Shani Dham Kokilavan in Mathura

Shani Dham Kokilavan is located near Kosi Kalan in Uttar Pradesh. This forest is dedicated to Shani Dev. The temple is surrounded by a dense forest known as Kokilavan where devotees believe that Lord Krishna appeared in his Koyal form to bless Sri Shani Dev. That is why this forest is called Kokilavan.

Devotees visit Kokilavan to seek blessings from Shani Dev and Barkhandi Baba who was a great saint and used to take care of this temple. This van is a peaceful place surrounded by dense forest. You can visit this van and meditate there for sometime to make your mind and body calm.

Kokilavan Shani Mandir Timings 

The temple remains open on all days. Here are the darshan timings

Morning: 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM 

Evening: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM 

Aarti Timings: 6:00 AM & 7:00 PM 

For devotees going from Mathura to Kokilavan can travel by road. The distance is around 40 km approx. and takes around 40 to 50 mins to reach there. You can also hire a Taxi Service in Mathura for a hassle-free journey or take a rickshaw from Mathura but its fares are higher.
