One fic I highly recommend reading is this Bucky x Reader fluffy piece -

Pretty In The Windowsill - Bucky loves to read early in the morning in the windowsill, the gleam of the morning sun providing just enough light to see the words on the page. But she can’t help but notice how pretty he looks sitting there, and she needs to capture the moment.

it's seriously one of my favourite Bucky fics of all time. I'm currently in the works of finishing up a piece of fanart I created for it, which has taken me fucking months to do which I apologise for. The way she describes Bucky in this is truly captivating, and I can picture him so well it's amazing. This is one of many I read over and over again 🙈💕

The Red Dress: Part Two

Pairing: Chris Beck x Reader

Warnings: couple of swear words, acting like awkward teenagers, cavity-inducing fluff

A/N: find The Red Dress on my masterlist for the first part! (Link in bio) So I know I teased a smutty part two but please don't be mad at me. Thank you once again to @cchellacat for your reassurance. Seriously, don't know what I'd do without you.

With all of his bravado with the "your place or mine" statement gone, you sat next to Chris in the back seat of an Uber headed to your house, and both of you were terrified.

It was like being driven home by your Dad after the middle school dance.

The car was silent.

This was a terrible, terrible mistake.

When the car pulled up to the curb in front of your house, you turned to Chris, fully expecting him to stay in the car and ask to be taken to his own house, so the two of you could return to a horribly awkward workplace on Monday. Instead, to your surprise, he scrambled out of the car and around to your side, opening your door and holding out his hand for you to take.

Your heart fluttered.

You tucked your hand in the crook of his arm and walked up to your front door.

The Uber pulled away.

Digging through your bag nervously for your keys, you paused your shaking hands and looked up at him.

"Look, I'm clearly terrible at this and my champagne courage is wearing off." His little grin was adorable, UGH KEEP IT TOGETHER. "I want you to come in, obviously, but let's take the pressure off. Let's just talk."

Oh, he looked so relieved. "That sounds perfect."

You unlocked the door, and he followed you inside.

"Make yourself comfortable," you invited him, as you tried to settle yourself on your couch without wrinkling your dress too much.

Chris took off his suit jacket, and started to unbutton his waistcoat. Your heartbeat started to stutter. If you were a functioning adult, you would have been able to carry through with your attempted seduction. YOU would be the one unbuttoning him as he tried to slide you out of your dress. Instead you awkwardly reached down to unbuckle your heels and drew your feet up next to you on the couch.

Once Chris draped his suit jacket and waistcoat over the back of a chair, he sat on the opposite end of the couch.

You giggled.

He glanced over at you with his shy smile. "What?"

"Your white shirt, with the bow tie. You look like a cater waiter."

As you both laughed (thank goodness) you scooted over closer to him. You reached over with one hand to pull the end of the bow tie, hoping it wasn't a clip on. You weren't disappointed. You glanced up at his eyes watching you, and pulled the tie open.

"There," you brought your other hand up to use both to unbutton the top couple of buttons on his crisp white shirt, hoping you weren't shaking too much. You were such a mess. "Now you look comfortable enough to stay awhile."

The energy in the room had shifted again to resemble the heated moment between the two of you at the event. This time instead of surrending to it, you dropped your head and looked up at him, feeling bashful. You started to shift back to your side of the couch, but Chris put his hand on your shoulder and you stopped. Your mind went to that subtle, teasing touch down your back and you couldn't help your breath speeding up.

Biology. Just biology.

His tongue darted out to wet his lips and your eyes were immediately drawn to the movement. You whimpered. It was a small involuntary sound but there was no mistaking it. His hand reached up to cup your jaw. This was it. No turning back now. Your eyes drifted closed and you felt his body shift closer to you on the couch and then there he was, that gorgeous mouth pressing to yours and fireworks were going off in your heart. You were so far gone for this man, it was laughable.

One kiss became two, then three, and then you couldn't stop yourself from parting your lips a little and drawing his plump lower lip into your mouth. With a little growl that made you squeal in the back of your throat he grasped at your waist and pulled you into his lap. Your long dress impeded your legs and instead of straddling him (which your body desperately wanted) you found yourself with your legs together, knees drawn up between his chest and yours, half on and half off his lap. You were unwilling to break the kiss now that you felt his tongue sliding across your own, so you struggled to get closer with him until you couldn't take it anymore.

"GodDAMN IT!" You shouted in annoyance, causing Chris to laugh in surprise as you shook out the long dress and stood on wobbly legs in front of him. "This goddamn dress!"

"Don't be mad at the dress." Chris reached his hands out and pulled you back towards him, resting on your hips, making you forget your aggravation. "I would still be trying to stay professional if it weren't for this dress."

You bit your lip. "Well, that was sort of my plan."

His hands pulled you a little closer. "You look so gorgeous tonight." You knew you were blushing, and he was a little bit too. "And I just thought..... Fuck it."

Pausing to collect your thoughts, you took a breath and reached your hands down to begin gathering up the fabric of the skirt till it was a manageable length, revealing your legs to your mid-thigh, and then finally straddled his lap like you wanted.

"Hi."

His hands went back to their slow dance down your back. "Hi."

You leaned your forehead against his and then turned your head to kiss him again.

"I want to take you out to dinner."

Puzzled, you leaned back. "Right now?"

"No! No, not right now. I mean," he dragged a hand through his hair. "I want to keep kissing you right now, but I want to take things slow. I want to take you out on a proper date before we do anything else. You deserve that."

Somehow you had transitioned a potential hookup into a potential relationship.

"Fine, Beck, take me to dinner tomorrow. I'll call you an Uber and you can be a gentleman if that's what you want. But you better make out with me till it gets here."

Chris pulled you closer and proceeded to kiss the sass out of your mouth.

The red dress had far exceeded expectations. A successful experiment.
