Bulbul with Palestinian Flag

When I asked my friend about birds from his home the first thing that came to mind for him was the bulbul.

This little guy is the white-spectacled bulbul, a medium-sized passerine described as "conspicuous and noisy". They're common around Palestine, my friend has many fond memories of them. I have just added this drawing of one holding a Palestinian flag to my shop.

As usual ALL PROCEEDS from this design will go to my Palestinian best friend to help him afford to bring his girlfriend over to America and to help his other loved ones around the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. You can find the design here printed on a lot of different products.

Also funny story when I first looked up bulbuls my friend wasn't checking too closely what photo I had up on my phone and I spent a long time believing the red-whiskered bulbul was from Palestine (it's not, it's from south Asia). So much so that I actually drew the wrong bird at first. Oops. So, I probably won't sell this guy because he doesn't make a lot of sense as a symbol for Palestine (maybe I'll repurpose him into an unrelated design after the war) but here you go, solidarity for Palestine from this lovely little tropical frugivore:

Housing as a grad student is always a nightmare, I'm so grateful that you all are helping with the deposit. My friend is also doing his best to figure out help for his family back home (a chaotic situation, just getting in contact with some relatives has been a mess so far). SO, as you may know, some of you may know, maybe none of you know, I am trying to start selling stickers!!! On my own. No RedBubble or Society6. Nope. All by my lonesome!

But in order to do that, I need to make the money to purchase the stickers and other necessary shipping supplies in the first place. So, I'm opening commissions!! Specifically,,,,,,

We'll talk a bit about your commission (like what you're looking for, any references I'll need, how much it'll cost,.ect.) I'll also be asking for your email and preferred payment method at this time. 

Payment for the commission is due upon receiving a confirmation email. This email will include a google form contract (this is mainly for me to make sure I have everything correct), notice that I've sent you a payment request, and a time estimate! 

I will begin the initial sketch once payment is received. 

Refunds are available at any point before you receive the initial sketch. 

Upon receiving the initial sketch you can suggest changes and revisions. This is your only opportunity to do so. 

From there I will finalize your commission to agreed upon level. 

I will let you know when your commission is finished and send you an email containing a PDF and PNG file!

Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT is due upon receiving email with confirmation and a time estimate. Depending on discussed payment method, you will receive either A; a PayPal invoice, or B; a Venmo payment request. Work will begin once payment is received. 

REFUNDS are available at any time BEFORE you receive the “initial sketch” OR if commission cannot be delivered within agreed upon time or at all. 

Time estimate is not a hard deadline and response times may affect how long a commission will take. 

This commission is for PERSONAL USE ONLY. You may not use the commission for any commercial purposes, claim it as your own, or use it in conjunction with any AI methods. 

I reserve the right to refuse any commission that I believe falls outside of my comfort level or skill level.  

Additionally, I will only be drawing in the specific style demonstrated in the example works.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Inspired Christmas Wishlist

I've been watching a lot of Christmas gift guides recently so I thought I'll make one for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fandom! I will add why I have some of the items on my list but feel free to use your own reasonings!

Captain America Shield lego set - Phil Coulson being a Captain America fanboy is something that the fandom still holds up even if the show strayed away from that characterization. Coulson would totally have this displayed in his office.

Golden cross necklace - Hopefully this one's not a doom omen.

Hair chalk - Daisy Johnson changes her hair style and coloring every season, and I'm one of those people who want to look like her without making a commitment to permanent changes.

Daisy hair clip - Of course Daisy changing her name to her birth one is an important part of her character.

Telescope - Biochemist Jemma Simmons has several.

Astronomy books - Or any biology book really. Science is an important factor on the show, and astronomy/space is something FitzSimmons often discuss.

Renegades book trilogy - This trilogy is VERY Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. energy, and I won't stop recommending it! Currently on the second book, but the first one is so good!

Doctor Who full series - because we know FitzSimmons are fans, and I think they make several references in show? I don't know, but the majority of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans I know are also Doctor Who fans.

Leather jacket - Get it in black. There are also cosplay ones designed to look like the ones on the show that are great if you can afford them.

Ghost Rider chase lego set - This set's Ghost Rider has Robbie Reye's charger instead of Johnny Blaze's motorcycle.

Fingerless gloves - Something Daisy Johnson or Robbie Reyes would wear.

Monkey jellycat - So maybe Fitz might not be able to get a really monkey, but this one is the best monkey stuffed animal I could find.

Secret Warriors comics - Remember to post long essay comparisons about what they changed for the show.

Gym bag/Gym equipment - You can get a gym bag with the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on it on Redbubble. Fight like Daisy Johnson!
