One of my favorite outtakes from shooting in Tahrir square. Here, Ihab, my late cousin and I, join late night protests, conversations and sing alongs. The camaraderie and openness is unmatched. These guys caught wind that I was photographing for a local paper, el Sharouk and wanted to get some photos. This guy took it to the next level. I hope this fills your heart as much as it does mine, then and today. This is more for me than it is for you. . . . . . . . #protests #tahrirsquare #masr #egypt #jan25 #cairo #photography #nikon #d800 #ihab #habby #happy #grace #flag #streetlight #nightlife #outakes #photojournalism (at Cairo, El Tahrir Sq. On January 25th,2014....
It may not be time to celebrate but it is certainly time to check yourself and remember why the revolution happened, remember those who died and got injured. Remember those who spoke up at a time where no one else dared to whisper their thoughts even to themselves. Remember the day we broke the silence and tore down the wall of fear but most of all remember, that's it's far from over but it's all worth it for our Egypt!
