Math classroom decoration concepts
Now that I'm thinking of how to decorate my brand-new classroom in a new district, I have actually understood that I never navigated to sharing pictures on this blog of my 2017-2018 classroom. So, my goal today is to repair that. I'm hoping you'll enjoy seeing some decoration concepts, and I'm hoping that showing on this previous year's decorations will help me find out what I wish to keep/change in my brand-new area.

In 2015, I taught Algebra 1, Math Concepts (Course for 9th Graders Not Ready for Algebra 1), and Chemistry. Next year, I will be teaching Algebra 2, Pre-AP Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry. It will be fascinating to see how my decorations alter given that I will have absolutely no overlaps of classes taught between this past year and next year.
Let's take a trip.
Here's the view from just inside my classroom door. The huge modification for last year was that I moved from desks to tables for the very first time. I liked the tables for the most part. They were handy with mentor chemistry because trainees needed space to work together on labs.
This is a unit circle task that was produced by one of my trig students in 2017. His daddy is the ag teacher, so he was able to integrate the task to make a system circle with the task to do some welding in ag class.
We used the TI-30XS calculators in Algebra 1, so I kept a calculator poster up so I could remind students how to do different keystrokes on website their calculators.
I discovered it incredibly valuable to keep these lists on clipboards on the wall so they weren't cluttering up my desk. Keeping often used things OFF of my desk was a crucial pointer I gained from Angela Watson's 40 Hour Teacher Workweek Program. Sign-ups are opening quickly (June 5th!), so I recommend that you think about signing up. The program altered a lot of of the ways I structure my classroom and time in the classroom. I now can invest more of my time concentrating on the aspects of my job I LOVE and less time worrying over the documentation and other aspects I don't enjoy. I enjoy practical classroom decor and that makes a classroom an inviting and low-stress location to find out. Now that I'm thinking about how to embellish my new classroom in a brand-new district, I've recognized that I never ever got around to sharing photos on this blog site of my 2017-2018 classroom. The program changed so many of the ways I structure my classroom and time in the classroom.
