Selfship AU Idea 3/?

Title/Name: Little!AU Genre: Fantasy/Romance?

Changes: -Blake gets a species change. (Human-ish ---> Little/Little person.) -Blake meets Loki before Thor's banishment to Midgard.

Basic plot:

Loki, after a stressful day at a celebration, goes to sleep in his chambers, only to be awoken in the middle of the night. They find a mirror that was sitting on their desk is now broken on the floor, despite remembering that it was placed far away from the edge. That's when they notice something tied around it: A piece of twine with a large fishing hook on the end.

Loki then finds himself just barely able to see a small boot run under his bed, and finds a rat hole was made in his wall underneath his bed. Left behind, a tanned rat's hide, which was left behind in the creature's scramble to return to the walls. Recalling that things have been going missing around the palace, such as patches of fabric, sewing needles, and even a strawberry from a cake once, things many would write off as misplaced or forgotten, he realizes that this 'creature' must've been the little thief running around.

The next morning, he goes around, now noticing that each room in the palace seems to have a rat hole hidden away somewhere. Little things that would be easily overlooked stand out to him now as evidence of a small creature's existence in the palace. Even going so far as to open the rat holes wider when he notices small trinkets inside. (A thimble for a cup, a nut shell for a bowl, a doll's shirt, etc.)

Loki notices changes in his room when he returns later, and realizes that the little thief is attempting to reclaim the rat hide that it left behind. Thus, Loki attempts to use it for bait to capture the little thief. He's interrupted though, and while distracted by his brother, the hide is taken back from right under his nose.

A playful scene ensues, with the little thief rushing around Loki's room from behind the walls to hidden hiding places, and him using magic to perform little tricks as the god tries to locate him. (Knocking over a chair behind them to make Loki jump, making Loki's dagger fall out of their pocket, etc.) All the while, barely able to contain his laughing. This is the most fun Blake's had in ages and Loki can tell it's light-hearted in nature.

Frigga calls for Loki to meet with her and confronts him about what he's been doing around the palace, though. Assuming they were causing trouble due to the events of the celebration. (Massive unfortunate coincidence that the night a celebration occurred that bothered Loki was right before the day Loki would be sneaking around the palace breaking open rat holes, oops.)

Loki is upset by this, tremendously so, as he's basically been accused of taking out his anger by destroying the palace. Of course, he can't tell her the real reason, though. Who would believe a little creature wearing doll's clothes was living in the palace walls and stealing things? Especially from him, the one everyone was convinced couldn't be trusted?

Seeing Loki upset, the little thief, Blake, feels awful about it, feeling like it was partially his fault. After all, he was the one who was careless, if Loki hadn't known he was there, he wouldn't have been looking around for evidence in the first place. So, Blake tries to apologize as best he can without getting caught: Leaving a gift.

A beautiful gold ring with an emerald on it, some chocolate (Which he knows Loki likes, and isn't too common on Asgard.), and a paper note with the words: 'I'm sorry' written on it. (He can't write very much on it since it's such a small piece of paper.) Loki finds it fairly quickly. Despite being so small, it's clear there was thought put into it, and Loki is... endeared by it.

Blake accidentally makes his presence known, looses his footing, and falls from his hiding spot. Loki notices before he could hit the ground and catches him, not having seen Blake, and Blake is terrified, seeing as 'bad things happen to littles who are caught by giants'. ...Oops.

But it's okay, Loki isn't going to kill him, so it's fine-

Blake is about...maybe nine inches tall? I figure anything the size of an actual borrower would be super awkward to write for.

Little people have minor magic capabilities. (As noted in the above blurb.)

Blake lives in a compartment in the walls. It's pretty close to Loki's chambers, and he's been living in there for a while. It's close enough that he can hear people talk in Loki's room.

There's a reverse type AU as well similar to this. Blake is a giant in that one, but that's a story for a different post-

Frigga knows. She fuckin' knows, dude. She's one of the main reasons more people don't know Blake's there.

