#maybe i can write a rescue mission for him

Hii 👋 i really love your works i would eat it if i can, especially freelance inventor, will you ever countinue writing it? (Sorry if it sound rude, English is not my first language)
"So what's the deal with them?" Steph dares to ask when Bruce and Mr. Fenton finish passing out the souvenirs the inventor brought back. She wasn't sure why she was included in the gift giving, as she never even met the man before, but she now had a bowl from Irland tucked in her purse.
She's heard about Mr. Fenton through Tim and a bit from Jason. Both boys practically worshiped the ground the man stepped on. She understood that, on some level, they owed him their lives.
Jason, after being rescued from the Joker and Tim after Mr.Fenton found him on the rooftops all those years ago. She won't lie. How they spoke about Mr.Fenton painted a completely different image in her mind.
She expected someone regal, with a cold, calculating glance, who could figure out what she was expecting with a mere glance. Someone that she wouldn't be surprised if he was found tucked away in a pure white lab, working with glowing chemicals. She knows that they never claim Mr.Fenton was terrifying, but she had personally witnessed Dick threaten to tell Bruce to the man.
If he could make Batman cower by his mere mention, Steph had been expecting someone closer to what an evil version of Alfred would be.
Instead, she got a man in faded jeans, beat-up boots, and gentleness that hurt her teeth with how sweetly he smiled. If Bruce was a Bat, then Mr.Fenton could be a flower.
Gentle. Pretty. Unassuming.
Steph had logically known Mr. Fenton was a civilian. But she thought that he would be a scary one, at the least. Maybe someone in the justice system, a personal fighter like a boxer or hell, someone good with firearms.
"Hmm?" Damian glances up from his painting. Steph noticed that he has been doing a lot lately. Leaving his room to paint around the manor. She hasn't known the boy for long.
Steph had only recently forgiven Bruce for the whole Robin stunt he pulled (making her think she was his partner only to be used as bait for Tim, burned), and she wasn't around when Bruce's bio kid was found. Based on the stories Tim, Jason, and Dick shared, though, she thought he was a little more bloodthirsty.
He is more prone to violence after his upbringing, but he seemed to be shimmering down the last few weeks. Damian had apparently been given a talking to by Mr.Fenton, who took him out of the manor into the city for some "undercover training."
Steph hadn't been in Gotham then. She was busy helping a few teen titans with a mission that had her traveling to the other side of the world. But apparently, whatever harsh training Mr.Fenton had forced Damian to undergo had brought back peace to Wayne Manor.
Or as close as it could be.
He still referred to himself as the actual blood son.
"Bruce and Mr. Fenton," she repeated, nodding to where the pair could be seen conversing in the hallway. However, it looked more like Mr.Fenton was the only one talking. Bruce was too busy staring at him like he was the most fascinating thing he'd ever seen. "They seem really close, but in a weird way."
Damain's intense green eyes snap at her. She raises a brow, unwilling to let the brat see he made her flinch. "Do you have a problem with Father getting close to another man?"
It takes her a few seconds to understand why he sounds so guarded before she gasps. "It's not the gay thing! I don't care if their gay!"
"I should hope not. You come into our home and eat our food, Brown." The boy clicks his tongue distastefully. Steph has never seen someone look down their nose at someone two heads taller than them, but Damian proved it could happen. "I would not allow for homophobia to enter these halls. It is not within the rules of social justice."
"Social justice?" She repeats a little surprise that Damian was speaking to her without an insult so far. The only time the brat had bothered to talk to anyone besides Bruce had been to insult them. At least in the two months, she had seen him wander after her Teen Titians mission.
"Danny has pointed out that Father's civilian reputation is tied heavily with social justice. It would not due for his heir to cause trouble in his affairs." Damian places his paintbrush back on his canvas, sneaking glances at the window.
Curious, Steph creeps closer to take a peak and finds herself memorized by the water painting he is working on. It's Bruce and Mr.Fenton. In the painting, Bruce is staring lovingly at Mr.Fenton, who seems to be in the middle of laughing. Though neither have arms- Damian is working on those- it doesn't detract from their loving expressions.
"If it is not due to their gender, what do you find weird about Father and Danny?"
Steph considers the question before slowly getting closer, wanting to oversee the young boy splash some white into Mr.Fenton's eyes, making them appear glowing. "It's just.....weird how Bruce likes someone so normal. No training. No big fancy money. No ties to the capes. Just a man who's really good at science."
Damain shoots her a complicated glance over his shoulders before he slowly replies. "Yes. An average Joe, as you Americans would say. That is Danny."
"Right? Isn't it weird? And besides the fact Bruce is so obvious with his crush, Mr. Feton has no idea. But he can pull apart a toaster in ten minutes to curl Babs hair for her dance? Don't you think it's odd?"
Damian hums. "A true master does not need to show who they are until the blade is at their opponent's neck. But I will admit that Danny's appearance can be rather deceiving."
"Damian.....do you know something?"
The boy's face turned more complicated before returning his attention to his painting. He taps his paintbrush against his palate before he mutters. "I knew only Danny did not treat me like a rabid animal. He took me to the zoo. I haven't been outside the manor since his last visit and grew wary of these walls."
His words hit Steph like a brick. Her first instinct is to explain why it was essential to keep him here, but then she thinks more about it, and her teeth slam shut.
Crude, has she been acting like Bruce? Had she really allowed him to convince her that a child should be locked up like it was nothing? Then again, Damian isn't a prisoner here.
Even if he was, she helped break him out.
"Say, kid, you want to come with Tim and me to the mall this afternoon? I think they have an art store."
Damian twists around to stare in utter shock. For all his training, he really is just a kid because Steph can see the genuine yearning in his eyes as he tries to casually cover up his reaction with a regal shoulder shrug. "I suppose I will have time for more undercover training."
Strange, Steph thinks while texting Tim about Damian joining them. Mr. Fenton hasn't even spoken to me that long, and he already changed how I viewed Damian. Is this why Bruce is into a civilian?
#dcxdpdabbles#Freelance inventor#dc x dp crossover#Part 5.5#Steph's pov#Damian knows about Danny#But thinks it's impolite to say#Steph can't explain all the tension between Bruce or Danny#Danny's effect on the family is ripples

would you ever consider writing a pregnant reader ? I just know Kyle would take such good care of his alone and pregnant neighbour...

Just Knock
Pairing: Kyle “Gaz” Garrick x Pregnant!Reader
Warnings: Pregnancy-related struggles (nothing graphic), emotional vulnerability, mutual pining, slow-burn romance, intense fluff, domesticity, Kyle being A+ husband material, lots of soft flirting
Author's Note: I hope you enjoyed this! I absolutely loved this request!!! I haven’t done a neighbors to lovers trope yet so I hope I did it justice!
Summary: Your pregnancy was meant to be a new beginning—but doing it alone wasn’t. Thankfully, your neighbor Kyle has a quiet way of showing up right when you need him most… and maybe staying for good.
Masterlist
MDNI18+MDNI18+MDNI18+MDNI18+MDNI18+
You didn’t notice him at first.
Kyle Garrick had always been the quiet one across the hall. Polite nods, a smile in the elevator, the occasional “Have a good night.” Nothing weird. Nothing pushy. Just the kind of neighbor who didn’t play music too loud and always brought his bins in on time.
But once the bump started showing, his glances became longer. Softer.
He’d catch the door for you, every time. Helped you steady yourself on icy mornings. Held the elevator even if he was already running late. And always with that same gentle warmth in his eyes.
The first real conversation started with your mailbox.
You were balancing a paper bag full of groceries against your belly, awkwardly fishing for your keys when the strap slipped and a can of soup went bouncing down the hallway. You swore under your breath, already bracing to chase it when Kyle appeared out of nowhere, catching it mid-roll like some kind of domestic ninja.
“Rescue mission,” he said, holding it out with a grin.
You’d laughed, flushed. “Guess that makes you the hero.”
He tilted his head. “Could get used to that title.”
That’s when it started.
Little run-ins. Short chats. You found out he worked some kind of government job—he never got into detail, but you figured military or security. Something structured, something strong. It fit.
He learned your cravings changed weekly. You learned he drank his tea with honey. He always walked a little slower when you were near, like he was worried you’d trip. You never told him how much you noticed, but you did.
Then came the night you couldn’t open the jar—and everything changed.
You’d been crying on the kitchen floor, totally wrecked by hormones and exhaustion, when Kyle knocked with a container of stew in hand and his heart on his sleeve.
“You don’t have to do this alone,” he said that night, after holding you through your tears. “Not anymore.”
And he meant it.
After that, he was part of your life.
It started with food. Delivering warm meals when you looked tired. Quietly slipping groceries into your bags when you forgot something. He started texting you—*Need anything from the store? Got your ice cream.* And you’d smile at your phone like a teenager.
Then came the real invites.
Movie nights on your couch. Him on one end, you on the other—until one night, your head found his shoulder, and he didn’t move for the rest of the film.
“That comfortable, huh?” he teased, fingers brushing your arm.
“I mean, it is a nice shoulder.”
“I got two,” he said with a wink. “Feel free to rotate.”
You laughed, turning your face toward him—and that’s when it really hit you. He wasn’t just being nice. He liked you.
You started teasing back after that.
“You know,” you said one night, nudging his side while you two built a stroller together, “you keep doing all this, people are gonna think we’re together.”
He raised an eyebrow. “People? Or you?”
You smirked. “Maybe both.”
He leaned a little closer, voice warm. “Then maybe it’s time we made it official.”
You didn’t kiss him then. Not yet. But the air shifted. The space between you started to feel like something electric. Every touch lasted longer. Every glance lingered.
Then came the nursery.
You were overwhelmed—hadn’t even painted the walls, let alone assembled the crib. You made an offhand comment about it over coffee and Kyle took one look at your to-do list before nodding.
“Saturday,” he said, already planning. “You. Me. Paint. Donuts. I’m bringin’ a drill.”
Saturday came, and with it, Kyle—jeans hanging low on his hips, faded shirt riding up his back as he knelt to screw the crib together.
You watched from the glider, cheeks flushed.
“Do you have to be so good with your hands?” you asked, more boldly than usual.
He looked over his shoulder with a grin. “Wouldn’t be a proper neighbor if I wasn’t.”
“Is that what this is?” you teased. “Just neighborly duties?”
He stood, stretched, and came to crouch in front of you, wiping a smudge of paint off your cheek with the pad of his thumb. His touch lingered.
“I dunno,” he said. “Feels a little more than that now.”
You didn’t answer.
You didn’t have to.
You leaned in and kissed him, soft and certain. His hand found your knee, thumb rubbing over your leggings as he kissed you back—unhurried and tender.
When you pulled away, breathless, you looked into his eyes and knew exactly what he meant.
“Don’t need a job title,” he whispered, forehead resting against yours. “I’m already yours.”
You didn’t cry this time. But you felt like you could. For all the right reasons.
—
Later that week, he came by again with a new shelf for baby books and a box of tiny socks you hadn’t even asked for.
“Do I even wanna know how you knew I needed these?” you asked, holding up the soft little bundle.
He shrugged. “I listen.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
He grinned. “I’m in love.”
You froze for a second. So did he.
Then, slowly, you smiled. “Yeah?”
He stepped closer, wrapping his arms around your waist. “Yeah.”
You kissed him again, your bump pressing into his chest, his hand cradling the back of your head like you were something precious.
“You’re gonna be such a good dad to them,” you whispered.
“I already love them,” he said. “But I loved you first.”

Hope you enjoyed! Please consider liking and reposting! -Midnight💜

The most heartbreaking way Byler can culminate (and how I predict it will)
(pic from 80smayfieldz)
Just cry me with today, okay? :')
We all know that when Mike and Will confess their love it has to be EPIC. Like, extreme circumstances need to happen to make these gay boys in an 80s small town confess their love. It's the only way a romance with THIS much build-up over years should pay off.
Bylers need to watch this scene from the Season 1 finale of Agents of SHIELD (Warning: spoilery if you plan to watch this old show... and you will cry!) It's two LONG-TIME BEST FRIENDS but only one can make it out alive. A secretly loves B and has avoided confessing his love because he thinks it's unrequited. He finally admits it, to explain why he's making the ultimate sacrifice.
Now think of Mike and Will on a dangerous mission that is KEY to saving Hawkins. Maybe they're in the church that Noah and Finn are shooting a scene in. Will realizes only one of them can make it out alive, and decides it'll be Mike:
Mike: "There's got to be another way, that's RIDICULOUS! You can't do this, you're my best friend!" Will: "You're more than that, Mike (can't believe he said it, fights back tears) ... Now, PLEASE..."
This is my best prediction of how it'll go. WILL confessing to MIKE makes more sense writing-wise. Mike probably figures out the Painting Lie early in s5, but how he feels for Will remains a mystery. So how MIKE responds to a love confession is uncertain.
This is a season where the Duffers have hinted they'll highlight Will's courage. So he can finish his coming-out arc by telling the person he loves. The Duffers have said Will, always the protected one, the rescued one, will come into his own in s5. I think this means he gets to be the hero this time. It will be a poetic way for Will to finally thank Mike for everything he did for him in s1 and s2; it gives symmetry to their relationship. And it would be a heroic send-off for Will.
(And NO I don't think Will will die. We gays have already had our Reddie and Destiel tragedies. Will dying would go against how the Duffers have set this show up.)
What will Mike do, when confronted with losing Will forever?
We know how he felt once before...
Mike offers himself instead, but for the mission it needs to be Will. This is the last time he'll see Will alive.
Does Mike tell Will he loves him? We know the boy struggles with saying how he feels.
Mike begs Will not to die. He can't lose him AGAIN. He couldn't live if he did. When Will doesn't believe it, MIKE KISSES HIM.
Actions, not words. ("I didn't say it." "You didn't have to.")
Mike insists on staying. Will tries to make him leave, but he refuses.
"You've always been an idiot, Mike." Will doesn't know to laugh or cry. He's sad... not about dying, but regrets the years they lost not being together.
They kiss again and hold each other tightly... And we again hear Peter Gabriel, as the church walls fall and the world is about to end:
And we kissed as though nothing could fall And the shame The shame was on the other side And we can be heroes just for one day.

Could I request a one shot with Simon Riley, where he is in a secret relationship. And one night when he was on a mission, at their shared home, one of their enemies (that they are hunting down in that mission) comes and kidnaps them. When they find the base where the enemy was, Riley went in to see his girlfriend being tortured? She gets rescued by him and seeks medical attention, as she passes out? But when she wakes up in the hospital it turns into a really fluffy moment? Maybe he gets on one knee?????
Not so Secret
~ I really hope I did your idea justice 🤞 I'm the best at writing for Simon yet or angsty hurty stuff so hopefully you enjoy this sweet little moment
~ Fluff, Torture (Mentioned), WC: 1,559
~ Simon can't live without you
Simon can feel his heart beating out of his chest. You're gonna be fine, he keeps reminding himself. No one on the team has anything in the last couple hours. Good thing. Simon might lose his mind if they try to make small talk in this situation. You're gonna be fine, he reminds himself again, leaning his head against the wall.
You were taken by the enemy team on what was supposed to be a perfectly safe mission. Get the information and get out. Simple. It only took an hour before they found you but in that time you were badly injured. You're alive he mutters under his breath. He can feel Price's eyes burning a hole into him but he still doesn't say anything.
Simon practically jumps out of his chair when the doctor comes through the door. Ignoring every word that comes out the doctors mouth, he pushes his way past and into your room. Price can deal with all the details, right now Simon just needs to see you. Just confirm that you're alive.
You're sleeping when he walks in. More like knocked out with drugs but either way you look peaceful. As peaceful as you can with bruises covering your face. He carefully takes a seat next to the bed. He lets out a deep breath as he sits there watching you. Thinking over everything that happened that day and everything he could have done to stop it, which was nothing.
He sits there long enough to doze off, something he rarely ever does when not in the comfort of his own home. You're presence just has the ability to make him feel comfortable anywhere.
"You're lucky it hurts to move or I'd have drawn a mustache on your face." You voice draws him awake.
"No one would see it through the mask." He responds, keeping his eyes closed. It's a weird feeling, having someone you love in the hospital. He doesn't want to open his eyes, he doesn't want to believe you got hurt.
"I'd know it's there and that's enough for me. Look at me Simon." You demand. He listens, opening his eyes to the brightness of the hospital room. The white walls, white lights, and white ceiling don't strike him as the best thing for healing patients.
"How are you feeling?" He asks, looking into your eyes.
"I'm alright, and you?" You sit up in the uncomfortable bed as an attempt to get more comfortable.
"I'm not the one in a hospital bed." He whispers. Eyes darting all over the room.
"True. It's not the funnest." You crack a small smile. You know exactly how he thinks, how much he blames himself. You know it's a result of trauma and you want nothing more than to be able to reassure him in times like this Unfortunately, words aren't enough to undo this way of thinking. "Join me?" You pat the empty space on the bed.
"No." He replies instantly, immediately worried about injuring you further.
"Okay I might have phrased that like a question but it wasn't. Get on this bed and sit with me so I can feel better."
He stays silent. Debating the options he has. Or more so the options he doesn't have.
"You have two seconds or I'm coming to you."
That gets him moving. At this point he knows better than to dismiss your threats. Before moving however, he takes a moment to take off his mask, something he never wears when it's just the two of you.
"Fine, you know you're not supposed to leave that bed yet." He tries to keep a demanding tone but to you it's just laced with concern. You have a wide grin on your face as he scooches in the bed with you. You end half way on top of him with how small the bed is.
"So what happened while I was sleeping?" You ask, absentmindedly tracing the tattoo on his arm.
"I have no idea. I've been here." He keeps his sentences short and simply. A habit he's picked up over the years.
"The whole time? Aw you big softy." Your heart flutters at his confession.
"M' not."
"Mhm. Whatever you say." You chuckle softly.
"Do you need anything? Water? Food? Drugs?" He kisses your forehead.
"I'm alright. Now stop it."
"Stop what? I'm trying to be helpful."
"No you're blaming yourself. I know you." You lean up in order to look into his eyes. He may be secretive but his eyes aren't.
"I'm not. I'm just thinking of all the ways I can protect you in the future."
"Okay let's say that I believe you. How would you stop this from happening again? You weren't even there." At this point you're sitting up as much as you can, putting an arm on Simon's chest to keep you upright.
"Well right now I'm thinking of locking you in my house so you can never leave and therefore never be hurt." He tells you, being completely serious.
"I'm gonna ignore that because you would like a stalker." You laugh. "Where's the rest of the guys?"
"Outside. I locked the door when I came in."
"Simon! Go unlock the door." You want to say you're surprised but not even a little bit of it is out of the ordinary for Simon.
"No. I'm comfortable here. And I don't wanna go back to acting all professional."
"Simon, you've been in here for what I'm guessing is hours considering it's now nighttime with the door locked. I don't think our secret is much of a secret."
"Maybe not. But I want you all to myself." The look on his face reminds you of a sad puppy. Which is a face he makes very often.
"And you say you're not a softy." You scoff.
"I'm not!" He exclaims, trying hard to protect his reputation that you don't believe for a second.
"Whatever you say, sweetie." You smirk as his face lights up a shade of red. Here we have a massive, cold, military man, blushing at one simply pet name, it's enough to give anyone a huge ego.
After you're little period of talking, you fall into a comfortable silence. With you laying back down onto his chest.
"How are you feeling?" He asks after just a few minutes.
"I'm okay." You quickly reaffirm him. "How about you."
"I'm fine."
"Nope tell me the truth. You've asked me that many times now."
"Just checking."
"Simon."
"I love you." He says out of nowhere.
"I love you too."
"Can we get married."
"What?!" You shoot up, wincing in the process.
"I wanna get married."
"Now??" You practically yell. Of course you wanna marry him but you're really confused.
"No I mean later. I just wanna know that we will."
"You mean be engaged?" You can't stop the strange expression that your face makes as you try and decifer what he means.
"Is that not what you want?" He asks, the fear evident in his voice.
"That's not what I said. But we've never talked about marriage I mean not as deep as we should have. I don't want you to want to marry me just because I got hurt." You start to ramble, talking so fastcyou don't even know if he can understand you. He can. He's gotten used to your nervous rambles.
He smiles bigger than you think you've ever seen him. "I've wanted to marry you since the moment we first met."
"Okay you sound more and more like a stalker the more you talk."
"Is that a no?"
"No, it's a we can be engaged as long as you're being serious. And we'll stay engaged for a while because we're not ready to be married anytime soon."
"So next months not gonna work for you?" He laughs, genuinely laughs.
"No I think I'm busy then." You retort. You want to marry him, you know that for sure, but not until you're healed, and not until you both get better at being together.
"I can wait."
"Can you go let the guys in? Cuz the way you're staring at me is making me nervous."
"I love you."
"Door, Simon."
You try to surpress the wild grin on your face as he gets up to open the door for the others. They all walk in with matching suspicious smirks.
"What have I said about eavesdropping?" You immediately question, looking right at Soap.
"Not to do it." He looks down at his feet like a child being scolded.
"That's right, yet here you are."
"It's not my fault!" He immediately defends himself and points to Price. "He's the one that walked by the door and talk me you were talking about marriage."
You turn your sharp gaze over to Price, "and here I thought you were the responsible one." You shake your head in disappointment. You can hear Simon and Gaz laughing behind them. Being more than amused at the scolding you give you captain.
"You're right. I will reflect on my actions and do better in the future." He jokes.
Also shaking his head, Simon makes his way back to your bedside. Sitting beside you and putting an arm around your waist. You have a feeling now that your secrets out he won't keep his hands off you. But you're okay with that.

