one thing that doesn’t get talked enough about in volleyball is trying to match your practice attire. you can wear a black top with navy blue shorts, but you can never wear a navy blue top with black shorts. it just isn’t done. you also have to match your socks, kneepads, shoes, and ankle braces or else it looks uber tacky. not to mention, if your team shoes are a hard colour to match, you can literally only wear those colours without looking stoopid. i think the biggest culprits of the navy on black combo are akaashi, hinata, iwaizumi, sakusa, lev, and oikawa. their teammates tell them all the time that they shouldn’t go out in these colours in that order, and yet, they still do. i just don’t think they’d care all that much.
