The basegame wedding dress has a pregnancy morph??
Tumblr media
#I can never be positive if something in my game is like. a third-party launcher addition#but this is so funny and I had such a strong hunch#because rushing to have your Sim get married before they give birth is such a thing so many players would do!!#and it would be so funny to pay attention to that detail by having the wedding dress show the bump!!!!#all your sim's wedding photos very obviously giving away the reason for the rushed date HAHA#the dress with the pendant at the back that everyone default replaces off (the one with the knife texture) also has a preg morph#which I know because it's the one your Sims get forced into if they attend a wedding#but it's kind of unusual because pregnant Sims don't have the opportunity to change into formal wear?#like pregnant Sims get new undies pyjamas and swimwear in addition to their maternity outfit#and if you direct a pregnant Sim to change into one of them then it changes them into the appropriate maternity fit instead of their usual#but you can't direct them to change into formal and if you use a hacked option like the shop any-wear rack it uses their usual non morph fi#so it has to be something external like a wedding that triggers them to change into formal. and I have no idea why#does this mean there's a BG suit with a preg morph for men??#or did maxis not think that pregnant male Sims would be quite so desperate to get married#anyway I'm probably the last person to know about this LMAO and I'm sure no one cares bc everyone uses wear-anything mods#but I'm a scrub who still prefers to use the default maternity meshes so this is yuge to me#also if you've never seen this dress b4: in the early game all Sims getting married under an arch used to be forced into the same outfits#actually I can't remember if the men got forced into the same suit or if they just used their regular formal#because most BG formal outfits for men were mostly wedding-appropriate#but at any rate. all women wore the same wedding dress. and it was this .... beauty#and I don't remember with which EP it changed but probably pretty early on they just let Sims use their regular formal wear for weddings#so you could pick their wedding dress yourself#but this dress remained hidden by default (I think?) so ironically it meant you COULDN'T use the wedding dress even if you wanted to#also this is completely off topic but you would also go away for your honeymoon#which meant the Sims getting married would literally get driven away in a limousine and stay off-world for a while#it was kind of cute because it really was like they took a vacation from the player too. got up to their own mischief away from your contro#then with bon voyage they introduced ACTUAL vacations and they turned honeymoons into an actual game mechanic#but again these offworld honeymoons are no longer a possibility#kind of like teens 'going out' with permission got replaced by going out on actual outings/dates even though it was a cute event#wow this note section is long and irrelevant. anyway enjoy picking up your wedding dress from a store called 'It's Not Too Late'

been thinking a lot about Nami dragging Zoro into some kind of maternity boutique, partially to tease him and also because she knows he has no idea how to shop. And when they go in it's all frilly dresses and pastel colors, and all the other shoppers there are pretty women. Zoro very quickly gets overwhelmed, and when he sees that the male omega section is pitifully small, he runs and hides in the changing room to freak out in peace.
Nami got so excited over all the fashion and talking to the boutique ladies that she almost missed Zoro running off. Nami realizes that she may have miscalculated on whether this store would have anything that Zoro would have enjoyed. She sits outside the changing room to try to talk him down and apologize for roping into something that made him so uncomfortable.
Zoro laments how he doesn't want to have to wear skirts and frills now that he's pregnant. He just wants to stay Zoro and not be shoved into a box with high fem maternity clothes. Nami reassures him that they'll be able to find the right clothes for him and that she should have been more considerate before dragging him into the boutique.
Zoro calms down enough for them to leave the store and rejoin the others, and a week later Nami takes him shopping again at a place that has clothes much more his style.

1311 – Day 2
Tumblr media
After a bit of practice with cooking, Edith finds she quite likes keeping house for her father and younger siblings. She still misses her mother desperately – she doesn’t think she will ever stop – but if feels good to have a niche for herself, now that she can’t help much outside. She is still loath to leave her family, but a part of her is indeed yearning to start her own life with William, especially now that he has gotten the Earl’s approval to farm the piece of land in Mahlsberg.
Moving there will mean being further away from their families than they would have been in Tovar, but it will be a piece of land of their own.
Even better, she gets to talk about it with her sister, who even in the middle of Winter takes it upon herself to visit, because she has exciting news to share.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You’re with child?”, Edith exclaims. “Already?”
Anna beams. “What do you mean, ‘already’? I’ve been married for more than half a year, dear sister.”
It still feels soon, but Edith is truly happy for her. Anna isn’t showing yet, but there is no doubt that there will be a new Crawley in a few months. She is looking well, too – her new, comfortable lifestyle has clearly been good for her, and she enjoys the finer clothing she can now afford to wear.
Her father and brothers are happy to greet her as well, especially when they hear the news. And in a moment alone, Edith confides in her her apprehensions about leaving them behind. Anna can sympathize with her – after all, she had the same doubts before her own wedding – but advises her not to put her life on hold. Benjamin will marry in a few years, and their father isn’t all that old yet. They will be able to manage without her.
Edith knows all of it, of course, but it feels good to hear so from her sister.
Tumblr media
Not that Anna is Edith’s only sister. Losing her mother only hours after her birth has made Helen a little sickly, but she continues to live, and while Edith is busy mending clothes and his father works on his carpenting, Benjamin fills his days with teaching the little girl how to walk. She’ll probably be a terror always underfoot, like the rest of them, but the sooner she gets to be self-sufficient, the better.
Simon, meanwhile, doesn’t have much to do on the farm, so he often accompanies his older sister when on her visits to the Watmores, and befriends the Watmore twins, who are around his age.
While at Edith’s future family’s home, they also hear that Marjorie has run away with her merchant’s son. No one quite knows where the young couple might have gone, and they’re worried, but with winter having settled in, it’s no use trying to look for them. They can only hope that they’re somewhere safe.