Saw a post about Mushang and it's similarities to Liushen, then thought about how interesting it would be to have those in the same fic — then I went down a rabbit hole that included Mobing and Gongzhi (for some reason?)
so... here's this plotbunny, it's really fucking long though, sorry!
(oops, it posted before I finished, sorry about that, it's fixed now!)
-
Shang Qinghua knew, theoretically, that his death would be at the hands of Mobei-jun. He knew that when he saved him, he knew that all these years of serving him, but... it's finally sunk in. That Mobei-jun is going to kill him. That the bruises and frostbite and broken bones are all leading up to his death. He wraps another cut and thinks, somewhat deliriously... that maybe he should've killed Mobei-jun on that mission.
Shen Qingqiu knew his fate — the fate of the Scum Villain. He knew that any goodwill he'd built up was destroyed the moment he pushed Luo Binghe into the Abyss. Knows that all those years of treating him well, only to betray him, may have actually made the situation worse. He thinks back on that day, suddenly realizing that he probably could've made it look like an accident — he could've had Binghe "accidentally" pushed into the Abyss during the chaos, could've faked a Without-A-Cure flare up to excuse his lack of rescue. Maybe, if he'd done that, Binghe would've had mercy.
Their weekly meetings become stilted, their tea goes cold, their snacks uneaten. They don't argue about Airplane's terrible writing, they don't even reminisce over AC or the internet. The air is filled with unease, polluting each of their peaks... until they both snap. They confide in each other, cursing the System, cursing their choices, and try to plan — to dig themselves out of these holes they've dug. The clock is ticking for Binghe's return. Shang Qinghua's wounds are getting worse — he doesn't know if his death will be expedited or delayed at this rate.
And so, they argue and plan and eventually come to a few conclusions...
Shang Qinghua needs the protection of the sect. Needs to confess and beg for Yue Qingyuan's protection as he abandons Mobei-jun. Needs the protection of someone Mobei-jun had no chance of defeating.
Shen Qingqiu, likewise, needs protection — but it's written that Luo Binghe cannot lose, not to anyone in the sect... no one, except for Liu Qingge, who didn't live long enough to fight him, who didn't have a single canonical fight for the world to measure him against. The War God. The one person that wasn't bound by the narrative.
They decide to deal with Shang Qinghua first — Binghe isn't scheduled to leave the Abyss for years, after all. Mobei-jun, however, is a current threat. Every meeting leaves Shang Qinghua with more and more injuries, injuries that the original goods never had to deal with. They don't know if this Mobei-jun is going to follow PIDW's timeline. They don't know how long it'll take before he beats Shang Qinghua to a bloody pulp. After some arguing, it's agreed to come clean to Mu Qingfang first — to test the waters. He's been treating all of Shang Qinghua's wounds since they were disciples, and he'd be good back up if Yue Qingyuan didn't immediately cave to Shen Qingqiu's demands. Of course, Shang Qinghua wouldn't tell the complete truth — no one needed to know that Shang Qinghua spared Mobei-jun because he was hot — but he wouldn't alter the story too much. Better to keep to small lies, easy to keep consistent.
If it goes poorly... they'll just run. They'll abandon the friends and family they've found here, and they'll use whatever plot devices they can find to disguise themselves. The only reason it's not Plan A is because Mobei-jun knows Shang Qinghua's qi signature, and the only artifacts they know that can change qi signatures are... annoying to acquire and dangerous to use.
-
Mu Qingfang isn't surprised when Shang-shixiong shows up with various injuries, absolutely covered in demonic qi. It's routine at this point to sit him down, perform a check up, and ask questions he knows won't be answered. So he does. He heals the cuts and bruises, sets and heals the bones, and does his best to calm the eternally-stressed qi lest his shixiong have a deviation. He asks how this happened, expecting the usual evasive answer (hating that his shixiong is being abused while he does nothing but fix the aftermath), and...
and Shang Qinghua answers.
His shixiong, after years– decades of asking, stutters out an explanation. That he's been a spy for Mobei-jun since that mission where he was the only survivor. That he did it because he was scared, that by the time he was powerful enough to do anything about it, Mobei-jun was a king, and it would probably start a war if he killed him. He says Mobei-jun's been hurting him more often, that he's terrified he's going to die, and Mu Qingfang carefully soothes his shixiong's qi as tears start to fall and he stutters out his plan to team up with Shen-shixiong to tell Zhangmen-shixiong, to beg for forgiveness — for protection, even if it means sitting in a prison cell. He just doesn't want to die.
And in the face of his sobbing shixiong, constantly over-worked and terrified, Mu Qingfang promises to help. Because what else can he do? Turn his back on the shixiong he's been watching slowly fall apart over the decades? The shixiong he's watched go from introverted to downright anxious — the shixiong he's had to pick up and put back together with increasing frequency. Even if he hadn't come clean, Mu Qingfang would've had to have done something soon, with the way the injuries were increasing in severity. He's just glad Shang-shixiong told him first, so they could approach the sect leader together. It wouldn't have been good for his shixiong's stress levels if he'd demanded the sect leader interrogate him to figure out what was going on.
So, the two meet up with Shen Qingqiu and demand a meeting with Yue Qingyuan, who, as always, immediately makes time for Shen-shixiong. Shang Qinghua stutters through his story again, Mu Qingfang regulating his qi, and Shen Qingqiu bringing out a particular icy glare whenever Yue Qingyuan looks like he's going to interrupt. Zhangmen-shixiong's face is carefully blank by the time Shang Qinghua finishes speaking, at which point, Mu Qingfang decides to speak up.
He tells Zhangmen-shixiong of the countless injuries over the decades, of his certainty of their demonic origin, even during that first meeting. He tells the sect leader that if Shang Qinghua is going to be punished for protecting himself, for preventing a war, then he'll need to punish Mu Qingfang too. As a head disciple, he should've reported any suspicious injuries to his shizun, as a Peak Lord, he should've immediately informed Zhangmen-shixiong of Shang Qinghua's continuous injuries and of their suspiciously demonic origin. He says that he has even less of an excuse than Shang Qinghua, who was genuinely afraid for his life and the well-being of his sect. Mu Qingfang simply didn't want to make the situation worse for him, ignoring all rules and expectations that would've had the situation cleared up sooner.
Shen Qingqiu, clearly approving of Mu Qingfang's ardent defense, decides to continue, stating that the sect hasn't experienced an increase in failed missions or other sabotage. He explains that, clearly, Shang Qinghua had been doing his best to protect the sect, even under such strenuous circumstances. He sees no reason to be harsh towards someone who'd been a child when it started, and who was so thoroughly terrified that he only approached Shen Qingqiu, as a friend, because he could see he'd end up dead sooner or later due to the beatings.
Yue Qingyuan lets them all say their piece, and sighs. He sees Shang Qinghua's terror, and he understands both Mu Qingfang and Shen Qingqiu's arguments. He says that this was a breach of trust, that ordinarily this would call for execution, but... Shang Qinghua has not caused harm to the sect, and had he continued, the only harm would've been to himself. As long as Mu Qingfang and Shen Qingqiu are willing to bear the consequences, Yue Qingyuan will allow this to be swept under the rug, never spoken of again.
Mu Qingfang and Shen Qingqiu are quick to agree, and Shang Qinghua's punishment is to update the sect's defense arrays... left unsaid was the expectation that Mobei-jun never be able to enter the sect again. And so, the matter is dealt with, and Shang-shixiong looks like he's had the weight of the world lifted off him once the arrays are complete.
So long as he doesn't leave the sect without a qi-cloaking artifact (courtesy of the Artifact Peak), he'll be safe. Mu Qingfang feels... thrilled, to know his shixiong won't have to suffer anymore.
-
Liu Qingge notices Shen Qingqiu's nerves as he cleanses his meridians. It's an unexpected change of pace, given the dour mood the man's been in for... months, at this point. The session finishes in silence, but there's an air of anticipation that has Liu Qingge... loitering, just a bit.
Eventually, Shen Qingqiu lets out a sigh, pours him tea, and starts to talk — quietly, as if ashamed of his words. He shares that, during the chaos at the end of the Immortal Alliance Concerence, his prized disciple broke a seal. It had been placed on him at birth, presumably by one of his parents, and revealed him to be a heavenly demon. He explains that he panicked at the sight of the seal, understanding what it meant, but his disciple looked just as shocked as him. He understood that his disciple was a demon, that he clearly didn't know that fact, and given the presence of multiple sects and the ongoing catastrophe... his disciple would die, if anyone else stumbled upon him.
Liu Qingge listens, as Shen Qingqiu shares that he pushed his own disciple into the Endless Abyss. His grief makes more sense now, Liu Qingge thinks. It's not just the grief of a teacher losing their favorite student, it's also the guilt of pushing that student into danger, even if it's to protect them. Even he would've hesitated to cut down the disciple, if he'd formed such a bond and the child clearly had no idea what was going on.
They continue sitting in silence, and Liu Qingge is almost ready to leave, before Shen Qingqiu speaks up again. He explains that Luo Binghe was a heavenly demon, and the last one — presumably his father — required the collaboration of multiple sects to seal away. There's a chance that Luo Binghe will survive the Abyss, and escape it.
There's a muted fear in Shen Qingqiu's eyes, as he states there's a chance Luo Binghe will hunt him down. That, given a demon's propensity for overreactions, he may take the entire sect with him. It wasn't like he explained his reasoning, when he pushed the child into the Abyss. All he'd know is that his caring shizun saw he was a demon and immediately pushed him into hell.
And Liu Qingge can understand that fear. Heavenly Demons were strong, too strong for even him to be confident in facing them alone. Even if this one was a child, if it managed to escape the Abyss... it would be too strong for Shen Qingqiu to survive. There's an obvious solution then: train until Shen Qingqiu is strong enough to at least run away.
He says that they'll go on hunts together, so Shen Qingqiu can fight those beasts he knows so much about, to get in practice as they look for any artifact that might help him. He says they'll spar, and he'll even let him face the Bai Zhan disciples for variety. Shen Qingqiu is... reluctant, but quickly realizes that it's probably his best option. With the condition that they return to the sect at least once a month to check on his disciples, he agrees to Liu Qingge's proposal.
They'll both train, and Liu Qingge won't let him out of sight for even a moment — not with a heavenly demon after his head.
-
The months afterwards are... peaceful.
An Ding grows used to the sight of Mu Qingfang, who arrives just before dawn every morning to share breakfast with Shang Qinghua before they must start work. They do each other's hair and gossip, sharing whatever happened the day before as they get ready. Without the constant fear, and with Mu Qingfang's help taming his curls (as the only other one in the sect with curly hair), the sect slowly comes to realize that Shang Qinghua is a total knockout, actually, it was just hidden behind frizzy hair, eyebags, and his constant terrified hunching.
There are still bad days, of course, where Mu Qingfang has to insist he delegate his work to his head disciple, or where Shang Qinghua ends up on Qian Cao in the middle of the night having a panic attack, but... they're growing rarer as time passes. Qian Cao learns to turn their heads when Shang Qinghua arrives with an early shipment or unexpected, expensive goods. They learn to mind their business when they see him comfort their Shizun after a particularly challenging day.
It doesn't really surprise anyone when they start courting. The only surprise is that Shang Qinghua is the one that started it, but even that is less shocking now than it would've been the year before. An Ding is happy that their shifu finally looks safe and healthy (he actually stops working at a reasonable hour now, even if it is still after sunset), and Qian Cao is glad their shizun has someone of his own to vent to (given the stress of his job and the various struggles that come with it).
As for Qing Jing, they're absolutely thrilled that their shizun isn't moping anymore. The loss of Binghe hit them hard too, but seeing Shen Qingqiu make the effort to go on hunts made it easier for them to move on too. They miss him, when he's gone, but he always returns with treats from various villages, and a week's worth of stories and lessons to impart. He's even compiled his own bestiary! Ning Yingying has taken to giving Liu Qingge sweets as a thank you for helping her shizun, and Ming Fan grows more comfortable in his old role as head disciple, with how his shizun actually sees him and compliments him, rather than missing Binghe. The Bamboo House is still... a very hard place to be. Without Shizun, it's empty, and even with his recovery, the vacant room seems to bring back his grief.
Seeing this, Qing Jing is both relieved and absolutely pissed when Liu Qingge offers up his spare room instead. Shen Qingqiu accepts, and it's become common for him to join the Bai Zhan disciples in their morning exercises before returning to teach on Qing Jing. They are, understandably, absolutely pumped to have another Peak Lord around to fight (on top of their own being around more often! Shifu teaches them more! And is he getting better at it? What miracles!)
They settle into a routine, and, though it takes an unexpectedly long time, they announce their courting to Yue Qingyuan, who looks both heartbroken and extremely happy for them. Qing Jing gives Liu Qingge a surprisingly scary shovel talk (though he's mostly amused, he respects their dedication), but are overall very happy that their shizun is happy. Bai Zhan is just cheering that another Peak Lord has basically taken up permanent residence, since Shen Qingqiu stays in Liu Qingge's house rather than the bamboo house. They enjoy the unique challenge he gives, and some of the braver ones tell their shifu that he better treat him right or they'll try to take him for themselves (he went particularly hard on them after that, but they had zero regrets — Shen-shibo is a catch after all!)
Meanwhile, Mobei-jun is... frustrated and heartbroken. He can no longer enter Cang Qiong Sect, and he can no longer find Shang Qinghua's qi signature. He doesn't know why — was Shang Qinghua caught? Is he dead? Why else would he just... randomly leave? He's stuck with Mobei-jun for decades, why would he leave now? What was the catalyst? Was he truly so uncomfortable with Mobei-jun's courting? Why wouldn't he just say so!?
The questions leave him angry and frustrated, with no way to get answers. It's only after he enters Luo Binghe's service (an embarrassing loss — would he have done better with Qinghua's advice?) that he finally gets... something of an answer. A potential explanation.
Luo Binghe has no friends in the demon realm, trusts absolutely no one, but he's still a kind person. When he sees that Mobei-jun is frustrated, all it takes is that curly haired boy (a face so similar to Qinghua's) asking for all the questions to come spilling out. Whether it takes hours or minutes, Mobei-jun doesn't know, all he remembers is the lesson from that conversation:
Humans court differently. Constant physical bombardment is known as abuse.
And Mobei-jun is sick.
He hurt Qinghua. He drove away the one man that stuck with him through everything, just because he couldn't be bothered to double check that his courting would be understood. According to Luo Binghe... it was a miracle Shang Qinghua hadn't left sooner. And the worst part? Mobei-jun can't right this wrong. He can't explain himself. Because Cang Qiong has new wards, and Shang Qinghua has figured out how to make himself thoroughly disappear, even though Mobei-jun does receive word when the Peak Lord is spotted during a trade deal. He can't get Qinghua back. There's nothing he can do.
So he stays by Luo Binghe's side. His curly hair, his similar face... these days, Mobei-jun curses himself for not digging into Shang Qinghua's history. For this boy is an orphan, a street rat, and now it would be near impossible to find out his true relation to Shang Qinghua, given that no one knew which humans Tianlang-jun had bed. It doesn't truly matter, whether he is a cousin, brother, or nephew, Mobei-jun will right his wrongs through Shang Qinghua's kin, unable to reach the man himself.
-
When Luo Binghe leaves the Demon Realm, he goes to Huan Hua, and things progress pretty much as they did in canon, with Shen Qingqiu running, absolutely fucking terrified, being force fed blood, and agreeing to be held in the Water Prison to avoid blowback on the sect. Only difference is that Liu Qingge tried to kill LBH, which almost caused an incident with Huan Hua, because no one believed he was a demon. In the water prison, Luo Binghe sees... a ring. He knows his shizun never wore that before, so he asks about it. Not wanting to put Liu Qingge in even more danger, Shen Qingqiu stays silent.
Gongyi Xiao helps Shen Qingqiu escape, and things continue to progress. When Liu Qingge squares up to fight Luo Binghe, he notices him wearing a ring, threaded onto a necklace, and so similar to Shen Qingqiu's. It doesn't take him long to process the fact that his beloved shizun is... already taken.
By Liu fucking Qingge.
He's thoroughly pissed off, he goes to attack, but pauses when he sees his shizun grip Liu-shishu tightly, shaking like a leaf. He looks like he's preparing to take his husband and run. The thought is... off-putting. Because Liu Qingge is the War God of Bai Zhan Peak. Why doesn't Shizun have faith in the man he married?
So he asks.
And Shen Qingqiu doesn't answer.
Liu Qingge still hasn't relaxed, ready to attack at any moment, and Luo Binghe is running out of patience.
"If Shizun finds this demon despicable enough to throw into the Abyss, he should let his husband kill it."
"That's not why he did it."
Liu Qingge's words throw him off balance. He expected the man to be shocked, hearing that his loving husband had done such a thing (maybe cause a rift in their relationship), he expected, maybe, to be attacked for being so disrespectful.
Liu Qingge then explains, because Shen Qingqiu is terrified into silence.
And Luo Binghe is crushed. Shizun threw him into the Abyss... to save him? Shizun was scared for his safety?
And suddenly Luo Binghe feels sick, when he remembers what he's done. How he hurt Shizun, who was too scared to answer. Who just wanted to protect him, only to realize later that he wasn't thinking straight — that his words were twisted in his effort to get Luo Binghe into the safest place possible in that moment: the Endless Abyss. The shizun that believed in his capabilities enough to be afraid that he'd come seeking revenge.
The fight drains out of him, Liu Qingge doesn't relax, but Shen Qingqiu behind him looks just the slightest bit more curious than terrified. Luo Binghe pulls out a note, written from Mobei-jun to Shang Qinghua, and drops it onto the roof. "This disciple apologizes to Shizun. Please ensure this message gets to Shang-shishu." He uses Xin Mo to teleport to a different roof, staying just long enough to see Liu Qingge hand the note to Shen Qingqiu, who collapsed bonelessly into his side.
He goes to the Northern Desert, rather than the Southern Kingdom. He arrives in the sitting area of Mobei-jun's quarters, and plops himself into a seat. He thinks, and thinks, and he's feeling absolutely awful by the time Mobei-jun arrives. He takes one look at Luo Binghe's disheveled state, and takes the seat next to him.
They talk.
Mobei-jun is a surprisingly comforting presence. He'd always listened and offered advice, but Luo Binghe didn't think he'd have the patience for talking him through... whatever the hell this is. Heartbreak? He isn't sure.
It helps though, and Luo Binghe feels much lighter. Mobei-jun had already promised to never darken Cang Qiong's doorstep, to never go anywhere near Shang Qinghua again, after what he'd done... Luo Binghe would just have to do the same. Even if all he wanted was to go back to Qing Jing, to his room in the Bamboo House... but Shizun is married now, there's no way he'd allow Luo Binghe to stay there permanently.
So he just... stays in the Demon Realm. He's an emperor now, surely Shizun wouldn't want him neglecting that duty? And even if he would've liked Shizun's advice... Mobei-jun would have to do. He had experience, and he's been nothing but helpful. Decision made, Luo Binghe embraces his status as the Demon Emperor, and gives it his full attention.
Without him, Shen Qingqiu's trial falls apart, even as the Palace Master accuses Liu Qingge of killing Luo Binghe. There's not enough concrete evidence for Shen Qingqiu's crimes, and the character defenses from the sect and his husband all speak louder than Qiu Haitang's slander. Even if Liu Qingge was in extremely hot water with Huan Hua, they couldn't prove he'd done anything either.
Shen Qingqiu delivers Mobei-jun's note to Mu Qingfang, asking him to be there when Shang Qinghua read it, because who knew what was in it. He agrees, and they read it as soon as possible, to get it over with.
It's an apology, with an explanation of their different cultures and a promise to never bother him again. It's a promise to right his wrongs through Luo Binghe, who he assumes to be related to Shang Qinghua through the boy's mother. It's short and blunt, and Shang Qinghua is... conflicted. He loves Mu Qingfang, and honestly, couldn't even dream of a life without him, but... Mobei-jun was his dream man. Thinking like that... perhaps it was for the best that they didn't end up together. The reality could never live up to the expectation.
More importantly, is him remembering his half-sister in this life: Xi-jie. Who had suddenly cut contact with him completely, and who he'd never managed to track down afterwards, not having known her full name. Shang Qinghua is crushed, to realize the protagonist was that close to being given a better life. Had Su Xiyan managed to contact him at any point, he would've taken her son in in a heartbeat. Mu Qingfang consoles him, and they decide, jointly, that it was for the best if he didn't pursue that relationship. Not with Mobei-jun promising to stick by the boy, and not with the way he'd treated Shen Qingqiu.
And everyone just... moves on with their lives.
Mu Qingfang and Shang Qinghua are happy together; they have three kids that get absolutely spoiled by their disciples, and they take care of each other, ensuring neither overworks too severely. Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu, without the threat of Binghe's return hanging over them, relax more. They enjoy peaceful days with the Qing Jing disciples, they have fun jointly beating up the Bai Zhan disciples and teaching them new moves, and their hunts aren't nearly as battle-focused as they were before, giving Shen Qingqiu a chance to study the beasts rather than immediately going to fight them.
Luo Binghe and Mobei-jun are rarely apart and treat each other as equals in all things. They value the other's advice when implementing policies, and they will each jump to the other's defense, whether it be physically or through words. It surprises absolutely no one when their affair is found out — at first a convenient way to control Xin Mo, eventually morphing into a proper relationship. They're the rulers of the demon realm, they need not abide by the rules, but... Luo Binghe enjoys planning the wedding, and Mobei-jun can't deny him that, even if it meant dealing with the paperwork of technically merging the two kingdoms but also not. Their broken hearts have long been mended by each other, and it's no surprise when they have six children, close-knit and loving, like the family they wished they'd had sooner.
-
Tianlang-jun rotted away, despite Zhuzhi-lang's best efforts. His last act was to give Zhuzhi-lang enough energy to sustain his human form indefinitely. He is purposeless, and alone, and he sits beside his uncle's corpse for far longer than he should have. There's nothing left for him, not with his uncle gone.
So he exits the cave, and he sits under a tree, out in the open. He is very clearly a demon within Huan Hua territory, so it wouldn't take long for a cultivator to stumble upon him and put him out of his misery. Sure enough, in the middle of his patrol, Gongyi Xiao sees a snake demon just... sitting there. He doesn't look hostile, nor does he look like he's going to move.
He also just... looks kinda pathetic.
So, Gongyi Xiao makes a decision. He can't, in good conscience, leave it there. If he does, and it attacks someone, that's his fault. He also can't just kill it if it's not even doing anything. So he decides to... initiate conversation.
It takes a while for Zhuzhi-lang to bother properly responding, but once he does, they get along quite well. He shares stories about his and his uncle's journies through the human realm, reminiscing as he starts to process his grief. Gongyi Xiao decides, maybe this demon isn't that bad actually, and before they know it, it's sun down and Gongyi Xiao is very late.
They meet daily, with Gongyi Xiao taking on more patrols than usual to make sure his demon is doing alright. Eventually, though, pieces of Zhuzhi-lang's story start to... click. They conflict with things he's been told by his shizun. Maybe Zhuzhi-lang is misremembering in his grief, but... he's concerned enough to start investigating on his own.
He finds a lot of dirt on the Old Palace Master, most of it completely unrelated to Su Xiyan, which is what he was actually trying to investigate. Eventually, he grows so disgusted with the sheer amount of crimes the old man has committed that he decides to just... start a coup. He's well-liked, so it's easy enough to get people on his side — it's even easier when he starts spreading rumors and has all of the man's misdeeds printed into a fairly popular book (more than a few publishing houses were burned down because of it, oops). He didn't... intend to replace the old man, but that's what happened and, hey, now he can bring his demon home and no one can fight him over it, yes sect leaders, he's perfectly sane, thank you.
Zhuzhi-lang learns that he's just as attracted to competence and beauty as Tianlang-jun, he just prefers his with a side of kindness rather than tsundere. He also finds it incredibly funny that everyone just... pointedly ignores his presence. A demon he may be, but their sect leader wanted him there, so there he would stay. The whole scenario brings to mind the forbidden romances his uncle loved to read about. As he settles in, watching Gongyi Xiao overhaul Huan Hua Palace and all its greedy rules, he thinks his uncle would want to see how this story ends.

