I love love love when there are two characters who have nothing in common except their shared undying devotion to a different character. Working together not because they care about each other but because they both care about this other character SO MUCH. Relationship defined by intense devotion but not to each other. It's sooooo tasty give me one million versions of this please.

#esp. cause like.#the devotion can be any flavor. it can be friendship it can be romantic it can be familial it can be a secret weirder thing #and the relationship between the two other characters can go in so many different directions.#maybe they stay hostile even as they have to work together. maybe they develop a grudging respect for each other.#maybe they *don't* repect each other and are totally neutral but are able to work together anyway.#maybe over time they develop a secret secondary devotion to each other. maybe they kiss about it.#anthyding could hadplen.#it's all good.#and it's especially good if they're Weird about it.#anyway is this one reason i've been going so feral about Time Is Out Of Joint doc & lorraine?#ABSOLUTELY.