1980s maternity fashion. I believe it may be a bit early for a denim jumper dress. Those were the rage in the 1990s from my research. It seems to work anyway.

Maternity Photoshoot Poses: Simple and Beautiful Ideas for Expecting Moms
Tumblr media
If you’re looking for maternity photoshoot ideas or searching for a maternity photoshoot near me, this guide is perfect for you. We’ll explore some easy poses that will make your maternity photoshoot studio experience fun, comfortable, and full of memorable moments.
1. The Classic Belly Hold
One of the most popular maternity photoshoot poses is the classic belly hold. This pose is simple yet powerful, as it focuses on the baby bump, which is the star of the shoot. Here’s how to do it:
Stand or sit comfortably with your back straight.
Place one hand above your belly and the other below it, gently cradling your bump.
You can look at the camera or gaze down at your belly for a more intimate feel.
This pose is timeless and can be used in any setting, whether you’re at home, outside, or in a maternity photoshoot studio. It highlights the beautiful shape of your growing belly and captures the connection between you and your baby.
2. The Partner Hug
If you’re having a maternity photoshoot with your partner, a great way to capture your bond is with the partner hug pose. Here’s what to do:
Have your partner stand behind you, wrapping their arms around your waist or gently placing their hands on your belly.
You can both smile at the camera or share a moment by looking at each other.
This pose is perfect for showing the love and teamwork you share as a couple as you prepare to become parents. It’s a sweet and tender way to include your partner in your maternity photos.
3. Lying Down
For a more relaxed and natural feel, try lying down on your side or back. This pose is comfortable and adds a peaceful vibe to your maternity photoshoot. Follow these steps:
Lie down on a soft surface like a bed, couch, or blanket.
Rest one hand on your belly and let your other hand rest naturally by your side or on your hip.
You can look directly at the camera or close your eyes for a dreamy, serene effect.
This pose works well for an indoor maternity photoshoot studio, and you can play with different props like pillows or flowers to add more creativity.
4. Silhouette Shot
A silhouette shot is an artistic way to highlight your pregnancy without showing too much detail. It creates a dramatic and beautiful outline of your body and baby bump. Here’s how to get the perfect silhouette:
Stand in front of a bright light source, such as a window or the setting sun.
Position your body so that the light shines behind you, creating a shadow.
Try placing your hands on your belly or standing in profile to emphasize your bump.
This pose works best in natural light or with studio lighting. It’s an ideal pose for moms who want something a little more artistic in their maternity photoshoot.
5. Sitting Cross-Legged
A simple and comfortable pose for your maternity photoshoot is sitting cross-legged. This pose is casual and easy to do, making it perfect for moms who want a laid-back vibe. Here’s how to pose:
Sit on a soft surface with your legs crossed.
Rest both hands on your belly and relax your shoulders.
You can smile at the camera or look down at your bump.
This pose is excellent for both indoor and outdoor shoots, and it’s a great way to show off your baby bump while keeping things simple and natural.
6. Family Involvement
If you have other children, you can include them in your maternity photoshoot for a more meaningful session. Here are a few ideas:
Have your child kiss or hug your belly while you look down at them with a smile.
Let your child hold a small sign or baby shoes in front of your belly.
You and your partner can hold hands with your child while gently cradling your bump.
These poses are heartwarming and will create cherished memories as you involve the whole family in your maternity photoshoot.
7. The Walking Pose
Another natural and easy-to-do pose is walking. This action-based pose gives a candid feel to your photos and shows off your beautiful baby bump. To get this pose:
Simply walk slowly while gently holding your belly.
Look forward or at your partner if they are walking with you.
This pose works great outdoors in a park, garden, or beach setting. It’s a great way to capture movement and make your photos look more dynamic.
8. Using Props
Adding props to your maternity photoshoot can make the session more personal and creative. Some popular prop ideas include:
Baby shoes, clothes, or toys placed on or near your belly.
A chalkboard or sign with the baby’s name or due date.
Flowers or a flower crown for a feminine touch.
Props add a special touch to your photos and make them more unique to your personal style.
Conclusion
A maternity photoshoot is a beautiful way to capture the special moments of pregnancy. Whether you’re taking photos at home or visiting a maternity photoshoot studio, these simple and easy poses will help you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. From the classic belly hold to involving your family, these maternity photoshoot ideas will ensure you get stunning and memorable photos.
If you’re still looking for the perfect location, search for a maternity photoshoot near me to find professional photographers and studios in your area. Whether you want a cozy indoor shoot or an outdoor session, these poses will help you create timeless photos that you’ll treasure for years to come.
