Then I’ve been taking a little break from commission work to do an entry for a gaming site I play on. The sites anniversary is coming up, and they host a yearly art competition. This year I wanted to do some matroyshkas, as I’ve been obsessed with them lately. The theme is, ‘A black tie affair.’ I like challenging myself to see how out of the box I can push my mind. So I went with a cute Japanese Kirin family. All dolled up kimono style. I saw the most expensive #matroyshkadoll I have ever seen at the #christmasmarket in #chicago. The blue and gold doll in the back on the right had beautiful and intricate designs and details and contained 20 dolls. The main outside doll was big, like the size of a watermelon.
