The basis for our faith is in what Jesus did through His death and resurrection. And by taking the focus off of the law, Jesus puts it on Love. So if we love God, and we love each other, we will not sin, because “Love does no harm to its neighbor" - and all of the commandments do hang on these two - so by doing these two we naturally do uphold and establish the law. Love produces obedience. Jesus said “if you love me, keep my commandments.”
When Jesus is stating, what we have come to refer to as, “the Beatitudes,” we can see that these even take the law up a notch. They are actually more strict than the law. Jesus says that the law commands “do not murder,” but Jesus says “do not even hate someone or it’s the same as committing murder.” He points out that the law commands “do not to commit adultery” - but Jesus says that “to lust is the same as adultery in our heart.”
Jesus said Himself that “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.” (Matthew5:17) to fulfill us to finish, complete. And when He speaks of the law He says “till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” But He has satisfied it for us, and for this we have so great a reason to be grateful people.
If He was going to nullify it why would He write it on our heart?! He wrote it there to cause it to be a part of us, which brings it about naturally and brings us out from under the law of sin and death.
The law that was abolished was “the law of sin and death” - He was not saying we can live however we want now - He came to put His Spirit in us so we have the power available to live according to His teaching. In His love He has supplied what His love demands. “His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue” (2Peter1:3)
We do not have to struggle any more now that we have His power, and we no longer have the death penalty due to sin. If you have ever read through the book of Leviticus, then I’m sure, like me, you walked away with a whole new appreciation for freedom from sin and for forgiveness. Jesus took all of that for us. And now He transforms us from the inside out so that we want to follow Him in every way. Love makes everything easy. This is why Paul said - after going on and on about being out from under the law of sin and death; “Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law!” Romans 3:31
To establish is to “make to stand, place, set up, establish, appoint; set in balance, stand, stand by, stand still; met: I stand ready, stand firm, steadfast.

Jesus second teaching with Matthew ( Teaching about the law )( Matthew5:17 - 20)
After Rabbi had told us about the teaching that is about salt and light. Rabbi had decided to give me and my fellow brothers one more teaching about the Law. Once again, I was trying to predict n my mind what is Rabbi going to teach, “ Is he going to teach us about the Law of the world or the Law of Heaven?” Rabbi started the teaching with, “ Do not misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.” Me and my brothers were puzzled once again from Rabbi’s teaching. He continues, “ I will tell you the truth until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail about God’s law will definitely disappear until it’s purpose has been fulfilled.” After what Rabbi said, we started to understand what is Rabbi teaching about, but there is more, “ So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws, teachings and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom in Heaven.” As expected, doing good on this very earth can give an amazing reward after that, but sadly Rabbi said there is a plot - twist. “ But I must warn you, unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heavens.” And that is where the teaching ended with full understands from me and my fellow brothers. After Rabbi done resting and teaching us, we all went back down to the crowd of people below the mountain side. ( Matthew5:17 - 20 )

Ephesians 4:26-27 In your anger do not sin”Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Psalm 4:4Tremble and[a] do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Matthew5: 1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. 13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom #TheMindTheHeartTheWalk https://www.instagram.com/p/CLlKLtPnDtXJmieL-2sQ2WULvKN9bGPwH8O4L80/?igshid=zsplt6q4gdh8

Day 10 of Commentaries on the Words of Jesus from the Book of Matthew By J. C. Ryle The Lord Jesus calls those blessed, who hunger and thirst after righteousness. He means those who desire above all things to be entirely conformed to the mind of God. They long not so much to be rich, or wealthy, or learned, as to be holy. Blessed are all such! They shall have enough one day. They shall "awake up after God's likeness and be satisfied." 1 Corinthians 3:16-23
16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age,you should become “fools” so that you may become…
