How do you feel a female light and L, as well as a male Misa will turn out like?

Hard to say! I love me some genderbend but I also,,,,really like Light's personality as it is?? And while I don't think L and Misa would change much personality wise, I think Light would change. At the very least she'd be more disdainful towards men than women, which is already a huge change if no one else is swapped but the Main Trio. Light would be closer to her mother and sister, would probably idolize her father less. Would take "Men Are Dogs" very literally. I think she'd be angrier. Tbh I think fem Light would resort to physical violence far easier than masc Light—she's a better manipulator too, so she gets away with it with nary a scratch on her record. She's definitely a closeted Mean Girl. But I also think that she'd be freer with her more artistic urges to create—she paints in her spare time but they never come out Perfect™ enough for her to show them off so it's just her little secret.

L on the other hand I feel doesn't change much, just because of the way L grows up. Every whim indulged, expectations clear, seeing every gruesome thing the word has to offer far too young. Again, I think she'd rely less on Watari simply because he seems like a proper Englishman that doesn't think a lady should be exposed to violence, but L would absolutely steamroll over him anyway. I imagine Watari tries to parent her more than he does masc L in canon, so L learns to hide shit from him pretty quickly. Her sugar addiction is indulged mostly on her own and when Watari isn't in the room, because the disapproval he radiates is annoying. I also think fem L fist fights all of the Task Force members at least once. She thrashes them all and it's great. The Task Force fights her on far less than they would masc L, both because she's a woman and for some reason people assume women can't be predatory, and because they're afraid she'll demand to help them all "train" again and get their ass handed to them in front of the others.

Masc Misa on the other hand is someone that I imagine has more physical differences? Like—he's bigger than fem Misa, so I think he'd try to interfere with his parents' murder and get a gnarly scar out of it. Like,,,,imagine a very tall goth guy with long blond hair and red eyes with this wicked looking scar across his face singing songs about Love and giggling and blushing and squealing while holding Light's hand. This is the vision. Sachiko is far less approving of their relationship in this case, but Sayu is their biggest champion because she thinks it's adorable. And she's right. I'm also very much of the opinion that a masc Misa does drugs. Idk what kind but that's definitely something I can see him getting away with. He is high at LEAST two-thirds of the time.

first of all. this ask gave me an excuse to finally share this drawing of male!misa i did a while ago lol

second!! i feel like there would definitely be similarities between m!misa and matsuda, but i think m!misa would still keep many characteristics of f!misa, like the pushiness or the confidence that comes with the fame from being an idol. i feel like he’d also be a bit cockier than matsuda lol, but also more squirmish. like where matsuda could shoot a guy and not bat an eye like in canon, m!misa would still scream during that scene where L and Light were fighting!! in general i think he’d be very similar to canon misa in terms of personality tho!!
