Just like Arin, did Leo lose his parents in the merge or was he an orphan from the start?

Nope, Leo's parents are alive and well. They live close to the Crossroads. Leo used to live with them, but he made a habit of leaving home often, usually to work on/sell his art. It's normal for him to be away from home for a while, so his parents weren't too worried that he hasn't come home after joining the ninja. He does also stay in contact with them, so there's even less reason for them to be worried. His parents don't know that he's a ninja or an elemental master though, Leo hasn't brought that up yet.

April's drawings and doodles!! Get ready! 🎉🌟

At first, I was gonna draw ARG tangled in some rope, but then the rope looked like a ribbon, so I made Gangle into a monster instead. Also, I drew two of the most underated cats from Warriors ever, especially Lionheart.

(I started this first but finished it second). Drawings of certain characters cause their birthdays this month, except for Colin his birthday is at the end of March. I just forgot to draw him. I just love how Cody, Popee, and Waluigi share the same birthday, tho. 🎉

I was writing a story with these six, inspired by The New Prophecy. But I haven't written it in some time. Idk if I'll ever continue it. I don't think I'll post it anywhere, either. Probably.

The next two drawings I started a month or so ago but didn't finish until this month.

Took quite a while to finish, but I'm glad I did. Idk where this takes place yet, but it is a scene from that crossover I keep thinking about but never really writing down.

Either takes place before or after the drawing above it, I don't really remember. What I do know, tho is that I drew these drawings because idk I just felt like Adam would have interesting interactions with some other characters.

I rushed this at the end. I did not want to leave it out. I want a clean slate next month. God damn it. I love crossovers, how bout you?

Characters who die in canon that end up in the place (idk what to call it) keep being in the clothing that they died in. (Rip Ram and Kurt from Heathers: the Musical). (Spoilers warning if needed) So Adam is stuck with his robe he wore during the war with Charlie and the others from the hotel.

Also, about the 3rd drawing, like I said, it's an idea I had that, yes, takes place in the same crossover thing I think about. The colors in the background of each kiddo are involved in it, too.

The first two drawings are pretty much just some random doodles (idk what to do with the one with ARG and monster Gangle) while the other three kinda have stories to them that may or may not be written or animated on someday. (God, I hope that last sentence made sense).

Oh, and Bluey, Bingo and their cousins got to visit the Cul-De-Sac cause of a reason that's also in the multifandom/crossover I think about, I don't know if I should explain it or not. Meh.

BTW I've tried to match the original art styles of everything before, but this time, I've taken some steps forward. The hardest thing to figure out is the claynimated ones like Orel, Clay, and Claire. But I managed (for now, probably).

Edit: i went back and fixed it, I feel so much better about it now.

I even tried to have it seem like Bluey and others are slowly transitioning to the EEnE art style a bit.

we both know that I usually prefer to draw the reader fem, but If i, someday, decide to draw them male or just gn, I think I would still insist in something different from the usual

idk, for male I would probably draw them in more fem styled clothing, throw some pink around and poke at skirts and maybe some dresses-shirts, If i feel daring (which I prob would, y'know, with the whole male-reader-drawing thingy)

for gn, I would probably just draw them in mandrake male, firstly because the style is comfortable, both to draw and to wear, and secondly because it is a subculture of the country where I live, which makes me more happy to draw it

yeah, I could still see them envolving into goth, maybe romantic goth while we're at It, but wouldn't It just be funnier If It didn't?

i want to ramble and prattle about this so hard and give it a super long answer but!!! SPOILERS for my upcoming post on vampire! reader’s fashion i’m afraid.

vampire! reader's overall style holds a place dear to my hear, and is also relevant to the fic!

i'm not gonna lie, i envision vampire! reader to be more on the hyperfeminine side of things. pre-vampire-embrace she already wore exclusively black (with pops of white), shades of grey and a daring burgundy here and there, and i decided on those colors mostly to match her somber/modest/elegant choices when it comes to clothing and to match the wayne and, overall, just gotham's aesthetic. even as vampire! reader grows out of her dolly-like clothes, she was pretty much raised on designer and that's pretty much what she wears and will continue to wear. as in, new dior spring/summer collection just dropped? gotham's local store already has it ready for her to pick up. it comes naturally to her, it's just how alfred/bruce (mostly alfred) raised her.

