Chapter One
"Do you think he'll make it?" asked the red-haired boy, looking at Ramp 4.
Specifically, he was staring at the ridiculously stupid boy who was about to ride down the ramp while standing on his hands.
Mathias Jorgensen just shook his head, typing in the emergency number as he waited for one of his buddies to fail and probably suffer a painful fall.
First of all, the boy on the ramp can't do a proper handstand, even if he thinks otherwise. Sinking in the shoulders, not tensing up the muscles, sticking out the belly, arching the back or swinging the legs in every direction will not only make it difficult for him to stay upside down, but will be the reason why rehabilitation will last longer than half a year. Secondly, Mathias realizes - like the rest of them here - that his buddy will not be able to determine the correct pressure on the tail in this position. Or jump down - in the event of an accident - painlessly.
The red-haired boy next to Mathias announced that he was already hurting just thinking about what was about to happen.
They were about to see the painful fall, both of his pride and his body, of the blond boy on the ramp, when suddenly the Skaters' attention was caught by whistles and applause coming from the other side of the park, which was the end of the City Park.
This is the only minus of the Skatepark, because it is located right next to the meeting place of Alpha and Omegas, who are unofficial enemies of Betas who skateboard competitively and recreationally.
"What are they celebrating this time?" Mathias asked. He looked casually at the new arrivals. But in truth, he was looking out for a certain blonde haired woman. This person has a pair of blue eyes and a beautiful, radiant smile.
The redhead named Jack smiled, or rather just lifted the corner of his mouth, shaking his head. "You really live on another planet. The Mustangs won the match and qualified for the Interstate Finals."
Jorgensen just grunted in understanding, although personally he didn't see the point in all this Football. But that's what they think about skateboarding competitions. It's still unfair that North Shore doesn't include skating as a school sport, especially since many of the school's students skate.
Harris County has a population of 4,092,459 people, making it the most populous county in Texas. It ranks third in the US. The county seat is in Houston, the largest city in Texas. 39% of Harris County's population consists of Alphas, 11% Omegas, and the rest are Betas.
Mathias, although he has a designated rank in the community on his papers, cannot really classify himself. Yes, as a Beta he had been associating with other Betas all his life, but deep in his heart he felt that he really had no knowledge of who he was and what his role was in this world. Even more so now, looking at Omega, whose smile can outshine the sun, and his heart pounds like crazy in his chest at the sight.
"Have I gone crazy?" he wondered. "But I'm not gay." *
He was about to say something to Red to snap out of his lethargy when suddenly they heard the great crash of a body hitting the asphalt, followed by the scream of the blond-haired boy on the ramp - now lying fallow on the ground. Mathias just sighed, thinking "this could have been expected" and then dialed the emergency number.
* * *
"Mom dad! I'm home!" the curly-haired boy shouted at the entrance, drawing the attention of the other Jorgensens.
"In the kitchen, little mouse!" he heard his father answer. He frowned at the affectionate nickname that had followed him since he was 2 years old.
"Hello, honey, how was school?" The figure of a tall, beautiful and strong woman in her late forties emerged from around the corner.
Mrs. Jorgensen wore a well-tailored red jacket and pressed black formal trousers. Matching yellow high-heeled sandals. Her hair was loose and wild as usual, and black curls shimmered like gold in the sun's rays. Her brown eyes also held sparks of happiness.
" Yeah." Mathias thought to himself. " Father's heat is approaching. No wonder mom walks like the happiest Alpha from the very morning."
Mathias mother was responsible for his Italian genes. He's German from his father's side. He once wondered by what twist of fate these two met and became a couple.
This twist of fate was an international competition in which their universities took part. His father, as a promising ballet master, was the gem of his school, not only thanks to his artistic talent, but also his intellect and high academic results.
His mother - although she now works in the sales department of a prestigious company - was also interested in contemporary dance during college, and her friends from the same field encouraged her to take part in the competition. This is how Mr. and Mrs. Jorgensen met at the finals in Los Angeles. Then they realize that they are destined lovers.
18 years have passed since then, and they love each other to this day and will love each other forever, because they are biologically compatible.
"Haven't you had an important meeting?" Mathias muttered under his breath, seeing his mother beaming. He can already imagine this strange mate rituals performed by his parents.
"What, disappointed that I have free time to spend with you?" she asked in a sweet tone, grabbing her son's chin with her index finger and thumb to rub it lightly.
The boy just rolled his eyes, pushing his mother's hand away from his face. The fact that she is a head taller than him pisses him off.
"Kitten, stop embarrassing our son." Mathias' father interjected as he left the kitchen.
Mr. Jorgensen was wearing an oversized pastel peach T-shirt and black yoga pants. The boy could tell from the apron that his father were cooking something in the kitchen. His stomach growled at the thought of eating.
Mathias' father is a beautiful Omega. A man approaching forty, has still delights every alpha - young or mature. As a Dominant Omega, he has great genes. It's as if time stopped for him on his light years of college, because he doesn't change at all. His age can be seen in his close-cropped caramel hair, more prominent cheekbones, and slightly rounded hips. (it's better not to mention the latter in front of him)
"Teddy bear, our mouse is already big. Let me enjoy these little moments because I need to remind you that before we know it, the mouse will find its own nest."
The boy involuntarily shook his head, not listening to the conversation his parents were having. Instead, he went to the kitchen to see what dad had prepared for dinner.
He saw tomato soup in one of the pots - his favorite. In the second one he noticed boiling shrimp. Probably as an addition to soup - his mother's favourite. The smell of potato casserole came from the oven, which meant only one thing.
