Sooooooo, did I just post about one fanfic I wanna write and am now posting a different one? Absolutely! Let me introduced to you:

The wizard and the infant

An (jse) ego fanfic inspired by Epic! The musical, specifically the first two songs, that is very oc-centric. I don't wanna spoil too much, and I'm tired and don't know what else I'm supposed to write. So for now, enjoy the beginning!

Chapter one (part one)- brace for a storm

Marvin was not having a good week.

A few days ago, a new guy had shown up at their doorstep. That would not have been a problem, if not for Anti deciding that guy was his new favourite puppet and showing up almost every day to attack them and get to him. And yesterday he'd finally managed to kidnap Jameson (or as they started calling him, JJ). He'd not slept all night, neither of them had, really, which really didn't help with them trying to come up with a plan now.

Currently Jackie and Henrik were in the middle of a screaming match. Marvin could feel a migraine coming on. "No! We have to get him out of there, now!" Jackie yelled at Henrik, who slammed his hands on the table. "We can't! We need to recover! If we go now, Anti. Will. Kill. Us. Why can't you get that through your thick skull?" He spat back.

"So what? We should just go to bed? Maybe have a nice breakfast in the morning? Some eggs and bacon maybe? All while Anti is doing god knows what to JJ! Well I'm sorry, but that's bullshit!" Jackie turned towards Marvin. "You agree, right? We need to get him. Right. Now."

Marvin knew Jackie would ask him to agree sooner or later. He sighed.

"Jackie look, I really want to get him back too, but Hen is right. We are in no shape to face Anti right now. I'm not even sure I'll be able to use my magic by the time we find him if I don't rest. I really don't like it, but we have no other choice. We can't help JJ like this." Jackie looked at Marvin in disbelief.

They agreed on most things, and Marvin knew this wasn't what Jackie wanted to hear, but it was what he needed. He was stubborn, and if he refused to listen to Henrik, Marvin telling him might at the very least make him think.

"I can't believe you guys." Jackie got up and walked towards the door. Henrik looked like he was about to say something, but Marvin stopped him.

Jackie slammed the door.

"Give him some time. We're all not doing well right now." Marvin told Henrik. "I know, but I wish he wasn't this much of a thick-head sometimes." Henrik ran his hand through his hair and sighed. Marvin chuckled weakly. "I don't think that's a saying in english, Hen."

Henrik smiled at the comment. Marvin rested his head on his arm. The ringing in his head was not getting better. He was about to ask Henrik for something so the migraine wouldn't get too bad, when he noticed movement on the other side of the table. He realised he'd completely forgotten about Chase, who was sitting on the other side of the table. He felt bad. The poor kid looked awful.

Chase, like Jackie, was just 15. It was shit that he had to spend his teenage years trying to get away from a murderous demon. "How are you doing, Chase?" Marvin asked. Chase winced at the mention of his name. The screaming match had clearly made him anxious.

"I'm- uhm, I dunno"he finally said, quietly. Marvin smiled at him. "That's ok."

"Yeah, like Marvin said, were all not doing well right now." Henrik added and put a hand on Chase's arm. Chase smiled weakly. "I'm really tired" he finally said. "Well, we should all go to bed now." Henrik lightly clapped a hand on the table twice and got up, a little habit Marvin had noticed him doing regularly.

Marvin got up too. He looked at the clock. It was 7 in the morning now. He was absolutely exhausted and while walking to his room, he could feel the ringing in his head grow louder with every step. He considered turning around to get painkillers, but he reeaally wanted to get to his room.

That confused him a bit. It felt like something told him that getting to his room was better than getting the painkillers, as if it wasn't his own feeling.

As soon as he closed the door to his room behind him, Marvin felt like someone hit him over the head with a baseball bat. He heard a scream. His own scream. Pictures of his friends and him being attacked by something flooded his mind. A dark shape… Anti.. no, there was another one… who?…

Just as he felt like his legs couldn't carry him anymore, his head cleared. The ringing remained, not as violent as before, and finally he recognised it. He let go of the door handle he hadn't even noticed he was clinging onto and turned around. Standing in front of him was Darkiplier.

2) Which ego is your favorite, and why? Chase! Definitely Chase! IDK, why, but he's very relatable in many ways! I just love him! I know we don't have much to go on but I do love writing about him! And Marvin! I just haven't had the chance to sit down and get back into the game yet with the Egos! Still trying to figure out my own versions of them!

4) Which ego-centric video is your favorite? Ah man that's a tough one! There's Say Goodbye that I really love! I actually did like my own little Whumptober back in 2k19 (or was it 2020?) for that video! Another is of course is Kill JackSepticeye. Is that when Jack went into a coma or after? Was it a video from the future? Was the video a warning from Anti? Another one that is really cool but unfortunately at the time I think I was starting to experience burn out is, Don't Make Eye Contact the video that we got with Marvin! I just didn't get the chance to comb through it for any theories. I might actually do that here! Right now, I'm just trying to take one day at the time.

