Black Max Victory Robo Set
This is actually one of those toys I didn’t own as a kid, but my neighbor did and I went over to his house to play with it. Personally, I had the Omega Megazord (Victory Mars). I wasn’t exactly sure if I wanted to pick up Liner Boy or not, but I’m glad I did, as I forgot how cool Max was. Now I feel compelled to pick up Grand Liner, though. You can normally find one pretty cheap, but they’re never in great condition.
The Good: Apart from each machine being simple and fun, the real selling point of this set is the combined mode. I had forgotten that Liner Boy makes up almost the entire visual mass. It’s still a neat effect, regardless, and even in its traditional colors it creates a cohesive design. There’s a lot of really cool expanding of parts going on with the legs and the shoulders.
The Bad: My one complaint is that you have to pull Liner Boy in half to fold his head out, and then reattach it in the same place. Feels superfluous.
On a personal note, I bought this now because I found one on sale for about a third its typical going rate, and even with insane speed shipping it was still over $100 less than new. The reason I got it that cheap, though, is because one of Victory Robo’s shoulders is jacked up. One of the screw holes is shattered, and the shoulder ratchet spring is forcing it apart. When it’s in the combined shoulder it’s fine, and it seems fine even outside of that, though it doesn’t look nice. If anyone knows a good fix or a brand of recommended glue, I’d like to know. Thanks in advance.
Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy this one. It’s over 20 years old at this point, but is still fun and outdoes some newer releases in my book. This is also another great example of good used toys. No matter how cheap it seems, always give it a look; that’s my advice.

Lightspeed Upgrade (Open RP)
Carter and Joel stand in the middle of the old airfield. Off to one side, a squadron of Lightspeed Rescue technicians are monitoring their heart rates, breathing and stress reactions, and aside from the fact that they’re both shirtless in a cool breeze, neither one is particularly stressed.
“Hey, thanks for agreeing to come down to watch us test this out.” Joel smiles to the audience. “If you didn’t come here to see a couple of old Rangers show off their abs, just wait a few minutes. We’ve got some new gear to show off.”
Carter holds up a hand. “This gear is based on the design of the Max Solarzord, Terra Venture’s Energite shieding array and...” His smile is half as big as Joel’s. “And you don’t really care about the details, do you? All right. Here we go.”
He and Joel activate their morphers to change into their ranger suits even taking time to pose for the cameras their techies are using before triggering the next phase.
“Lightspeed Rescue: Photon Charge Mode!” They say at the same time, and their suits are soon covered in expanded combat armor, covered in iridescent solar panels.
“All right. The connection to the Grid is stable. We need someone to test the suit’s reactive properties. Any volunteers?” Carter asks.

Better make it a Lightspeed Rescue!
Power’s on its way. Rangers save the day.
Mighty Morphin started it all and I loved it as a kid. But Lightspeed Rescue is my favorite season of Power Rangers, ever!
And no disrespect to Tommy Oliver, who is very good, but Carter Grayson is the greatest Ranger of all time!
I’m sorry if you’ve been lead to believe otherwise. ;)
Original.
Enlarged.
The signal is calling Lightspeed Rangers Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, and Titanium.
The Zords are Lightspeed Megazord, Lightspeed Megazord with Saber, Max Solarzord, Lightspeed Solarzord, Lightspeed Solarzord firing Hip Cannons, Omega Megazord, Omega Megazord with Battle Staff, and Supertrain Megazord.
In the first episode, before he morphed for the first time, Carter tried to run over the monster with a Humvee. Enough said.
PS. If you were thinking there was a problem with the scale of the Supertrain Megazord to the others, there isn’t. It really is that huge!

❝ Titanium Power! ❞
Ryan Mitchell is the Titanium Ranger of the Lightspeed Rangers & pilots the Max Solarzord. When Ryan was young, he was involved in a car accident along with his father and his sister. All three were suspended over a cliff. Captain Mitchell had a secure grasp of Dana, but Ryan was hanging on by his father's shoe. The spirit of Diabolico appeared and offered a deal: Diabolico would save the child, but in payment he would raise the child himself, and Captain Mitchell would not see him again until his 20th birthday. Captain Mitchell at first refused, but relented when Ryan began to fall. Diabolico's spirit saved him.
Diabolico, who poisoned his mind telling him that his father had rejected him, favoring Dana, instructed Ryan to steal the prototype Titanium Morpher from the Aqua Base and destroy the other Power Rangers (including his sister Dana) with the Titanium Power. He nearly succeeded, becoming the Titanium Lightspeed Ranger. After some recall of his memories, Ryan rejected Diabolico and joined the Lightspeed Rangers.
After a while, Ryan left to find more information about the demons and how to defeat them, although he left the team with the Max Solarzord to use if they required the extra firepower. He eventually returns to the team to tell them about Queen Bansheera's plan to bring back the demons. Ryan later aided the Lightspeed Rangers in defeating Bansheera once and for all.

Lightspeed Solarzord
The Lightspeed Megazord and Max Solarzord could combine into the Lightspeed Solarzord. In this form, the Solarzord could absorb energy from the sun and most enemy attacks to charge its weapons. The main weapons are two cannons mounted on the hips, which when fully charged can destroy almost anything.
