remember how in the third episode of series five eleven started beating a dalek with a wrench screaming about hatred and for it to kill him like. i feel like it is only in retrospect that people noticed the deep rage that eleven is carrying under the high energy almost fantastical youthful facade that matt smith brings so skillfully to his take on the doctor, but that darkness isn't even hidden, it is almost always moments away from the boiling point just under eleven's skin

Personally I adore Santi's entire dynamic with the entire team. I think one of the first posts I ever did on this blog called him the "Markiplier" of the Team, the pretty man with a masochistic edge, which I think is marketing genius. If you think about it, he's the newest host coming in with the least audience familiarity/screen time (Lee and Amy are Theorist old timers and Tom has his own audience since he's a streamer). He had to make a big impression pretty quickly and coming in hot as the disaster of a man that he is was just perfection.

Tom is unfairly hard on himself regarding his improv skills because I think he does GREAT with Santi. I think he's most comfortable with verbal jokes and innuendos because he teases Santi all the damn time on insta--which is the only reason I'll recommend following any influencer there. They both appear incredibly comfortable with each other and that dynamic is what's gonna save the channels honestly. I think it sets Game Theory up to be the older highly intellectual one, and Food Theory is that frat bro who you see doing keg stands on the weekend and yet still comes in Monday morning to ace the organic chemistry test. You want to see them interact because they're such opposites. The audience yearns for the bromance.

For the record shipping doesn't bother me--but if it bothers anyone, you too can block #theoristshipping because I don't want to hear someone whine about it later (*fingerguns*).

The more I think about it, the more I realise how much I prefer 11 over to 10 and 14. Matt Smith is such a wonderful, underrated and talented actor, and although he didn't always have the best scripts, he made do with what he had and he made it work.

He had the wonderful balance of capturing his Doctor's darker and lighter moments, and yet still maintaining that message about kindness and friendship.

In other words, I miss the Eleventh Doctor.

Okay, hear me out. I think that 11, Amy and Rory met a post library River. Or at least post Husband's of River Song.

Why? You may ask.

Because of one piece of dialog from the Pandorica episodes.

"I dated an SD duplicate once.... swappable heads."

She's talking about Ramone and Nardole/Hydroflax.

Therefore, she either escaped The Library and is running around through time and space. OR... she had adventures during her time on Darilium.

But the way she says it: "ONCE," makes me think that she's talking about more than 24 years ago.

So I think, she escaped The Library. She had to have. But she also knew at the library that she couldn't give out 'Spoilers.'

So what did she do? She told the doctor about Darilium.

But how did she escape the library? Who helped her escape? Did she even need help?

But also, because she has to keep the timeline intact she acts like she's not from the future when Amy mentions the Weeping Angel's at the Bizantium. So she hops around and makes sure that things play out the way they're supposed to.

All of this makes me think that Amy, Rory and 11 had more adventures with a post library River.

So, this means, IF I'm right, that I need more Alex Kingston on DW. Like right now.

So in conclusion, 11, Amy and Rory met River after the Library in my headcanon.

Link- expected king, got poet. Being the only one of the teens who’s experienced romantic love in a profound and personal way, and the only one who’s felt paternal love in that same degree, he didn’t like the quiz much at all. Scary- soldier. She doesn’t usually like this type of introspection; thinking about herself truthfully for too long hurts too much. She’s created a version of herself made to fight, resist, create disorder. What happens when she knows she’s tired of this? What does she do when she needs to put down the sword, purge herself of the poison, but there’s no one left to catch her?

Normal- king. He wasn’t really sure what he’d expect; he’s too viscerally aware of every part of his being (disappointing, weird, sad, anxious, annoying) so he doesn’t like taking quizzes like this. Much preferring the anonymity and normalcy he can gain from pretending to be something else, he’ll try and try and try to fit himself into molds of what other people need, and he’ll fall short every time. He feels this failure so incredibly deeply in his bones; a pain he was only dully aware of until only a few months ago.

Taylor-soldier. It was a close tie though, almost a king. He keeps hearing the phrase ‘main character syndrome’ thrown around. He reads his result; they don’t sound correct. He reads Normal’s result, Link’s result; none of them fit him. He’s worried for his friends, his side kicks. He knows his place in this world, he knows what he wants to achieve and he knows he can get it- and not just because of his famous mom and Hell connections, but because he’s confident in his abilities. He knows what he’s capable of, and he knows how to bounce back from things he might not succeed at the first time. What he doesn’t know, however, is how to help his friends find the same duty and pace within themselves. How to help them come to terms with losses and wins and fears much greater than anything he’s ever had to know.

The one who abandoned his companion more or less because he chose a bigger (in number of beings) duty of care. The Doctor who often acts the youngest and yet is the most frightening. The Doctor who, at least to me, marked such a difference in the character.

The youngest-looking, most underestimated because of that, the one who sacrificed his memories to save a moon without a moment's hesitation, the one who lost his parents-in-law (who were his best friends), the one who saw his grave, the one who found the impossible girl and did his best to keep her safe just as he kept him safe...

The one who experienced the highest high and the lowest low of his whole life. The one who lost and won and lost again. The one who waited and withered and aged and practiced patience as best he could because one could say he gave up on saving himself.