a/n: Part two is here!! Finally omfg im sorry this took so long. I hope this is a good part two i had a fun time writing the angst and stuff. It maybe ended a little darker than I meant but oh welll. We love some angst. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!
The sound of the grandfather clock echoes in Logan's ears. The faint sound of students walking around the halls, playing outside. All drowned out by the clock. The heart necklace sits in his palm, his rough fingers tracing the shape over and over again.
When Logan had gotten back to the mansion he was bombarded with questions. All about a person he had never heard of. He grew angry and confused, wondering who they were talking about. It wasn't until he saw the look on all their faces that he realized something was wrong.
Memory wiped. He was fucking memory wiped again. Charles tried to explain it all but his brain went fuzzy. He tried to restore them but whatever you had done was too powerful. Only faint distant feelings. They tried to jog his memories with pictures but nothing worked. Whoever you were you were, you and him were close.
He's got a look on his face that he doesn't even recognize. One of pure adoration. The stories they tell, it was like hearing stories of someone else. He went through his room. He could smell this faint vanilla scent. The same one from the motel room. It was you. He was with you. But just who are you?
He turns the heart around in his hands. It’s faintly familiar. He closes his eyes and tries to wrack his brain for anything. Just something. There's a gaping hole in his chest, a sense of dread and something lost. A surge of anger takes over him as he shoves the necklace back in his pocket. He feels helpless and confused and he fucking hates it.
They're planning something in Chuck's office and they kicked him out. Why he doesn't know. They're planning a rescue for you and apparently he was the most important person to you so why wouldn't he be in there. Even if he doesn't remember. He should be in there. He stands up and barges through the doors, not caring anymore.
"Tell me what the hell is going on. Now." He stands with his arms crossed, a scowl on his face.
"Logan..." Jean starts but he brushes her off.
"I don't fucking care if I don't remember her just fucking tell me the mission." They team exchange looks and Logan resists the urge to roll his eyes. He's not a child. Whether he remembers you or not you were important to him and to the team. He needs to get you back.
"The mutant group, apparently she knew of them. She used to work with them years ago before any of us knew her." Charles explains and Logan listens. His hands tightening into a fist.
"We believe that she went after them for reasons we do not know. But what we do know is that they're dangerous. More dangerous than what she remembers." He can feel somethings off. The way the team shifts in their seats. The way Ororo won't even look him in the eyes.
"Logan, we think they have her." Scott says slowly.
"So we go find her."
"It's not that simple-"
"No it really fucking is that simple." Logan growls.
"You all talk about her like she's the heart of the fucking mansion so why am I the one who seems to care the most right now! I can't even remember her!" Logan slams his fist hard onto the table it almost breaks.
Why aren't they as worried as he is? Why don't they seem to care? Silence casts over the room but slowly everyone nods, agreeing with him.
"We leave in 15." He says with such severity that no one argues. Logan turns and leaves. Ready to come and find you.
-
The jet engine hum is the only sound inside. Everyone is quiet. Waiting. Normally Logan hates flying but right now he's too focused on getting you back. His eyes are closed as he tries to pull anything from his head. The faint sound of laughter, the feeling of warmth, the smell of vanilla. All of it was right there. Locked behind a door he couldn't get through. He feels someone sit in the seat next to him.
"What." He growls as he turns the necklace in his hand around and around.
"Are you okay?" It's storms voice. He sighs and opens his eyes.
"Just fine." She's quiet for a moment before she decides to talk.
"We're going to find her Logan." She says with a confidence he just doesn't have.
"You and her, I've never seen two people more meant for each other. She made you happy and you made her feel less alone." He wishes he remembered you.
He really does.
He can't think of all the moments he's been told about or the pictures that have been taken. He doesn't know what it was like to love you or to be loved by you anymore. It kills him. If he was happy, if you made him happy, then he's lost it all. Why would you take that away? From him and from you. Why couldn't you trust him with this?
Even though his memories are gone he can feel this sense of worry building in his chest. He needs you to be okay. He needs to protect you. Fuck he doesn't even remember you but that deep primal urge is still there.
"Five minutes out. Everyone brace for landing." Logan tucks the necklace into his suit, keeping it close to his heart as he unsheathes his claws and waits for landing. He will find you. There's no other option for him.
-
Your whole body ached. After leaving Logan you tracked down Mack and his gang but they had the one up on you. New, powerful mutants. They already knew you were coming the second you had the thought. They ambushed you. Attacked you and rendered you useless. They should have just killed you but Mack wanted to keep you. To lure your team out as a trap.
"They aren't coming." You hiss as he stands in front of you. He's crouching down and grinning.
"I don't know sweetheart, my sources tell me there's someone on the team who is quite fond of you." He brushes your cheek and you recoil in disgust.
"Get your fucking hands off me." He chuckles and one of his followers hit you hard in your leg.
"Feisty. Tell me, is that because of Logan? Did he rub off on you?" Your blood runs cold. If they do anything to him.
"Don't touch him." You lunge at Mack but you're restrained. to the ground. Mack presses his foot onto your throat and his smirk turns into something dark.
"You're funny. Tell you what." He puts more pressure on your neck and you start to see dots in your vision.
"When the Wolverine gets here we'll make him watch you die...and then kill him." Mack laughs and another hard blow to your head sends you into darkness.
You can only hope that Logan stays far, far away from this.
-
He can hear them. Fucking idiots not even trying to hide. They're bragging, laughing. Well they won’t be laughing for long. Logan’s claws gleam under the moonlight as he stalks like an animal.
The plan was to create a diversion while a rescue team goes in to get you. He wasn’t exactly know for his subtlety but no one wanted to argue him being the one to find you. It was a one man rescue team.
The sky rumbles and a loud explosion from far away leads the mutant group away. Logan springs into action. He takes out the few bodyguards around camp with ease.
He finds you alone and unguarded. A sense of relief washing over him as he bends down and scoops you up in his arms. Though he can’t shake the feeling that something’s wrong. That this was too easy.
“Logan?” Your voice is quiet, broken.
“Hey, we’re gonna get you out of here.” He gently holds you as he looks for a way out.
“No.” You say. Your voice stronger than before. Confusion washes over him as you push him away. The injuries on your body seemed to disappear as the world fades around him.
“You think I want you to save me? I ran away from you Logan. Couldn’t you get the fucking hint?” Your words spit like venom. You were not the person he thought you were.
“It was all a lie, a cover.” His claws come out, teeth baring as his anger grows. But then he catches a whiff of someone unfamiliar. He hears the faint calling of his name.
“Yeah?” He walks closer to you. A taunting look on your face. Without warning he swings his claws right next to your face.
“Tell him that it will take more than a weak illusion to fool me.” Logan whispers in your ear.
Slowly the world he thought was reality melts away. Your tied up, held by force by one of Mack’s followers. Had he given in and swung at you he would have killed you. That must have been their plan. He looks to the side to see a body with three claw marks on the ground.
“Well, you’re smarter than I thought. Well done Wolvie.” He hears a slow clap behind him.
”Fuck off bub,” Logan growls as he holds up his claws. Ready to pounce. He hears the rustling around him. He’s not alone, they’re hiding, waiting.
“It’s a shame really, we would have gotten along great.” Mack smirks as Logan grows angrier.
“Fat fucking chance.” Logan lunges at Mack but he’s tackled to the ground. Held down by some sort of force he can’t fight.
“You may be physically strong but let’s see how you do when someone fucks with your mind. Just like she did.” Logan struggles baring his teeth as he tries to fight out of whatever hold they have him under.
“Stop!” You cry out. Your voice is strained and tears are falling down your cheeks.
“Mack please, just leave him alone.” You fight out of the grip on you with all your strength. Falling to the ground roughly. Your hands are still tied behind your back as you struggle to get up.
“Please don’t hurt him.” Your desperate.
Mack stands up crouches over you. He grabs your face roughly, digging his nails into your face tightly. Logan growls when he sees you wince in pain.
“Aww so cute.” He taunts and throws you to the ground.
“The question is which one of you has the biggest hero complex hm? You left us because you thought we were wrong, evil. You wanted to play hero.”
“What we did was wrong Mack. We hurt innocent people for our own good.” Logan stares at you and you can’t find it in yourself to look him in the eyes.
You can’t bare to see that look of nothing. He doesn’t know who you are and its your fault. But this is for the best. You can get him out of here and he can walk away from you without the pain.
You feel a sharp pain as Mack slaps you hard. “We were surviving!” He yells.
“Why should we care about the world when they don’t care about us!” He takes out a pocket knife and you tense up.
“Get the fuck away from her.” Logan roars and Mack just grins.
With a snap of his fingers one of the other mutants starts to crush Logan. It was a subtle pressure at first but he could feel the discomfort. They were sinking him into the ground. They were going to bury him alive. You can see a flash of panic. He hates that suffocating feeling. So reminiscent of his nightmares.
“Mack please, we were family once.” You beg as you watch Logan struggle. You can’t let them do this to him.
“Stop please!” Mack grabs your face and makes you watch.
“We were but you picked a new family. Now you can watch him suffocate.” Your eyes meet with Logan’s and you start to cry. He’s afraid. Its your fault. This is all your fault.
“I’ll stay! I’ll stay and help you again just let him go!” You cry out. The weight is lifted off Logan and he scrambles to breathe.
“I promise. I won’t fight and I won’t run. Just please, leave him alone.” Mack thinks for a moment, its a tempting offer. Your powers are strong and he was never able to find anyone quite like you.
“No! Logan shouts, he can’t let you do this. Not for him.
“You got yourself a deal. But if you ever try anything. We’ll hunt him down and kill him. Then the rest of your little family.” Your eyes flash with fear and you nod.
Logan’s heart twists as he sees the broken look on your face. You’re condemning yourself to a torturous life for him. When you look at him he feels a horrible feeling. He longs for you. Your eyes are full of a love he’s missing from his life. You love him and he can’t even remember what it was like. Did you calm his nightmares? Keep his deepest secrets? Did you know all his faults and choose to love him anyways? He needs to know. They pick him up and force him onto his knees.
"Tell your team to stay away." Mack wraps his hand around your neck, his knife pressing against your skin, taunting Logan.
"Logan...I love you and I'm sorry." Your voice is raspy as you choke out the words. He needs to know. You smile painfully as Logan just looks at you.
"Go on, run away Wolvie." Mack snarls.
Even in pain your eyes are full of love just looking at him. He was your everything. You love him so much you're willing to sacrifice yourself, your happiness, all of it for him. How? This kind of love...he's never felt this before. He may not remember it all with you but fuck he wants to know what its like. He wants to learn what it was like to be loved by you. He can't let you go. Not when his future happiness is in your hands. The rage builds. He will not leave you. Doesn't matter how much blood will be shed tonight. He will save you.
With a loud roar Logan unsheathes his claws and with all his willpower throws off the weighted feeling. He's like an animal, snarling and growling as he drives his claws into your captors. There's no mercy in the way he takes each and everyone of them out. They try to stop him but when they realize their efforts are futile they start to run.
"Where do you think you're going?" His voice is cold, void of any emotion as he digs his claws deep into someone chest. Mack's confidence fades as he watches Logan's rampage. He grabs you and tries to run. Dragging you along the forest floor.
"Logan!" You shout and he instantly turns around.
On all fours he uses his claws to launch himself towards you. Chasing Mack down like prey. It's really a pity how fast he catches him. At another time he would have enjoyed playing with him, toying with his fear. All the pain he's caused, not just your pain but the innocent people he's ruined. He deserves to pay.
"Not so tough now huh?" Logan stabs him right through the heart.
When he's sure he's dead he stands up, blood soaking his claws. His head turns to you and you freeze. You know he won't hurt you but apart of you worries this is a trick. Another one of Mack's illusions just to fuck with you. Logan gently bends down and cuts you free.
"He's gone sweetheart." Tears start to fall down your cheeks as he scoops you up in his arms.
"I'm sorry I'm so sorry." You babble over and over as Logan holds you tight. You fit just like a puzzle piece into his arms. This feels right. This feels like home. The sound of footsteps sets him on edge but he calms down when he sees the familiar faces of his team.
"Where the hell were you guys?"
-
No one dared bother Logan. They let him take you back to the jet. He held you the whole time. Even when you fell asleep from utter exhaustion he kept you close. He was with you every step of the way. Bringing you to the lab, watching as they run tests and stick needles into your arm. On your recovery bed with the ugly white lights he sat until you woke up. Sometimes you stirred, whining and you sounded afraid.
He wonders what fucked up things Mack made you see. The bruises and scars on your body told only half the story. With each fearful sound he wishes he would have taken longer to kill that bastard. But he's gone now and you seem to calm down when he's with you. Sensing him through your sleep.
The necklace sits in his hand. After he got back he had to make sure it was still with him. It was bloodied now, and had some wear and tear from the past. So he busied himself fixing it up, cleaning it until it shined like new. He doesn't know when or why he bought it for you but clearly it was special. The two stones meant something. He knew they did.
When you finally came to he jumped into action. Calling hank to come check on you while he slipped away to get you water. There was a big fuss, people scolding you for leaving and crying from happiness that you were back. Apologizes poured out of your mouth as you faced your family. Logan hung back and watched you be embraced, be loved. Your powers seemed to settle after this. The fear of touching other people was gone as you hugged people without a second thought. He waited and waited until it was just the two of you.
"Hey there," You can barely look at him as he sits in the plastic chair next to your bed.
"Logan I..." You can't get the words out. How do you even begin to apologize.
You bury your face in your hands but Logan isn't having it. He had a lot of questions but they could wait. He takes your hands away from your face, cupping your chin to make you look at him. Your heart breaks a little when you look into those eyes. He still doesn't know you. Of course, his memories are still gone.
"Why did you come? You don't remember me." You ask him. He risked his life for you, he killed for you. The Logan you knew at the start wouldn't have done that for you. Maybe with the team but to risk all of it alone. Why?
"I don't have to remember you to see you were important to me sweetheart, though I would really like those memories back." Of course.
You never took them from him. If anything you locked them away. You couldn't bring yourself to truly erase yourself from his mind. With a gentle touch you release his memories like a tidal wave. They pour into his brain, flooding his senses as memory after memory flash into his mind. Ending with your final moments together in that motel room.
Your first kiss, you told him you loved him. You took that from him. He should be angry with you. You stole his memories just like they did before but when he opens his eyes there's no anger.
Only love.
He smashes his lips onto yours. Capturing you into a heated kiss. This is what he dreamed of. Getting to touch you like this, to show his love. He's rough with his motions. He should be gentler but he can't help himself. Years of desperation building up into this. He can finally hold you, finally claim you as his.
"Logan I'm so sorry." You cry. He shushes you with another kiss.
He doesn't care about that right now. You were afraid and though he wishes you came to him he's just glad to have you back. You scared the fuck out of him.
"I love you too sweetheart, you didn't give me the chance to say it but fuck I love you." You claw at his shirt to get him closer.
You need him to be as close as he can. He ignores the wires and climbs into the bed with you. Situating himself so that you're as close as you can get. Legs intertwined with each other. He takes the necklace and places it around your neck. Clasping it and smiling as it rests above your heart.
"I'll always fight for us sweetheart. I'll fight for you." Even if he doesn't remember you he knew deep down that there was something there. That you were important to him. No one could take that away from him.
You curl into his arms, finally feeling at peace for the first time. Not worried about your powers or about your past. You felt protected and loved. Logan lulls you back to rest promising to keep watch. He knows that what you suffered won't go away easily but he'll be there every step of the way.
Nothing will take you from him again. Not ever. He'll make sure of that.

Looking at you with my big ol eyes to politely ask for more Skids whenever you feel in the mood to write for him. That first part was just so gooood I keep thinking about it ;u;
Sure

Hysteria Pt 2
IDW Skids x Reader
• Cringing and almost dropping you as you slump against his servos, still making that awful gagging sound as he runs up the ramp while the others cover him. Looking down, he shudders. “I know you’re really stressed, but if you don’t stop purging, I’m going to be doing it, too. Nobody wants that,” he mutters trying to find someone to hand you off to as the last bot makes it back aboard and Rodimus runs for the bridge. Seeing him staring at them hopefully, everyone backs away from him and you. Wanting nothing to do with the mess or the smell. Awkwardly rubbing a servo against your spine, he roughly clears his vents. “Please, stop? Anyone know how to fix this?”
• Throat raw, you lay your cheek against the giant robots hand and cut your eyes up at him. Because you’d been able to understand him. At least you can ask him what he’s going to do to you, those other aliens either couldn’t understand you or didn’t care. They definitely hadn’t been as gentle as he is. Feeling him rub your back and the unhappy worry in his voice eases some of the terror. He wouldn’t care that you’re upset if he was just going to hurt you, right? “I want to go home.”
• Now Tailgate and Trailbreaker, the only two not driven off by your purging take the opportunity to bail on him, knowing you’re going to have to be told that you can’t go home and wanting no part of it. Cowards. And you can’t go home, at least, not yet and that’s not going to go over well. Glaring at their retreating backs, he uses a servo to nudge your hair away from your face and his servo lingers seeing a nasty yellow bruise on your neck. Is that a bite?Venting softly, he wishes he’d shot more of them. Those tired eyes stare up at him, much calmer. No, resigned. Though he’s pretty sure that’s about to change. “So, about that? We’re on a mission and far from Earth, but I promise I’ll try to get you back.” Eventually. Not wanting to tell you it might be years before that happens.
• Eyes closing, you refuse to start bawling. What good would that do? All you can do is hope his promise is worth something. That he’s kinder than your last captors had been. “You’ve been to Earth. Understand my language.” Not really a question, but if there were giant, alien robots on Earth, wouldn’t you have heard about it? That would have definitely made the news unless it was covered up by the government, which wouldn’t really surprise you. “What are you going to do with me?”
• “You’re safe here, there’s other humans onboard. Er, rescues like you. I guess you’ll stay with me for now. I’m Skids.” Not sure how he feels about having a human to care for as you just look up at him, shockingly calm considering the excitement and terror you’d just gone through. But as your eyes stay closed, still not lifting your head from his hand, he hopes that maybe you’re just too exhausted to be scared. There’s no telling what those aliens had done to you before he’d found you or how long they’d had you. Those coverings you’re wearing don’t look like what little he knows of human fashion. Making him wonder if you’re normally this docile or if you’d been broken. “You’re going to be okay. I promise.”
• Tired down to your bones, you just lay against his servos. Wanting to believe him. Wanting to be safe, not scared anymore. Not hurt. And more than anything else, wanting to sleep. To forget the pain. Curling yourself into his warm hand, he starts stroking your back again as he walks and even though you hate it, you start softly crying.

TWO OF HEARTS

SUMMARY: ashley graham x reader x leon kennedy // leon and ashley try to gain your love in spain through various acts.
WARNINGS: not proofread, mentions of ashley’s kidnapping (not by reader or leon), jealousy, reader’s really unaware of how they’ve fallen head both like her, ashley and leon don’t really like each other
AUTHORS NOTE: sorry i’ve been so inactive! i’ve been drowning in homework lately, but i had no homework today so i decided to write! i’ll try to be more active in the future, but anyway, here’s my first leon/ashley writing! send asks if you want some more content about either one of them :3 this is 0.6k words, but not really a full on oneshot?? just ideas
when you and leon get sent by the president to rescue his daughter from a village in spain, your friend decides it’s the perfect time to get closer to you. although the mission is supposed to be all serious, considering you’re dealing with the president’s daughter, he can’t help but notice you’re oblivious to his advances and compliments.
unfortunately, as he attempts to get to know you better, you keep the objective in your head: find and save ashley. of course, it’s always good to stay focused on the task, but he wishes you’d have more fun at the time.
another thing that would be a pain in his ass at times was ashley. for some reason, she’s taken a liking to you as well and trails behind you like a lost puppy. she’s always complimenting you, whether it’s about your skills or your outfit, or how you can lift something heavier than two times her weight.
all those words from her make leon’s blood boil. he has a job to do, but she isn’t making it any easier.
however, he can’t blame her for finding herself attracted to you. you’re everything anyone could ever want, the most perfect thing, sculptured by god himself.
leon tries to gain your attention by laying his hand on your waist or hip, occasionally rubbing the space with his thumb. of course, he likes to protect you because it makes him feel masculine, and he can be depended on. sometimes he tells little jokes just to see your eyes squint, especially in a high-stress situation. he places his jacket over your shoulder when he sees a single hair on your arm perk up, or goosebumps form on your arms or legs. he always feels a surge of pride flow through him once he sees his dark brown coat on your body.
ashley, however, isn’t too fond of leon’s actions. she’s thankful he’s taking part in saving her, but prefers to be a few steps behind you instead. she’s always chatting your ear off and smiling at you sweetly, using her manners whenever you do something kind for her (leon tells her that you’re just doing your job, and she always rolls her eyes when he makes that comment). she always blushes and giggles when you gently place a hand on her back, guiding her where she needs to be, like a schoolgirl talking to her crush on the phone. being kidnapped by a cult was traumatizing, but she hated the thought of returning to her father and never seeing you again, supposing you’d be busy on other important missions. maybe she’ll ask her father to invite you over for dinner so she can properly thank you.
the unspoken rivalry between the blondes grows far too strong, one will grin as the other crosses their arms or scoffs when they’re not feeling noticed by you. they’ll both be shoulder-to-shoulder with you, ashley’s head tilting as she looks deep into your eyes, trying to flirt with you. meanwhile, leon will stay silent and tell you what the next task should be, all with a large arm around your waist.
you’ll compliment ashley on her adorable skirt, asking her where she got it, and she’ll respond with a cheery smile on her face. within a second, she’ll send a smirk towards leon, and his expression hardens as he glares at her.
your obliviousness frustrates them both, even telling you they love you or want to be more than friends would only be a compliment towards you! you’d take it as they see you as an important person in their life, or they want to be best friends. the blonde finds humor in the other’s frustrations, feeling closer to you once the other fails to tell you how they’ve fallen head over heels for you.

Steal My Heart, Why Don’t You? *.✧
The Turtles were knee-deep in another mission, sneaking through the Foot’s latest hideout to retrieve a crucial artifact Shredder had been hoarding. The lights flickered above, the tension thick.
“Alright, everyone stick to the plan,” Raph whispered, his tone authoritative.
“Yeah, yeah...” Leo muttered, rolling his eyes.
Suddenly, a familiar voice cut through the silence, just as a knife lodged itself into the wall near Leo’s head.
“Hey, Blue, nice reflexes,” Y/N said with a smug grin, stepping out of the shadows like she’d been there the whole time. She crossed her arms, leaning against the wall like she owned the place.
Leo scowled, pulling the knife free. “Y/N.”
“Miss me?” she asked, her grin widening.
Mikey snickered. “Oooooh, Leo’s got a nemesis crush.”
Leo shot him a look. “Why are you here, Y/N?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” she replied, twirling another knife between her fingers. “But I’ll make you a deal. Give me twenty bucks, and I won’t rat you out.”
Raph groaned. “You gotta be kidding me.”
Y/N shrugged. “Your call, boys.”
Leo sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. She always had a way of turning the situation into a joke. And worse? She was good at it. Begrudgingly, he fished out a crumpled twenty from his belt pouch and handed it to her.
“Pleasure doing business,” she said, tucking the cash into her pocket. “By the way, you’re going the wrong way. The artifact’s in the east wing.”
Leo blinked. “How do you—”
“Later, Blue,” Y/N said, tossing a lazy salute as she disappeared down the corridor.

Y/N wasn’t just a wild card; she was an entire deck shuffled out of order. She didn’t fight for Shredder’s cause. She fought for the sheer fun of it, making a game out of everything she did.
Just last week, she’d stolen a highly classified device from the Foot Clan’s own vault, only to return it a week later with a sticky note attached: “Too easy. Try harder next time :)”.
Shredder wasn’t pleased.
The next time the Turtles encountered her, she was lounging on top of the artifact they were supposed to retrieve, eating a granola bar.
“Hey, guys,” she said, waving nonchalantly.
“Y/N, move,” Leo said, his patience thinning.
“Relax, Blue,” she replied, taking another bite. “You’ll give yourself a wrinkle.”
“You’re gonna get caught one day,” Leo warned, stepping closer.
Y/N smirked. “Then what? You gonna come rescue me?”
Leo sighed. “Why are you even with the Foot Clan? You don’t take any of this seriously.”
“That’s the point, Leo,” she said, hopping down from the artifact. “Life’s too short to be all serious like you. Gotta have some fun.”
“Fun’s gonna get you in trouble,” he said.
Deep down, Leo knew he was saying similar things that Raph would say too, but Y/N could get on his nerves on that level. Even though he would never admit it out loud.
Y/N leaned in closer, her eyes locked on his. “Maybe I like a little trouble.”
Leo’s face heated. “You’re impossible.”
“And you’re predictable,” she shot back with a wink.

The Turtles were on a mission, sneaking through the Foot Clan’s latest hideout to retrieve a stolen weapon. As usual, Raph took point, leading the way.
“Let’s make this quick,” he said. “The sooner we’re outta here, the better.”
The team moved like shadows, avoiding patrols, until they reached a dimly lit corridor. Just as Raph was about to signal for Donnie to disable the next set of lasers, a knife whizzed past his head, embedding itself in the wall with a solid thunk.
“Geez, Raph, you flinch like a rookie,” a familiar voice drawled.
Raph’s eyes narrowed as Y/N stepped out from the shadows, her signature smug grin plastered across her face.
“Y/N,” Raph grunted, gripping his sais. “What do you want?”
She crossed her arms, leaning casually against the wall. “Relax, big guy. I’m not here to fight.” She tossed a second knife in the air, catching it effortlessly. “But if you want to make this interesting, how about a deal? Twenty bucks, and I pretend I didn’t see you.”
Mikey burst out laughing. “Bro, she’s hustling you!”
Raph clenched his teeth. “Why do you always gotta show up when we’re workin’?”
“Because it’s fun,” Y/N said with a shrug. “And you’re all so serious. Lighten up, Raph.”
“I ain’t paying you a dime,” he shot back.
Y/N sighed dramatically, as if truly disappointed. “Suit yourself. But if I yell ‘Intruder!’ right now, you’ll have to explain yourself to about twenty Foot Soldiers.”
Raph stepped closer, towering over her. “You’re really pushin’ it, Y/N.”
She didn’t flinch, didn’t even blink. Instead, she smirked wider. “You’re cute when you’re mad.”
Raph’s face turned red—whether from anger or something else, he couldn’t say.
Leo laugh. “Just give her the twenty so we can move on.”
Grumbling under his breath, Raph handed her the money.
Y/N grinned, tucking it into her pocket. “Pleasure doing business, boys.” She winked at Raph before slipping back into the shadows.

For weeks, Raph couldn’t get her out of his head. Every time the Turtles ran into her, she made it her mission to get under his skin. Whether it was sneaking up on him during missions or cracking jokes mid-fight, Y/N always found a way to mess with him.
And the worst part? She was good at it.
One night, the Turtles were patrolling the city when they spotted her perched on a rooftop, casually tossing a priceless artifact between her hands.
“Y/N!” Raph barked, leaping onto the roof.
“Hey, Red,” she said, unbothered by his sudden appearance. “Miss me?”
“Give it back,” Raph demanded, pointing to the artifact.
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “What, this old thing?” She tossed it to him without hesitation. “I was gonna return it tomorrow. Thought I’d give the museum a little excitement first.”
Raph caught the artifact, glaring at her. “You’re playin’ a dangerous game, hangin’ around the Foot.”
She shrugged. “Danger’s part of the fun.”
“You know it's not worth it,” Raph shot back, his voice softer.
Y/N smirked, stepping closer. “Aww, you care about me, don’t you, Raphie?”
Raph’s eyes widened. “What? No! I—”
She poked his chest with her finger. “Relax, tough guy. I can handle myself.”
Raph looked away, feeling a little shy. “You irritate me!”
“And you like it,” she teased, giving him a kiss on the cheek before walking away.

The Turtles were in the middle of infiltrating a high-tech Foot Clan facility. Donnie had spent weeks preparing for this mission, hacking into security systems and designing gadgets specifically for the job.
“Alright,” he whispered, tapping furiously on his tablet. “Lasers deactivated, cameras looped. We’re in the clear.”
“Nice work, Donnie,” Leo said, giving him a nod.
“Yeah, yeah, let’s move,” Raph said, looking around.
Just as they were about to advance, the facility’s alarm system blared to life.
“What the—” Donnie frantically checked his tablet. “That’s impossible! I disabled the system!”
“Not impossible,” a familiar voice chimed in.
The Turtles turned to see Y/N lounging on a control panel, her legs swinging casually as she twirled a USB drive between her fingers.
“Miss me, Donnie?” she teased, her grin as smug as ever.
Donnie’s eye twitched. “Y/N. What did you do?”
“Just a little override,” she said, holding up the USB. “You’re good, Don, but you’re not me good.”
Donnie’s hands clenched around his bo staff. “Do you have any idea how much work went into this operation?”
“Oh, I do,” Y/N said, hopping down from the panel. “That’s why I couldn’t resist messing with you.” She tossed the USB to him. “Here. I turned off the backup alarms. You’re welcome.”
Donnie caught the drive, glaring at her. “Why? Why help us?”
“Because it’s fun,” she said with a shrug. “And I like seeing you all flustered. It’s cute.”
Donnie groaned. “You’re insufferable.”
“Thank you, love!” Y/N shot back with a wink.

After that night, Y/N seemed to pop up at the most inconvenient times, always one step ahead of Donnie’s carefully laid plans. She’d sabotage Foot Clan operations, only to help the Turtles in her own chaotic way.
It drove Donnie crazy.
One night, he decided to confront her. He tracked her signal to a rooftop where she was tinkering with a stolen piece of tech.
“Y/N,” Donnie called out, his voice sharp.
She looked up, unfazed. “Well, well. If it isn’t my favorite genius.”
Donnie crossed his arms. “Why do you keep interfering? What’s your angle?”
Y/N tilted her head, pretending to think. “Hmm... because it’s fun? Because I’m bored? Or maybe...” She stepped closer, smirking. “I just like getting under your shell.”
Donnie’s cheeks flushed. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And you’re adorable,” she countered, poking his chest. “All serious and focused. Lighten up, Don.”
Donnie huffed, trying to ignore the way his heart skipped a beat. “You’re going to get yourself killed, messing around like this.”
“Then maybe you should keep an eye on me,” Y/N teased.
Mikey brought up the rear, humming quietly to himself, when he suddenly froze.
A flash of movement caught his eye, followed by a familiar voice.
“Hey, Orange, you look lost,” Y/N said, stepping out from behind a stack of crates.
Mikey’s face lit up. “Y/N! What’s up, dudette?”
“Not much,” she said with a shrug. “Just thought I’d see how my favorite turtle was doing.”
“Favorite? For real?” Mikey grinned, leaning on his nunchucks. “You’ve got good taste.”
Y/N smirked. “Don’t let it go to your head, Mikey.”
Just then, Raph’s voice came through Mikey’s earpiece. “Mikey, focus. We’ve got a mission.”
“Uh, yeah, about that,” Mikey said, rubbing the back of his neck. “Y/N’s here.”
“Great,” Donnie groaned. “She’s going to blow our cover.”
Y/N held up her hands in mock innocence. “Relax, I’m not here to snitch. In fact...” She pulled out a small gadget. “I already disabled the cameras for you. You’re welcome.”
Mikey’s eyes widened. “Whoa, you’re like, our guardian angel!”
Y/N laughed. “More like your mischievous fairy godmother.”
* * * *
After that encounter, Y/N started showing up more often. Whether it was mid-mission or during a random patrol, she always seemed to find Mikey.
One night, the two of them crossed paths on a rooftop. Y/N was balancing on the edge, juggling stolen jewels like they were tennis balls.
“Nice moves!” Mikey called out, joining her.
“Thanks,” Y/N said, tossing him one of the jewels. “Catch!”
Mikey caught it easily, tossing it back. “You know, you’re pretty awesome for a ‘villain.’”
Y/N chuckled. “And you’re pretty chill for a ‘hero.’”
Mikey was fascinated by her carefree attitude, and Y/N couldn’t help but be charmed by him.
“You ever think about leaving the Foot Clan?” Mikey asked, leaning back on his hands.
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “And do what? Join you guys?”
“Why not?” Mikey grinned. “You’d fit right in. Plus, we’ve got pizza.”
Y/N laughed, shaking her head. “Tempting, but I’m not exactly the team-player type.”
Mikey shrugged. “Doesn’t mean you can’t change.”
Y/N gave him a thoughtful look. “Maybe. But for now, I like keeping you on your toes.”

