ㅤ ㅤㅤ‹ CRUEL INTENTIONS.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ‹ 𖤐 pairing. new era! bi-han x gn! reader | platonic! liu kang x reader!
ㅤ ㅤㅤ‹ 𖤐 setting. mk1 timeline.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ‹ 𖤐 type. headcanons. | this part focuses more on reader's relationship with their friends and family than actually adding anything to romance (or in relationships with other yandere). some characters may be ooc, but everything here is for fun and writing exercises.
ㅤ ㅤㅤPART ONE | MEMES | PART THREE.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Immortality was not a gift but a curse, a heavy anchor. A cruel burden that Liu Kang, a monk who once felt the relentless touch of time, began to bear after gaining control over the sands of time. Since then, the God of Fire and Thunder was left alone with the stories he wove, his creations, and the ghosts of a bittersweet past.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Geras was a familiar face, but not quite the same. Merely a shadow. Liu Kang was, without a doubt, alone in this timeline, serving his own creations. Over time, he came to understand that, despite all his power, fate did not always respect his scripts.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— It was in that quietude that you appeared in his life: a sweet child, with curious eyes and an easy smile.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Loving you was easy. For the first time, Liu Kang could realize the fantasies he had shared with Kitana: he finally had a family. Becoming a father became his greatest honor, and he embraced this role with pride. You were his treasure, an unexpected variation in the code he had written, which made you unique in his eyes.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Liu Kang was a devoted father, always indulging your wishes but also knowing when to set boundaries. Beyond that, he was an excellent mentor. You grew up with everything you needed: knowledge, diplomatic training, and physical strength.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Johnny Cage, a champion of Earthrealm, would say that your essence was radiant, like a little sun. Inspired by your father's actions, you strove to be kind and strong. Perhaps that’s why it was so easy for you to be seduced by the empty promises of the Lin Kuei Grandmaster. Love, loyalty, honor— qualities you valued and sought in your marriage. But instead, you found a painful betrayal.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Sektor was a loyal friend, and although you noticed how her gaze lingered on your husband, she never acted on those feelings. You were always grateful for that. When the monks from the Wu Shi Academy came to collect your belongings, she was the first to try and understand your motivations.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Without hesitation and without shedding a tear, you revealed the truth. Bi-Han had made his choice, and you would respect it, even if it was a foolish one.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ“The Grandmaster wouldn’t be capable of such an offense,” Sektor murmured, shaking her head in disbelief, her braids mirroring her movements. “He respects you deeply.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— You laughed. The truth was already public. Everyone in the clan had seen what was truly happening between the Grandmaster and Sareena, who now wore the colors of the Lin Kuei, leaving the scarlet garments behind.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ“I believed that too, but maybe I never truly knew the real Bi-Han. And I don’t even know if I want to.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Even so, you were happy. You still had the support and affection of friends. After your departure, Kuai Liang and Tomas found time to visit you, often bringing Cyrax and Sektor along. These visits warmed Liu Kang’s heart, though he harbored a quiet fury. You were his greatest weakness, and any offense against you was enough to awaken the brutal side he tried to suppress.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— With the distance from Bi-Han, you returned to training and began building new connections. The champions of Earthrealm were captivating companions, each in their own way. Eventually, however, it was inevitable that you would find yourself in your ex-husband’s presence. On one of these occasions, you congratulated him on his victory over the Black Dragon.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ “It was an easy fight,” Sareena replied before Bi-Han. A sharp smile on her lips. “We make a great team, I must say.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤYou laughed, with veiled cynicism. “Of course you do…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— Despite keeping up appearances, Sareena’s presence and that of her sisters caused a noticeable discomfort for Liu Kang. But he knew how to hide his feelings. The real tension arose when you and Bi-Han were alone. Your calmness and the innocence he always criticized remained, as if those three years of marriage had never existed.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— The first direct confrontation came from him, during a gathering that Liu Kang had organized. Dressed in the colors of the Academy, you were cheerfully talking with Kung Lao, exchanging cheeky smiles.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ “Now I see why you went back to your father,” Bi-Han growled, once the meeting ended. “To stay close to that weakling?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤYou paused, confused. “Are you being sarcastic?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ— It was impossible to forget: he had brought another woman into your home, someone with whom he spent more time than he ever had with you. Needless to say, that night ended in a fight. Kuai Liang had to drag his brother away while Tomas apologized repeatedly to Kung Lao and Liu Kang, who watched the scene in disbelief.

♡◇°Bireena "Beauty and the Beast".
I work on a bireena fanfic about this tale , where Bi-han's father sends him to the castle of the "beast". Only the father cheated , as he did not send his most loved son (Kuai Liang) he sent the one he loves the least (Bi-han) , Sareena then must accept Bi-han , however the story of the man who was abandoned by his father , and almost sold as nothing is what makes the "beast" pity him , as Bi-han may be cold but he deserves the happiness he so longs for , however only a son who is loved by his own can break the spell. ... then what will happen to the beast or the beauty?

🌎We Will Dance The Whole Night Through
Pairing: Bi-Han/Sareena Length: 1618 Words Rating: Teen Warnings: Royalty AU, Fluff, Emperor!Bi-Han, Maid!Sareena, First Meetings, Meet-Cute, Dancing, Background Hanzo/Kuai
Meanwhile In Another Universe Masterlist
Notes: So uh… Khaos Reigns apparently wasn’t too good for the Bireena nation, huh? (I wouldn’t know. I haven’t played/watched it, and don’t plan to for a little while for the sake of my sanity lol) As a consolation prize, enjoy Bi-Han being a grumpy man to everyone but Sareena :) Fic title is from Under A Violet Moon by Blackmore’s Night.
Sareena was trying her best to keep her composure.
She was used to the usually empty halls of Netherrealm’s palace, where she’d just keep to herself and make sure things were clean. She couldn’t remember the last time her Master had guests, let alone thrown a huge party like this. It was uncomfortable, having to serve so many people, making sure they were fed and happy. Usually she just had Master to watch over, and she had his tastes memorised at this point. But she didn’t know any of these people, didn’t know what they would like or if they’d take her offering them drinks well or not.
She stilled her nerves, carrying a tray with glasses of Champagne on it through the crowd. She offered some to everyone she met, some gladly taking a glass, some politely declining, and others glaring at her like she’d just asked them to get on the floor and lick her shoes.
Soon she had one glass left, and she spotted a man standing off to one side on his own. Well, I may as well see if he wants it.Everyone else was in groups, meaning she’d have to grab more if she offered it to anyone else.
“Would you like a drink, Sir?” Sareena asked as she got close to the man. He stared at her for a long quiet moment, before reaching to take the glass offered.
“Thank you.” He returned his attention back to somewhere across the room. Sareena was about to leave him to his own devices, when suddenly he asked “you work in the palace, correct?”
“Yes, that is correct,” she confirmed, completely unsure where this conversation was going.
“Then could you tell me who that is?” He pointed across the room, where two men were standing talking. She recognised one of them, tall and wearing his signature yellow colour, while the other was unfamiliar, shorter and in a light blue. “The man in yellow, I know he is a member of your armies, who is he?”
“Oh, that’s General Hanzo Hasashi,” she replied, watching the two men in question as well. Hanzo was an oddity, not originally from Netherrealm, but the second he had joined the army, he’d raised in the ranks thanks to his unwavering loyalty. He was usually a stoic figure, it was almost impossible to make him smile, let alone laugh.
And yet, in the company of whoever the other man was, he had a small smile on his face, looking at him almost fondly.
“Do you know the man he’s with, Sir?” Sareena questioned, because there was something in the way this man was reacting that indicated he did. “It’s just… I’ve never seen the General smile before. Whoever he’s with must be special.”
The man scoffed, “he’s my younger brother, Kuai Liang.” The man rolled his shoulders, tilting his head, looking like he was debating walking over there. Eventually, he backed down, taking a sip of his drink. “I will let it be for now then. But know this, if your General tries anything with him, there will be hell to pay.”
“I see…” She wasn’t entirely sure how to react to that. She debated warning Hanzo that Kuai Liang’s brother was unhappy about their seeming friendliness. It felt unnecessary though, so for now she’d just let things play out for itself.
“My apologies,” the man suddenly stated, his gaze now on Sareena as he raised an eyebrow. “I do not believe I asked your name.”
“Oh. I’m Sareena, Sir,” she replied, curtsying ever so slightly holding the tray behind her back. “I guess some would call me a maid, but really I do whatever my Master requires of me.”
The man nodded at that, before turning to her fully, placing a fist over his heart as he bowed to her. “I am Emperor Song Bi-Han of The Lin Kuei Empire.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She bowed again, not really sure what the protocol here was. Sareena was used to being in the background, rarely addressed by others, especially guests. Even less so an Emperor. She felt completely out of her depth here.
“Hm. There are not many to think that,” Bi-Han chuckled, although the tone wasn’t exactly a humorous sound. More bitter? Angry even. “Apparently I am quite intimidating.”
“Well, you cannot be so bad, Sir. Most nobles and royalty do not give staff such as myself a second glance, let alone ask their name.” The truth, really. When she thought about it, she wasn’t even sure if Quan Chi himself knew her name. Despite how closely she worked with and for him, she couldn’t remember a time he’d actually referred to her as Sareena. “So. You have that.”
