Hi - quick question about the Community Time Project fix: if the sim leaves around a very late time during the day (say close to 00:00) and while out on a community lot, it is already the next day morning that they come home; would it cause any problems with the time calculation? I always had some type of calculation issue with the unfixed version especially if the scenario was like the one I just mentioned here. Thanks!

Hello! By default, Chris Hatch's mod already accounted for day changes while away from a community lot, and it shouldn't cause trouble so long as you weren't away for multiple days.

Warning: The following section will be technical, because to explain why I think calculations won't be a problem at all, I will show how my fix calculates the time away from a community lot. It's based on what Chris did, but it received changes.

So before I delve in, here's a quick tl;dr: Time calculation works just fine. I use my mods myself, my Sims travel a lot and I have never had miscalculations since I used my own fix.

When a Sim leaves the community lot, the Token - Community Time receives the global values Day of Week (e.g. 0 = Monday), Hour (e.g. 7) and Minute (e.g. 45) that were in place when the Sim left.

When the home lot is loaded again, the real fun begins:

Step 1. The token's values are written to local variables within the Community Time Wait function, let's say A, B and C; and three more local variables get the current Day of Week, Hour and Minute at the home lot as well. Let's say Day of Week = 5 = Saturday, Hour = 23 and Minute = 58. These get written to D, E and F.

Thus, after this step: A = 0, B = 7, C = 45, D = 5, E = 23, F = 58.

Step 2. A, B and C are subtracted by the same values we put in D, E and F earlier, respectively.

After this step: A = -5, B = -16, C = -13.

Step 3. If C is below 0, then 60 is added to C and B is further subtracted by 1. Basically, imagine a clock - since the minute hand (C) went over a full hour, one extra hour is subtracted.

After this step: A = -5, B = -17, C = 47.

Step 4. If B is below 0, then 24 is added to B and A is further subtracted by 1. On the clock, the hour hand (B) went over a full day, so one extra day is subtracted.

After this step: A = -6, B = 7, C = 47.

Step 5. If A is below 0, add +7 to it. We went from Sunday to Monday - thus, a new week started in the game. The calculation needs to account for this, because otherwise Sims would stay away for negative six days, meaning they'd immediately come home.

After this step: A = 1, B = 7, C = 47.

Step 6. A is multiplied by 24. Then, A is added to B. Community Time doesn't display how many days it takes; it converts days to hours.

After this step: A = 24, B = 31, C = 47.

Step 7. Because of a quirk with Sims 2, we finally have to add 1 to D, and if that results in 7 we have to set D to 0. That's because, for some reason, while weeks start on Monday in the global Day of Week value, when you try to print the current day of week using the string substitution $DayLocal:X, the week suddenly starts on Sunday. Thus we have to account for that.

After this step: A = 24, B = 31, C = 47, D = 6, E = 23, F = 58.

And that's it, we now have the final values to initiate our countdown to get home. The final message displayed when the countdown starts will be:

John is due home at 7:45 on Monday Time Remaining: 31 Hours : 47 Minutes

are you named after anyone? No, I don’t think so. I think my dad just didn’t like my almost-name and liked the idea of me being “victorious”. Turns out the only way I’ve lived up to my name is by owning a bunch of dolls, wanting to be treated like a Queen and wanting to meet my Albert.

when was the last time you cried? um. In the shower about a week ago? I had to euthanize my 15 year old dog and I was suddenly struck by the grief of her loss since she’s been in my life for so long.

OH ALSO, your portrayal of my culture is genuinely amazing! I was honestly out here sometimes wondering whether you're also Greek or if you just did a lot of research; in YAWD mentions of yiayias, chickpea stew as well as stuffed peppers and tomatoes, the panhellenic exams etc were all spot on!

Not so fun fact: it's notoriously impossible to do well in those exams if you don't attend frontistyrio: afternoon classes. Education here sucks ass in lykeio🤞

I have a question about Pat though: in eleventh grade we choose a "direction" (in Greek, the word is κατεύθυνση), humanities or sciences (you already know this, I just like giving context anyway). In twelfth grade, humanities stay the same but the sciences are split in economics, health, and, again, sciences.

We have four subjects for the Panhellenic exams:

Humanities: Greek, Latin, Ancient Greek, history

Economics: Greek, Math, ΑΟΘ and ΑΕΠΠ

Health: Greek, Chemistry, Physics, Biology

Sciences(solos your faves): Greek, Math, Chemistry, Physics

If the original plan was for Pat to apply for architecture with Achilles, they'd both have to be in the sciences in twelfth grade.

If Pat got in a literature and theatre program, however, he'd have to have been in humanities from the beginning, along with Briseis who went to law school.

It's not possible for him to get into that program any other way; but I could've sworn that he had chosen sciences??

Hi hello!!! Thank you so much for this ask, I'm so glad you've been enjoying my work! And yes I am Greek ahah but please don't feel embarrassed, I can see how Pat's panhellenic situation would have been a little confusing for someone who is familiar with, well, Panhellenics. My thought process was like this: Patroclus was indeed in the Sciences "direction" because he wanted to get into architecture with Achilles at first. However, back when I was at school there was a loophole where even if you were in the Sciences direction, if you had taken an electoral class in a Humanities subject, then you could apply for some schools in the Humanities field. And that was the same for the other directions too: for instance, if you were in Humanities and had taken Biology as your electoral, then you could apply for some schools in the Sciences field like veterinary school, nursing, midwifery or something like that. Theatre studies was one of those schools that one could get into from the Sciences if they had taken I think either history or literature as their electoral, so that's what I had Patroclus do.

