Some unbelievers hear the "good news" gospel of Christ message, and they joyfully ask God to send Jesus into their hearts... But they are only a Christian in their mind, with no heart rejuvenation... Doubt Plus Fear Produces Unbelief
The world is filled with uncertainty, cynicism, humanism, and atheism. Many, who practice genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, are vilified as ignorant, simple minded, and uninformed. Yet, truly God desires to be personally involved through the ups and downs of his children’s faith journey! Today, the unchanging spiritual law that God performs miracles is still a reality, when we confidently hear, receive, and believe the Word of God, while standing on the authority of Jesus Christ. Yet, when it comes to faith, as believers we are all at various stages of confidence in Jesus Christ. That is we are at different spiritual levels of leaning, relying, and trusting in Christ ability to heal, guide, and meet us at our point of need. Many Christians do believe, welcoming and accepting with joy God’s promises, but when delay, affliction or trouble arises, and Satan questions God’s goodness, and opens the way for deceptive fear to enter our heart and mind-we become tempted to pull away, distrust, and not believe in the powerful authority we have inherited in Jesus name. When fear and doubt set up unbelief in our heart and mind, it is the desire of God to change our thoughts of doubt with His Word of Truth and push out fear through a loving, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus, who is perfect Love, has the power to cast fear out of our hearts (1John4:18). When a tiny seed of faith is planted in our hearts, the ground must be favorable and the soil well plowed. Otherwise, the seed of divine faith planted in each of us will not be able to grow. It is God’s will to grow us into flourishing spiritual tree’s, nourished by the Son, and watered by His Spirit that we may bring forth spiritual fruit (Gal 5:22-23) in due season. It takes seasons of sunshine and rain to mature a tiny seed into a tree that shelters from the storm. Our faith grows and matures in a similar fashion; it takes time and trials to grow into consistent, stable, expecting, believers. We will never arrive, but we will continue to keep pressing forward in the Spirit. God, who is the author and finisher of our faith, desires to grow us up, as we continue to draw close to Jesus, and take hold of the Word of truth. Then, in time, we will become one heart and mind with Him! Then, when we truly believe we will receive our miracle! “And He did not do many works of power there, because of their unbelief [lack of faith in the divine mission of Jesus]”(Matthew13:58 amp).

This picture encapsulates all that has been downloaded into me. We have to be willing to take the leap and trust God. There are somethings going on in my life right now that I just cannot understand, or can do nothing about naturally. All that I can do is completely trust God. I was reminded how I don't need to worry, because my God always provides. I just have to keep gaining understanding of His Word, keep confessing His Word, which then develops my trust in Him, and produces. I'm reminding myself to completely surrender to God. Even as I write this, I'm fighting the thoughts in my head, and allowing the Word to saturate me. Allow it to do the same for you. #transformwog #transformingthoughts #completelytrustinginGod #Romans12:2 #Matthew13:23 #Matthew7:24-25 #notetoself#thanksagainpastorjarronconeal

One Minute Reflection – 27 July – Friday of the Sixteenth week in Ordinary Time, Year B – Today’s Gospel: Matthew 13:18–23
“As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the word and understands it; he indeed bears fruit, and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”...Matthew 13:23
REFLECTION – “Indeed, you all know how land is cultivated.   First of all you pull out the weeds and throw away the stones, then you work the ground itself.   You do it again a second time, a third time and finally… you sow.   Oh, let it be like this in our souls!   First of all let us uproot the weeds, that is to say our evil thoughts;  then take out the stones, in other words all our malice and obstinacy.   Finally, let us work our hearts with the plough of the Gospel and the ploughshare of the cross.   Let us break it by repentance, turn over the soil with almsgiving and with charity, prepare it for the seed of Our Lord… that it may joyfully receive the seed of the divine word and bring forth fruit, not just thirty but sixty and a hundredfold.”...St Caesarius of Arles (470-543) Monk & Bishop (Sermons to the people, no.6 passim ; SC 175)

PRAYER – A pure heart create for me O God, put a steadfast spirit within me! (Ps 50[51]) Lord God, bestow a full measure of Your grace to us.   Keep us within in the path of Your commandments, help us to work on the earth of our souls, rooting out the weeds and casting forth the stones of malice.   Grant that by the prayers of St Pope Celestine, who faced so many stones of heresy, we may succeed in attaining sanctity.   Through Christ, our Lord, in union with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever, amen.