“Yes, well. I tend to prefer talking to the staff than the masters.” Bi-Han took another sip of his drink, eyes glancing over the room. Sareena followed his gaze, finding he was staring at Hanzo and Kuai Liang, who had apparently taken to dancing together. Bi-Han looked annoyed, but merely shook his head and returned his attention to Sareena. “Honestly, you are not missing much talking with nobility. They tend to be horrifically privileged, vapid, self righteous and self congratulatory people.”
“Not you though?” Sareena questioned, knowing he’d taken no offence to the question when he smirked.
“I have an ego, I suppose, but I actually have the skill to back it up.” He brought a hand behind his head, almost like he was flexing for Sareena’s viewing. She had to admit, his bicep did bulge significantly when he did it. “I doubt the majority of these rich idiots have ever so much as touched a blade, let alone fought side by side with their soldiers.”
“True.” Sareena stepped closer, deliberately lowering her voice to her whisper. What she was about to say was something she did not want to get back to her employer. “I know for a fact Quan Chi stays safely within these walls anytime there is a campaign or conquest.”
She glanced around the room, eyes landing on her Master across the dance floor. Thankfully he was not paying attention to her at all. Not because he was talking to anyone, which is what she would have expected given this was his party. No, instead he seemed to be distracted by something on the dance floor. She couldn’t tell from here, but it almost looked like he was watching Hanzo and Kuai Liang.
Whatever he was looking at, he appeared to be absolutely pissed about something.
“Does not surprise me,” Bi-Han muttered, also looking over to Quan Chi. He raised an eyebrow, seemingly noticing where Quan Chi’s own gaze was currently landing. “I understand my invitation here is partially an attempt to convince me that allying with Netherrealm’s forces would be in my empire's best interest.”
“And I suppose so far, you have found little to convince you of that?” She wasn’t sure, but she couldn’t recall seeing Quan Chi talk with Bi-Han. Which, quite frankly, if that was what part of what this was about, you’d think it’d be a priority. Sareena never quite understood her Master’s motivations sometimes.
“Not from him. I expected as much, however.” Bi-Han stared at her, before giving a smile. “But maybe I will find something.” He suddenly held his hand out to her. “I realise that you are working, but if you have the time spare, may I ask you for this dance?”
“I- Oh!” Sareena was certain her face was bright red, because her cheeks felt so very hot all of a sudden. “I don’t really know how to dance.”
“Admittedly, neither do I,” Bi-Han chuckled. “But I think together we might be able to figure it out.”
Sareena took a deep breath. When am I ever going to be asked to dance again? By an emperor no less. And if Quan Chi had a problem with her leaving her post? Well, she was sure she could swing that she was trying to help convince Bi-Han that an alliance would be worth his time.
“I’d love to,” she finally exclaimed, taking the hand Bi-Han had offered her.
Together they walked into the centre of the dance floor. Holding both hands, they began to sway in time to the music, glancing around to try and figure out what everyone else was doing. They probably stood out as being sloppy and out of time but Sareena didn’t care. This was probably one of the happiest moments of her life.
She briefly looked away from Bi-Han, seeing Hanzo and Kuai Liang once again. Only this time, they were both looking back at her. Hanzo was as passive as ever. Kuai Liang however? Well, he had a huge grin on his face like he knew something no one else did. He took a hand off of Hanzo, giving Sareena an enthusiastic wave. She just gave a brief nod, unsure how else to respond.
And then she spotted Quan Chi, his gaze now squarely on Bi-Han and herself. Sareena was expecting him to look angry, instead he merely looked intrigued. Somehow, that felt worse. She had a horrible feeling she had accidentally just made herself a pawn in whatever game he was playing.
Sareena decided that was something that could wait. Especially when her eyes finally came back to Bi-Han, whose face was screwed up in concentration, clearly trying to get his movements right. It was just so endearing, how hard he was trying. Is he doing all this to impress me? Honestly merely acknowledging her existence did that.
Whatever Bi-Han’s motives, or whatever anyone else thought, for now, Sareena was going to just shut out the world and enjoy herself.

Heya, folks! Look what the tide brought! It's ma girl!
☆☆☆☆SCORPION!HARUMI☆☆☆☆
Click to see all the details and extra info!
If you just got here, this is Harumi Hasashi in her Spider Gwen Era!
This is a reality where Harumi became the Scorpion of the Shirai Ryu!
I wrote an entire backstory for her and had lots of fun brainstorming with my gal @mikka-minns, and you can find it all right here (I recommend you read the reblogs too 👀)!
And as I was specially inspired, I also made a second design! May I introduce you to:
☆☆☆☆Sub-Zero!Lisa Liang☆☆☆☆
She was Minnie's idea!
Lisa Liang is the forgotten Sub-Zero Sibling, but here she has a special role being Harumi's main Sub-Zero rival and love interest!
Lisa's personally is quite similar to Kuai Liang in Battle of the Realms. She is driven by her emotions, devoted, dedicated and extremely stubborn!
But her tough exterior hides a bold and gentle heart! She is extremely caring of her family and those she consider friends and allies. Never dare to cause harm to her loved ones, you do not wish to be on the receiving end of her wrath!
Much like her older brother, Bi-Han, Lisa has gathered countless enemies, to which would prove to be too much for a single warrior, luckily for the Cryomancer, she is not alone, for her guardian, her Scorpion, her lover, Harumi Hasashi, dutifully and loyally fights alongside her in every battle!
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
You met the Girlfriends! Now allow me to introduce you to some other members of this AU!
KUAI LIANG:
Youngest of the Sub-Zero Siblings! Being 9 years younger than Bi-Han and 3 minutes younger than Lisa, Kuai had to learn form a young age how to stand his ground so he wouldn't be bossed around by their own siblings!
Naturally born leader and wise beyond his age. He and Lisa lead the Lin Kuei to a new era of prosperity as defenders of Earthrealm!
Kuai was the first to reach out and seek to make peace with Harumi, once she had proven deserving of his forgiveness.
As he was also under the Scorpion's protection, he had spent plenty of time with her, and they soon became close friends, they would confide to each other from the most mundane to the deepest secrets.
He was the first Harumi confided her love for Lisa. And he was also the first Lisa confided her love for Harumi.
He told both the same thing: Well, wasn't that obvious?
BI-HAN (AND SAREENA)
The oldest of the Sub-Zero Siblings, Bi-Han is known to be ruthless, cruel and merciless to all his enemies!
And though he lives up to his reputation, few know that he is not beyond merciful acts, "never women and children" is his one rule!
And even after he was swallowed by darkness and driven to madness under Quan Chi's spells, this one rule remained.
With one solemn exception: His murderer, the Scorpion of the Shirai Ryu.
For years, he sought revenge. And he would fight anyone who dared to stand in his way, even his own twin siblings.
He felt betrayed the first time they fought. Betrayed, heartbroken, confused and extremely angry! He could not comprehend why his own siblings would chose this Shirai Ryu, his killer, over him!
He would keep fighting them for years, each time more aggressively, more heartbroken, till one day his sister stood bravely between him and his prey, "If you want her, you will have to kill me first" she told him. And as much as he hated his siblings at that moment, he could never hurt them.
He disappeared after that fight, back to Netherrealm. He could not comprehend, couldn't fathom why his sister would ever put her life in such a risk for some Scorpion!
He stayed in hell for the years to come, but not alone. He had made himself a friend, a demon called Sareena. She was nice to him, and dreamed with a life if freedom, out of Netherrealm.
He liked to hear her escape plans, and after some time, he even started to come up with some plans of his own and brainstorm with her. Till one day, they managed to escape!
Sareena was happy, she bounced and giggled happily, regarding her new surroundings in awe.
Bi-Han loved that sight of her. He loved her. And he would never let anything or anyone hurt her!
And it hit him.
Why his sister would not let him hurt that stupid little Scorpion.
Bi-Han never apologised to Harumi for trying to kill her. He never even apologised to his own siblings. He never felt he truly owed them an apology.
But he did tell them he would not let any harm come to them. To any of them.
Kuai, always the diplomat, invited him and Sareena to join them for lunch someday.
"We will see..." was his only response, "we will see..."
HANZO HASASHI
Harumi has met Hanzo twice in her life.
First time she met him, was when they were kids. He came to her village one day, and requested the Grandmaster himself to give him a home to live and in exchange he would train to become the greatest of all warriors!
It was a bold request for such a small child, but Harumi never doubted him, much due to her own ambitions being quite similar, if not the same as his!
Harumi, dreamed of being Scorpion!
It did not take long before the two of them started to get along! They would play together and when the time came, they started to train together!
They had a pact, the two of them: "We will help each other become the best warriors of the clan! And whoever becomes Scorpion names the other as their second in command!"
One pact they dutifully kept! Harumi was named Scorpion and she took Hanzo as her Second in Command, and in that same day, she also took him as her husband.
Harumi loved Hanzo deeply. And together they build a home for themselves and their son. They were her world.
But that world was brutally taken from her. Hanzo was taken from her. And from that day on, she would never be the same.
The second time she met Hanzo he was not quite her Hanzo.
He was from another reality, one in which he was named Scorpion and she was his Second in Command. She was also his wife, mother of his son, his world. World that was also brutally taken from him.
He was not exactly like her Hanzo, even if subtly, she could tell he was his own person, but happily, he was a person she grew to adore!
He was lovely, with the biggest of all heats. She could tell his Harumi was loved by him.
Their meeting was quite a necessary event, things buried deeply in their hearts finally found their say out and a feeling of peace hovered above them.
Closure was found. And with it, a newly found need to move on!
They were quite similar, this Hanzo and Harumi. There was much about their lives they shared, good and bad.
But it was when he confided his love not for her but for his world's Kuai Liang that she realised another similarity:
That Scorpion is bound to fall in love with Sub-Zero.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Oh Hey! You made it!!! How you liking this AU so far?

Pregnant sareena HCs plzz. I think sareena would be super Bi polar during pregnancy. Like at moment she’s a sweetheart pregnant woman who’s excitedly planning her baby shower and the next second she’s a raging demon lol
Bipolar? Yeah, just like BIHAN! Thanks for the request and hope you like it! I’m sorry if this is short and not that good, I’m not used to writing about pregnancy and have no idea of how it is like
- When Sareena finds out she’s pregnant she freaks out
- When Bi-Han receives the news he can’t believe it
- He may be 32 years old bu he still acts like a teenager, how the hell is he supposed to be a father?
- Sareena’s pregnancy is not like the one of human, the baby grows faster at her belly and it has only half the time a normal baby would take to be born
- So yeah they have like 4 months to prepare themselves to be parents
- Sareena’s mood starts becaming a problem, she hates everyone around her and is always pissed off. Don’t even think about touching her, this girl is going to sent you to hell if such thing happens
- Everyone at the Lin Kuei clan is anxious for their new member, but concerned about how the child will be like and if Sareena will made it out alive
- She has no idea of how to be a mother, demons don’t have parents after all
- When the child is born both her and Bi-Han are the most happy couple in the world, all their fears disappear at the sight of their baby
- Sareena quickly recovers from giving birth and is just like she used to be, but with a bad mood that will continue for some long months

Hi! For the ask ship meme uwu: 001: mortal kombat, 002: kuaitana and 003: my dear princess kitana. bye :)
Sure, dear anon. Thank you for sending this ask. Someone seems to know me, so, let’s go then.
001 | Send me a fandom and I will tell you my:
Favorite character: Kitana, hands down. She was my main since MKII, and I kinda related to her.
Least Favorite character: Kronika. She sucks as a boss. She is boring, plain and cheap, Shinnok is ten times a better villain than Kronika will ever be.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):
Taleena (Tanya x Mileena), Kuaitana (Kuai Liang x Kitana), JadeLao (Jade x Kung Lao), CageBlade (Johnny x Sonya), Bireena (Bi-Han x Sareena).
Character I find most attractive: As for women, MKX!Tanya is hottest girl I have ever seen in Mortal Kombat. As for men, MK11!Kuai Liang is the most attractive man ever.
Character I would marry: Johnny Cage. He may be a jerk sometimes but I see why Sonya married him and I can’t blame her.
Character I would be best friends with: Kung Lao. It would be a real fun to have a wit battles with.
a random thought: I don’t care what everyone says, but alongside with Nintendo, Pokemon and the WWF (back in the day during the end of the nineties), Mortal Kombat was my childhood. Later I liked other fighting franchises as Street Fighter or Killer Instinct, but never with the same intensity which I loved Mortal Kombat. Maybe is for that reason that certain retcons saddens me.
An unpopular opinion: I don’t know how much of umpopular opinion is this, but I don’t find that the guest characters are a good idea, even if I understand the financial gain behind it. I look at both Joker and Terminator slots and kinda saddens me the fact that Havik, Mileena or Reptile could have been in MK11 roster instead of them.
My Canon OTP: Taleena. Even if it’s safe to assume that is nothing but a fling and that there is more sexual attraction than real feelings between them, I will forever ship Mileena and Tanya in a romantically way.
My Non-canon OTP: Kuaitana. No, I don’t ship Kitana with Kuai because they wear blue and are assassins. I ship them because they have a lot in common:
Both were literally raised to be assassins and became honorable warriors for good causes, like saving Earthrealm and aiding to defeat Shao Kahn.
In their transitions, both rebelled for freedom. In the old timeline, Kuai rebelled hinself from the Lin Kuei, so they wouldn’t turn him to a robot like Smoke. Kitana rebelled herself from Shao Kahn after she discovered her real origins and Kahn’s deception regarding Mileena’s existence.
It was literally confirmed that for being a Cryomancer, Kuai has edenian ancestry even if he was born and raised in Earthrealm.
Both have to deal with a brother/sister who went or is still nuts (Noob and Mileena).
Most Badass Character: Kitana, Kitana and Kitana. ¿Who dares to ditch Shao Kahn and lives to tell it?. None than the Princess of Edenia.
Most Epic Villain: The most obvious answer in terms of popularity would be Shao Kahn. But in my eyes, my choice is Shang Tsung. While Onaga and Shao Kahn are kind of brutes, Shang has the same means that also made other characters like Palpatine or Voldemort to be formidable villains: a scheming brain and cold blood.
Pairing I am not a fan of:
Kotal x Jade. I despise it, because Kotal is a total piece of shit in my eyes and I headcanon him as possessive, jealous and liar type of man (one of his intros with D’Vorah kinda hints the last when she implies that she bedded him). Jade can do waaaaaaay better than him. She does not deserve a supremacist git whose idea of a “uNiTeD oUtWoRlD” means the slavery of Edenia.
Liu x Kitana: is not that I don’t like them, but I was never fond of them together. Is the same feeling I also get from Baraka x Mileena.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Sindel and Mileena. The first was supposed to be a caring mother who tries to deal with her dark past as Kahn’s consort and not the golddigger that NRS gave us. The second was supposed to be Kitana’s evil twin who grew up with her and later hated her by irrational motives, thanks to NRS now, Mileena is a childlike experiment from Shang Tsung’s laboratory Flesh Pits.
Favourite Friendship: Kitana/Jade, Liu/Kung and Smoke/Kuai. Personally, I like when positive and healthy friendships are portrayed in media and despite of being known by being gory and violent, Mortal Kombat has plenty of healthy friendships.
Character I most identify with: Jade.
Character I wish I could be: Kitana.
002 | Send me a ship and I will tell you:
When I started shipping them: Long ago, when I discovered that I didn’t liked Liutana at all. I respect all ships, but Liutana is not my thing so I started to ship Kuai and Kitana since the days of MK9, later I found fanfictions/fanarts of them together which fueled my ship.
My thoughts: I love them and canon or not, I will ship them forever. As I explained earlier, they have a lot in common and I don’t ship them just because they wear blue.
What makes me happy about them: The fact they have a lot of things in common so I can ship them freely.
What makes me sad about them: Nothing at all.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: When Kitana is depicted as a Mary Sue or a lady-in-distress. If there’s a thing that I love from her, is the fact that she has a lot of shortcomings and is not a perfect human being.
Things I look for in fanfic: A lot of fluffy. This may be cheesy, but I love Kuaitana fluffy fics. Neither am bothered by NSFW (or lemons if you want) fics as long as they are well written.
My wishlist: Not going to lie, but I don’t have one at all.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: While I know that my ship is not canon, I’m not totally repulsed to Liutana, Liu is a cool guy who cares about Kitana after all. Just merely not my cup of tea. And if Kuai ends with Hanzo in canon, I will be okay.
My happily ever after for them: With Kitana ruling a free Edenia as Queen alongside Kuai as a Prince Consort while he reconnects with his edenian roots.
003 | Give me a character & I will tell you:
How I feel about this character: About Kitana, she is not only my main since MKII and my favorite character of this fandom, she was the first female hero that I truly liked. Words cannot describe how much I love her. Her story is one of the most epic in the Mortal Kombat universe. After she discovers Kahn’s betrayal she stands up against him by doing what she thinks is the correct thing to do.
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: I have shipped her with Jade at some point in the past and Kuai Liang. But Kuaitana will be always my very first ship regarding Kitana.
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Her friendship with Jade. I love when positive female friendships are depicted in media. My favorite moment of them will be when Jade in MK9 literally defects from Shao Kahn after she witnesses Kitana being arrested after she discovers Mileena’s existence and the deception related from Kahn’s part.
My unpopular opinion about this character: Even if I like the idea of Kitana defeating Shao Kahn (after the hell she endured for his cause, he had it coming. He deserved to be humlliated by Kitana), I’m not fond of the idea of NRS of ditching her Edenian identity and making her Kahnum of Outworld. I will be forever positive to the idea of a free Edenia from Outworld ruled firstly by Sindel and later by Kitana after she inherits the throne from Sindel at some point.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: That her edenian identity were acknowledged by freeing Edenia when she killed Shao Kahn during MK11, and helping Sindel to rule her realm as a warrior princess with Jade or Ermac’s aid.
Favorite friendship for this character: Like I said before, Jade will be always Kitana’s best friend.
My crossover ship: I don’t have an oficial crossover ship for Kitana. But for some weird reason, I’m kind of open to ship her with Cammy or Rose from Street Fighter.