ohhh can I request Shadow's daughter getting kidnapped by people loyal to infinite who want revenge against him. Like maybe reader and the daughter are out or at home and reader gets knocked out when they come and they take the daughter. Shadow comes home to find out what happen and is livid. (He rescues his daughter of course and beats the kidnappers ass)
A Father's Wrath
Pairing: Shadow x Reader
Genre: Action, drama, Hurt/Comfort
Rating: T (Teen)
Warnings: Violence, Kidnapping, Minor Injury, Possible Angst
A/N: Thanks for the request! I love writing about Shadow being protective of the ones he loves. I tried to make it really cute at the end, hope you like it!
--*--
It was a peaceful late afternoon, the sun was already beginning to set on the horizon. You sat on the rug in your living room, placing a few more colored pencils in front of you. Your daughter was already having fun making various different and creative drawings.
"These drawings are really turning out beautifully." Her eyes lit up at your compliment.
"Thank you, Mommy, I'm going to give them to Daddy when he gets home," she said, admiring the masterpiece she had created. Shadow had left early that day for a G.U.N. mission, leaving you and your little one with black and red fur alone at home, which, in reality, was something that happened quite often.
You picked up a sheet of paper and a pencil, beginning to sketch a simple scene.
"Mommy... Do you think Daddy worries about me even when he's far away?" You turned your face, focusing your gaze on your daughter's worried expression.
"Of course, sweetheart. He would never let anything happen to you." The little one gave a sweet smile, holding onto her drawing pencils tightly.
"I already miss him..." She looked down, twirling the pencils between her fingers.
"He'll be home soon, no need to worry. Then you can spend time with him."
So, both of you, smiling, went back to drawing and laughing as if the day would end just like any other.
--*--
In your distraction, you didn't notice the faint sound of footsteps outside your house. Figures slinked along the walls, moving through any shadowed areas they could find, taking careful steps and communicating through gestures and codes. The three stopped in front of your front door, analyzing the lock. Behind the similar masks they wore, they nodded to one another. One of them stepped forward, pulling a lockpick from a pouch and inserting it into the lock.
After a few seconds of testing and turning the tool, the lock gave way, making the door silently swing open, granting the intruders access to your home.
Stealthily, they moved closer to where you were playing with your daughter. Two of them stopped against the wall just before the living room entrance, while the third silently positioned himself strategically behind the couch in the dimly lit room.
On the other side, the strongest of the two pulled out a cloth, soaking it with a liquid. Then, in perfect coordination, as if they had trained tirelessly for this, the three figures advanced.
You had just finished another drawing when your eyes widened, and your heart raced at the feeling of cold hands gripping your chin tightly and firmly, preventing you from turning your head. You tried to fight back, but the intruder was physically stronger, and his partner held your arms to prevent any resistance. You attempted to stand up, but they pushed you forcefully onto the floor, completely immobilizing you.
In front of you, a third figure emerged from behind the couch, stepping out of the twilight shadows, their mask reflecting the dim light of the room. He moved swiftly, grabbing your daughter by the wrist before she could run.
"Mommy!" Her voice trembled, and her small body struggled against the intruder. But he was bigger, stronger.
You tried to fight again, but before you could do anything, a damp cloth was pressed against your nose and mouth. It had a sweet, nauseating smell, one you had encountered before, but this time it was much stronger, overwhelming your lungs.
Within seconds, the exposure to that scent made you dizzy. Your body felt weak as if you hadn't slept in days, and your vision grew heavy and blurry until the last thing you saw was the three masked invaders leaving your home. One of them carried your daughter in his arms as she kicked and struggled, but it seemed to have no effect.
Then, you felt yourself lose consciousness, unable to take control of the situation.
The three stopped at the door, looking down at your unconscious form. The three familiar jackal-faced masks exchanged glances. Each mask had a unique color for identification, just as their leader bore a single purple mark down the middle of his mask.
The leader crossed his arms.
"That sewer rat doesn't deserve to have a family..." he said with authority, looking at the little hedgehog.
"What do we do with her, boss?" another invader asked, struggling to hold onto the child. It was then that he let his guard down, and she managed to sink her teeth into his hand. The invader yelped in pain, grabbing her by her quills to make her let go.
"Feisty, just like her father." The leader approached, grabbing her chin and examining the little one's angry expression.
"My dad is going to kick your butts... And then I'll dance on your graves!" she growled softly.
"Adorable..." the third invader, the shortest of the three, chuckled darkly. "We'll see who'll be dancing on whose grave soon enough, sweetheart. We have some business to settle with your rat father."
"We're hedgehogs!" she declared bravely, squirming in the other's grip.
"We'll see if all that bravado is good for more than just a little bite later. Let's go, guys." The leader huffed, turning to leave your house, followed by his lackeys. The invader carrying your daughter placed a cloth over her mouth, not only to keep her quiet but to prevent her from using her teeth as weapons again.
"When that 'perfect little project' arrives, he'll regret every second he's spent breathing on this planet." One of the invaders laughed darkly, joined by the low chuckles of the others.
With effort, the little one managed to free one of her hands from the grip. The kidnapper didn’t pay much attention as she pulled out one of her quills, hissing softly in pain before tossing it to the ground just before the kidnappers disappeared into the dark alleys of the city.
--*--
Shadow accelerated his motorcycle, eager to get home as soon as possible after another stressful day working on G.U.N.'s frustrating missions. He sighed in exhaustion, just wanting to reunite with his family. As he approached his street, he slowed down a bit, turning towards the garage, but something caught his attention.
The black hedgehog narrowed his eyes as he looked at the house and saw that all the lights were off, even in the darkness of the night. It was still too early for the two of you to be asleep, so what could have happened? At first, he didn’t think much of it. It had happened before, in a situation where you and your daughter had prepared a surprise party for him. However, it never stopped making him suspicious.
He might have brushed it off—if not for his ruby eyes immediately locking onto the slightly open front door the moment he turned off the motorcycle.
Frowning, Shadow stepped off the bike, walking briskly to the door. He sensed a strange smell, even a familiar one, but he didn’t stop to analyze it—his instinct to protect his family was overpowering.
As he stepped further into the house, entering the living room, his eyes widened upon seeing your figure collapsed on the floor. For a moment, he felt an immense and uncontrollable rage surge through him, a long-dormant thirst for vengeance bubbling up inside.
"(Y/N)!" He called out, rushing to your side, kneeling as he supported your head on his lap, gently holding your cheek. His breathing grew heavier as he examined you. His face immediately leaned in, pressing his sensitive ears against your chest.
Shadow let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding when he heard your heartbeat. But that didn’t fully ease his fear—after all, he hadn’t seen his daughter anywhere.
"Damn it... Wake up." He held your chin, one hand on your shoulder, shaking you slightly. "Come on, my love... Wake up."
He felt your body stir slightly as your eyes slowly began to open, your expression adopting a look of confusion, not understanding what was happening. Then, your gaze finally locked onto his crimson eyes.
"...Shadow?" You questioned, your body still weak, trying to wake from the intense forced slumber.
"Calm down, (Y/N)..." He firmly held your shoulders. "Who are 'they'...?" Shadow emphasized each syllable, making it clear and also trying to calm you down. Taking a deep breath, you answered.
"Kidnappers with strange masks... They appeared out of nowhere at home, there were three of them, and they have our daughter." You finally summarized what had happened.
"I'm going after her... Are you sure you're okay?" He was about to get up but stopped mid-action to look at you with concern.
"I'm fine, it was just a fainting spell. You need to go, Shadow, you have to find them..." You whispered, crossing your legs on the carpet as Shadow stood up and started walking.
"I'll be back before dinner..." He growled in a low snarl, heading toward the door.
Stopping in front of it, he caught a metallic scent he was already used to—blood. But it wasn't his daughter's; it was from some Mobian who had dared to lay hands on her. In fury, the hedgehog punched the wall, controlling his strength to avoid causing damage, but his fist itched to do exactly that to the face of whoever had taken his daughter—and to the one who had nearly hurt you.
The black hedgehog stepped out, closing the door behind him. He began walking, but something else quickly caught his attention.
Shadow looked down, spotting a small black quill, identical to his but smaller than an adult hedgehog's. Immediately, he understood what it meant, exhaling softly.
"Smart girl..." He walked forward, scanning the ground, picking up another quill along the way, and already spotting the next one fallen on the asphalt. With his advanced sense of smell and the quills left behind by his daughter, Shadow could easily track the kidnappers and free his child.
With that, the air around Shadow crackled as an orange electric energy flickered around him, his eyes glowing a vibrant red. In the blink of an eye, he was no longer in the same place, leaving behind only a streak of blurred orange.
--*--
The leanest kidnapper carried your daughter into the dimly lit place, forcibly placing her in a chair. His partner arrived with ropes, tying her wrists. The little one struggled and huffed but couldn't say anything due to the cloth tied around her mouth. She glared at the kidnappers with a furious expression.
The leader just let out a nasal chuckle upon seeing the defiant look of the little hedgehog pup.
"She's quite feisty, huh? Let's see where that attitude gets you, little one." He crossed his arms, his voice muffled by the silver mask. The other two finished tying her up and then moved to stand beside their leader, their long tails swaying from side to side, indicating their satisfaction with how the mission had gone.
"And now, boss? What's first? Do we ask for ransom? Or just use her to lure in that stinking hedgehog?" The shortest one asked, rubbing his hands together.
"Patience... We need to make him angry. We'll wait a few hours, then demand her ransom, luring him straight into our trap. Our revenge must be savored—we'll make him feel the same humiliation that Master Infinite did... Then we'll kill him... right in front of the child." He raised a hand dramatically, clenching it tightly. The other two laughed, pleased with the idea.
The tallest kidnapper grabbed a cloth, pressing it against the hand where your daughter had bitten him, trying to stop the bleeding.
"Damn, it won't stop bleeding. Those fangs of hers are really vicious..." He complained, feeling his swollen hand throb as he squeezed it tightly.
"That was your own fault for letting it happen..." The shorter one retorted.
"It's not my fault she's a wild rat just like her father... I'll make sure she gets a good view when I beat him up. Maybe that'll break her bold attitude." He growled, glaring at the tied-up girl, who was still staring at them angrily.
"Not so fast, I'll be the one to beat him up first..." The shorter one pushed him.
"You can play with him after he falls from my punch!" The other pushed back, their voices rising.
"With that hand of yours, the only thing you'll be punching is your own clown face!"
The leader shook his head in disbelief at the ridiculous argument between his partners. Not wanting to hear another second of their nonsense, he walked over to a table with computers, turning them on and pulling up the cameras monitoring their hideout.
He crossed his arms in front of the screens, watching the movement in the city at night.
Suddenly, he caught something moving on a camera in his peripheral vision. Turning to look at the monitor, his eyes widened as he saw an orange blur speeding past their alley, sending papers flying everywhere and leaving a trail of electricity of the same color.
Disbelieving what he saw, the leader checked the next camera, hoping it was just his imagination. However, to his surprise, the same blur passed by at high speed again, making him stumble back in shock.
Panting from the surprise, he turned to his two accomplices, who were still arguing.
"You two, stop that! There's something on the cameras." The two exchanged a few more words before finally focusing entirely on the leader, walking over to him.
"What happened?" The shorter one looked at the screen, frowning under his mask when he didn't notice anything unusual. "You must've seen a bug..." he muttered.
But at that moment, on another camera—this one monitoring an alley even closer to their hideout—the same blur passed by at high speed, making the shorter one yelp and jump in fright.
"I told you! It's getting closer—go to the main gate, we can't let him get in here!" The leader said, turning to grab a blade with a purple gemstone adornment from the table and heading for the gate.
"Wait, what was that?" The shorter one asked, hurrying to keep up.
"No one other than our dear target... Now get ready, fighting him is no joke..."
"He found us pretty fast, didn't he?" The taller one noted, following the leader.
"That doesn't matter now..." The leader positioned himself in front of the gate, gripping his blade tightly. The other two drew their own weapons, ready for combat.
Outside, they heard a sound like a missile tearing through the alley at full speed. The three of them tensed, preparing. However, the crash and battle they expected never came. They relaxed slightly, seeing that the noise outside had also ceased.
Suddenly, something on the roof of the hideout cracked. The three of them jumped in fright, turning around and looking up. In an instant, the weak ceiling gave way, sending electrical sparks flying to the ground along with the wiring. A black-and-red blur rapidly followed.
Their eyes widened as they saw the blur hit the floor, revealing an enraged hedgehog who rose, scanning the area with his glowing red eyes until he locked onto the three of them, their blades pointed at him.
"Fools, you never stood a chance..." Shadow stepped forward, fists clenched. His crimson eyes swept over the scene, meticulously analyzing each of his enemies, a battle plan forming rapidly in his mind.
"Stop right there! Filthy rat, we have your daughter, got it? One more step and she's dead!" the leader said bravely, taking a step forward.
Shadow's eyes narrowed, then suddenly widened as he saw a small black and red ball shoot toward the leader's face, crashing into his mask and knocking him to the ground.
The little ball rolled onto the floor near Shadow, uncoiling to reveal a small, panting hedgehog with a knot of rope still tightly bound around one of her wrists. When she opened her eyes and focused on Shadow, her face lit up.
"Dad!" she exclaimed, quickly getting up and hugging his legs. "I knew you would come..." She rubbed against him affectionately.
For a moment, Shadow was distracted from his enemies, feeling only relief at being reunited with his daughter. He placed a comforting hand on her head, reassuring her of his presence and the protection he would provide.
"I would never leave you..." His expression was soft, but suddenly, his ears flicked to the side, picking up movement. His face turned to anger again as the leader, now without his mask, tried to lunge at Shadow. The hedgehog swiftly grabbed his daughter, teleporting in a matter of milliseconds, reappearing right behind them all.
Shadow glared at the kidnappers, snorting. The leader was visibly a Mobian Jackal missing one of his ears, staring at the hedgehogs with golden eyes filled with fury.
"Stay here, I'll take care of this so we can go home..." Shadow instructed his daughter, stepping forward.
"Yeah, Daddy! Get them!" she cheered happily from her spot.
The jackal growled, baring his fangs.
"You're nothing but a weakling... We're going to take you down and avenge what you did to Master Infinite!" the leader shouted, getting into a combat stance. Shadow suddenly stopped in his tracks, looking impassively at the enemy. "You know what you did, don't you? We're going to annihilate you, you'll pay for what you did to Infinite..." the leader said in a lower tone.
Shadow remained silent for a few seconds until one of his eyebrows raised.
"That little dog was a failure... And you all are even worse..."
Growling, the leader lunged forward with his blade. Shadow easily dodged to the side of the slashing attack, retaliating with a punch to the jackal's face. The enemy staggered back awkwardly, clutching the spot where he had been hit. The two henchmen growled, charging forward. The black hedgehog braced for combat, dodging the first attacker, grabbing his arm, and pulling him into the taller enemy, making them stumble backward and stop only when they hit a piece of furniture, quickly regaining their footing.
The leader tried to attack Shadow from behind, but the hedgehog was faster, turning and grabbing his wrist with a force that made the enemy scream in pain, bones cracking from the twist. The kidnapper collapsed to the ground, crying out and whimpering in agony, clutching his dislocated wrist.
Suddenly, the shorter enemy ran at Shadow, jumping on him and grabbing him from behind, while the taller one rushed toward Shadow, aiming a blade and ready to strike.
However, the kidnappers had no time to attack, as they were suddenly struck by a yellow electric shock after two energy spears shot toward them. They collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain, until the effects of the shock wore off, leaving them gasping for air.
Shadow looked behind him in surprise, seeing his daughter with her hands extended, breathing heavily.
"Did you just use Chaos Spear...?" he said, his tone slightly impressed. The black hedgehog took a step toward her. The little one gave a tired smile, clearly overwhelmed by the use of so much energy.
Shadow's ears flicked back, catching the sound of something shuffling on the dirty floor. He turned his head, crimson eyes focusing on the two forms of the kidnappers attempting to get up but miserably collapsing again, unconscious.
"Think twice before messing with my family..." he said threateningly to the leader, who cowered, still clutching his wrist.
Shadow snorted, looking with disdain at the fallen figures before him. Then, he turned back to his daughter, his expression softening as a small smirk appeared on his muzzle.
"Hey, kid, you did great. You made me proud." He approached her, holding her trembling little hands. Her eyes sparkled at the praise.
Then, he lifted her into his arms. Instinctively, the little one clung to his neck, sighing contentedly and closing her eyes, exhausted.
"I fought them too, Dad. I'm already strong like you..." she whispered before yawning, relaxing in his arms and nuzzling her muzzle against his shoulder. At that moment, Shadow felt himself completely melt, his body no longer as rigid as usual, and even his quills softened, becoming plush and fluffy.
"...Yeah, you're already pretty strong," he murmured, tightening his embrace around the little hedgehog who looked just like him, keeping her safe from everything. With that, he calmly began walking, carrying her out of that place.
--*--
The front door creaked open. Your head, which was resting in your hands as you curled up at the table, lifted at the sound, recognizing the heavy steps of Shadow's Air Shoes.
In an instant, you jumped up from the chair, running to the door. Your inner desperation and anxiety vanished the moment you saw the hedgehog you loved, carrying your daughter peacefully sleeping in his arms, as if nothing had ever happened to her.
Relieved and feeling your legs tremble from the nerves, you took small steps toward them, embracing the two most important hedgehogs in your life, resting your forehead against the fur on his chest.
Shadow sighed contentedly, bringing a hand to gently caress your back, soothing you, then pressing his muzzle to your head in a slow, affectionate kiss.
"I told you I'd be back before dinner..." he murmured in your ear, sending a shiver down your spine and bringing a brief smile to your lips. "She helped me in the fight... I'm proud of her. The power she has impressed me." You let out a soft nasal laugh at his words.
"I figured she would have powers like that; after all, she really takes after you." Your fingers gripped his fur, pulling him impossibly closer. "I'm so relieved that you're both safe... Thank you for always protecting us, Shadow."
"Anything for my family. I will always protect you two, never forget that." With his free hand, he held your chin, tilting your face up, bringing his muzzle closer, pressing his lips against yours in a passionate kiss.
And so, your happy family could finally relax and calm down from the scare on that pleasant night.

Hey so I wanted to request for a ghost x reader, let say she is a new team member top of her field. The only usually thing is that she fights funny, she fights like Bayonetta. If you don't know how Bayonetta is please check her fighting scenes on YouTube.
I really love your writing and hope you can do the request soon. Tag me
Kicking Ass, Taking Names Later
𖤐Pairing: Ghost x Sargent! F! Reader
𖤐Pronouns: She/Her
𖤐AN: Tbh, had no idea who Bayonetta was but a quick Google and YouTube search later figured it out. And yeah…that is a very…interesting…fighting style and I’ll be getting right on that ( @tired-writers-world )
𖤐Warnings: smut, harsh language, dancing fighting style, kissing/making out, codenames, badly translated French,
𖤐Summary: She's the new Sargent for Task Force 141 and Ghost just can't seem to take his eyes off her, when she is training
————

————
"Alright, she's crazy," Price says, watching his new recruit to Taskforce 141, her name is Y/n L/n and she isn't really new to the Military, she's a Sargent.
She was transferred from the French Military to be here for a mission with the 141 men. She was fortunate to be here, and now when it came to training the boys got to see how quick and cheeky her fighting style is.
She was training with Gaz. Gaz was getting second hand of how good she is. She had him in a headlock, her legs around his neck and she was giving him some teasing words.
"I was told you were good," she says.
"Then l-let me go and I can show you," he grunts. She let's him go and they stood up, Gaz pushes his thumb against his nose thinking it was bleeding. Y/n stood tall, hands behind her back as she waits for Kyle's attacks.
He rushes at her, but Y/n dodges his punch, she moves behind him and kicks his back foot out making him land on his knee.
"Hey!"
"You're not showing me that you're good." She gives him a teasing smile.
"Just hold still then."
"Fine," like Gaz wanted she stays put and he starts to charge at her again, pinning her to the mat and Soap who was standing off to the side ready to mediate when it was necessary watched as Gaz held her wrist and was throwing some playground insults at her, only to feel legs wrap around his neck and yank him backwards off her body.
She cat flips up on her feet and looks at Gaz who held his neck while on his back.
"Sorry for going to hard on you," she says. She puts her hand out for him to take, which he does.
"Yeah? No problem, and no hard feelings," he gives her a smile.
"Y/n!" Price calls for her. She turns and sees the man standing with his arms crossed over his chest, she takes a towel and wipes her forehead.
"Evening Captain," she says with a smile, she then turns to the man standing next to Price. "Who's he?" She asked.
"Oh, right, Sargent this is my Lieutenant Simon Ghost Riley."
"Ghost? Oh yeah, Gaz and Soap was telling me about you," she slightly giggles.
"Something funny about my name?" He asked, a bit serious.
"No, but you get dropped on your ass a lot," she was talking about training, Ghost may know what he is doing on the field, but during training he gets his ass handed to him quite often.
Her giggles were the only thing Ghost was really focusing on.
"You speak English pretty well," Simon wanted to change the subject. "For a French woman."
"I learned English in the second grade, and after that, I started to use it more then my native language."
"I don't hear an accent?"
"I hide it very well, when I speak English." She says to him.
"I can't tell if they're flirting or she's trying to get under Ghost's skin," Gaz whispers to Soap.
"Maybe both," Soap whispers back.
----------------
During the mission, Y/n was partnered up with Ghost to go into this bunker, they were on a search and rescue mission while also trying to stop this illegal weapon smuggling, and cartel.
Y/n was in front while Ghost covered her 6.
"Go ahead," she says.
"Hand signals, Sarg."
"You think I use hand signals? Go, Lt," she whispered yelled at him.
"Use them," he grumbles while walking by her. She rolls her eyes and now she was covering him.
The rest of the time it was silent between them. Ghost looks over his shoulder feeling Y/n had pushed up against him.
"You're too close, Sargent."
"I'm trying to look too."
"How are you a Sargent, but take things so unserious?" He asked, annoyed.
"I do take things serious!"
"Back up," he growls under his breath, and she did.
"Will you two stop bickering?" Price says over their earpieces.
"Why'd I get paired up with the French woman?" Ghost says.
"Because she's good," Price reminds Ghost, who looks over his shoulder seeing Y/n have a smirk on her face.
"Because I'm good," she teased Ghost.
"So good she doesn't use hand signals?"
"Shut up, I'm good and you know it," she walks by him and points her gun up and she goes around the corner.
"Hey, you can't just take off," Ghost whispered yelled and chased after her.
"Oh here we go," Soap joins in.
When going through the bunker, Y/n was off on her own looking at a room that looked like was burnt. She picks up a few burned items and picked up a burnt stuffed giraffe. The head was hanging on by a tread, and she felt tears in her eyes.
"What the hell?" Ghost walked.
"I think they were holding children here..." she shows him the stuffed animal.
"Sick bastards."
"Let's move on," she drops the stuffed animal and wanted to leave this room behind, but she doesn't want to forget about it, she used the back of her hand and wiped the tears away from her eyes and Ghost watched as her emotions almost showed.
"Sarg-"
"Let's go," she says again.
----------------
They got to a door that looked like a safe, Ghost had battered the door opened and as they had abruptly entered the room guns and lasers were pointed at the both of them.
"DROP YOUR WEAPONS!" The man in front yells. A small amount of men pointed their weapons at them.
"DROP THEM NOW!" Another yells, Ghost with a grunt tosses his gun to the ground and Y/n does to, both putting their hands up and placing their hands behind their head.
As Y/n kept an eye on the guy in front her hand goes to the handle of her dagger that was held in the back of her vest. She quickly pulls it out and throws it at the front guy.
He holds his bleeding neck and drops to the floor, the men tried to fire at them but Ghost grabbed his pistol and fires at one of the guys. One goes after Y/n.
She lifts her leg and kicks the guy in his stomach sending him to the ground, but he gets back up and tries to go after her feet, she jumps and lands on the guys back, not hard enough to break his back but enough to put him in some sort of pain.
Another goes after her but she swings her foot out tripping him, the one she jumped on, grabbed his dagger from his vest, Y/n grabs his wrist fighting with him, pushing him back taking his hand and twisting it downwards to his stomach.
He was trying his best to avoid the end from going into his stomach, but giving his hand a good push the blade had gone into his kidney.
The other man had something a bit...bigger. A fucking machete, she backed up as the man swung the bigger knife. Her back hit a table and she jumps on it. He tries to slam the blade down, but she had jumped over him.
And grabbed the pistol from the dead mans vest and pulled it out and fired a few shots at the man.
Ghost had some blood on him, but he watched Y/n and how she could handle herself, and her fighting style was weird, he didn't know what she was doing but it was impressive.
"Allez (come on)," she says, he shakes his head and follows her.
----------------
After the mission that turned out to be a success. Ghost had sat across the table from Y/n. She was drinking a beer while speaking with Gaz.
Ghost was still amazed she could fight like that.
"Y/n, where did you learn to fight like that?" Ghost had asked her making her stop her conversation with Gaz and looked at Ghost.
"What do you mean? I've always fought like that."
"I know, but like...did the French Military teach you?"
"Yes and no. They did but I put my own twist on it," she smiles at him. "Pourquoi veux-tu apprendre aussi, Ghost (why are you wanting to learn too, Ghost)."
"I don't understand," he says.
"Why Ghost, do you want to learn?" She rephrases.
"No, not really, I have my own fighting style thank you very much, but...damn...I've never been so impressed with how someone fights like you."
"I fight like a girl."
"A very...very hot girl." He confesses.
"WOAH! GHOST!"
"MATE COME DOWN!"
"Oh?"
"Sorry...I think..." he questioned himself. "It's just impressive, that's all," he says, not wanting to talk about it anymore.
"Aww, someone likes Y/n," Soap teased and Ghost smacked him upside his head. "Ow!"
"Shut up," he mumbles.
"Ghost, even though we didn't seem eye to eye at first, I am flattered...we should work together some other time," she smiles at him.
"Sure," was all he said.
"HEY LOOK CAP'N IS ABOUT TO SING!!" Soap yells as the guys all cheered for Price stepping onto the stage. Ghost had his head down but moved his eyes up to look at Y/n who was smiling at Price singing oh so awful, but it was just funny to watch.

