival games!" you squealed, excitement bubbling over as you rushed over the lively, red-and-white circus tent that the seniors were running.
it was a shooting game—aim at the center of the moving rubber ducky four times, and you win a giant plushie.
you gawked at the periwinkle-purple bunny that hung high above the stand, its oversized, glittery eyes practically begging you to take it home.
"i'll try!" you smiled at the attendee. determination settling in.
"what?" no-eul blinked, watching you slap a wad of money on the counter.
a basketful of paintball ammo was slid towards you, 8 chances.
you gulped at the sight of the paintball gun, suddenly feeling the weight of reality settle on your shoulders. you had never handled one before.
"gosh, i'm going to embarrass myself!" you whined, fumbling while filling in the gun with ammo.
no-eul stayed silent, her expression unreadable— before she gave you a reassuring smile before tucking a strand of your hair that covered your vision back.
"stay focused, yeah?"
your breath hitched, your cheeks were tinted with the softest shade of pink, your heart felt warm at the sudden touch. you nodded at her, your eyes still bore onto her espresso-brown ones before turning your gaze back at the rapidly moving ducks.
1.. missed.
2.. missed again.
3.. another one?
4.. okay you were bad at this.
you turned back to no-eul with an awkward, shy smile. ready for her to laugh at you like your friends would usually do when you mess up these silly little games.
but no.
"may i?" no-eul’s voice was gentle, yet firm. she gently removed the paintball gun from your hands without a word, letting herself handle it and get into position.
4 paintballs left.
1.. hit
2.. another hit.
3.. bullseye.
4..
..you walked off the stand, grinning from ear to ear at your new periwinkle bunny best friend clutched tightly to your chest.
as you both wandered through the festival, your excitement was impossible to contain. no-eul could feel your gaze on her, the way you kept glancing up at her with starry eyes, your voice bubbling over with giddy little' thank you''s to her, satisfied with your prize.
"yeah, yeah, you're cute. just stop smiling at me like that." she teased, a weak, dumb smirk plastered across her face.
"where did you learn to shoot like that?" you queried her innocently, only squeezing her arm tighter.
"..that's a story for another day." no-eul glanced at you, her smirk widening ever so slightly, a flicker of pride in her eyes—pleased that she was the reason behind your bright smile.
you both ended the day in front of the outdoor stage, the sun melting into the horizon, painting the sky in hues of gold and indigo. principal young-il announced today's successful fundraiser, where the sophomore kids had raised enough money to fund their long-awaited school field-trip. ending the day with celebratory fireworks.
"i.. really liked spending time with you today." no-eul admitted, the tip of her freckled nose twitch in the cold air. a small, playful smile played on her lips.
your heart swole at the confession. this might've been the most fun you've had since forever. "you did?" you asked, your voice soft, almost hesitant—like you didn’t want to startle the moment away.
no-eul just smiled at you, her eyes half-lidded. a raw, pure emotion hid underneath her tired eyes. "i just wish we could.. spend time with each other more, like this."
"hmm." you hummed in agreement, relishing the warmth of the night despite the cool breeze, "well.. why don't we?"
the first firework bloomed in a burst of gold. the glow illuminated her features—her sharp yet delicate eyes, the faint dusting of freckles across her nose, the barely-there flush creeping up her cheeks.
"would you like.. to?.." the short-haired girl asked shyly, earning an airy giggle from you.
"of course, no-eul." you cooed, turning your body to face her. "i would love to spend time with you and get to know you."
no-eul mimicked your movements, turning her full body towards you. her eyebrows furrowed, her lips curled into a familiar frown— worry plastered across her face.
you gently took her hands in yours, fingertips grazing against her palm in a quiet reassurance. "i know what you're thinking.. i don't care what my friends think, what other people think. what i think.. is that if they got to know you better.. they'll understand while i like you."
a second firework erupted, however it was not the one that lit up the evening sky, it was one close to no-eul's heart. she adored how you could understand her so quickly, how you could make all her worries disappear in a second.
no-eul brought up your intertwined hands to her face, soothing herself with your touch before planting a sweet kiss on top of your knuckles.
"thank you.. for understanding me."
you hummed in response, a small exhale escaping your lips. you tilted your head up to the sky, the fireworks reflected in your eyes, shimmering like tiny nebulas, and no-eul couldn’t help but stare.
the noise of the festival seemed distant now, fading into a blur of laughter and chatter. here, in this fleeting moment, it was just the two of you.
you felt something unspoken between the two of you, words teetering in the tip of your tongue that needed to be put out, but you both decided to let the silence speak for itself.
because no-eul was here, with you.
and that's all you needed.

Aftercare
She loves when you give her aftercare, complimenting and praising her on how good she was. It makes her feel extra special. She does try to give aftercare but she's not as good at it as you
Body part
She adores your fingers. The way they caress her body, the way they can give her such pleasure
You love her face, its amazing to look at and sit on
Cum
She can cum alot and when she does she becomes VERY vocal about it.
When you cum she always licks it all up, wanting to savor your taste as long as she can
Dirty Secret
During her first time with a woman, she was embarrassed by how inexperienced she was so she tried to bury her face into the pillows to hide her moans but instead they became louder whimpers instead. She thinks about that alot
Experience
Obviously she's no stranger to sex but she is very inexperienced in sex with women so you end up teaching her a few new things
Favourite nicknames
She loves being called mama and when things get more intense she sometimes likes being called mistress.
For you, she uses a wide range of nicknames but she always adds 'my' to them just for a little reminder of who you belong to
Goofy
I dont think she'd be one to make jokes while the two of you are being intimate, she would maybe make a joke or two during foreplay though
Hate
I think she would be one to indulge in hate sex (but only as roleplay), often. with you saying things like, "oh you're such a bitch" And her replying with, "i don't hear you telling me stop."
Intimacy
She always tries to be as intimate and passionate as she can, wanting to make you feel about her the same way she feels about you (you do but she second guesses herself)
She somehow even manages to make quickies feel intimate and romantic
Jack Off
Ok im just gonna say it―i think she masturbates ALOT. You make her very horny and who is she not to indulge when she can't have you to take care of her ?
Kink
1000% has a praise kink. She loves loves loves being praised (it makes her feel validated)
I think she would also like trying orgasm control, hear me out, because she sees it as a challenge. She often finds it really hard not to cum so she enjoys the thrill it gives her
Location
She prefers the bedroom because it feels more personal but she's down for doing it almost anywhere as long as its not too public
Motivation
She's always horny for you. Wearing something revealing ? She's horny. You casually praise her for something ? She's horny. You compliment her ? She's horny. Honestly just seeing you turns her on so ...
NO
I don't think there would be much that she's opposed to and if you say a new thing she'll be down to try it, if she doesn't like it she will tell you
Oral
It would take her a while to get comfortable with giving oral since she's not used to it but once she is OMG is she amazing at it !!! Girlie knows how to work that tongue
She loves receiving oral cause she is always amazed by how incredible your tongue makes her feel
Pace
She likes to start slow, savoring the moment, but once she gets going its FAST. She's being pounded at brutal paces and she loves it
Quickie
Like I've said she prefers to be intimate to savour the moment but if she really needs it she'll give tou a certain look of longing that makes you understand exactly what she's asking
Risk
Risk is thrilling to her. Leaving a door open so someone could walk in ? She's down, loves it. It adds an element of suspence into her life and the thought of getting caught turns her on massively
Stamina
Mama has crazy stamina ! She can go round after round for hours on end, she'll keep going until you're tired or want to stop
Toys
I can imagine she has a drawer full of toys. Vibrators, straps, clamps and everything else you could think of
Unfair
She can be unfair at times, focusing more on her pleasure than yours but once she realises she's been onky focusing on herself she feels bad and does everything she can to make you feel just as good as she does
Volume
LOUD. SOUND-BARRIER-BREAKINGLY LOUD
Wild Card
She likes people to think she's a dom but she's really a power bottom
eXtreme
As she becomes more familiar with being with women, she does like to experiment with some things that are more on the extreme side
Yearning
She definitely has an intense desire for you, she always wants you, even when ita not for sex, but just to be in your presence
ZZZ
Normally, she'll wait for you to fall asleep and then she'll let herself wind down. She has a routine concerning her hair and makeup both morning and night that she needs to stick to so she waits for you to be comfortable before completing her routine and relaxing herself

Love at First Sight (According to Nagumo, Anyway) Part 2
Tumblr media
I honestly didn't think this story would be as popular as it was. Here is part two. I love this man! Requests are open for him!
The bell above the door jingled as you stepped into Sakamoto’s convenience store for the second night in a row. The fluorescent lights buzzed softly, casting a dim glow over the aisles of instant noodles and neatly stacked snack packs. It was late, you were exhausted, and the only thing keeping you upright was the promise of caffeine.
What you didn’t expect was the man waiting for you like a lovesick puppy.
Nagumo was already there—this time perched cross-legged on the counter, juggling a few snack packs with the effortless grace of someone who had far too much energy for this hour. The motion was fluid, almost mesmerizing, but it all came to a screeching halt the moment he caught sight of you.