Mortal Kombat Fanfic Ideas
‘Cause after watching the Story Mode for Mortal Kombat 11, I’ve been hit by a ton of feels and needed to let them out before my candyfloss brain melted:
A series of ficlets where, just before Liu Kang and Kitana create a new timeline from scratch, various characters/OTPs (eg. Hanzo and Kuai, Ermac and Kenshi, Cassie and her parents, etc) are temporarily stuck in a purgatory-like void where they reminisce over everything that’s happened to them from MK9′s events onward, question what will become of them, and finally say their last farewells - or, possibly, “Until meet again” - in case they do/don’t ever see each other again in the new timeline.
Past!Jax and Jacqui Briggs talking about Takeda on the boat en-route to Shang Tsung’s Island, with Jax hearing about how they got engaged and how they want to plan their wedding, to how Present!Jax is still wary of Takeda marrying his baby girl and the possibility of being left alone on the farm. It can sort of end with past!Jax promising Jacqui to support her marriage to Takeda, and that when the time comes, he wants to walk her down the aisle.
A look at how Johnny Cage and Sony Blade reconciled between the events of MKX and MK11 (’cause God alone knows I wanna know how that happened).
A slashfic that also explains why Kung Jin isn’t in MK11: perhaps some time after the events of MKX, he pursues a romantic/sexual relationship with Erron Black, something which Dark Raiden and the Shaolin monastery don’t approve of (not so much because of his orientation, but more so because he’s seeing a member of Kotal Kahn’s court, making Black an enemy of Earthrealm). So Dark Raiden has Jin return to the White Lotus as punishment, and he can’t even help out in MK11. Then, in Liu Kang and Kitana’s new timeline, evil characters like Shang Tsung don’t exist, meaning Erron isn’t and can’t become immortal; he’s still born in the American Frontier years, and goes on to become one of the most famous outlaws in history, but eventually dies due to his normal human lifespan. Hundreds of years later, Jin - also alive in this new timeline - is a Law student/Shaolin monk-in-training. However, when he finds out about Erron Black in his research about past crimes and Earthrealm laws at a library (or in the Shaolin archives), he suddenly remembers that he knows this outlaw from somewhere, and the only possible person who can explain everything is Raiden. Cue all the angst, finger-pointing and even more angst.
Past!Kabal is apprehended by Special Forces after Sonya Blade’s chapter in MK11 (and directly after Kano’s death). He’s taken to an interrogation room of sorts, where Present!Johnny Cage is there to meet him. Kabal expects Johnny to torture and burn him alive, as Kano claimed would happen at the fight club. Instead, Johnny shows Kabal a picture of Stryker, explaining that the police officer was his partner (professionally and possibly romantically). Johnny tells him the truth about his burns and his becoming a revenant, and that if Kabal had continued his police training instead of joining the Black Dragon, perhaps he would have had a shot at true happiness, no matter how brief it lasted.
A slashfic about Kenshi and Ermac, and their last moments dying together in the Krypt, based on @paleicelight‘s stunning artwork.
Hanzo Hasashi recounts his entire life-story spanning from MK9 to MK11 ... in the style of Bridget Jones’ Diary.
Kitana reuniting with Sindel and King Jerrod in a peaceful Edenia.
A Hangover-type fic where, after Shinnok’s defeat in MKX, S-F, the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu clans have a raucous celebration ... come the next morning, Johnny and Sonya are suddenly married again after flying out to Vegas, Hanzo ends up with a mysterious love-bite on his neck, Jacqui thinks Takeda and Cassie hooked up after finding them in bed together, Raiden goes missing, Shinnok’s decapitated head is found lying in a puddle of beer (and may or may not be slightly tipsy), and Erron Black comes all the way from Outworld claiming that everyone at the palace has been frozen in ice and that someone stole his hat in the middle of the night. The only one who knows what’s going on is Kung Jin, who doesn’t drink. Of course, he’s not gonna explain what happened that easily.
Kuai Liang breaks down some time after fighting Noob Saibot, and Hanzo tries to comfort him, because he knows the pain of losing loved ones. Could be slash or not.
Smoke is alone and afraid in the Netherrealm, feeling like he’s been abandoned by Kuai Liang after all these years of suffering. Suddenly, Geras appears out of nowhere and tries to persuade him to join Kronika’s cause. In the process, Smoke either makes a genuine friend or “disappears” if he refuses.
Liu Kang and Kitana start out crafting the new timeline with good intentions. However, after a long while, they start manipulating time to suit their own needs, and repeatedly reboot the timeline when they see fit, even going as far as to erase their friends and allies from history altogether. In other words, they become the very thing Liu-liu defeated: Kronika ..
After passing on his protector duties to Liu Kang, Raiden feels at peace for the first time in years. After advising Liu Kang and Kitana in shaping the new timeline, he enjoys his mortal state and its little pleasures. From seeing the Kombat Kids moving onto new ventures in their lives, to seeing Earthrealm, Outworld, Edenia and all the other realms working together, Raiden can’t be any more happier. By the time he dies - in a warm bed at the Sky Temple, perhaps surrounded by his friends and loved ones - he is truly at peace, and is ready for the joys of the afterlife.
A complete retelling of MK11′s Story Mode ... BUT with some of the missing characters from MKX. Picture it: Kronika brings back Mileena to help Shao Kahn (also by bringing her back, it appeases Shao Kahn and makes him trust Kronika more). However, Mileena is conflicted between helping Daddy Dearest when he’s indirectly working with D’Vorah, her executioner, or working with Kitana to take back Outworld’s throne - although that means working with Kotal Kahn, who also had a hand in her death. Meawhile, Reptile and Ferra/Torr are convinced by Kronika to join her in her cause, as they see the potential of their races coming back to life in the timeline reboot (seeing her bring back past kombatants solidifies their trust in her - if she’s got that kind of power, then surely she can restore their races without question). Kuai Liang and Hanzo bump into Noob Saibot and Revenant!Smoke at the factory: not only does it pain Kuai to see his brother still alive and quite evil, but to see his best friend - his brother in arms - working alongside Noob for Kronika’s cause just about breaks him. For the Jax and Jacqui story arc, instead of a crown of souls they have to fetch, it’s actually Ermac that Kronika’s really after (being a huge soul collective and all); given he’s still part of Kotal Kahn’s remaining court, the emperor has the construct protected; in steps Kenshi, who has an inkling that he and Ermac were close friends in a past timeline, so he picks himself to guard Ermac. This causes conflict with both past!Jax (who’s miffed about losing his arms) and present!Jax (who’s equally miffed PLUS needs to take Ermac - alive - to Kronika). Cue a conflict of interest also erupting between Kenshi and Jax, and how this may affect Takeda and Jacqui’s relationship. Meanwhile, Kung Jin is back with the White Lotus (possibly for the reasons above or not), and is able to help out after Dark Raiden’s demise: he fights alongside Kung Lao and Liu Kang (which has so much potential for family fluff, introspection on their past lives, discussion of cultural values, Jin’s homosexuality, etc), as well as assist S-F (maybe during the Black Dragons’ assault on S-F, or when they raid the fight club). With his knowledge, maybe Raiden and everyone could potentially find Kronika’s Keep a lot sooner than later. Also, “By the Elder Gods, Black, walking around in the Outworld sun did you no f****** favours in the future.”
Kabal settling down with Sareena, based on his Tower Ending ... ha ha, just kidding! As if I’d do something like that. XP
That’s it. I think that’s all I’ve got so far. I think it’s a decent-ish mix of drama, romance and humour.
Whether or not I will actually write these fics some day, I don’t know. But it’s fun thinking about the possibilities, especially after how MK11′s Story Mode broke me. ^3^

Bi-Han
How I feel about this character:
Look, the same as Vader, Bi-Han is one of my longest favs. As a kid, I loved MK movie and kept playing the game with my sister & cousins on every occassion. And man, playing it on arcade game during vacations is so good childhood memory! I love ice-themed characters, and Bi-Han (then known to me just as Sub-Zero) catched my attention on the first look. I love his no-nonsense attitude, his sarcasm and lack of social skills. I love that such cold-blooded killer is also pretty complex character, depending on the source, even sometimes heroic on his own way. Thinking about him, either as Sub-Zero or Noob Saibot always makes me happy!
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character:
None. For me, Bi-Han is aromantic/asexual to the core, interested only in two things: 1) keeping his little brother/closest friends allies alive and, as much as it’s possible, safe and 2) perfecting his skills. He cares, yes, but has like zero need for romantic relatonship, thank you very much.
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character:
His relationship with Kuai Liang is such roller coaster of emotions it’s hard to not love those two together as family, or bitter enemies! Lately I also get into Bi-Han & Sektor dynamic to the point, I feel like they could be much more close to each other than lack of screentime suggests. There is something really interesting how different and how similar they are at the same time. A traditionalist and techno geek. Cold bastards that cares way too much that it seems on first glance. I could go on for hours, really. Also, Bi-Han & Shang Tsung working together is always a fun thing to imagine. I mean, well spoken, polite old sorcerer and don’t caring about etiquette/social norms cryomancer sounds just about right! :3 Oh, and Noob Saibot, because cute murderous shadow, along ice and black armor, is my thing too.