SVT Masterlist 💜 Main Masterlist

“Rrrrrow. Mmmmrowwwrrr.”
“Oh, not again,” you mutter to yourself, rising from your couch to trudge to your back door. It’s starting early tonight.
You can barely see into the yard next door, but you spy a fluffy grey and white tail bobbing around. There he is. Your neighbor’s cat, yowling to be let inside, like always he does. The pitiful creature lets out another cry, and your heart twists. You know from years of living here that the jerk next door won’t be home for a while, so poor kitty is stuck outside in the rapidly cooling autumn air. Probably hungry for his dinner.
Well, you’ve had about enough of this. As you stand there, watching the cat’s tail swish in the air, the barest puff of an idea sneaks into your head. Before you can stop it, it blooms into a full-tilt plan.
You’re already in motion when your phone buzzes with a text. Normally, you’d ignore it, but it’s your favorite person on the planet.
Shua: whatcha doin
You: stealing my neighbor’s cat
Even though your best friend is famously down for any sort of drama, his response is so ridiculously fast that it makes you smile.
Shua: scandalous
Shua: can I help
You send him a brief description of your plan, and he shoots back that he’s already on his way.
There’s a knock on your day exactly twenty minutes later, proof that he wasn’t lying. When you open the door, Joshua takes one look at you and points, nodding. “Yes, good, I’m glad we’re on the same page.”
He’s referring to the fact that you’re both dressed completely in black, head to toe. The only difference between you is that he’s got a cute beanie shoved over his hair, a few strands hanging down in his eyes as he smiles at you.
“I worried maybe I was taking this too seriously.”
“Oh, no, this is very serious,” you inform him, leading him through your townhouse to the back door. “I’m really about to rescue Mr. Meepers from that asshole.”
“Hell yeah, you a- wait, did you say Mr. Meepers?”
“Yes, I did, and yes, I know,” you laugh.
Junhui, your horrible neighbor’s amazing ex-boyfriend, might not be the best when it comes to naming pets, but he’s a very sweet guy. While he and Mr. Asshole Next Door adopted the cat together, it was always very clear that he was Jun’s cat, and Jun’s cat alone. It breaks your heart to know that Mr. Meepers is being kept hostage solely for the purpose of punishing Jun for leaving that asshole.
“He’s such a cute kitty, though, so friendly and playful, and Junhui’s really upset that he can’t get him back. That asshole won’t return his texts anymore. And the one time Jun showed up, he wouldn’t even answer the door.”
You pause to look out the window. Your yard and the one adjoining to the left are clear - or, at least as much as you can see over the fence seems empty.
“It’s bad enough that he won’t give Jun his pet back, but I know this jerk doesn’t take good care of him. He’s always locking him out in the yard. Doesn’t matter the time of day - I hear him out there all the time, crying and clawing at the patio door.” You frown. “Doesn’t matter what the weather’s doing and he doesn’t leave any water out for him, either. Just throws him outside and locks the door.”
As you ramble on, Joshua’s expression darkens. “I knew your neighbor was an asshole, but damn. That’s fucking cold.” He tips his head as another mournful “mrrrrooowww” sounds. “Is that him?”
“Uh-huh.”
“He sounds so sad. How can that guy not care?”
“I dunno. Guess it’s easy to ignore innocent animals when you don’t have a heart.” You square your shoulders, steeling yourself for what you’re about to do. “Thanks to that loud-ass engine on his piece of shit car, I know when that asshole gets off work. He always stops at a bar on Friday nights, so he’ll be home later than usual, but we don’t have a lot of time to do this. Might not be a great idea to do it now, but…”
“But Mr. Meepers doesn’t deserve to suffer any longer. I get it.” Joshua squeezes your arm, bolstering you a little with his comforting touch. You smile at him gratefully, and he grins back before clearing his throat and turning to the window. “So. We’re gonna go out there and get him.”
“Right.”
“Right. So… how exactly are we gonna do that?”
“With some loose fence planks and these.” You reach into the pouch of your hoodie and pull out a small crinkled bag. “Mr. Meepers loves tuna treats. I toss them over the fence whenever I see him out there.”
“Of course you do,” Joshua hums, shaking his head. He loves to tease you about how soft-hearted you can be, but you’d argue he’s just as gentle and kind as you are. He simply hides it better - except when he’s around you. You’ve yet to figure out if it’s intentional or if your friendship is the chip in his armor, allowing you to see through to the real him.
“Well, Mr. Meepers doesn’t deserve to sit out there all hungry because that jerk doesn’t actually want him. All he wants is to hurt Jun.” There’s no real need to explain yourself, but you do it anyway. Joshua’s hand brushes your arm again and you inhale a calming breath. “Okay. Time’s not stopping, so let’s do this. Are you ready?”
Joshua gives you a nod. “Let’s go.”
Leaving your back door open a crack, in case you need to make a hasty retreat, the two of you set out on your mission.
Your neighborhood is typically pretty quiet this time of evening. There’s the sound of kids playing in their yard a few doors down, and the usual buzz of traffic on the main road two blocks over, but nothing loud enough to cover your footsteps as you crunch through the grass and fallen leaves lining the fence that separates your yard from your neighbor’s. The moon is already out, and a few stars dot the sky, but you still need the flashlights on your phones to give you enough light to keep from tripping over anything in your path.
Joshua insists on being the one to try to pry the boards off the fence. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to pull a few away, a fact that makes him cluck his tongue. “This is so unsafe, YN. Your landlord needs to fix this.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know…” You’ve got a whole list of breaking or broken items for the landlord to repair. It’s the effort - and, especially, the time - that it takes to call and wait around for him to show up that you don’t have. “I’ll get around to calling him someday.”
“I’m being serious,” Joshua insists, the concerned furrow of his brow evident even in the dim glow cast by his phone. “It’s not safe. What if someone gets in this way? Like a burglar? Or - or worse?”
“Well, they’ll have to get into asshole’s yard first to get to mine this way…” The odds of someone breaking into your home via this now person-sized hole in the fence are incredibly low. But you’re not going to argue about it at the moment. Not when you can hear the worry in your friend’s voice. “You’re right. I’ll call him next week. After we’ve made sure Mr. Meepers is safe with Junhui.”
“Good. It’s just… I can’t even think about what I’d do if something happened to you.”
Joshua’s look of relief is enough to send warmth flooding through your chest, but combined with his words, it has your heart launching into frantic palpitations. Quickly, you duck through the space in the fence, needing to move away from your friend for fear that he might be able to feel the fluttering. You’ve spent the better part of two years hiding your crush on your friend. No need to give yourself away now.
A bright light suddenly clicks on.
“Crap!” you gasp. In a burst of panic, you dive back towards the gap in the fence, only to find Joshua there. He lets out a surprised cry as you crash into him, knocking him flat on his back, another tiny “oof” forced from his lungs when you land on top of him. “Sorry!”
“What are yommmmph-”
“Shhhh!”
You press your hand over Joshua’s mouth and glance over your shoulder. Your neighbor’s yard is still, nothing that you can see through the hole moving except for some unkempt bushes swaying in the chilly evening air.
You sigh. “Sorry. I forgot he’s got a motion detector light. I panicked.”
Joshua hums, the brush of his lips tickling your fingers, and you remove your hand with an embarrassed laugh. Now that your fright has passed, you’re painfully aware of your current position, lying chest to chest, hip to hip on top of your best friend. His arms are locked solidly behind your back, cradling you to him as if he’s still trying to break your fall.
It’s impossible to turn away when he looks at you, even though your heart is twisting itself into knots, so filled with longing that it’s tying you up inside. The longer you gaze into his eyes, the more your heart aches.
Completely unaware of the inner turmoil you’re currently facing, Joshua grins. “Next time we steal someone’s pet in an act of righteous retribution, maybe I’ll be the one to gather the important intel first. Like motion lights.” He laughs, and you can feel it through your chest against his. Your heart twists again. “You can be the muscle, with a tackle like that.”
“Shut up,” you groan, trying to gracefully slide onto the grass beside him, without success. “I didn’t hit you that hard.”
“I don’t know, I think I’m gonna be feeling that tomorrow.” He rubs his left shoulder gingerly, but he can’t fool you. You smack his other shoulder and he gives up the bit, laughing. “Fine, fine, you’re not the muscle. But I’m definitely the brains of this team.”
“Pffft. If you’re anything, you’re the face.”
“The what?”
“You know. In a heist crew, the face.” You stand up, brushing some dry leaves from your hoodie. “The smooth talker? The one they send in to charm a target. That’s you.”
“Oh.” Joshua’s eyebrow rises as he considers your words. “Um, thank you?”
“You’re welcome. It’s a compliment.”
“Is it?” He cracks a grin when you lightly punch his shoulder again. “Sounds like a weird way to call me manipulative.”
“Don’t read into it so deep,” you state wryly. “I only meant that you’re, like, a fast thinker. And good at talking to people.” And incredibly charming. Joshua’s had you wrapped around his finger for ages. Thank god he doesn’t seem to know it. If he ever realized his true power over you, he’d be totally insufferable. And you’d still do whatever he wanted.
“Uh-huh. But if it’s all about me being good at talking, then why is it called the ‘face?’”
He would ask that.
“Um… most of the time the face is also really good-looking. It helps, y’know, to sell the lie if it’s coming from a pretty face.”
“Pretty?” His fingers fly to the bottom of his beanie again, tugging it down further. A nervous habit of his.
”Well, yeah,” you say, shrugging. “You are very pretty.”
You ride the surge of adrenaline in your veins forward and step through the hole into the yard next door before Joshua can react.
It turns out to be a blessing that your neighbor has a motion light. His backyard is an obstacle course of rusty lawn furniture, neglected plants, and overgrown tufts of weeds. Carefully, you wind your way towards the patio, only to realize that Mr. Meepers is no longer sitting there.
“Mr. Meepers?” you call out in a hushed yell. “Where’d you go?” You must’ve spooked the cat with your wild dive earlier.
“He couldn’t have gotten out of the yard, could he?”
“I don’t know. I always figured he couldn’t or he would’ve run away by now.” Taking the treats out of your pocket, you give the bag a shake. “I brought you some of your favorite num-nums!”
“Your favorite num-nums?” Joshua echoes incredulously.
“Shut up or I’ll tackle you again,” you mutter, catching his smirk out of the corner of your eye. “Here, Mr. Meepers!”
You shake the bag of treats again and a bush near the edge of the patio rustles in reply. Mr. Meepers comes striding out, tail flicking happily as he brushes against your outstretched fingers.
“Mmmrowww,” he chirps.
“Hi buddy,” you reply, scratching his ears lightly. “Here are your num-nums as promised.” Mr. Meepers nibbles on his treats as you stroke your fingers over his soft fur. “This is gonna be the last time I’ll give you these. You wanna know why? Hmm? Because we are busting you out of here and taking you home! Doesn’t that sound good?”
The cat purrs loudly, nosing at the bag in your hand, and you cave, giving him a few more treats.
“No wonder Junhui’s been so sad. You’re just the cutest little thing, aren’t you?”
“So cute.”
The words are whispered breathlessly, so quietly you’re almost not sure you heard them right. You glance up at Joshua, only to find your friend staring at you with a curious look on his face, an expression that you can’t quite name but it makes your pulse jolt regardless. You’re about to ask him if he’s okay when he suddenly straightens up, shaking his head a little.
“We, uh, we should probably not linger here,” he says, fingers clutching at his beanie.
It almost defies belief how quickly his words jinx the two of you. You’re about to pick up Mr. Meepers when you hear it - the sound of your neighbor’s front door opening.
“Fuck, he’s home!” you hiss. Fast as you can, you scoop Mr. Meepers into your arms, thankful that he trusts you enough not to fight. Joshua holds out his hand to help you up and you stumble clumsily to your feet, apologizing when you bounce off of him.
“Forget it, just go!”
Joshua’s fingers lace through yours as the two of you scramble madly towards the hole in the fence. He reaches it first, but doesn’t go through, urging you on, his hands pushing gently on your back the whole time. As soon as you’re clear, he pops through behind you.
Mr. Meepers chooses that moment to start squirming. He wiggles out of your grip somehow and drops delicately to the ground. For a split second you’re afraid he’s going to bolt through the hole, but instead he darts across your lawn and into your open door.
Before you can follow, you hear the loud creak of your neighbor’s back door opening. You and Joshua both flatten yourselves against the fence, desperate not to be seen.
“Dinner time, dummy!”
There’s a spike of anger in your anxiety. You really hate your neighbor. He doesn’t wait long for the cat to respond to his call, slamming his screen door shut a few seconds later.
A few excruciatingly long seconds after that, the light goes out. Everything is quiet again, save for your slight hyperventilating.
You blink a few times. “Oh my god, I thought we wer-”
The screen door next door opens again.
“Yo, dummy, where are you? It’s time to come in!”
Your neighbor’s head pops up over the fence as he walks out onto his patio.
Joshua grabs the rotten planks and shoves them back into place. In his race to cover up the hole, though, he’s a bit too careless, and pinches his thumb. “Shit!”
You freeze.
“Mr. Meepers?” the asshole next door calls out. “Stupid cat, what are you getting into?”
You can’t breathe. The threat of being caught now when you’re so close to victory makes your heart skip several beats in fear. Then Joshua’s gaze meets yours, and your heart positively leaps as he springs into action, pressing you against the fence.
“Just go with it,” he whispers. He doesn’t give you a chance to process his words before he’s cupping your face, and then he leans in and kisses you. It’s a little hasty, a little rushed, like desperation propels him forward. But when his hands drop to your waist, bringing the two of you closer together, you relax into one another. The kisses turn slow, lingering.
Your eyes slip shut as you breathe him in, citrus and cardamom, his cologne so warm and sweet, just like his kisses. He’s covering your body with his own like he’s shielding you. Protecting you. You could simultaneously shout for joy and cry.
“What was tha- oh - oh shit, ‘m sorry - “
Your neighbor’s voice sputters into silence, and then a few seconds later, the light goes out. Joshua keeps kissing you, arms on either side of your head, but his caresses are more playful now, teasing nudges of his nose against your cheek, tiny pecks on your lips.
“Joshua.” You speak his name intending to ask what he’s doing, but it comes out like a whine. You’re flustered and Joshua laughs, clearly enjoying it.
“I don’t think he’s looking anymore,” he deadpans, thumbs stroking your cheeks as he cups your face.
“Okay,” you reply, leaning in for another kiss. Joshua’s laughter vibrates against your mouth as you clutch at his hoodie, trying to keep him close. He manages to pull away anyway.
“We should probably get inside before the cat gets out.”
With that gentle reminder of why you’re out in your yard in the first place, the fog around your head dissipates. You look at your back door and find Mr. Meepers sitting right inside, staring at the two of you.
“Right.”Joshua’s right, but he also hasn’t let go of you, and that is seriously affecting your ability to think right now. You try to pull yourself together. “Um. Joshua.”
“Yeah?”
Countless ideas flit through your brain, the majority of them involving kissing him again.
“Thank you. For saving us. That was, um. That was good. And, it was…” You’re burning up, the back of your neck heating with a heady mix of desire and embarrassment at how you’re reacting to Joshua’s touch.
“It was what?”
“It was just… really good,” you trail off dumbly in a tiny voice.
He smirks. “Told you I was the brains.”
You feel slightly sheepish when he laughs again, but you're quickly reassured when he kisses you softly.
“C’mon,” he says, taking your hand again. “Let’s finish your mission and get Mr. Meepers back home. Then maybe I’ll show you what else I’m thinking.”

So Much For A Safe House-END
Summary: You go on a mission with 141 and end up taking shelter in an abandoned building. The place is haunted, and you are all trapped inside; creepy things are happening. (Ghost of War-inspired)
Warnings: scares, violence, weapons, monsters, first-aid stuff, lots of gore
Chapter 1: Shelter | Chapter 2: Hunter's Moon | Chapter 3: Pinnacle to the Pit | Masterlist
Ah, I can't believe this is the final part. I hope you all like it! Also, since it took me so long to finish this part, there's a small bonus at the end.
Chapter 4: See the Light
Deciding that you should all move back into the living room before anything else happens, you pack up the first aid kit and grab the discarded weapons, tactical vests, and flashlights to move them back into the living room next to the fireplace and sleep bags to be dealt with later. Heading back into the kitchen for what feels like the 100th time that night, you go to help Price carry Gaz.
Price was holding Gaz up on one side, supporting all of his body weight, waiting for your return. Moving to the other side, you place an arm around his back, allowing him to put his arm over your shoulders, effectively distributing the body weight between all of you and allowing Gaz to walk somewhat easier. Ghost was in a similar position with Soap, who could not put any pressure on his now broken ankle, hopping out of the room using Ghost as a crunch, they make their way into the living room. You, Price, and Gaz are following closely behind.
The fire was still going; however, it had dwindled a bit. Walking slowly to accommodate Gaz, you and Price set him down, helping him settle in, and the sleeping bags were set up in front of the fire. Soap is sitting on his sleeping bag, his injured ankle propped up on a makeshift cushion of a pillow and blanket, pulling out his small diary, which he always carries with him, and begins writing. Having caught a glimpse of his notebook before you figure he is probably adding notes about what has been happening here and some sketches.
Price and Ghost are busy tending to the fire, talking in hushed voices, you can barely make out bits and pieces of their conversation, something about our chances not looking good with two injured. Not wanting to stress yourself out by eavesdropping on their conversation, you busy yourself with finding a new shirt for Gaz to wear. Rummaging through the bags, you managed to find a black long-sleeve thermal shirt that belonged to either Ghost or Price judging by the size, but you figured they wouldn’t mind letting Gaz borrow it for the time being. Walking over to where Gaz was lying, staring at the ceiling, a far-off look on his face. You sit criss-cross beside him, gently taping his shoulder to gain his attention, “here, I found you a shirt.”
He turns his head to you, a small smile on his face at the gesture, “Thanks, Spark.” Reaching to grab the shirt, he pauses, “I think you will have to help me get dressed.”
Giggling, you help him slowly sit up, bunching up the shirt; you pull it over his head and slowly pull his arms one at a time through each sleeve. Once both of his arms are in the shirt, you pull it the rest of the way down to cover his stomach, being mindful of his injuries. He leans back on his elbows, careful not to pull any of his stitches, and closes his eyes before slowly sliding back down in his sleeping bag.
Static breaks the silence, causing you to jump at the sudden noise breaking the silence that had shrouded the room. The crackling coming from the long-forgotten radio gains the attention of everyone in the room. Price and Ghost are no longer talking, Gaz's head is turned towards the radio, and Soap has stopped writing in his notebook; everyone’s holding their breath, hoping that maybe it is just Laswell and that you are all about to be rescued.
“.....re……it……fire…d..”
You can barely make out the word fire from the static, causing you to instinctively glance towards the fire still burning bright. Price grabs the radio, hitting a few of the buttons, his forehead creasing in concentration. “It’s not even turned on…” You hear him mutter under his breath.
A voice from the radio cuts Price off. “It doesn’t like fire.”
Static still echoed from the radio but more quietly once the message had been spoken.
“Keep the bloody fire going then; I’ll burn this whole place to the ground if it comes to it,” exclaimed Gaz, pointing at the fireplace.
Even though the fire was still burning and did not seem as if it would be dying any time soon, Ghost still placed more of the broken chair pieces into the heart of the fire. He looks at the few remaining pieces of the chair. You realize there are not enough pieces left of the chair to keep the fire going for the remainder of the night.
You stand to your feet, announcing, “I’ll go back in the dining room and grab a couple more of the chairs for us to use.”
Receiving a nod in return, you quickly jog out of the room and back into the dining room. Moving quickly, you grab two of the small wooden chairs that were strewn around the room. Not wanting to be alone for any longer than you have to be once you have a good hold on both chairs, you go back into the living room, where it sounds like an argument was taking place in your absence.
Soap throws his hands up in the arm, his accent thick. “How do we know that it doesn’t like fire? Is that even true? What if it is just trying to trick us, we already know whatever the fuck it is can mimic voices!” His heavy breathing was all that could be heard as everyone thought about his words.
While listening to Soap’s exclamation, you placed the two chairs with the other pieces of wood, giving you a grunt of appreciation. Ghost then starts to break the chairs into more manageable pieces for the fire, creating a pile of wooden stakes.
Sitting back down next to Gaz and thinking about what Soap had said, you thought about the voice; it sounded vaguely familiar. Furrowing your eyebrows, trying to think of where you heard it before you realize it was the same voice from the beginning of the night that said, ‘It is here now.’ Now that you have time to comprehend things a little more clearly, maybe the voice wasn’t the cause of the terror, but perhaps it was actually trying to warn you about the wendigo. Still sitting next to Gaz, you turn and look at him. Making eye contact, he gives a concerned look, like he can see that you have thought of something, and he gives you a subtle nod.
Taking a deep breath, you share your thoughts, “I don’t think the voice we have been hearing on the radio is the wendigo or some sort of trick. I mean, it kind of seems like whatever it is has been warning us. Like it warned us when the creature first arrived.”
You glance around the room at everyone’s faces before continuing, “The writing in the room was probably meant to scare us from any more exploration, but that obviously didn’t work, and now, since two of us are injured and we are trapped here until the storm is over, now it tells us a way to properly defend ourselves against the wendigo.”
Once you finish, you shyly begin rubbing your shoulders, scared that others will not agree with your thoughts. Having said that, everyone seems to be in deep thought over the new information presented.
Soap gains your attention by clearing his throat, “Perhaps we should check the notebook you found again, Spark. Maybe if the voice was actually warning us, then something in the notebook could help, too.”
Out of the corner of your eye, you see the rest of the team send you both a questioning look. Price mouths ‘notebook?’ to Ghost, who just shrugs his shoulders in return.
Nodding your head, reaching into your pocket, and retrieving the once-forgotten small red notebook, Gaz peering up to see what you’re looking at. You run your hands over the raised leather of the strange symbol on the cover. Signing, you wished that you knew what the strange symbol meant since it was the same symbol that was on the key to the cellar door.
Flipping to the first page, but just like last time, you are unable to understand the scribbling on the pages; it is almost like it was written in a different language. The only things you are able to make out are the same phrases about not letting it in and someone needing help.
Realizing that the notebook is not going to be of any help if you can’t read it properly, you grow frustrated and scared with the entire situation you have all found yourselves in, and you throw the book across the room in anger.
“I’m sorry, guys, I can’t read any of this. But the pictures are for certain drawings of the wendigo, so if I knew all the words written in there, then it would be more of a help. All I can make out are the few phrases not in that weird language.” you say, pulling your knees up to your chest, resting your head on your knees, trying to seek some comfort within yourself. Gaz slowly reaches up and puts a comforting hand on your back, giving you a sympathetic pat.
The small notebook hit the wall next to the fireplace and landed next to Ghost, who had still been tending to the fire every so often. Eyeing the notebook suspiciously, he picks it up, flips it open to the middle, and lets out a small grunt.
“Of course, you can’t read it, Spark. Most of it is in Latin.”
Your head shoots up, and your gaze lands on Ghost in surprise, “Latin! What the fuck? I thought that was a dead language.”
Still looking through the notebook, Ghost replies, “Technically, but they still teach it in schools.”
Price moves over next to Ghost, looking over his shoulder, “Well, does that mean you can read it then?”
He grunts in return, “I am not an expert or anything, but I think I can probably figure out the gist of things.”
Ghost then spends the next few moments going through the notebook, trying to determine if there is any useful information in it, while the rest of you wait with bated breath for him to share his findings.
After what feels like hours, Ghost sits up straight, pointing to one of the pages in the book, looking around at everyone, “According to the notebook, the wendigo is mainly active at night, but it will still come out during the day if it knows there's prey around. It cannot be killed by regular means. So, no bullets or anything; it heals too fast. Apparently, the only way to actually kill it is by burning it with fire, like that voice said. It also mentions they have a hard time seeing still prey.”
Taking in the new information, Price slaps his hands on his thighs, “Well, now we know a way to protect ourselves: fire and no sudden movements. This new information can help us come up with a plan of attack.”
“Wait, there is something else.” Ghost speaks up, trying to decipher the small text that was written under one of the drawings of the creature feasting on something.
“it says here don't become one of them.”
What!” Soap yells, moving to stand but is stopped by his ankle, grimacing in pain, wrapping one hand around his hurt leg, slowly moving back to his previous sitting position, “What the fuck, does that mean?”
Turning the page, a similar picture can be seen, but instead, it is clearer what it is eating. The drawing is of a corpse being feasted upon by the Wendigo, with small text that could be seen at the bottom of the page.
Pointing at the picture and turning the book around so everyone can see it, Ghost says. “eating the flesh of another.”
A sinking feeling forms in the bottom of your stomach, realizing how desperate someone would have to be for food, starving on the brink of death, feeling as if you have no other choice but to resort to cannibalism, eating someone that was once a friend or family member. Shaking your thoughts away, not wanting to think about that, you refuse to believe that it will even come close to that because in a few more hours, when it is finally daylight, this storm will be over, and you can finally make contact with Head-Quarters and get the hell out of this place once and for all.
As if sensing your dark thoughts, Price speaks up, “Still, like this doesn’t change anything, we will stay here and keep the fire going.” He stands up and grabs one of the legs of the broken chairs from the pile and wraps a piece of torn cloth that was lying on the ground around one end of the stick, “if the wendigo somehow comes in, we will light a few of these on fire and kill the bastard. And once it's daylight and the storm is gone, we can call Laswell and get the hell out of here.”
Gaz leans up the best he can on one elbow, “Yes, Sir. Though honestly, she has probably already worked out where we are, and as soon as the weather clears, we will already have a helicopter ready and waiting.”
Gaz’s optimism rubs off on you as you smile in return to his wishful thinking, though knowing how meticulous Laswell is, he is more than likely correct in his assumption. The atmosphere in the room shifts to more calm at Price and Gaz’s words. Soap and Gaz both move to lie back down, shutting their eyes and finally feeling as if they can relax after their attack and constant worrying. All of the exhaustion catching up to your two teammates, the adrenaline from their near-death experience causing them to become tired quickly, and soft snores leaving them. Smiling slightly, you move Gaz’s blanket to cover him more, quietly grab your weapon, and sit next to the hastily boarded-up window to keep watch just in case.
After a while, your body becomes stiff from sitting for so long, stretching your arms and legs out and hearing the satisfying pop. Glancing out of the window, you see the moon that was once high in the sky is now at the horizon, almost disappearing completely behind the trees of the forest, letting out a sigh of relief that this nightmare is almost a horrible distant memory. Then, all of a sudden, the wendigo jumps down from above, landing right in front of you on the other side of the window. Its breath fogs up the window as it stares down at you. Gasping at the sudden encounter, you jump back, aiming your weapon at the Wendigo. Your sudden outburst and movement catch the attention of Ghost and Price, who grab a piece of burning wood and stand on either side of you in front of the window. The tension in the room was thick; sweat was forming on your brow. Everyone was watching and waiting to see who would make the first move: your team or the creature.
“What’s the bloody thing doing?” you hear one of your teammates ask, you could barely make it out of the sound of your heart pounding in your chest, feeling like you were staring death right in the face. You weren’t sure why, but it felt as if it was smiling at you.
Swallowing nervously, you whisper, “I think it is taunting us like it is trying to wait us out.”
As soon as the words leave your mouth, the creature lets out a laugh. It was your laugh. The creature was using your own voice to torment you. You all watch as it raises its gnarled, bony finger and taps on the glass, pointing to where your two injured teammates lay blissfully unaware of the impending danger. Its yellow eyes move back, staring directly at you like it can see right into your soul. Its mouth opens once again, using your voice, “Two of us are injured. We are trapped here.”
Feeling as if you can no longer breathe, you drop to your knees, resting one hand on the ground, keeping you from face-planting, your other hand placed on your chest, feeling the rapid beating of your heart and the quick rising and falling of your chest and you struggle to catch your breath. Tears flowed freely from your eyes, the burning in your throat causing you to let out pained gasps for breath. Feeling someone kneeling at your side, pulling you into them, your face pressed against their chest, feeling the slow and deep breaths they were taking, the rumbling of their chest as they speak slowly to you.
“Come on, Spark. That’s it, nice and slow, match my breathing.”
When you are no longer fighting to breathe, and it doesn’t feel like your lungs are about to explode, do you slowly move away from the person holding you. Wiping the tears that were still present on your face away, you look up to see Price’s comforting face beside you, one arm still on your back.
“All better now, Spark?” his voice soft and comforting.
Nodding your head in response, “Yes, Sir. I..I am sorry. It just was using my voice….The Wendigo?!!?” realizing that in the chaos of your panic attack, you forgot all about the reason for it. Quickly looking back to the window, you no longer see the wendigo glowering in the window frame, just the snowy forest.
“It disappeared as soon as you fell on your knees. I think you were right about it wanting to taunt us.” said Ghost
You glance towards Ghost, who is still standing at your side. He was now holding Price’s fire stick from when he handed it off to Ghost to comfort you. Not wanting to burn the whole house down and force you all to take your chances outside, Ghost turns back to place the two burning sticks back into the fire. Patting your back twice, Price motions for you to follow. Grabbing your discarded weapon, you join them, standing in front of the fire. Ghost stands with his arms crossed, waiting for Price to share the next course of action. Price’s hands are holding on to the straps of his tactical vest, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet, something you noticed he only does when he is really stressed.
He glances at your two injured teammates and lets out a heavy sigh. “I am going to be honest with both of you; it is not looking good for us. I know that daylight is a mere two hours away at this point, but we have to keep in mind even when the storm is behind us, it is going to be near impossible to get everybody to the evac point if we have this creature to worry about. We will be sitting ducks out there in the open, and I think it knows that.”
Rubbing his temples, trying to come up with a way somehow to carry Soap and Gaz through the thick snow, keep a constant lookout, and make it to the evac point in one piece, looking more and more impossible by the passing seconds.
Ghost, who had remained silent pretty much this whole time, speaks up. “Well, then, we just need to kill the damn thing.” You turned and stared at him like he just grew three heads because if it was that simple, then surely whoever was here before all of you would have done it, especially since they figured out that fire could kill it.
Unsurprisingly, in all the commotion, Soap had woken up; deciding that now would be a good time to share his thoughts, he spoke up, “I think that sorry bastard lives down there in that cellar. That is probably why it went berserk when we went down there in the first place. Maybe if we go down there and catch it by surprise, we can kill it once and for all.”
You finally register that Soap is talking about someone going back down into that thing's hideout and just hoping for the best while they try and light the stupid thing on fire. Looking around at the group, expecting Price, at the very least, to oppose the idea of sending someone to their death, but instead, you see him actively contemplating the idea.
Throwing your hands up in the air in defeat, “Ah fuck it! What’s the plan? How would I even kill the fucker, once I am down there?”
“Well, Spark, I am glad to see you so willing to help, but don’t worry, it won’t be just you going down there. Ghost will be going, too.”
Price grabs his backpack lying on the ground, rummaging around in it until he finds what he is looking for. He pulls out a small can of lighter fluid and tosses it at Ghost, who immediately catches it with ease.
“Always carry that with me after my lighter ran out one time on a mission; I thought I was going through withdrawals without my cigars. It was not a fun time for me.” Price reaches his pocket and pulls out a lighter, sighing and handing it to Ghost as well. “Alright, when you both go down there, find the thing, cover him in lighter fluid, and light that son of a bitch up.”
“Simple but an effective plan, Captain. I hope it works,” you mumble.
“Of course it will. Spark got my two best soldiers on the mission.” “HEY,” Soap yells, ignoring his outburst. Price continues, “While you and Ghost are down there, I will be up here watching after these two, making sure nothing happens, just in case.”
Rolling your shoulders and popping your neck, you and Ghost remove your tactical vests to go down into the pit. Ghost then squats down and uses the materials Price gave to him to create some kind of Molotov-like device. Once complete, he stands back up and places it into a pocket on the side of his pants for safekeeping.
When he sees you staring at the contraption he put together, Ghost just simply grunts in reply, “Guerrilla warfare.”
While you both prepare yourselves for this risky mission, Soap speaks up, “Even though things went to shite down there earlier, I think we managed to learn where it stays, so just go straight out from the ladder when you get down there, keep going for about a click and then you should find it. Good luck, guys.”
Listening to Soap’s advice, you both continue preparing, riding yourself off all the bulky padding of your uniform that might interfere with entering the small opening of the cellar door. Though you make sure to keep your knife and handgun strapped around your thigh, knowing that even if it won’t kill the wendigo, it could still be used to help subdue the creature. You unclip the tactical flashlights off your gun while Ghost grabs one of the hand-made torches from the broken chair. Once everything is secure, you both nod your heads in farewell towards Soap and Price and make your way back into the kitchen towards the creature's hideout.
Entering the kitchen, you walk towards where the key sits on the floor after being thrown around the room in a panic when you were trying to save your teammates from the creature's clutches. Picking up the key, the cold metal feels heavy in your grasp. You walk to where Ghost is waiting for you next to the entrance to the cellar door, kneeling down you slide the key into the lock and pause, a million thoughts racing through your mind: what if once you turn the key and open the door, it is waiting for you and grabs you, what if the creature knows of your plan and is waiting for you and Ghost to go down into the cellar and then he attacks your injured teammates upstairs then goes back down to finish the job, what if-
Ghost's voice breaks through your panicked thoughts, “It is going to be ok. We can do this.” Even though his face is covered by his mask, you see his eyes crinkle, indicating that he is smiling at you and trying to make you feel better about the whole situation.
“Right.” you move the key, hearing the quiet click of it, unlocking the heavy cellar doors. You and Ghost both grab opposite sides of the door and, with a grunt, opening the door and leaving it to rest against the wall once again. Immediately, shining your flashlight down into the pit for any signs of the creature at the bottom. Not seeing anything, Ghost moves to squeeze through the narrow opening, the torch held carefully in one hand as he slowly made his way down. Once he is a few steps down, you follow suit, positioning yourself on the ladder, and slowly make your way through the opening, feeling claustrophobic as you descend into the cold, metallic darkness.
The only thing that can be heard is the sound of the ladder groaning in protest at the added weight of people going down. The closer you got to the bottom, the more it felt like all the heat was leaving your body, the freezing air piercing your body, making all the hair on your body stand on end, putting you even more on edge. Ghost feet hitting the pavement of the cellar echo throughout the darkness; he steps over, giving you room to hop off the ladder. Stepping off the ladder, you remove the flashlight from where you held it in your mouth and unhook the handgun from the holster on your thigh. Holding the gun in front of you with one hand while supporting it with your other hand, holding the flashlight underneath, your arms outstretched in front of you, ready for whatever might be awaiting down here for you.
Ghost was in a similar position; the strange contraption he made earlier could be seen in one of the many pockets on his pants. Silently, he motions for you to follow him, clicking off your flashlight using only the light from the torch as a guide and falling into step behind him. You snap into your mission mindset, not allowing for any other thoughts to distract you. Ghost kept walking straight out from the ladder as per Soap’s instruction. After you had been walking for about five minutes, a horrible smell filled your nostrils, like rotting flesh and blood. He moves the torch a little more forward around to try and find the source of the terrible stench; you see a trail of dried blood stained on the ground. Ghost slowly follows the trial. Gagging, you cover your nose at the sight of a huge pile of rotting animal carcasses, flies, maggots, and other insects swarming over the pile of viscera.
Regaining your senses, you choked down the bile that rose in your throat and kept moving forward with Ghost, hoping to find the source of all this carnage. Amongst the sound of the swarming insects, you hear the sounds of flesh tearing and eating. Ghost jerked his head towards the source of the sound; the Wendigo was hunched over, ripping into the corpse of what used to be an elk. It was holding the creature in the air, using its razor-sharp teeth to tear into the dead animal's flesh, causing blood and who knows what else to go everywhere onto the floor.
Slowly putting his handgun back into the holster on his hip but leaving it unbuttoned for easy access, he reaches into his pocket. Ghost retrieves the Molotov-like device carefully so as not to make any noise while the creature is distracted enjoying his breakfast. Keeping your gun aimed at the creature, Ghost rears his arm back and throws the Molotov. Time seems to move in slow motion as you watch it fly through the air; holding your breath, it hits the creature on its head, causing the can to burst, spewing the liquid all over it and setting fire to its body.
The creature throws the elk corpse and begins screeching in pain, and the flames consume its body. It starts flailing its arms frantically, trying to put out the fire to no avail. Amongst its pain, it catches sight of you moving backward, lunging for you; it grabs ahold of you, knocking the gun and flashlight out of your hands and lifting you into the air. You scream for help. The flames from the creature are spreading, making its way towards you. Your arms are pinned to your sides because of the grasp the creature has on you; you’re unable to move them. Trying to use your legs to kick yourself free but it is no use. It is too strong; feeling the creature begin to use its strength to squeeze you, you let out another antagonizing scream, trying to look for Ghost but being unable to spot him; the only thing you can see is the Wendigo’s burning flesh.
Fearing for the worst, ready to give up, the torch Ghost was carrying is stabbed into the Wendigo’s face right into its eye socket. The wendigo throws you down, screeching, bringing both hands to try and claw out the burning torch embedded in its face. Expecting to land on the hard, cold ground, you brace yourself for the impact only to land in the midst of the pile of rotting flesh, effectively breaking your fall but also covering you in the entrails of the dead animals. You can feel the blood seep into your clothes, sticking to your skin, trying to climb your way out of the pile of gore. A hand emerges from the darkness, pulling you to your feet. “Let’s go now!” Ghost yells at you over the horrible sounds the Wendigo is making. Wiping the blood from your eyes the best you could, you see Ghost pick up your flashlight and gun; you don’t think you have ever been so happy to see him in your life.
You both run back towards the ladder, not wanting to spend any longer down here with the burning Wendigo than needed. Once you reach the ladder, Ghost pushes you to go first; climbing up the ladder as fast as you can was made a little difficult due to the blood covering you from head to toe, causing you to slip every once in a while, though Ghost was there to catch you every step of the way. Finally, you reach the opening, letting out a breath of relief. You squeeze back out of the cellar door, moving to help pull Ghost out, grabbing under his armpit and dragging him out. Once you were both out of the hellhole, you grab the door and slam it shut, locking the door for the final time and falling back onto the floor. Ghost was sprawled out beside you, breathing heavily.
Being back upstairs, you see the sunlight peeking in from outside through the busted windows and cracks in the house; you feel the pain, fear, and anxiety leave your body at the sight you all made it to morning. After catching your breath, Ghost stands up and extends his arm out to help you up, “damn, Spark. You should just probably plan on burning your clothes.”
Looking down at your outfits, covered in blood and god knows what else, you laugh, “yea, I think that is for the best. Thank you for saving me.” you reply, looking back into Ghost eyes that have a fondness in them. Instead of replying, he just jerks his head towards the living room, where the others are waiting.
Slowly trudging back into the room, hearing the others converse quietly amongst themselves, realizing that you can hear Laswell's voices, knowing that means they were able to get into contact with her while you and Ghost were down in the cellar. Once you step into the room, all eyes snap towards your form, and all conversations stop. “Bloody hell, what happened to you!?” exclaimed Gaz, his eyes wide looking at your bloody form.
Shrugging your shoulder, grinning wildly, you reply, “Oh, nothing much. Just killing a fucking Wendigo!”
Gaz and Soap cheer in response while you hear Price chuckling. Walking back to where you left your tactical vest and other gear, you begin to put them back on and where they go amongst your armor, seeing Ghost do the same out of the corner of your eye.
Price, who was holding the radio, shakes it in the air, “Well, I am glad you are both back up here safe. While you were both down there, we were able to get through to Laswell, and Nikolai was on his way to pick us up. The rendezvous point is about half a mile from here, so if we leave now, we will be able to make it in time.”Price is now standing in front of you and Ghost, hands on his hips, staring at you both like a proud dad.
Gaz slowly moves to sit up, his left hand holding onto his stomach where the stitches are, trying to be as careful as possible not to pop any of them. “Thank God! I can’t wait till this is all a horrible nightmare.”
Nodding in agreement, you help Ghost pack up all the equipment quickly, putting the sleeping mats, blankets, and small pillows back in their appropriate bags. Looking around at how quickly you all managed to get everything packed up and ready to go, you think this might honestly be a new personal best for your team. Picking up and handing everyone their prospective weapons, you move to help Gaz walk, but before you can wrap your arms around him, he stops you, “Um...Spark. No offense, but you really stink. I think it would be best if you just let Price help me.”
Price, who had already had one arm wrapped around Gaz’s middle, handed you the radio, “Here, you can be in charge of this and keep watch then until we get back to base and can hose you down.”
Grabbing the radio from Price, you nod your head in agreement, smiling at them both, “Haha, fair enough.”
Ghost has Soap in the fireman’s carry, much to Soap’s dismay; laughing as you make your way to the front door, leading the way for everyone, you call out over your shoulder, “Isn’t he too heavy to hold like that Ghost?”
“No”
You all make your way out of the dilapidated house and out into the forest; looking down into the bright snow on the ground, you pause in your steps, kneeling down and collecting a handful of snow and rubbing it over your face to try and clean some of the blood off. Standing back up, you step over the now blood-red snow. After walking in silence most of the way, you hear the familiar sound of Nikolai’s helicopter blades; stepping into the clearing, you see him waiting, leaning up against the helicopter, smoking a cigarette.
“Finally, I was beginning to think I would have to leave your asses here.” He states, and he pushes himself off the helicopter, walking towards Price, shaking each other's hands while Nikolia claps him on the back in familiarity. Ghost slides Soap off his shoulder and onto the closest seat in the helicopter; Soap's face is pale, and he looks a little motion sickness from the long trek here.
Nikolia walks back up to the front of the helicopter and opens the door, moving into the pilot sea,t waiting for everyone to get situated before taking off. Price helps Gaz step up into a seat, carefully buckling him in the seat and placing a pair of headphones over his ears. Seeing everyone else has found a seat, you grab ahold of the bar to pull yourself inside when a noise from behind you makes you pause; turning around, you glance at your surroundings; not seeing anything, you shrug your shoulders and continue climbing on board. Horrific screeching makes your blood run cold, whipping around, you see the badly burned Wendigo running awkwardly towards you, a terrifying look in its yellow eyes.
Screaming, you fall back onto the floor of the helicopter, everyone yelling different things. Ghost beings shooting at the creature, trying to hit its legs to stop its ascent upon you all, but all it does is cause it to stumble and beings clawing its way forward. Frozen in fear, all you could think about was how close you all were to escaping from the Wendigo, when the front door of the helicopter opened. Nikolai throws a Molotov at the Wendigo, effectively killing it, its burning body collapsing onto the snowy ground, the screeching stopping.
Sitting back in his seat, Nikolai mutters under his breath, “I fucking hate Wendigos, they are such a pain.”
Still in shock at what just happened, everyone silently moves back into their seats, buckles in, and places the headphones over their ears as Ghost shuts the door and Nikolai takes off.
Leaning back in your seat, you look around at all your teammates' faces. You are just glad that everyone is still alive, with just some minor injuries, after everything that you all just went through. Smiling wickedly, you let out a cackle, causing everyone to turn and look at you. “Well, So Much for a Safe House, huh.”
----------
Bonus:
Laswell stands at the front of the hospital room, looking angry and awaiting an explanation from someone, anyone. Soap, you, and Gaz all lay in beds in front of her, listening to the constant beeping of the machines you are all hooked up to. Soap ended up having to have surgery on his ankle to fix the damage done to the bones. He had to have several screws and plates placed in his ankle, which now is wrapped in a cast, propped up on a mountain of pillows. Luckily, Gaz did not have to have any surgery, though they did redo his stitches across his chest, and they properly cleaned his wounds before rewrapping them in gauze. Though they did find out that he did have a minor concussion, which makes you a little nervous since he did take quite a few naps between getting the concussion and now, but the doctors say he will be just fine. It turns out you had gotten pretty injured, too, from your scuffle with the creature in the cellar. Both your arms had suspicious-looking bruises, and your ribs ended up being broken and close to puncturing your lungs. The doctors were shocked that you were even still standing in the state you were in. They fixed the damage the best they could with surgery and now have you under strict rules about moving too much, not that you could anyway, with the amount of bandages they have you wrapped in and machines hooked up to you.
Price and Ghost, although they were not hurt, were still in the room as well, coming to visit you all at least once throughout the day. They were sitting in hospital chairs next to your beds, looking anywhere but Laswell, who now stands with her arms crossed, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“So, you all mean to tell me. You don’t know what happened to cause three of you to end up in the hospital with varying injuries.”
Price looks at Laswell and leans back in his chair, “You wouldn’t believe us if we told you.”