"Mom!!!"
* * *
Not only once that evening, Mathias kept himself from bursting out. Yes, he loved his grandmother, but he also didn't give a damn about her.
"You must remember that procrastination is not good for someone your age, darling." the older woman continued. "It's better to choose a specific direction now, and take into account the possibilities associated with it. Your father somehow managed to do it, although I didn't understand his choice from the beginning. Fortunately, fate brought him together with the wonderful Juliet, so I didn't have to worry…"
And so it goes like this by the end of the dinner.
He could tell from his parents expressions that they shared his misery.
He realized that he had to start thinking about the future at some point, but not yet. First, he must ensure victory in the next competition and finally invite Jimmy on a date. He will probably be laughed at, but "it's better to try than to regret later," as he told himself.
"The food was delicious, honey. Thanks for this wonderful casserole. These worms... Sorry, seafood - not my taste, but after all it's a reasonable price for the daughter-in-law of my dreams."
The boy just sighed, then pushed himself off the wall he was leaning against and smiled - he hoped - convincingly as he walked over to his grandmother to hug her goodbye.
"It was nice to see you again, Oma.*** " the woman smiled radiantly, which made the boy happy. "Oh, meine Enkelin***, you're so sweet. Your Oma is glad that you conduct yourself so well. See you soon, my treasures!"
After saying goodbye to his grandmother, the boy was exhausted, so he excused himself and went upstairs. This day was completely embarrassing, and that's the only thing he prefers to avoid - embarrassing situations.
As he lay down, he thought about the blond-haired angel and couldn't shake the thought that his feelings for the boy would be the reason for his problems…
* * *
[* In this world, relationships that deviate from the social norm of Alphas, Bets and Omegas are called homosexual. For example; Alpha+Alpha, Omega+Omega, Bet+Omega. Among Betas, same-sex relationships are also considered homosexuality but in a less "condemned" way.]
[** Estrus (Rut or Heat if you prefer) is the time when Omega or Alpha are ready to "reproduce". Sometimes the Heat of one causes the Rut of the other if they are meant to be together, and vice versa.
[*** German for "Grandma", specifically "grandmother" and "my grandson".]

Brentford manager Thomas Frank reacts to Rasmus Hojlund move to Manchester United
Tumblr media
Brentford manager Thomas Frank reacts to Rasmus Hojlund move to Manchester United Manchester United is on the verge of finalizing the signing of Atalanta's forward, Rasmus Hojlund. Brentford manager, Thomas Frank, has now shared his reaction to the news. During this summer, Manchester United has been eager to secure a new striker, and they have been linked with several names. The primary target that has been prominently discussed in recent weeks is Hojlund, and it seems that Manchester United is now very close to completing the deal. According to The Athletic, United has reached an agreement to acquire Hojlund in a significant transfer worth a substantial amount of money. The reported deal entails a fixed fee of €75 million (£64.5 million) in addition to €10 million (£8.6 million) in potential add-ons. In total, the deal could reach around £73 million, making it a significant financial commitment from Manchester United. Manchester United banking on Rasmus Hojlund potential This appears to be an exorbitant sum to pay for a forward who only managed to score nine goals in the league during the previous season.  Nevertheless, Hojlund possesses significant talent, and Manchester United expects him to realize his potential while playing at Old Trafford. It's worth noting that just a year ago, the Danish player was competing for Sturm Graz in Austria. Despite being just 20 years old, Hojlund has displayed promising attributes, particularly his speed and strength, which enable him to exploit the opposition's defense by getting behind them. Ten Hag, the coach, has a fondness for utilizing a physically imposing striker like Sebastien Haller, whom he worked with at Ajax and Utrecht. While Hojlund may not yet possess all the qualities of a traditional target man, his presence in the attacking third strongly appeals to Ten Hag. Comparisons have been drawn between Hojlund and Erling Haaland, as they both hail from Scandinavia, have a dominant left foot, and are potent threats when making runs behind the defense. Although Hojlund has a considerable journey ahead of him before reaching Haaland's level, Manchester United is optimistic about his development and hopes to see him evolve into a prolific goalscorer similar to Haaland. Thomas Frank comments on Rasmus Hojlund move With Hojlund's imminent transfer, the Premier League will welcome yet another Danish player to its ranks.  Notably, Brentford already boasts a significant Danish contingent, including Christian Norgaard, Mathias Jensen, Mathias Jorgensen, Mikkel Damsgaard, and Mads Roerslev, all of whom regularly feature in the league under the management of Danish coach Thomas Frank.  As a result, these players are likely to be well-acquainted with Hojlund and his potential, with some even having played alongside him for Denmark. Thomas Frank, the Brentford manager, has been questioned about Hojlund's move to the Premier League, and he has expressed his enthusiasm, deeming it a "fantastic" opportunity for the young Danish talent.  This positive endorsement from Frank suggests that he believes Hojlund's skills and abilities will flourish in the Premier League setting. Frank mentioned that even though he hasn't personally coached Hojlund, he is familiar with his skills from conversations with people who are acquainted with him.  However, Frank did acknowledge that the amount United is paying for Hojlund is substantial and he wishes that the Danish player fulfills the high expectations surrounding him. “I think it’s fantastic for Rasmus,” said Frank. “I haven’t coached him personally but I know people who have and he’s been with the national team. I hope he will do very well at Manchester United. It’s a big price tag,” he added. Brentford manager Thomas Frank reacts to Rasmus Hojlund move to Manchester United Read the full article