My unpopular opinion about this character:
Dunno, if this unpopular opinion or not, but I think Bi-Han would be pretty good grandmaster. Like, not so open the way Kuai Liang is, but with far away from the opression nature of previous leader. Though he would hate to be in charge because that means dealing with other’s people problems and he really does not like that at all.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
I wish either to see more Bi-Han’s interaction with Kuai Liang or other Lin Kuei members or for Noob Saibot to actually get the respect his character deserves; as in: get some development and storyline that does not treat him as minor obstacle to beat down. There is so much stuff about Bi-Han/Noob connection to main (old) heroes and Netherrealm, it’s so shame it was never truly used in latest games.
Favorite friendship for this character:
I feel like repeating myself, because my fav no-romantic relationships to a large degree are the friendship I need so much.
Okay, with Shang Tsung, friendship may be too big word, but anyway...
Also, the friendship between comics!Hydro and Bi-Han is precious for me, since it seems like Hydro was the only one person around whom Bi-Han could be much open with his feelings and actually could show weakness, even if just for a moment. I like also Bi-Han/Noob & Sareena, as two traumatized people (or demons) thatdecided to take over Hell support each other in need.
My crossover ship:
I’m not really a shipper, but I would like some Naruto/MK crossover, so Bi-Han could meet Haku, a fellow ice warrior with special bloodline. Maybe it’s just me, but the Lin Kuei vs. Shirai Ryu kinda remind me the contrast of Kirigakure (Village Hidden by Mist) andKonohagakure (Village Hidden in the Leaves)

Jubei Lives AU Part 2/2: MKX
Remember this AU I made a awhile back? I finally manage to make part 2 of this. We’re diving into Mortal Kombat X territory. (Also, this AU will not extend to Mortal Kombat 11).
Here’s Part 1 for a refresher. This is a longer than the last one.
Enjoy:)
****
Several months passed since Jubei and Hanzo reunited. Shortly before the events Mortal Kombat X, Jubei returned to Special Forces, keeping contact with his father.
The first 7 chapters play out pretty much the same as it did in the game, with minor differences.
Jubei is assigned to help at the camp where refugees from Outworld’s civil war are staying. Cassie & her team return from their failed training exercise at the Lin Kuei grounds. Jubei greets them as Kenshi explains the situation. They all hear Li Mei’s story where she revealed that Shinnok’s amulet somehow is in Mileena’s possession.
Before Cassie’s team leave for Outworld, she and Jubei talk alone, since they were close by this point. Cassie expresses her doubts on leading her team but Jubei assures her that she more than capable and believes in her. They both gave a farewell, wishing each other luck.
Cassie’s team trip to OutWorld plays just the same as it did in-game. Jubei helps out with the OutWorld refugees. Sonya’s fight with Kano plays out the same.
Cassie’s team later helps Kotal and his crew take down Mileena. After she's executed, Kotal imprisons the team but they escape.
Chapter 8 is where things start to play out differently.
Word gets out about Quan Chi and his revenants lurking in the NetherRealm. Sonya assembles a team to ambush him, including recruiting Jax. Jubei volunteers to go on the mission. Sonya-reluctantly-lets him go after some persistence.
The team heads to the NetherRealm to meet up with Sareena to prep the ambush. Jubei is alone with his thoughts. Stories that his father told was the only thing crossing his mind. This is the place where Hanzo was reborn as a wraith, and soon he may come face-to-face with the person responsible for Hanzo's pain.
Kenshi and Jax took notice of Jubei’s distress as they go over to check on him. Jax, knowing Jubei’s relation to Hanzo, offers him a chance to turn back. Jubei insists them that he’s fine, that he feels unsure what to do if he comes directly across Quan Chi. The two men assure him that whatever happens, they'll do everything to bring in Quan Chi.
Cassie’s team calls to reveals D'Vorah's betrayal and has the amulet. The ambush and Jax's fight with revenant Kung Lao, Sindel, and Kitana play out the same. The Revenants fled, but Liu Kang and Quan Chi slipped passed SF. Jax decides to go after the pair, despite Sareena & Kenshi's warnings. Jubei offers to go with Jax as his backup, which the man agrees.
Quan Chi and Liu Kang made it to the fortress where they await D’Vorah when Jax arrives. He and Liu Kang have their fight. As Jax emerges as the victor, Jubei sneaks behinds Quan Chi. Just looking at the sorcerer was enough to send chills down his spine. Jubei didn’t show his fear, only giving Quan Chi an angry look until Jax knocks him out.
SF apprehend Quan Chi. While helping with the escort, Jubei hears that Hanzo is on the base. Throughout the events, Jubei had forgotten to keep contact with his father, leaving Hanzo worried. When he did manage to make contact with SF, they informed him that Jubei was in the NetherRealm. Of course, Hanzo was not happy to hear that, so he went to the base in hopes to intervene, but was too late. All he can do was wait.
A heated conversation follows between father & son. Hanzo reprimands Jubei for going on a revenge quest. Jubei rebuffs that saying that he didn’t do it for revenge, that he did it for Hanzo.
A silence follows before Johnny and Kenshi decided to take the two apart before things could get more heated. Johnny leads Jubei away while Kenshi does the same to Hanzo. Unbeknownst to them, Quan Chi manages to overhear the conversation.
Kenshi takes Hanzo away to a private space. Hanzo reveals his reasons. Since reuniting with his son, Hanzo grew a small fear of Quan Chi killing him, or that Jubei takes revenge and gets killed in the process. Kenshi tries to ease Hanzo’s worries by explaining that Jubei handled himself well on the mission. Kenshi suggests that should apologize to Jubei, to which Hanzo agrees but not before paying a visit to Quan Chi.
After getting permission from Sonya, and apologizing to her for his behavior, Hanzo speaks to the sorcerer alone. Quan Chi believes Hanzo came to gloat. Hanzo states that the sorcerer no longers has any control over him anymore, and he'll soon answer for his crimes. Before he leaves, Quan Chi brings up the conversation that Hanzo had with Jubei. Hanzo claims that Jubei was only a mere soldier, not wanting to reveal the truth. But Quan Chi presses on saying that the conversation Hanzo had more weight to have with a ‘mere soldier’. He then brings up that back in the fortress Jubei gave an angry look, the type he had only seen on Hanzo. The only way that possible is that Jubei is Hanzo’s son, specifically the one he believed died in the Shirai Ryu massacre all those years ago.
Hanzo gave him no words, though the expression of panic he tried to suppress was enough confirmation for the sorcerer to give an evil chuckle. He comments that Jubei would probably be a better servant than Hanzo. That resulted in Hanzo punching his face. Were it been months ago, Hanzo would’ve killed him on the spot, not caring about the consequences. Having Jubei back in his life allowed him to think more clearly. Before leaving the cell, Hanzo tells Quan Chi that he's only still alive because Raiden needs him to free the revenants. But when the time comes, he will end the sorcerer’s life.
Hanzo soon found Jubei alone. Hanzo apologizes for he acted. Jubei also apologizes for leaving Hanzo out of the loop. The reason he joined on the mission was that he wanted to give Hanzo peace by help capturing Quan Chi him. Hanzo states that no one is safe as long the sorcerer is around. Jubei reaffirms what he told his father months ago that nothing will come in between them.
Alarms suddenly blare near Quan Chi's cell. They rush over to see Johnny, Sonya, Kenshi, and SF members fighting off D’Vorah, the Revenants, and Quan Chi who is now free. Hanzo goes to deal with him while Jubei goes to help the others. Quan Chi reveals that he allowed himself to be captured so he could free Shinnok within EarthRealm. They fight each other with Hanzo emerging as the victor and demands Quan Chi to call off his attack. However, in the midst of the battle, D’Vorah takes Jubei hostage and threatens to kill him unless Quan Chi is let go. Johnny tries to save him but is knocked out by one of the Revenants.
Reluctantly, despite Jubei’s protests, Quan Chi is released. He and his followers leave for Raiden’s Sky Temple, taking Jubei & Johnny as hostages, threating to kill them if they're pursued.
Cassie’s team return shortly to see the destruction left behind. They learned what happened and it's up to them to save EarthRealm. Hanzo tries to go with them, despite the injuries he received from the brawl, muttering that he couldn’t lose his son again. Cassie and Takeda convince him to stay put, promising that they'll save Jubei.
Quan Chi’s group ambushes Raiden at the temple. The sorcerer taunts the Thunder God before heading into the Jinsei chamber in tow of D’Vorah and Johnny, leaving Raiden with the revenants, and Jubei. The revenants taunt Raiden before he fights back before he is overwhelmed. Jubei manages to free himself from his binds and goes to help The Thunder God fight them before telling Raiden to deal with Quan Chi.
Although reluctant to leave him, Raiden goes into the Jinsei chamber but he arrives too late. Shinnok has been freed from the amulet and imprisons Raiden. Before he infects the Jinsei, Shinnok proclaims that 'such a beautiful moment can't be rushed.' He then proceeds to torture Johnny and Raiden.
Chapter 11 happens as normal, except Cassie’s team plane is grounded due to malfunctions (since Shinnok hasn’t infected the Jinsei at this point). They are ambushed by Kotal Kahn’s forces and fight them off until Kuai Liang and the Lin Kuei arrives, having been alert by SF.
The team arrives at the temple to see the revenants guarding the entrance, and Jubei once again in their custody. When notices them, he attempts to distract the revenants by mocking them. Liu Kang sends Kung Lao and Smoke away while he, Kitana, and Sindel start beat Jubei. Cassie’s team took that moment the strike and take out the 3 revenants. Cassie & Jin tied them up, whilst Takeda & Jacqui free Jubei.
They learn from him that Shinnok is freed and in the Jinsei chamber. Cassie, Kung Jin, and Jubei rush in there, while Takeda & Jacqui stays out to deal with Kung Lao and Smoke.
The trio arrives to see Shinnok torturing Johnny. This prompt Cassie’s powers to awaken. A standoff occurs between Cassie’s and Shinnok’s group before a fight occurs. Cassie vs Shinnok, Kung Jin vs D’Vorah, and Jubei vs Quan Chi.
Cassie manages to defeat the former elder god thanks to her magic. Jin had trouble with D’Vorah but manage to take her down and goes to free Raiden.
Jubei has difficulty fighting the sorcerer due to his injuries. After he knocked on the ground, Quan Chi tells him that he plans to make him a revenant and to show him to Hanzo. He'll even make them fight to the death. Resulting in either Hanzo killing Jubei and living with the guilt, or Jubei killing Hanzo and he becomes a revenant.
Unknown to him, Jubei had a kunai of his own, gifted by his father, hidden. That statement was enough for him to pull it out, strike Quan Chi in the shoulder.
“GET OVER HERE, BITCH!” Echoed the chamber before Jubei pulls Quan Chi over and proceeds to beat the everloving shit out of him, proclaiming that he'll never harm his family ever again. In his final punches, he had one for himself, the Shirai Ryu, his mother, and his father for the knockout punch.
Once all three villains are now defeated, Jubei collapses from the physical and mental exhaustion. Cassie and Jin manage to catch him before he struck the ground. Before passing out, he asks them if they save the realm which Cassie replied with yes and that the Jinsei is left unscathed. Sonya and SF arrive soon after.
Jubei wakes up in the SF recovery room to his father on his side. Hanzo explained that Shinnok, D’Vorah, and Quan Chi are apprehended and that the revenants are in SF’s custody as well. He then tells his son that he is proud of his efforts to save the realm and defeating Quan Chi. They both say they love each other.
Cassie's team soon visit Jubei's to check on him. They offer him a spot on their team. Jubei asks Hanzo's opinion to which he states that he'll support whatever decision he makes. Jubei accepts the offer.
A lot happens during the next few weeks. Raiden takes Shinnok to the Elder Gods where he’ll be imprisoned under their close watch. Kotal Kahn makes peace with EarthRealm. Once the remaining Revenants are rounded up and restored, Quan Chi is given a summary execution carried out by Hanzo himself.
And all is well from there. Raiden doesn’t go dark. Quan Chi is out of the picture. The Revenants are alive. Hanzo and Jubei’s bond is stronger than ever. And more importantly, there's no Kronika. Everyone pretty much gets a happy ending.
The End.

How do all of your muses plan to spend Christmas this year? (if they celebrate it)
Kuai’s never really celebrated Christmas, but mostly because he didn’t grow up with it. He was rather sheltered from such things while he was growing up, because... why would the Lin Kuei ever bother celebrating? But Kuai would be delighted to celebrate it with loved ones, be it his clan or friends. He’d honestly just feel happy to be apart of something with people he cherishes.
Sareena, being a demon, doesn’t celebrate Christmas and finds it, along with most Earthrealm Holidays, kinda trivial. However, much like Kuai, she would attend a party or whatever if her friends wanted to invite her.
Cosmo is similar to Sareena as well, due to the fact that she’s not human, and an alien from a different planet, she doesn’t know about Christmas. However, if she found out about Christmas?? She would ABSOLUTELY love it!! She’d love the bright lights, Santa Claus, dinner and presents. She’d love watching the movies. And most of all?? Just to have fun with her friends, god, Cosmo would be love Christmas.
Little My has too many siblings and no money to give everyone presents, but she celebrates mostly at the Moomins’ household! Her favorite part of Christmas is not the gifts, nor the tree (even tho it’s fun to climb) but the BIG FEAST. Little My may be small, but she can eat A LOT.
#{ ✨ ; * ooc ! }#{ ✨ ; * inbox ! }#// I didn't write about Lammy but she's still a muse I'm on the fence about??#// I'd have to write her some times#// but she'd probably just have a very typical Christmas#// full of stress......

There are a number of people in some of my fandoms who aren't familiar with the AO3 tagging. I don't have the spell slots to post on each with "here's some tagging notes to help you make sure your fic is being seen and is searchable for the right people". For the Mortal Kombat fandom specifically, I'd call out: * Writers do not need to tag -- and IMO shouldn't tag -- for All Media Types as the fandom *unless* what you are doing crosses over all the movies, TV shows, video games, and comics. Given that we have at least four canons, this is unlikely. Everything *will* feed into it, but you don't need to explicitly tag it as the fandom. I asked a tag wrangler about this, and things showing up in one place and not another, and was told that we don't need to tag AMT specifically in MK. . Tag for the video games fandom / the 2021 movie / the 1995 movie / etc. and clarify further if needed. * use & for platonic relationships and use / for romantic or sexual relationships. Using "X" (e.g. CanonChar X OC, Sareena X Bi-Han) doesn't tell a reader what kind of relationship is being portrayed, and it also skews the Relationships tags, and if you have people using a skin or search criteria (e.g. excluding Sareena and Bi-Han in a sexual relationship) it won't populate correctly. Yes, I know X has been around for yonks; I used to write 5x13 fic. But AO3 doesn't use that format, so please if you're posting on AO3, use the AO3 formats. * Feel comfortable going back and editing your tags, especially if you realize you made a hiccup somewhere. Tags should be clear and help you catch the kind of audience you want, and help your readers decide if a fic is for them. Example - if I write a fic and used Hanzo Hasashi | Scorpion / Sub-Zero instead of Hanzo Hasashi | Scorpion / Kuai Liang | Sub-Zero as a tag, I'd go back and edit to just use the second (HH|S/KL|SZ). Otherwise the reader may not know if it's Kuai Liang or Bi-Han being talked about, and may be disappointed -- so rather than double-tag, I would drop the less-clear tag and put in the clearer one. Now, if my plot is "Hanzo and Sub-Zero hook up and later he doesn't know if it's Bi-Han or Kuai Liang, and then shenanigans and psychological drama ensues", the no-real-name tag is fine. I know MK has both, but IMO it serves more confusion rather than less for readers if both get tagged. My personal theory on tagging: I tag if: (a) I click in on a fic seeing X tag, and I would be happy with the amount of content it has, or (b) I'd be upset to find that amount of X in a fic and wish I'd've have been warned about it in a tag. This holds true for characters as well as things like kinks and potential phobias. If I was tagging Scorpion's Revenge, I wouldn't have tagged for Nitara -- cute cameo, but that's it. Maybe "Additional Minor Characters". I would have tagged her in the MK2021 movie, because while she has a minor role, it does serve story & character arc purpose.
I feel like there’s needs to be, like, handbook for authors who post on Ao3 for effective metatext.
By metatext I mean like tagging, summary, and authors notes (especially initial authors notes at the beginning of a fic). The means by which we communicate to our readers what they’re getting into.
Because we kind of all have to learn it by osmosis and there are conventions but nobody’s really taught them at the start, so there’s inconsistencies and misunderstandings or people just not knowing things through no fault of their own.
This ends up breeding frustration and confusion and in the worst cases resentment, hurt, and aggression.
I’m severely tempted to make such a handbook and get it circulating.
I think it would do fandom a lot of good.

I married a narcissist.
Krista,
I would like to begin by clarifying that since day one, I had the upmost respect for you and the person you thought you wanted to be. I referred to you as Kris and used he/him/his pronouns. I educated friends and family about your transition and supported it 100%. This may be “petty” but after realizing how little respect you have for me, I will refer to you as Krista.
I like to think of you now as nothing more than an illusionist. A narcissist? Sure. A sociopath? Absolutely. Honestly, I’ve used worse words to describe you. I’ve come to the conclusion that more than anything, you are a sad, pathetic, illusionist. You can trick someone into believing you really love them. It’s an effortless game to you. I thought I found something real. Your charming ways reeled me in from the beginning. What I found wasn’t real, I discovered nothing more than a monster. The worst kind of soul. The fucked up part about it all is that you aren’t the least bit remorseful. You’ve shown no sympathy or empathy whatsoever.
I moved to Virginia from Texas for love. That’s all. I chase love and I would do anything for someone I really care for. That makes me naïve but I know and accept that about myself. I can get heartbroken, bounce back and open my heart for someone else. I love to love. I love to be in love. I love giving the love I have yet to receive. I am a giver by nature. That is my Aries spirit. You knew this about me. You supported my move to Virginia for your own selfish gain. You were so conditioned to a certain privileged lifestyle; why not bait someone into marrying you? Sadly, you don’t have an ounce of love in your heart and you chose the right one, me. I am a naïve, care-free, loving young woman. You became my so-called “best friend”. This was the perfect formula of your next victim. You needed someone you could smartly convince to do and be anything for you. You’re a parasitic vampire. You suck and drain what you need from your unfortunate victims and leave them high and dry.
You and I are both well aware of the things that happened in our relationshit whether you choose to admit to it or not. It happened. I have proof. I lived through it. You can act like it didn’t happen. You can change the story. You can taint my name. I’ve accepted the fact that your family will always choose your side and they may never know what you did to me. They could be blaming me for all I know and that is okay. I know the truth and so do you. You will have to live with it for the rest of your life. So let’s recap, shall we?
Our journey began back in Sept/Oct 2015. There were miles between us, you were in Pensacola and I was in San Antonio, but we confided in each other and began building a relationship. I was going through a break up and you told me you were going through a divorce. We started talking every day, we talked on the phone and texted each other a lot. A couple weeks in, you decided you wanted to reconcile with your wife. I was hurt but I understood. It was bad timing for the both of us. I was okay with it. I did my thing in Texas and you did whatever in Florida. I was healing myself, getting more into my practice and I had my independence. I was fine. I was happy. I was even in a relationship by Feb/March of 2016. There were times you reached out to me; I remember distinctively in June 2016, you sent that “I miss you” text. I informed you I was in a relationship and didn’t want to talk to you. A couple months later, let’s say September 2016, I start thinking about joining the military, more specifically, the Navy. I talked to Sydnee first. A couple weeks later, I reached out to you about it. I learned that your divorce had just been finalized in August 2016. You sounded better and I was happy for you. I thought maybe this was our time. I have to acknowledge the fact that you went as far as making a trip to Kentucky for some little girl before it was even finalized. You talked to a couple girls before you got to me. I should’ve known then what kind of person you are but I didn’t want to hold that against you at the time. So, poor, desperate Krista thought that this was the ideal opportunity to reel me in. You asked me to call you and you knew you had me. Krista, you have a way with words and you are well aware of your skill. You are so gifted with the way you can get into someone’s head and fill it with lies. That power alone makes you dangerous. It makes me nauseous and disgusted to think that this was the kind of person I was going to spend the rest of my life with and do anything for.
I like to believe that I really got to know you before moving out here. Obviously, I was mistaken. That was just another one of your devious strategies to pull me in. After my visit in October 2016, I decided to stay and that’s when the “real” Krista came out. Then again, was that really you? Do you even know who you really are? I uprooted my entire life for an illusion. I believed in this illusion. I believed in you and I believed in this relationshit. Lies. Smoke and mirrors. That’s what I received in exchange for my genuine love. You lie so much you start believing it. You filled my head with stories, maybe fantasies. You even told me you used to drive for the Cartel and you’ve killed people before. I never believed these fairy tales you came up with. I rarely entertained it. You believed it though and I listened. I would ask myself questions and nothing you ever told me would add up. That’s when you’d get angry.
I was officially moved in with you in November 2016. Chelsi had moved out and blessed us with our own space. That’s when it all started to unfold. We fought. A lot. Our communication sucked. Let me remind you why we fought so much though. Sareena. She was the main reason. I would even ask you if you had enough time to get over her. Your response was always the same. You had your time, your relationship had been over for months, you didn’t care about her, she was crazy, she used all your money, she cheated on you and you didn’t want anything to do with her. More lies. We would get into screaming matches about this girl. You hated being confronted about her. You were so defensive. You would get so angry that you would punch the walls, slam the doors, drive off, and there was one time you kicked and broke the bottom of the bedroom door. Not even a month later in December, you were putting me out of “your” house. You threw all my belongings on to your bed, told me to get the fuck out of your house, told me you were done, and you didn’t give a fuck. The best part? You called your dad to send you money to send me on my way. You came back home and threw $300 in my face and wanted me out. You watched me pack all my things into my car and did nothing but sat there in silence and changed all your passwords to your phone and computer. That was clearly more important to you. (You always resorted to doing that. Evidently, material things meant the most to you.) This all happened because I asked you about Sareena. To me, something didn’t add up. Instead of owning up to the truth, you made me feel like I was crazy for even asking that. You made it a point to make me feel stupid, worthless, and like I was nothing. I was crazy for putting things together and catching you in your lies. You made Sareena out to be this bitter, psychotic, ex-wife that wanted to ruin us. When all along, you were talking to her and telling her you missed her and that I meant nothing to you. I don’t know Sareena well but I don’t believe she is as bad as you make her out to be. She is probably damaged from the lies you fed her. You were in fact, stringing her along while I was in Virginia living with you with a cheap ass Wal-Mart ring on my finger. You know it and I know it. You never wanted to end any contact with her. You made me look like a complete idiot sticking up for you and telling her off when all she ever told me was the truth. She basically warned me and I chose your side. Unfortunately, I accepted your fake apologies and had sympathy for your pitiable cries. By the way, you are a great actress. You fooled me for the most part.
I should’ve been done with you at this point. We had a toxic relationship that was going nowhere fast. I ignored all the red flags, I ignored the signs, I ignored my deepest intuition. On January 12th 2017, we got married. The universe was probably looking at me like WHAT. THE. FUCK. At one point, I genuinely did care and love you. It showed. I fell for a monster and her wicked games. I’m a smart woman and it took a while to accept the whole “husband works and wife stays at home” thing. I was raised to be independent and I never agreed with fully allowing you to “take care” of me. I hated the idea of someone paying my bills and buying my love. At the same time, I was now someone’s wife. I wanted to be a good little “Stepford” wife. We started planning our fall October wedding while keeping our marriage a secret. I didn’t realize it then but, I was slowly beginning to lose myself into you. I quit my job in February 2017. I hated it and was planning to look for something else. At the time, your mental health issues were priority. There were times I had to leave work because of you. I quit work to be available 24/7 for you. It’s crazy that I was ever called selfish in this relationshit. I always put you before myself and did anything in my power to try to help you. I was an obedient housewife. When I started to bleach and color my hair, THAT WAS A DEFINITE CRY FOR HELP. I broke my hair off and pushed it to its limits. It helped to keep my mind off things while I wasn’t working in a salon. I was so wrapped up in caring for you and trying to heal you that I lost myself. I was good for posting fake happy pictures on social media. I pretended that I was fine and that my relationship was fine because in reality how embarrassing is it to share that I was putting up with all of this? I couldn’t tell my friends or my family anything because I whole-heartedly believed that what happened in our marriage stayed between us. I let a lot of things slide with you. I started ignoring the things that wouldn’t add up. I tried my hardest to believe you and trust in you. Little did I know, I was only digging a deeper hole for myself. I started drinking more to numb the fact that THIS was my married life. I am grateful for essentially saving myself and leaving when I did. I only regret not leaving sooner but that’s okay.
We moved into our new townhome in July 2017. Later I found out that it was always just “your” house. It was never mine. This summer was full of lots of beach trips, pool trips and we can’t forget our numerous trips to Florida. You kept me from seeing my family in Texas. There was always some excuse of why we couldn’t go but we always made time to see your family in Florida. I digress. Your townhouse was amazing but let’s not forget who turned it into a home. You were spoiled. We had everything we could ask for. You always came home to home-cooked meals, a clean house, clean laundry and Isis was always taken care of. I would set up baths for you and even put in a lot of effort into fixing our marriage by doing a lot of little things to help you through your depressing times. I was your faithful servant. It was your home, your phone, your furniture, your everything. I allowed myself to be easily controlled. You knew you could hold that over my head and rip it away from me whenever you wanted. You fed off of this. Sick fuck. You threatened me so many times. You ensured I knew who the fuck you are, what you were capable of and that I am nothing without you and the things you could provide for me. What kind of “man” treats their wife like this? I had nothing to my name besides my car and my belongings from Texas. And you knew this.
In August 2017, our relationship only continued to get worse. I knew it was time but I had a lot to think about. You told me it was my decision to move here. You were right. I found it funny how you could throw that in my face yet, you were crying and begging me to stay at the airport when I was about to go back home. I. HAD. NOTHING. I didn’t even have a bed. One night after going to bed late cause we were up arguing, you were sleepwalking. I was awake, I couldn’t sleep. When you got up, it scared me. I was scared for my safety because you were already at the point where you’d hear and see terrible things. WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD’VE HAPPENED HAD I NOT BEEN AWAKE?! I didn’t know how to help you anymore, you were only getting worse. I’m not a professional and that’s what I believed you needed. I wanted you to admit yourself to Portsmouth. Krista, I was genuinely worried about your safety as well as mine. But surprise, surprise, after waking you up from sleepwalking, we got into another heated argument. I recorded the things you said to me. It was time to start protecting myself. I only had myself. You said, “if you’re here by the time I get back, we’re going to have some serious problems.” I didn’t respond to anything you were saying. I sat there, quiet and just took it. You asked for the ring back and wanted me out. It wasn’t any different from our other fights. I continued to take all this mistreatment from you. It did detrimental things to my mind, body, and soul. I started to believe awful things about myself as a result of the words I let you feed into mind. I’m not a perfect person, I never claimed that. I contributed to fights by yelling and cussing. I know my communication skills suck. I know I can be mean as hell. Do I believe I deserved any of this? Absolutely fucking not. No one deserves this. The icing on the cake was when you decided to pack up and leave for just about three weeks. You left out details of your whereabouts like where you were going and who you were with. I knew you didn’t respect me before but this really sealed the deal. You told me about some guy friend you were staying with which was another lie. You had made new friends, Nicole Preston and Samantha. You went out, did what you wanted and expected me to be home when you were done. I found messages between you and a girl you used to fuck named “Devon Taylor” but at that time I was on my way to moving on. You left me abandoned and neglected at “your” house. When all this started happening I was in the first week of my new job. Without your financial help and sense of concern, I started working my ass off. There were days I worked 10-13 days in a row. I barely had an appetite, I was losing weight and replacing food with alcohol. No one really knew that though. By August 24th, I dusted myself off and moved on. I was beginning my healing journey. I got home from work one evening and you were there. My anxiety was on 10. I tried to avoid being home when you were there. You were always drunk and smoking hella cigarettes in your room. That night, you referred to me as your wife and wanted to talk to me, hold me and be around me. I was disgusted. I wasn’t falling for it at all. You were drunk and desperate for my attention. You tried to block me from leaving the house while trying to make me talk to you. At this point you were telling Devon that I was nothing but a crazy bitch. After all I put into this relationshit, that’s how you would refer to me to your next victims. There was definitely a pattern here. You would taint my name to make yourself look good to whoever would listen. That was the last straw for me. I had to get out of the house. I didn’t feel safe anymore. Luckily, I was able to move in with generous friends. They took me in their home and out of a bad situation. I could never thank them enough for that.
