Think I might fuck around and edit the always sunny Wikipedia page for grammar because there’s a criminally long run on sentence in the lead section
#74 word sentence! please for the love of god let my brain take a break!#i don’t care HOW many commas you use there is NO reason for a sentence to be longer than 40-50 words#in a semi-professional context at least…#i suppose it could be considered an unpopular opinion cuz some of the ‘best writers of all time’ have multiple page long sentences#but guess what? I hate that and I don’t think it’s genius and so intellectual to barrage and overwhelm your reader with a lack of periods#maybe it’s cuz I had this shit trained out of me with the ruthless feedback I would get on my sentence structures in college essays#one of my soc profs had a strict No 40+ Word Sentences rule and i hated her for it at the time but now I understand everything.
