"Revenge" nos sumerge en un brutal relato de supervivencia y venganza ambientado en un remoto desierto. Jen, una joven y atractiva mujer, acompaña a su amante Richard, un adinerado hombre de negocios, a una escapada con sus dos amigos. Lo que comienza como una romántica escapada, se convierte rápidamente en una pesadilla cuando los amigos de Richard, atraídos por Jen, deciden convertirla en el objetivo de su depravado juego.

Tras ser brutalmente atacada y dada por muerta, Jen despierta en medio del desierto, gravemente herida pero con un instinto de supervivencia feroz. Con una sed de venganza ardiendo en su interior, Jen se embarca en una implacable persecución contra sus atacantes, utilizando todo lo que tiene a su alcance para sobrevivir y hacerlos pagar por lo que le han hecho.

"Revenge" es una película que no deja a nadie indiferente. Es una obra visceral y violenta que desafía las convenciones del cine de género, ofreciendo una mirada cruda y sin concesiones a la violencia y la sexualidad. La película es una exploración de los límites de la supervivencia humana y una denuncia de la misoginia y la violencia contra las mujeres.

Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz ofrece una actuación desgarradora y poderosa como Jen. Su transformación de víctima a vengadora es convincente y llena de matices. La actriz logra transmitir tanto el dolor y la vulnerabilidad de su personaje, como su fuerza y determinación.

La dirección de Coralie Fargeat es audaz y visualmente impactante. La película está llena de imágenes potentes y secuencias de violencia explícita que pueden resultar perturbadoras para algunos espectadores. Sin embargo, esta violencia no es gratuita, sino que sirve para subrayar la brutalidad de la situación y la desesperación de Jen. Se merece cuatro estrellas ⭐⭐⭐⭐

my favorite thing about this movie is how jen continues to look vulnerable and upset the whole time, she's never a terminator she's a traumatized survivor doing her best.