So by the end of August, I had an amazing support system, I had my job, my things, my car, a place to stay and a new found love. Things were looking up for me. There was only one thing holding me back and that was divorcing you. After being informed about you abandoning your wife and withholding BAH from me (money you wouldn’t have if we weren’t married), Fleet&Family suggested I try to get a hold of your sorry ass chain of command. I learned very quickly that the Navy looks out for their sailors no matter the circumstance. I took our case to family advocacy and they were no help. Apparently our case didn’t meet the requirements to be further investigated. Cool. I used all of my Navy resources, spoke to legal assistance and spoke to so many different people but in the end nothing was done. No one was hearing me or trying to help. I had a property settlement/separation agreement from legal assistance, it was my right to ask for spousal support. You didn’t agree and refused to sign it. I took it to court and you didn’t show up. Apparently, you couldn’t find the correct courtroom. You made sure to call me that morning and let me know you weren’t trying to fuck me over. You told me you would go ahead and file for divorce in Florida and pay for it so I didn’t have to worry about it. I was stupid to trust you with that. I wanted to give up. Eventually, I did. I started focusing on how blessed I was to have my support system, Chelsi, and my job. I have them to thank for getting me through this and being there for me. A few weeks later, in December 2017, you resorted to disrespecting me and calling me names. Not surprised. All I asked was if you had filed yet but, you were so upset that Chelsi was in my life. It killed you to see me happy, flourishing and growing in love with her. I realized how much time I wasted by trusting you to take care of the divorce.
It’s a whole new year. January 2018. I took matters into my own hands. This divorce was long overdue so I began the process all by myself here in Virginia. It was stressful but I knew it was going to be well worth it in the end. It is now the last week of February 2018 and GUESS WHAT?! I’m finally getting my divorce! It has been a long, stressful and emotional ride. The universe has been looking out for me and my support system.
With all this being said, I just feel sorry for you, Krista. I always will. You are a coward. You never had the courage or decency to admit you were talking to Sareena yet, I’m a hoe for being with Chelsi. Funny. You were playing me from the start, we both know that. You married me for your own benefit. There was never any love or care from you. You couldn’t even tell me you were out of the Navy and on your way to Florida when you still had unfinished business here in Virginia, like I don’t know, your divorce? Speaking of Florida, I will always cherish your mother’s way of trying to make me feel accepted into the Whitaker family, how she supported us financially at times and especially how she pretended to care about my feelings. What I will always remember about Ms. Joanna is how she jokingly said I got married to get my green card. FYI, I was born in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. This may be a shock to most people but I am 100% American. I didn’t entertain her ignorance then and I won’t start. Anyway, thank you Ms. Joanna and the Whitaker family for the fun outings we had in Florida. I did appreciate them and the financial help.
Krista, good luck in life. Lying your way to the top and out of situations seems to work well for you. You only survive by preying on young women. Your form of enjoyment is breaking them down and re-molding them into who you want them to be. Fortunately, I escaped before it was too late. I was hurt. I was sad. I was depressed. I stopped taking care of myself. More than anything, I was angry for allowing this to happen. I’m still working through the motions, repairing what you broke. Don’t get it twisted though, YOU DID NOT BREAK ME DOWN. I left before giving you that power. I know not giving you that power hurt you to your core. I was raised to be resilient and rise up with my head held high when I get knocked down. I do have to thank you though. Without you, I wouldn’t have met great new friends or reconnected with old friends. I’m living closer to my family than I ever have. In fact, you introduced me to the real reason I moved here for. Chelsi has been patiently assisting me in my healing process. She has been nothing but a true blessing after you. She couldn’t even believe all the things that happened behind closed doors. To be completely honest, it should’ve been her. It was always her but the universe felt like I needed to learn a lesson. So we shared a drunken kiss March 2017, cry me a river! We stopped having sex, you wouldn’t even look at me like you were attracted to me, and all we knew how to do was put each other down. Even then, after we kissed, I cut her off and told you about it because I saw it as cheating. But what were you doing to me throughout our entire relationship? Oh okay. No regrets. The universe was working on bringing Chelsi and I closer together. I am not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed that kiss and I felt something for her then. My dumb ass stuck by your side though and tried gaining back your trust. I digress. I’m not perfect. I made my mistakes. This marriage was sadly the biggest mistake I ever made. The universe did bring me to Chelsi under the most trying circumstances. I guess God & Goddess really do have a sense of humor. I knew it was her when I first moved here but I was wrapped in this relationshit. Anyway, I learned my lesson. I learned so much from this “marriage”. I can’t bring myself to regret any of it though. I was in love. I would still do anything for love. I know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I’m being shaped into a force, only growing better and stronger. I am happy with where I am at in life. Even though this experience put me back in therapy, I am a step closer to fully healing from it all. You didn’t win, Krista. You didn’t get to keep me. YOU DID NOT WIN. I will learn to forgive you, eventually. For now, I’m choosing to let go of your entire existence.
A huge round of applause for the illusionist. And a huge thank you for introducing me to my blessing and surrounding me with amazing, loving, caring friends. They continue to support me through all of this. I will always be grateful for the people that enter my life to teach me things and open my eyes, including you. I wish you peace, love and light. I wish you the ability to let love into your heart. Goodbye, Krista.

Golden years!Au: Some Headcanons about the Kombat kids own kids
* Vera did inherit her father’s telepathy but not the telekinesis(Its fairly week but is amplified with Sento) in the sense that is able to communicate with people and read minds, but hers developed into a unique ability to essentially replicate and absorbed the knowledge and skills of others minds she reads long enough.
* She uses the rope and weapon style similar to that of Mk1 Scorpion minus the fire powers obs. However it’s more like a cowboy lasso style because Grandpa Jax showed her a fuck ton of westerns when he babysat her.
* She is basically a ninja cowgirl because of this
* She has one of the weird horned green zebras foals from Outworld that Kuai Liang and Hanzo gave to her as a birthday gift. Jaquci is pretty sure they stole it from the Royal stables or something but never asked because Vera was so happy.
* She named that damm Horse princess Murderhooves
* Kenshi is fucking scared of it
* She ends up being about 5’11 when she is older
* She and Murderhooves have matching cowboy hats
* Ro and Lance are twins, Lance is the oldest.
* Both inherited both the green glow and cyromancy but at different rates, Ro has the more powerful cyromancy but the green glow is weaker and vice versa with Lance.
* Ro uses posions and other concoctions she uses in battle that she grows in a garden in her room at the Lin Kuei temple. She uses a bladed polearm as well made from her cyromancy primarily.
* She is great at skating, ends up using cybernetic rollerblades on her feet to get around fast in battle
* Lance for the most part uses throwing spikes made from his cyromancy as it’s not as strong but can land in vital areas easier
* He is more of a physical brawler with a fighting style similar to Kuai Liang and Johnny in a sense, more flexible kicking amplified by the green glow.
* The two would fight over Johnny’s movies and rather if they good or not, Lance hated them and Ro loved any cheesy action movie
* Lance is the shorter twin tho because Ro’s last growth spurt got her to 6 foot while he got stuck at 5’9
okay, gotta say, I love your ocs, and if I may add on?
The one kinda awkward thing for the kombat kids' kids (might need a name for that group?) is that Bi-Han, Sareena, and Johnny have two kids who are around their age, Jiahao and Lian (named after Bi-Han's father and sister)
Jiahao uses a bow and doesn't carry any arrows, instead using his cryomancy
Lian uses daggers and takes after her mother in having a demonic form.
Both have the green glow which Cassie pretends to be annoyed by.
Vera and Lian get along like a house on fire
Jiahao spends a lot of time chasing after the twins to try and keep them out of trouble.
Hanzo is also reminded of his own youngers siblings, Hana and Ryuji, who were twins, whenever he sees Ro and Lance
anyway, I love your headcanons, pls keep em coming (only if you want too tho)