Can I get sonic, knuckles, or shadow trying to help reader dealing with an ed like annawrecksya or bullymia. Fan of either romantic or platonic <3
Precis: knuckles, sonic and shadow with a reader who has an ed (seperate) can be read as both platonic or romantic
Warnings: ED, anorexia, mentions of puking, hurt/comfort, Sonic feeling so guilty he starts to take mental hits, lowkey that happens with most of them but I won't spoiler
Notes: in the psychiatric hospital my roommate taught me unhealthy ways to lose weight like making yourself puke with a toothbrush or even puking up meds to not gain weight since usually in the hospital everyone gained weight and became a victim of this. Guys I swear I can write angst trust 🙏 also might of yapped a bit too much sry for the delay to the other requesters heh cuz I usually go from first to last request until the first one is finished!! Also yapped a bit too much with sonic heh I decided to only go with anorexia because that's what I know better but maybe I'll make one with bulimia if y'all want

Sonic (anorexia part)
Sonic is already pretty skinny (as everyone can see) , he's gotten many compliments and weird comments about it before. It never bothered him. He likes himself and how fit his body is, he doesn't see a reason why people would hate their body. That all changed when he met you, the moment he looked at you, he could tell something was off. You rarely ate and would always immediately go to the bathroom after, only coming back with somewhat shaking legs, your breath smelled like puke, and your eyes looked lifeless. It made him so sad knowing that's how you valued your health, purely based on how your body looks.
Sonic made sure to check that you've eaten your food, and stayed with you for the next few hours so you didn't have any way to puke it put, even if that didn't work most of the time. Sonic knew you could excessively exercise after, or even starve yourself for days if you so please. He knew there we're ways to prevent it, but damage was already done, Sonic tried talking to you, getting you to a hospital, therapy, ANYTHING to help you. Yet for some reason he never truly saw the happy image of you he used to have. You'd drink water and put on more layers when getting your weight taken, openly reassuring him everything is fine and twisting his words to make it seem like he's overreacting. He knew this was a hard thing to avoid, he couldn't just avoid his precious loved ones treating themself so bad! It felt like he was hearing the world on his shoulders. His world; you.
Sonic slowly started withdrawing himself from his friends and other events, he started hanging out more with you to make sure you were eating properly. Sonic would sometimes withdraw or act off when going on a mission and this is basically like a mission to rescue you! That was always his excuse when he spent countless nights thinking of you and going back to friends, he felt so guilty leaving you all alone to fend anorexia alone. He wasn't going to let you live like this, that's a promise. Sonic felt tired after weeks and weeks of getting his concerns dismissed; "she gained 2 kg when we checked last week! She might need to cut, haha" "didn't you see how bloated she was? That's because she's eating more food" he knew those were lies, water can easily pass and help weight loss while making most bloated from lots of water, he knew you could put on socks and extra layers to 'gain more' when getting weighed. Sonic started hiding your pills like fat Blocker to help you gain more weight, instead he replaces them with iron pills
He started seeing real differences, so did you. You knew you would blow your cover if you said anything, sonic knew that too, he backed you into a corner (with kabedon 👅) so there wasn't anywhere to run, you wouldn't be able to outrun him anyway. He will always find a way to help you. He was determined, he won't give up! No matter what pills he has to replace, what methods he has to use to talk to you, he will help you!
Knuckles
With the mountain of version of knuckles it's hard to find common ground but I tried to go in the middle of them all
When knuckles first met you, he saw you as a happy and healthy person, but slowly. Something shifted, he noticed your weird behavior when going out to eat, how everything always in your home looked full; food expiring/never running out. He thought it was odd that foods, especially snacks, were always there. It worried him beyond comprehension. Knuckles is already pretty muscular and happy with his body so why can't you be? It worries him that you have to deal with these kind of thoughts
Knuckles trying to talk with you, wanting to get you to eat more. It had some lasting effects for a week... Or maybe not-? He would hear you making yourself puke each time after eating, it made him sick, sad, betrayed. It all felt like a roller coaster of emotions that he couldn't escape, he tried distancing yourself. It's better for me! Is what he thought to himself, but he realized; he's hurting you more if he just leaves you to deal with it all, the guilt ate him. So he started subtly pushing back into your life.
When he did push back inside, he noticed how broken you seen. You haven't been taking care of yourself, you've dropped many kilos, your body looked so broken and he could tell you felt the exact same way. Knuckles knew this was not healthy, he felt every bone in his body go limp, he couldn't break down now and he knew it! He had to help you! It was just a time race at this point to get you to be healthy again, a healthy weight, healthy diet, and knuckles wasn't going to give up
Shadow
We all know Shadow is a loner, he hasn't met many people in general so seeing an anorexic one was surprising and concerning to him. Under the presumption you two already built a relationship (platonic or Romantic doesn't matter) Shadow knew what he was signing up for when being friends with you, he knew you could starve yourself to death any second, the thought made shivers run down his spine every single time. He didn't want to lose another. He won't let you die. In my head, I'd see Shadow be extremely difficult, protective, overbearing, and much more! He won't let you have privacy because he wants to ensure your safety, no matter how much you communicate with him, it won't help his thoughts ease up
Shadow isn't gonna get crushed that easy, he isn't a communicator and he certainly won't try in this scenario... Until he realizes just how uncomfortable you are, you won't shower, dress, eat or anything really when he's near, he slowly realizes just how uncomfortable he makes you. That's when he truly eases up, going to sonic and the gang for help to find ways to correctly help his loved one! That's when he gives you more privacy, trying to communicate (surprisingly) making sure you have a nice filling meal prepared and more stuff that should help promote eating
I know this is probably annoying, but he bans you watching movies or series that have even a glimpse of an ED. He doesn't want you seeing it on TV or anywhere else, no insecurities, no movies that make fun of insecure people! He might loosen up sometimes when he sees you watching it without any problems, but otherwise. You're always going to be in good care with him

Hello! I see that you really like writing to bi-han and he is the one who gives you the most inspiration 👀
What would happen if one day the enemy kidnapped bi-han's little son or daughter? like the mission to rescue Jack in Red Dead Redemption 2, that's where I came up with this, although if you decide to write it, you can do it however you want ^^
Is a really good idea 😀 I played RdR2 so i like this idea 🥰
How Bi han will react if a Enemy kidnapp his son/daughter

You were playing with your son/daughter in your room, your baby was already 3 years old and could say a few words, short ones.
Your husband was in a meeting with Lord Liu Kang. But he had left you safe with some members of the Linkueis.
Or so he thought... Everything was going well, until in the distance you could hear screams and sounds of swords. Your heart raced... You knew something was wrong, so the first thing you did was to take your baby and look at all the possible places to escape, however they would all inevitably lead to the enemy, so you chose to hide him/her in the closet making signs to him /her not to make noises as much as possible, as if a baby for his age could understand, however it was the best you could do, once that was done you went to look for a dagger that your husband gave you.
You had trained a in your free time with the Lin Kuei, would it be enough for this situation? You asked yourself.
As soon as you felt the door open you saw your enemies, you faced them and you defeated some with all your strength, which you didn't even know you had, it could be the adrenaline of saving your son/daughter.
However, it wasn't enough... you were greatly outnumbered and you were hit hard in the head, the pressure rising to your head as you felt the blood rush down your forehead.
The last thing you could see was them approaching the closet, it seemed like your baby was starting to say mommy.Your body felt like a bucket of cold water
"No" "Take me please" - You begged him with your last breath.
Despite that, they had no mercy on you and dealt you one last blow that caused you to faint...
You woke up listen to angry screams demanding "find them." You knew who it was.
From your point of view you could see some familiar shoes, you felt relief for a few seconds, then despair for your baby, you knew he/she was gone.
-Wife- Your husband said, more worried than ever, as he lifted you in his arms, you were still on the ground, it was the first time you heard him say it like that.
-What happened?- Bi Han said as he put his hands on your wounds.
-They took him/her away.- You said barely with a trembling voice, your tears coming out uncontrollably.
You saw how your husband's gaze froze, how to describe it, it was a mixture of shock, fury and concern.
"I couldn't protect him/her" "Please save him/her" "I don't know what I'll do if he/she dies", You said through tears
While your husband put your head on his neck. You can hear him giving orders while holding you in his arms. At that you could hear him say "There will be no mercy"
When he took you to the doctor, he laid you down on the stretcher and then he was quickly leaving.
However, you took his hand before he left.
-My love, please promise me that you two will come back safely, he/she need us.- You begged weakly.
-I will return with our son/daughter.-He said stoically, then he caressed your hand a little and nodded to leave.
When he left, all you had left to do was ask the universe for your husband to come back to your little life soon.
"How is your baby? "She/He's probably crying, She/he's probably hungry, "she/he maybe want to sleep." "He/she needs me"
You thought anxiously, you just want to have him in your arms.
*In the mision*
The air was chilly, and the full moon illuminated the snow-capped mountains surrounding the Lin Kuei's ancestral temple. Amidst this vast solitude, three figures advanced with deadly precision, their feet barely leaving a footprint in the snow. They were the Lin Kuei brothers.
Sub-Zero led the way the coldness in his eyes didn't come from his skill alone. His son/daughter had been kidnapped by the ruthless Black Dragon and he would stop at nothing to get him/her back. The message had arrived at the Lin Kuei temple the night before, a scroll with the seal of the Dragon.
They demanded that Bi-Han present himself at the Black Dragon Temple alone if he wanted to see his son/Daughter alive again. But Bi-Han was not willing to comply with their conditions. This time, he would not be alone.
-We won't let them kill him/her, brother, they act without honor.-Kuai Liang said, his voice barely a whisper in the cold night. If anything happens to YBN(your baby name) they will have no mercy.
Bi-Han didn't answer. His thoughts were with his son, the cryomancer knew he had to remain calm. The anger could cloud his judgment, and this time, he couldn't afford to make any mistakes.
He never says it, but his son/daughter was the reason he lived with his wife, the only spark of light in his world. Bihan had sworn to protect his son at any cost. But tonight, that oath would be tested in ways he had never imagined.
As they reached the entrance to the Black Dragon Temple, the air grew heavier, charged with tension. Guards were posted everywhere, but to the Lin Kuei, they were nothing more than insignificant obstacles. Without needing words, the three brothers scattered, each moving with the deadly precision that only years of training could grant.
Bi-Han moved forward first, his presence unleashing a wave of cold that froze the ground beneath his feet. In one fluid motion, he unleashed a blast of ice that engulfed the nearest guards, rendering them immobile and vulnerable.
From the shadows, Smoke appeared behind another group of enemies, his hands materializing from the mist to eliminate his adversaries before they could even scream.
Kuai Liang, meanwhile, moved like a spectre wreathed in flames. His attacks were swift, devastating, leaving a trail of ash in their wake.
Finally, they reached the center of the temple. There, was his son/daughter bound and surrounded by a circle of Black Dragon warriors his baby was crying. For the cryomancer that image froze his blood, seeing his son/daughter like that, he already had his objective clear, there would be no mercy.
In the center, leading his men, was Kano, the brutal leader, a man with a fearsome reputation and a particular hatred for the Lin Kuei.
-Bi-Han-Kano said, his voice echoing in the chamber. -“I knew you would come, but I did not expect you to bring company. This will be interesting.”
-Release my son/Daughter, Kano,”- The criomancer said, his voice containing the fury of a thousand winters. -"O there will be no mercy”
Kano let out a cold laugh.
-You think you can bully me? This child is the price you pay for your clan’s interference in my affairs. But if you wish to take him, I will give it to you at a very high price”.-Said the Black Dragon leader
The Black Dragon had signed his sentence.
-This will end with your cold corpse.- The Grand Master sentenced
The battle that followed was swift and brutal. The Lin Kuei attacked as one, a storm of ice, mist, and fire that swept through the Black Dragon’s defenses. Kano fought with the force of desperation, but it was clear that neither he nor his men were a match for the Lin Kuei brothers.
Amidst the chaos, Kuai Liang reached YBN With one swift movement, he freed his niece/nephew from his bonds.
As the last of the Black Dragon warriors fell, the temple fell silent, broken only by the crackling of the flames Kuai Liang had unleashed.
Kano, wounded and defeated, knelt before Bi-Han, knowing his end was near.
-Your death was inevitable-The Grandmaster said, cutting off his head
When he approached his brothers he asked
-Are you unhurt?.-The cryomancer asked, his gaze fixed on his baby.
-We are brother and YBN is fine, he/she has no injuries.- The pyromancer saidwhile carrying the child.
The cryomancer looked at his son /daugter and put his hand on his head, His gaze remained fixed on YBN, searching for any sign that he was hurt. But the child seemed unharmed, at least physically. then let out a sigh of relief.
- Well, for now we have finished our mission, we must return immediately.-Bi Han said stoically while caressing the hair of his blood
*In the moorning*
You were anxious, you hadn't taken your eyes off him all night, only a day had passed without your baby, but it seemed like weeks.
Until you finally saw the Lin Kuei doors open. You just knew it, and you ran desperately and somewhat clumsily because of your head injury to where your husband and son/daughter were.
When you arrived you could see that beautiful image that you had been decreeing. Your husband arrived victorious with your son/daughter in his arms, next to him were his brothers
Without thinking twice you ran to your baby and covered him with kisses then you took him/her in your arms "Calm down, mommy is here"
-Be careful wife... Remember that you are convalescing- Said the Grandmaster while putting his hand on your waist to straighten you up.
Then you smiled at your husband, caressed his cheek and kissed him.
-Thank you my love...I expected nothing less from you.-You told him happily as you continued to caress his cheek.
Then you thanked the brothers who risked their lives for their nephew/niece.
At night when you were going to bed, you made some space for the baby, you wanted the three of you to sleep together. Bi Han didn't refuse after everything that had happened.
You were there with your son/daughter appreciating him.
-I can't imagine my life without him- You said while you had your hand on his belly
-Me neither- said the cryomancer staring at his blood
-That's why we will make him a good warrior- Said Bi han while caresing the head of YBN
-Just try not to be so demanding with him.-You said
He just let out a growl.
-It's not the first time you've told me that wife.- He said tiredly.-As you wish.
You smiled and kissed him.
-I love you with all my life.- You told him.
He looked at you with a small smile of satisfaction, he just nodded, but you knew it was his way of saying "me too"
After all, he had already proven his worth to you.