also, spoiler: she feels like dressing on old-timey, vintage outfits makes her feel closer to her grandma. this also thanks to alfred's influence, who gave her access to martha wayne's wardrobe. she does enjoy wearing her grandma's old clothes. not the pearls, though.

considering her clan (👀), it's very fitting.

however!!!

i do find the idea of an alternative vampire! reader very interesting and fun to play around with, giving her (or him. or them) different personalities, reactions and upbringings which will lead her to be more suitable to different vampire clans. stereotypical, yeah, but a punk or cybergoth vampire! reader would make a great brujah or gangrel. gyaru or lolita! vampire reader could be a toreador or a malkavian. she grows out of her frilly socks and petitcoats and really finds herself in alternative styles.

now with our current vampire! reader's style transition, i'll save that for that one (amazing) ask to really yap about that.

and honestly? i don't believe the clothes themselves would really make the batfam scream cry and throw up (with the exception of alfred, but he'll get over it). it might make bruce and dick side-eye her a bit, but jason would find vampire! reader's mandrake/punk hair awesome. steph would be in love with gyaru/lolita vampire! reader's outfits.

unless we're talking about sexier outfits, like you said, leather and such. which i won't expand upon here, but that would surely make them uncomfortable.

but, much like our og vampire! reader, what really bothers them is the change in attitude, in company, in behavior. she was so quiet and demure before, going out during business hours and mostly coming home before it got dark, or at least sticking strictly to curfew. she barely had any friends. but suddenly she's hanging out with some person she met who knows where, frequenting nightclubs and coming home close to dawn? acting distant and avoidant towards her family (who didn't really pay her much mind but that's irrelevant)? now that grinds their gears.

but if we want to get away from that hyperfeminity post-embrace, i can see og! vampire! reader gravitating towards something like this:

"what's got you all sad and stuff?"

a gruff voice asked you while you sobbed into your now wet palms. you looked up slowly at him with watery eyes and trembling lips, hoping you didn't look so pathetic, like you didn't just get stood up on a date you waited a whole week for.

you sniffed back your snot and blinked away your hot tears as you realized it was that blonde kid in your class, hayakawa, asking you what was up with you–his pinky finger gracefully shoved away in his nostril, picking his nose, while he looked down at you with his amber colored irises.

you didn't know what was more pitiful, the fact you got stood up by someone you really liked and were left alone after waiting around for them for nearly 3 hours at this point, or the fact that you were being sort-of-but-not-really comforted by a stranger, who wasn't exactly a stranger, from your class, picking his nose for a sizeable booger.

with a shaky breath, you looked up at the color of the setting sun–the deep, fiery red, orange, and yellow hues in the sky reminding you of how long it had been since you arrived in this damned park, only to be made a fool out of when nobody arrived to take you to the date you really, really looked forward to going.

"...i got stood up." you muttered, wiping away your tears as your gaze fell down to your bright, shining shoes that you bought specifically to impress your date. denji let out a small, 'huh' sound, and sat next to you on the bench; flicking away a small booger he caught, then wiping his finger on his shirt after.

"well, what if we went on a date?" he asked you nonchalantly. your eyes widened at his suggestion, but a part of you felt a little grosses out by it. "us?" you asked in sheer confusion. "yeah. what, don't wanna go on a date with the one and only chainsaw man? too scared ta do it? i bet you are." he said with a mischievous grin and a devilish tone of mockery in his voice as he challenged you.

this boy always said he was chainsaw man, not like anyone–nor you–believed him, but at this point, you were too broken up to really give a damn about anything else he was saying aside from the fact he was more than willing to take a pretty girl who's been disappointed and heartbroken out for the night of her life.

you sighed, leaning your head against the bench's backrest and shrugged. "okay." you murmured, making denji chuckle and stand up. he extended his clean hand towards you and gave you a sharp, toothy smile. "i've got a game of uno waiting for us back at my place, and a little devil to take care of, but she's not gonna give a shit. maybe."

you find yourself chuckling ironically at how sweet his gesture is, offering to take you to his place to play a game of uno, maybe get some takeout from that chinese place he's been mumbling to himself about craving their food for, and maybe brewing you some tea even though he hates it–all because he's heard you like it.

"ya like tea?" he asked you when he turned to you, not realizing you two were holding hands this whole time. you snap out of your inner thoughts and look him in the eyes. you nod and raise an eyebrow in surprise. "how'd you know?"

"dunno, y'seem like the type to like tea. you're like... all pretty and sweet and shit, y'know? and i heard you talkin' to yer friends once about this tea house y'really wanted to go to someday, so... yeah, if i get the money, i'll take ya there. but fer now, yer stuck with the denji hayakawa special brew." he joked, making your cheeks feel a little warm at how thoughtful he was being without even trying.

something tells you this new surprise date would be a little better than you expected, hopefully.

Since I privated all of my fics and all I have on my ao3 is a dark!Remus AU oneshot, I figured I would share a snippet of a fic that I was working on before I lost inspiration. I'm not sure if I'll ever return to this idea (maybe someday), but this idea features Slytherin!Sirius and was intended to be a rivals/enemies to lovers wolfstar (with background jegulus) that follows the marauders through each year at Hogwarts.

(When I said "idk I'm new here" I meant it, so idk if I'm doing this right but HERE WE GO)

Remus' worst subject is Potions. 

This is largely due to the fact that Professor Slughorn is the worst and seems to think it's a good idea to assign everyone a "potions partner." And since that's not horrible enough by itself, he decided to pair each Gryffindor with a Slytherin for a partner since they share the period. He calls it "a gesture of house unity."

Of course, Sirius is a masterful potioneer. It's honestly infuriating the way he doesn't even have to reference the textbook in order to brew a perfect potion. He always does a one-over of the ingredients and the instructions, closes his textbook and tucks it away, and never glances at it again as he proceeds to create a flawless potion.

So James ended up paired with Severus. Peter is paired with Mulciber. And Remus was lucky enough to be landed with Sirius Black.

Meanwhile, Remus always ends up making several trips to the ingredients storage cupboard because he keeps forgetting something and he has to reference each step in the potion-making process in the textbook about a million times before he's confident that he's doing it right. 

So naturally, Sirius is usually finished with his assignment early on while Remus is still frantically chopping ingredients or stirring the cauldron with immense concentration to make sure he gets the number of rotations exactly right. 

And Sirius gets bored. And when Sirius gets bored, he entertains himself with cruel taunts and pranks.

Today, they are attempting to brew sleeping draughts. It's a simple enough potion, Remus actually thinks he stands a shot at scraping through this particular lesson. But Sirius has other ideas.

"Those aren't asphodel petals."

Remus grits his teeth without looking up from the task of counting out exactly 13 dried petals. "Yes, they are."

Sirius likes to make Remus second-guess himself. He seems to think it a fun game to convince Remus that he's mucking up every assignment. Remus ended up ruining his potion and filling the entire classroom in a cloud of purple foam when he fell for it last time. He has found that his best chance at success is ignoring any advice from Sirius.

"Nope, those are hyacinth petals," Sirius says matter-of-factly, leaning against the table and eyeing the white petals coolly. "Trust me, you don't want to add hyacinth petals to this potion."

Remus almost falters. Either Sirius is very persuasive or Remus is very naive because he knows better than to fall for this. "I know what ingredients I have. The label said asphodel."

"Then it was mislabeled," Sirius quips back. "Because those are not asphodel petals."

Remus can't help it. He pauses for a moment to peer at the white petals, frowning uncertainly. He glances at the picture in the textbook, and it doesn't really help to clear his self-doubt. They look like the same general shape and color, but it's hard to tell since they're all dried and shriveled.

He decides to stick to his gut this time and pointedly begins the task of grinding the flowers into a fine powder. Because even if he's wrong, at least it'll be an honest mistake and not the result of childlike gullibility.

Sirius shrugs and pushes off the edge of the table. "Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you." 

Remus looks up at him. Sirius smirks back. He's bluffing. He's just trying to trick Remus into fucking up his potion. 

Remus defiantly tips the powdered petals into the cauldron, and right as he does so, Sirius backs away from the table. And Remus has about 1 second to realize that he was, in fact, not bluffing this time before the world goes dark.

Waking up is humiliating. Remus finds himself blinking back into consciousness lying on the floor of the dungeon. His vision is all hazy and his mouth tastes funny and he is surrounded by a crowd of onlookers. Professor Slughorn is leaning over him, lightly slapping the side of his face to rouse him.

"Come on, my boy, up, up. You're alright, just a small mishap," he says, nudging Remus until he sits upright. "It appears you've mistakenly used hyacinth petals instead of asphodel, it's a common error, the fumes from such a concoction will knock a Hippogriff unconscious upon contact." To the class, he raises his voice to add, "Do be sure to double check the labels in the store room so we can avoid incidents such as this one in the future!"

James comes forward to help Remus to his feet, and Remus can't help swaying a little once he's standing. His head feels terribly woozy and he thinks he might vomit.

"I tried to warn him, Professor Slughorn," Sirius pipes up, expression perfectly innocent. "I told him he had hyacinth petals, but he wouldn't listen to me."

Remus shoots a glare at Sirius, but there's no use trying to defend himself. Slughorn adores Sirius, he's one of his most favorite "Slug Club" pupils, and he can do no wrong in Slughorn's mind.

Slughorn lets out a huff of disappointment, shaking his head. To the class, he declares, "Well, then, let this be a valuable lesson! We should not allow pride to close our minds. We should always be willing to accept genuine advice from others, even those we don't necessarily get along with." He directs that last part to Remus with a stern look. Then, he gestures at Sirius. "Sirius, m'boy, since you have already completed today's assignment, would you be a lad and escort Mr. Lupin to the hospital wing? Simply a precaution, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about, but Poppy may wish to administer a Pepperup potion to counter the effects of the sleeping gas."

Sirius starts to agree when James cuts in. "Sir, I've finished my potion, too, so I could escort Remus to the hospital wing. If that's alright?"

Remus doesn't have a chance to feel grateful to James because Slughorn immediately turns him down. He goes on one of his ruddy "house unity" spiels and insists that Sirius be the one to accompany Remus. So Remus resigns himself to the ongoing humiliation of trailing out of the classroom behind Sirius fucking Black.

Remus is still a little unsteady on his feet and he has the unyielding desire to just lie down and sleep on the floor. But when Sirius offers out his arm to steady him, Remus ignores him and pointedly staggers ahead.

Sirius just shrugs and follows after him. "Hey, it's not like I didn't try to warn you."

"Yeah, you're such a bloody saint," Remus mutters. "Slughorn certainly seems to believe your act."

"Aww, have we still got our knickers in a twist over the girding potion last month?"

"You swapped my doxy eggs for fairy eggs!"

"Or maybe you're just really bad at Potions," Sirius snarks back. "The only resemblance between the two is the size. Doxy eggs are black, fairy eggs are brightly coloured. It's your own fault you didn't notice."

"Yeah, I'm bad at Potions," Remus grumbles. "Which means I am perfectly capable of mucking it up all on my own, without any help from you. Can't you just let me fail in peace?"

"Where's the fun in that?" Sirius laughs. "I've never met anyone as hopelessly gullible as you, Loopy, you make it too easy."

Remus clenches his jaw and falls silent for the rest of the walk. When they reach the hospital wing, Sirius turns on his "innocent-good-boy" act for Madame Pomfrey and informs her of what happened before Remus has a chance to open his mouth. 

She thanks Sirius for being so bloody chivalrous for taking the time to escort Remus here and tells him that he is free to leave as she bustles off to fetch some Pepperup potion from the storage room. Sirius departs with a charming smile, but he pauses in the doorway once Pomfrey is gone.

He looks at Remus and smirks wickedly. "I swapped the labels."