21) Do you have any WIPS about the egos? If so, what are you making? Oh hell yeah baby! I just need to sit down and go over everything!

There's Septicscape that I'm re-writing. I don't want to go into details so please don't ask, but I just need to re0write that story! It's not going where I want it to and a couple of the writers that were helping me out and said yes to guest staring in it, we . . . had a falling out. Again, please don't ask!

There's also the Untitle.exe that's a Swap!AU that I want to do with it! AntiSepticeye is an Anti-Hero in this one! AntiSepticeye is the Hero of Septic City! Jackieboy Man becomes the Villain (still trying to figure out a Villain name for him, b/c he winds up with Anti's powers, glitching, controlling electronics, blackouts). Marvin is the Time Traveler, so he's JJ and has JJ's powers. JJ is the Magician! He's the one that has the magic! Henrik von Schneeplestein is a Conspiracy Theorist Vloger! He has a YouTube Channel that goes on to explore and experiment with different Conspiracy Theories. Chase is the Good Doctor! And I know what your thinking who's the main Villain? Well, that's DarkSepticeye! Think of him as the Septics version of Darkiplier.

I also, have a couple of guest stars in there as well! @10th-no-name-person guests stars and I have it where she and Robin (Special Effects, Robin's a Superhero as well in this one!) were old partners in crime before Anti helped Robin out. And of course @weirdmixofweirdness is guesting staring too as Nora Weird!

I have a few other ideas that I want to do with the Egos and also maybe some crossover with the Dream SMP Fandom. Like a Superhero AU with them meeting together or something like that! But yeah! I have a ton of ideas! I just haven't had the chance to sit down and start writing them out yet!

I do miss the JSE Community! So, I'm going to try and maybe get back into it! Slowly but surely! But I do miss the Community and talking to you Fiends! Thanks for the ask!

Ah, I LOVE set it off! I also used to be subscribed to Sonadow Fazbear a long time ago, glad to know they're still thriving. I'm also pretty fond of JJ, I'm writing a story about him now for my creative writing class. Though Marvin is on level playground for favorites, I love both of them a lot! -🎁

Yeah, they’ve almost got 53k subs now. I have a YouTube playlist for writing and a bunch of the songs in it are from the channel.

If you want to combine Jacksepticeye and Markiplier with Set It Off, you should check out Liv me Entertain U. The channel contains animatics using the egos, some of which use SIO songs. I really like the artstyle too. Plus, there is apparently an Anti-centric video scheduled for Christmas.

What’s your story about? It’s cool that you get to write about him in class.

I love Marvin too. It’s great to be able to experiment with what he can do with his magic. I’ve got a bunch of Fae!Marvin headcanons which I think I posted a week or two ago.

6- so the combination of fluff and angst is fanastic. Happy but hurting. If I remember, I was doing an on/off cycle where a chapter would either be fluff-centric or angst-centric. But it’s also fine to merge the two in one chapter.

7- Okay, so I never showed the fight Chase and Henrik had when Chase first learned that Jackie was injured. There’s also a point they brought up, “that’s not just a nightmare.” I like the idea of Anti manipulating your perception of reality (whether that be through hallucination or by controlling the body without the person’s knowledge). There’s also the mimicry Marvin does of Jackie’s power. But that’s because they have the same abilities. Jackie is gifted at manipulating electricity while Marvin is tremendous with fire, and those are their mains. But anyway. More Anti manipulation of reality possibly?

8- Chase’s last line: “You deserve better than this, Jackie. You were my brother before you were a superhero.” Okay, I kinda want that to say ‘before you were my hero.’ But, that’s some resentment that Chase may have at Jackie for doing what he does. Could explore his true feelings (brought to light by Marvin). Is it resentment? Envy? Hates the self-sacrifice nature? I’m even unsure.

10- okay, so I had Chase go off on Jackie. I had Chase be manipulated into a precarious mental state, and I made him hallucinate Jackie saying “I didn’t want you here.” And Anti grabbed the scalpel and placed it on Chase’s neck to try and get him to kill himself.

Jameson have a natural aptitude for instruments. But that doesn’t serve us any good right now. But this was also back when everyone was still very timid to bring up Chase’s mental health besides generic “i’m here for you” that doesn’t do anything to help. I mean, JJ can see when something is wrong, it’s just very hard to put into delicate terms. 

I think I need to re-read my entire story, unfortunately. I say unfortunate cause I think I’ll want to edit, and I don’t know if that will pick up loose ends or just more backstory ideas. And while I can give all the backstory I want, that doesn’t help me moving forward. I need to plan what happens next, not what has already happened.

okay. I wanted to start on AO3 comments now. I feel like I’m idling. So, I’m doing 10 chapters. Because I know I’ll blast through them all and read past my bedtime if I don’t (yes, I have a bedtime. I have to parent myself).