His entire face lit up like a firework.
“She’s back,” he breathed, voice dripping with awe, as if your mere presence had turned his world right-side up again. All at once, he lost control of his juggling act, snacks tumbling to the floor and rolling away unnoticed. In one smooth motion, he leapt off the counter, landing in front of you with the practiced ease of a man who had spent his life making grand entrances.
You blinked at him, unimpressed. “...Do I know you?”
Nagumo froze mid-smirk.
Behind him, Sakamoto let out a long-suffering sigh from his place behind the register, his expression screaming, why is this my life?
Nagumo, however, looked as if you had just physically struck him. His hand clutched his chest dramatically, eyes wide with betrayal. “You—” He pointed at himself. “Don’t remember me?”
Your gaze flickered over him. Messy hair, smug yet strangely charming grin, an energy that radiated mischief and unwavering confidence—none of it rang a bell. “No?”
Nagumo staggered back, gripping the counter for support as if he had taken a mortal wound. “No?” he echoed in disbelief.
Sakamoto rubbed his temples, not even bothering to look up. “She was exhausted last time. You probably didn’t leave much of an impression.”
Nagumo gasped, turning on him like he’d just been betrayed a second time. “How could I not leave an impression?!”
Sakamoto shrugged, utterly indifferent.
Nagumo turned back to you, determination blazing in his sharp eyes. “Okay, okay. Let’s fix this.” He smoothed out his jacket, took a deep breath, and then flashed you the most dazzling smile he could muster. It was the kind of smile that could sell you anything, the kind that dripped with charm and dangerous intent all at once.
“I’m Nagumo. Master of disguise, incredibly skilled assassin, and—most importantly—your future husband.”
You stared at him, then glanced at Sakamoto for confirmation. “He’s joking, right?”
Sakamoto didn’t even glance up. “I wish.”
Nagumo pouted, but there was an eager glint in his eyes, as if he found your skepticism utterly endearing. “Come on, don’t look at me like that. We had a moment yesterday.”
You squinted. “When?”
“When you spoke to me,” he said, as if that explained everything. “That word made me fall in love with you even more.”
“…Move?”
Nagumo sighed dreamily. “She said it again. My heart cannot take it.”
You exhaled sharply and stepped past him toward the fridge, your patience already wearing thin. “Listen, I’ve had a long day, I’m tired, and I just want my coffee. I can’t… I don’t… I want nothing to do with this.” You scrubbed your eyes tiredly. Maybe it wasn’t them; maybe you were hallucinating. That would make more sense than this…
Nagumo followed, utterly undeterred. “I can make your days better, you know. Imagine this: you wake up, and I’m already making breakfast—probably something impressive, like a perfect omelet. Followed by a back massage. Then, we go on a date. Maybe just the park. Maybe Paris. I’m flexible. I am very flexible, if you know what I mean.” His eyes wiggled frantically in front of your face.
You grabbed a can of coffee and shut the fridge door in his face.
“Not interested in you or how flexible you are.”
Nagumo gasped, reeling back as if you had just delivered a killing blow. He turned to Sakamoto, devastated. “She rejected me again.”
Sakamoto, unbothered, continued ringing up your drink. “You’re surprised? You’re being a creep.”
Nagumo turned back to you, his expression shifting from mock devastation to something more resolute. His amber eyes softened, but the mischief never fully left them. “That’s okay. I love a challenge.”
You groaned, trudging toward the register. “This is harassment.”
Nagumo grinned, trailing after you. “It’s romance.”
Sakamoto sighed, tapping the loudly beeping register. “Please stop encouraging him. ”
Nagumo placed a hand over his heart as if making a solemn vow. “I am but a humble man in love, Sakamoto. I will make her see how I am her perfect husband.”
You paid, took your drink, and turned toward the exit. “I’m leaving now.”
Nagumo leaned against the counter, watching you go with the kind of expression that belonged in a dramatic romance film. “See you tomorrow, my dear. I’ll be waiting! Your devoted husband-to-be…”
You didn’t even dignify that with a response.
The moment the door shut behind you, Nagumo exhaled sharply, slumping onto the counter. His fingers curled into his jacket as he stared at the door with an expression of pure longing.
“Man, she’s perfect.”
Sakamoto gave him a flat look. “You’re a disaster.”
Nagumo grinned, undeterred. “A romantic disaster.”
Outside, you cracked open the ice-cold coffee. “I gotta find a new convenience store. This one is full of weirdos. Assassin my ass.”