Been thinking about underland cheshire cat ryuseitai again, but it's now a tetora event

Tetora's ryuseitai would be something cool and "manly", I think. Also it would be something that deviates from ryuseitai's hero image that they're known for. Supervillain showed that they can be edgy. They can also be a little dark, and I really want tetora's ryuseitai to show that. They can be a little edgy, as a treat!

I think the song would be more of a rock n roll style with a lot of electric guitars like in colors arise. Idk where the mv would be set, but maybe somewhere like a dark forest. Also would feature a lot of karate moves, maybe even a backflip or two and definitely a handstand from Midori (I'm still salty that they never did anything with mido's handstand specialty back in his es year 1 profile). And more tetora growls!!

Oh and the mv outfits definitely have cat ears and tail, maybe even painted nails. Make it a little cunty. Ryuseitai can be a little cunty too

Hi there! I'm alterhuman/nonhuman and was wondering how to portray that in the way I present myself. I want humans to see me and think "that's not human". Do you have any suggestions for ways I could show I'm not human with how I dress, my mannerisms, how I communicate, or anything else?

Ooh I love this question! This is kind of how I want to present but in a subtle way. Like just enough to make people take a second glance. Such a vibe.

My goals (whether I'll actually achieve within my lifetime idk) personally are to have my canine teeth lengthened and maybe have my ears pointed like elf ears someday! Tattoos are also a good way to look less human, I know someone who has a bunch of scale tattoos based on their kintype and it's so neat! Of course those aren't very realistic goals for everyone but thought I'd put them out there because they were the first that came to mind.

As far as mannerisms/communication, I highly recommend watching videos of your kintype or animals you want to emulate. Even if your kintype is a non-Earth creature there must be something similar on Earth or just an animal you really vibe with. Watch how they move, how they communicate, how they hunt, and channel that in you! I find that in particular, stuff like walking slightly hunched, avoiding eye contact, and showing your teeth a lot when you talk are very nonhuman-coded to me.

For dressing nonhuman, it really just depends on the vibe you're going for.

Beastly creature posing as a human? I think of messy oversized clothes, fur textures, natural colors, "I just threw this on" kind of energy.

Ethereal humanoid being? Flowy, drapey fabrics and glittery accents, slightly dramatic makeup.

Demonic entity? Deep colors, layers of jewelry that clink together as you move, spikes, intense eyeliner.

It's difficult to give specific advice without knowing what type of nonhuman you want to be like, because there are just so many ways to be nonhuman! But my general advice is to make a moodboard of the vibe you want to go for and brainstorm ways to incorporate it into your everyday life. Like if you're in school and have a dress code but want to dress demonic, look up fashion styles like punk and goth but school appropriate. I've definitely seen some "how to dress alt in school/work" videos on youtube before, so they're out there! Even if you're not in school or have a job with a dress code but just want to be more subtle about your nonhumanity and not stand out a ton, you could find some inspiration from those types of videos :)

Hiii thanks for the ask! I'm still only really familiar with writing Xiao so I can't promise much for the others lol. I'm going to try to put something down for each character though

Scenario: Venti, Xiao, and Kazuha with Moana!Reader (Maybe someday I'll revisit this with Heizou and Wanderer as well)

Contents: a LOT of exposition (I tried to come up with a backstory explaining how Reader got this ability), gender not specified, fluff

Ok so first of all, this is different from having a hydro vision. You can't just summon/weaponize water at will. It's more like the water is its own entity and you're able to communicate with it?

Let's say that it's an oceanid thing. You don't remember very clearly because it was such a long time ago, but you first "befriended" the water when you were very little. You were playing on the beach and you wandered into a cave. You were exploring when you noticed a faint blue light. Not only is the cavern cast in a soft cerulean light, but it reflects off the small pools in the cave, reflecting patterns onto the cave walls. You followed the light until you found the source: a floating, glowing little fairy-like creature with a singular glowing eye, fin-like arms and a fish tail. It seemed to be made of water, it's colors rippling and shifting like the pools in the cave. You didn't understand it but it seemed... lost. You gesture for it to follow you and it seems to understand, letting you guide it back outside. You notice it didn't like to stray too far from the water. You lead it back to the beach where you were having a picnic with your parents to try to offer it some food. It didn't seem interested, only floating around the sandwiches and bulle fruits curiously. You hear a sound from the shore and you look over to see something rising out of the water. It resembled your small floating friend, only much bigger, towering over you. The smaller one instantly flies over to its larger counterpart -- you wonder if it's its mama -- and you watch as the smaller one zips around, practically dancing, as if excitedly retelling its adventure. The larger one observed silently, as if listening, before looking over to you. After a few moments it pivots away, returning back into the seawater. The smaller creature looks at you and does a little flip in the air before diving underwater alongside its companion.