Also, btw, back in my day we only had 3 major directions (Humanities, Sciences, Economics) and a lot more subjects in each one. Disasters is very much based on my own experiences, so I had both Pat and Achilles suffer extra with all those subjects they had to study in cram school/frodistirio 🤣 Processing the trauma of Greek education one fic at a time 🫠

Ina Leifsdottir Headcanons bc I Said So

I think I'm going to make hc lists for all of my fave Voltron characters no matter how much screen time they got.

Her favorite color is yellow.

She has autism, she's mainly affected by her sensory issues and has a very hard time socializing.

Ina's parents were helicopter parents and often infantilized her because of her autism. Even though she was wicked smart her parents had no faith in her.

When Ina was little it was difficult for her to make friends, so she mainly found herself indulging her hyperfixation on space.

Ina was actually in middle school with both Keith and James. She had been on and off friends with James since childhood, but since his parents were so strict they didn't get to hang out much.

They became friends because Ina used to follow James around like a lost dog because she thought he was so cool cause' he was going to go to the Garrison.

Ina had always been fascinated by space but her parents would never let her explore this love.

It was James who encouraged her after her simulator failure when Shiro visited their middle school.

You will never find this woman wearing a skirt, she hates skirts/dresses. It’s a sensory thing for her.

She grew up in a more rural area of the desert, her family owns a lot of land and they have some animals.

This is how Ina found her love of the stars. Sitting on an old wooden fence that kept her family’s horses, looking up at the milky way in awe.

Ina’s favorite bands/artists are The Lumineers, Hoizer, and Bon Iver. Her respective favorite songs from them are: Sleep on the Floor, Like Real People Do, and Skinny Love.

Moon and Suns are nice friends since they were classmates last year. And now they have Pebbles :)

FP rarely draws…So, not never. He does draw when all club members had to submit something for competition. Like his senpai(SRS), he once drew Rivulet and Moon for it.

Rivulet lives in Moon&Pebbles’ house. They once went outside alone and got lost, leaving the siblings concerned. They tried to find them but it didn’t bear fruit. It was when Arti, neighborhood boss scug appeared in front of them—They asked Arti to tell Rivulet come back, and next day they did.

Arti used to be boss scug of certain area, but now they joined Moon&Pebbles’ house. Arti always keep waking up until they tire out(so that they will not dream), so they sleep on afternoon and wake up on evening.

Moon and Pebbles’ bento are made by Arti. How?

Saint is Sliver’s guardian AND school principal. They’re mostly meditating on the kotatsu.

Hunter is half-wild scug living nearby Sigcchi. They’re mostly at outside, but occasionally knock door of NSH’s house and rest there—Especially when rain(or even typhoon)comes.

What's the origin of your blog's title?

I've been running around with "wobbbiy" as my username for multiple platforms. Originally started as my Xbox gamertag. I wanted "wobbly" but that was taken so now it's wobbbiy. It typically gets mistaken for wobbly so that's chill.

Thought it was a cute name. Also, thought it would be endlessly funny to have someone rage in PVP if they ever got killed by someone who is "wobbly". c: This lives free in my head whenever I PVP which is often. Also, if I do bad, it's fine, I'm just a little wobbly, that's all. <3

When I was creating my OG tik tok account, I wanted a 'cool' and 'unique' username that was also 'fun'. (I was 16 at the time lol). After much brainstorming, I came up with alien.cookie and I still love it so it's my username / handle on most platforms now

I have many, that I don't think are weird but others do. When out in a public place like a restaurant, I like to be in a corner, I don't like not having edges/walls around me

I'm struggling with hobbies at bit at the mo (injury+low mood) but Lindy hopping (it's a thing!) swimming (particularly open water and open air pools), vintage *stuff*, reading, going to museums, making jewelry, hiking, cooking and napping

I do work but I like to keep work and Tumblr very separate. I love my job but it can be stressful and confusing and this is my current safe space from that.

Failing that, my maternal grandfather, he passed away shortly before I was born but sounded like a lovely, kind man.

Hi coff-in! :D Thank you so much for sending an ask! ^-^ Don’t worry abt asking a lot of questions! It means a lot to me that people wanna hear abt my ocs <3

1) Alice was hardcore into their science classes (minus chemistry) Anything biology related, they especially loved. Though they also liked algebra, and would often help Ashley out with homework… and sometimes helped her cheat. Anything for their big sis :) They also took a forensics class, so they know more than they should (in Andrew’s opinion) about disposing of evidence/corpses

2) Def love ranting about their special interests/hyperfixations! Alice has that autism adhd swag lol. There was this book abt dinosaurs in their high school’s library that they loved so much, they bought a copy of the book for themselves. Unfortunately that book is now ashes thanks to that fire at the apartment :/ Other than dinos, I think they’re also heavily into goth music and gothic literature. Totally not projecting, but Jekyll and Hyde is their fave cause it made them realize they were trans :)

3) Prom was ok. Crowds and parties aren’t really their thing, but they do love having an opportunity to get all dolled up! I think they convinced Ashley to go with, if at least so they can make fun of other ppl there together. (Also so they could see Ashley dolled up as well) Idk if their school had this, but my school had a thing where you could bring a plus one from another school in the district/21 or younger. If their school had that, then them and Ashley definitely did everything they could to convince Andrew to go with as well. Alice made sure to drown them, especially Ashley, in compliments abt their outfits. Alice probably also did a little prom-posal for their sibs, in the privacy of home tho. I like to think the 3 of them went to some cheap ice cream place afterwards while still in their prom getups. Here’s what I think their dress would’ve looked like:
