OOU Characters as Anne With an E Characters
because i'm in my feels 😚✌️
Bronwyn: Diana
Both grew up with very high expectations from their respective families (plus they're both, like, rich) and care deeply about their friends. I guess you could also say Anne because of how quick both are to take action but overall Diana's a better fit.
Maeve: Ka'kwet
Both curious, intelligent, extremely determined and strong individuals, despite the struggles each has faced. They are both remarkably strong-willed and find solutions in impossible situations.
Cooper: Matthew
Kinda unconventional pick because of the obvious differences, but both are sorta shy, dad-figures, sooooo full of unconventional love and just generally adorable.
Kris: Gilbert
Medical kings + just so loving and kind and smart and lovely? Both of these characters own my heart and are the best boyfriends to their respective partners.
Knox: Moody
The definition of 'sweet but no brain.' Both characters are pushed to the side a little on account of the strong personalities by which they are surrounded but are well-liked due to their easygoing personality as well as their humour. They are both brave when they need to be and eager to help their friends on their missions.
Addy: Anne
Oh, Addy and Anne. Are there any characters as sweet and messy as these two? They both mean so well but occasionally fuck up trying to save themselves or their loved ones and value family and friends alongside their lives, not to mention that they both underestimate themselves from time-to-time.
Luis: Sebastian
They just have the same vibes. Flirty, kinda dumb but also really clever and obsessed with their girlfriends.
Nate: Cole
An out of pocket pick for Bayview's fave criminal, but the similarities between Cole and Nate are more than you'd initially think: they're both outcasts of sorts who are lonely and quiet, but brilliant in their own rights (even if they do underestimate themselves). They don't have the best family lives but they treasure time spent with friends; their school lives aren't the best either, being misunderstood by the students and teachers at their schools, and are susceptible to fits of rage. And also the Addy/Nate and Anne/Cole relationship parallels????? Perfection.
Phoebe: Mary
She's smart, sassy, soft-hearted and strong. Am I talking about Mary Lacroix or Phoebe Lawton? Who knows. They're both just amazing characters who loved people so much and deserved so much better.

I understand that the relationships anne has with both ann and mariana is complex and i understand that mariana is the longest love she's had, but it makes me so sad for ann how the second anne saw mariana she asked to marry her and live with her (i know it's been weeks maybe even months but it makes me sad how quickly she tried to get with mariana)..
#i saw the poster for season 2 and I'm not happy with the fact that mary is on it..#ann better be happy in season 2 or else I'm gonna be pissed#gentleman jack#anne lister#ann walker#mariana lawton#the ann(e)s

"Soooo..." She hummed softly, lighting the cigarette between her lips with her dark green bic lighter. "Have you noticed that clientele has been going down hill lately or is it just me?" she moved the lit cig away from her lips, blowing out smoke. "Some of us got mouths to feed and homes to pay for..." Mary rolled her eyes, flicking ashes. "This field really isn't what it use to be, Lawton-" (@heartbroken-matriarch )
Yeah...may I ask who are you? And why do you care if the clientele is going down or not?

I'm really uncomfortable with the way MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN is treating Amanda Waller. I was already unhappy with how the character was treated in the live-action SUICIDE SQUAD movies, but it's like each new adaptation doubles down on the worst aspects, and once they decide Waller is an explicit *villain* rather than an antihero, they really unsheath the misogynoir.
Amanda Waller is probably John Ostrander's most important contribution to DC lore, and the way he handles her in the original SUICIDE SQUAD series is very interesting: It's always conscious of where she's come from and why she's ended up the way she has without excusing the ways she sometimes goes way too far (and even she sometimes realizes she's gone way too far). What drives Waller is not that she's a ruthless Machiavellian schemer, it's that her background (which the adaptations usually discard) makes her pessimistic about the idea that people can change.
Waller's attitude is that if you have a self-destructive obsessive (e.g., Bronze Tiger), a suicidal ticking time bomb (e.g., Rick Flag or Floyd Lawton), a traumatized idealist (e.g., Mari McCabe or Eve Eden), or a monstrous overgrown child (e.g., Captain Boomerang or the SS version of Poison Ivy), you aren't going to be able to fix them, and there are limits to how much you can even talk them down, so the best you can do is maneuver them so their inevitable destructive outbursts might accomplish something useful. Waller is not a xenophobic asshole like post-Crisis Lex Luthor, nor is she a patriotic zealot; in the Ostrander stories, she's as much social worker as strategist, with all that implies, both good and bad. She's a morally complex and interesting character who is frequently treated in troubling ways by people other than her creator, often just because she's a fat middle-aged Black woman.

— character info sheet.
(repost, don’t reblog)
name: Floyd Lawton.
name meaning: Floyd, meaning "gray or gray-haired". There's many ways we could interpret the word "gray"; Floyd's life has been a series of miseries, so I'd argue it's indeed quite dismal! Lawton, derived from Old English and roughly meaning "old farmstead estate".
alias/es: Deadshot. Keep it simple, Floyd.
ethnicity: Presumably at least part English, at least in that way that a lot of Americans have English ancestry but have no real connection to the country. Headcanon-wise, he is the usual generic White American Admixture + Tongan on his mother's side. Passing for white is conditional, as always, and he gets pretty dark when he tans.
one picture / icon you like best of your character:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2a5ff9facc12c95b335c557620bfb5f9/b6efda0a714d916c-11/s250x250_c1/bffb08d158467c3827c1e696bf4492a1f1076583.jpg)
three h/cs you never told anyone:
Floyd can sing! I personally headcanon him to sound a bit like Justin Furstenfield of the band Blue October; smoky, raspy, haunted voice full of all the agonies he'll never say.
Managed to kill a target with only a NERF gun once. I refuse to elaborate, because it's a lot funnier if I don't.
After years of hanging out with the Six, Floyd doesn't actually give a shit about what pronouns you call him. He'll respond consistently to "Floyd" and that's all anyone needs to know about him. Still goes by He/Him but literally just does not care to correct people if or when they assume otherwise.
three things your character likes doing in their free time:
Smoking, obviously.
Have mentioned he's into whittling; he'll whittle just about anything cleavable enough if left alone with it, including bars of soap and candles.
Oddly enough, playing Angry Birds. [just a personal headcanon] Zoe got him into it.
eight people your character likes / loves:
I feel like I'd be cheating if I listed the entire Secret Six but I will mention them regardless [sobs in I have never seen a decent Catman RPer]
His daughters, Zoe and Suchin.
Owen Mercer. @playedbetter it's partly a fondness because Floyd knows his father extremely well.
Mary! @babydxhl Smoke buddies.
@ people: yeah IDK interact with me more?? Shrug. My problem is mostly that he doesn't really know people.
two things your character regrets:
Killing his brother, Edward, on accident. This is just canon.
[headcanon] letting his mother take advantage of him sexually. We love survivor's guilt here at scattershot.com!
one phobia your character has:
Does seeing himself nude count? Floyd basically goes into autopilot when showering, having sex, etc. He will literally never get over this also.
Tagged by: I stole this lmfaooo Tagging: @minodalus , @cxpperhead , @playedbetter specifically for Lori, @telekinctic , IDK will think of more people later it's 1 AM and I am Neil banging out the tunes
#out of bullets - headcanons#masterpost#[doing this for Jon/Basil as well obv but I am so tired]#tw csa implied

We’d like to express our deepest disgust against the Australian dept health esp w.a nsw qld, they are liars frauds insulting poisonous evil and do things contrary to humanity, ie exploiting mental health eg after learning what they can do as nurses quacks and security and police , bend it an entrap people indeed just lie to kidnap poison ruin the reputation of regular normal people of the public. It could be anything eg a person who complains about sex abuse of a police man / woman (under pretence of scoring smack or pot off them) to a jealous pig quack shrink of family member of eg of a photographer, to stop them.