(Basically you helped a baby oceanid return home and its caretaker put a blessing on you so that other water spirits know that you're friendly. Since there are other bodies of water in Teyvat besides just the ocean, I'm writing it so that the local water spirits wherever you go are the ones bending the water to your favor.)

Between the splashing sounds of his stumbling footsteps, he can hear vengeful echoes of fallen opponents, the ghosts of comrades and victims alike, a familiar cold presence taking eating away at his body, sapping away more and more of his strength

Before he collapses into the cold, blood-tainted water, he's lands in a certain sometimes arms

You both noticed some time ago that you have some sort of resistance to his corruption whenever you're near a body of water, as if it's siphoning some of its strength to you. Eventually Xiao gave up trying to avoid you altogether, though every once in a while he re-voices his concern of his presence being dangerous to you and you have to reassure him that you're fine.

"The marsh wouldn't stop nagging me to get over here." You retort, remembering how the current at some point picked you up and carried you here faster than you could've run.

"The hydro spirits get grumpy when you start bleeding out into their waters, you know," You muse, channeling the water's energy to try to draw out more of the corruption.

You press the palm of your hand to an uninjured spot just above a wound in his arm, rubbing I'm a soothing motion. As you work, you fill the silence with stories of the water spirits and their antics today, the marsh water occasionally rippling and shaping itself to illustrate what you were saying.

The entire time, Xiao is watching your hands -- not the water -- without speaking a word.

He swears he can feel his corruption fading in your presence... or maybe it was because of the water? If the water favored you and you were helping him, did the water favor him by extension?

Wait you're basically like the hydro version of Kazuha. Not the anemo/hydro vision part but the way the wind is always telling Kazuha stuff

Like I can picture as you're sailing on the Alcor, Kazuha tells you what he can sense in the wind and you tell him what you can sense in the water. The different birds/fishes and what they're doing, the breezes/currents, etc

last movie: well i work at a movie theater, but the last one I saw in Full was Ocean Waves by Studio Ghibli. It is a television movie however, so if that doesn't count, I also recently watched That Christmas on Netflix. Super cute movie btw, I recommend it!

last show: mmmmm i think Pokemon Horizons? If it's not pokemon horizons it's Natsume Yuujinchou. I don't watch a lot of TV shows rn sadly.

sweet/spicy/savory: A reasonable landslide for sweet, though I don't mind savory! I have a poor spice tolerance, though I am trying to work on it 😔

relationship status: Nah! Been too busy this year trying to live for myself and get myself back on track and towards the next period of my life. Maybe someday though, I'd really appreciate something new.

last thing i googled: literally Ocean Waves to make sure it was a television film, like what I thought I'd read LMAO. On my phone though, it was Ryan Reynolds, since I was heard about the drama and just took a cursory skim.

current obsession: GREAT question. Hard question. Ace Attorney, Pokemon, Professor Layton, etc. I guess Zero Escape is new for me this year. I haven't changed my tastes too wildly tho... I guess I've been obsessed with this one sk8 matchablossom fic that's been posting every day since the beginning of the month advent style? It's been keeping me going during this rough week of work :) (The fic is Best Nightmare Come True by who_la_hoop on ao3 btw hehe)

looking forward to: A lot of things! A normal work schedule as the holidays pass. Hearing back about grad school decisions. Finishing my LT fic (posting tonight or tomorrow for all my LT babes ;)), New World of Steam, MHA Vigilantes anime, for Toni to finish aai2 and get back to miracle mask LMAO. Also spending more time w/ my friends!! Just a lot of fun things I hope to hold onto.