I think a car ride with my polyship would be some kind of circle of Hell. Love them all to death but we all know what happened when Logan and Wade had to spend any amount of time together in that Honda Odyssey.

We fight over the aux like a bunch of wild animals until Logan (who’s doing all the driving since he doesn’t trust any of us to) growls at us to shut the fuck up and turns off any music. Silence lasts exactly .05 seconds until Wade starts singing a Britney Spears song off key.

Steven fronts the entire time because neither Jake nor Marc wants to deal with our shit. Steven is adorable but unintentionally annoys tf out of Logan by asking ‘are we there yet’ every hour.

I’m the navigator (we take a wrong turn, Logan is at his limit.)

Venom demands we stop to get food every other mile. Eventually they demand to be let out at the side of the road so they and Eddie and just run to wherever we’re going.

“I want complete silence for the next twenty minutes.”

*Wade starts rolling the windows up and down*

“Peter, hit him for me.”

“Spidey would never lay hands on his-FUCK RIGHT IN THE RIB”

Logan pulls over multiple times to fist fight Wade on the side of the road. Peter joins in once and gangs up on Wade with Logan. Steven watches from the car. Venom joins in because why not, Eddie complains the entire time. I’m the referee.

Good times for everyone.

Absolutely ;) Who doesn't love a little havoc, right? We'll go with Marvel for this one, because there's so much there. Joyriding with the Green Goblins and listening to the chaos of the world below , laughing it up with Arcade and Ms. Locke as someone runs through a custom-tailored nightmare maze.... It's all very romantic ;) My favorite scheme is probably the time that 🪆🐍 and Sabretooth went on a string of romantically-tinged bank robberies that playfully pinned the blame on the Avengers at the time. A huge, free wheeling heist chain of excitement and chaos <3

Who confessed first? what was the confession like?

Spot is an enigma, a man beyond his mortal realm. A man who has the power to travel anywhere he pleases…. But he could never tell you how he feels. He’d feel like, in the event of a heartfelt confession, you’d be terrified and run away. After all, it’s not everyday an inter dimensional being wants you to be theirs.

In the event of a confession, he would expect you to do most of the talking. It’s not something he’s proud of, but his emotions, to him, don’t matter anymore because of what he is. The confession, if he would imagine it, would be something incredibly cheesy but something so.. him. He didn’t have flowers because the kind you liked were out, didn’t have any romantic place to go to because he was afraid of being shunned, and the cupcakes he made burnt :(!

If he could, he’d cry upon a confession on your end.

Who gets sick/injured more often? who is the caretaker?

This goes without saying, but spot is.. not human, or at least he isn’t anymore. He can’t catch a cold, or get sick, it’s beyond him now. So, you would have to undoubtedly be the one he winds up taking care of.

He seems like a worrywart. In the event you are sick, or Ill, or whatever it may be, he’s going to act like you’re dying. He won’t leave your side for one minute, constantly trying to cook for you or *cough* steal *cough* medicine (it’s a little difficult with his holes.. please be patient).

How do they feel about PDA?

Oh my god.. please. He craves it. So much. It’s unhealthy. Even if he isn’t.. the most easy to hold or cuddle, he wants nothing more than to feel your warmpth against him. You’re the last, if not only thing he has to affection.

He can’t kiss you, or really.. do anything.. but he has hands! And a body! So he’d love it if you would spoil him with endearment.

In public, things are slightly different. He hardly goes out unless it’s to continue his ‘life of crime’, but if you were to tag along and show him affection, in public.. he wouldn’t know how to react. Like, you’re proud to be with him??? Him?? HIM??

How do they comfort you/cheer you up?

Oh how he just hates to see his love sad :(. You give him so much love and affection.. the least he could do is return it tenfold when you feel upset.

He’ll hold you, tell you sweet things, try and lull you. Your emotions, to him, are as important as breathing (if he.. even needs to do that).

Maybe will even cook for you! He has a thing for spicy food. Can he like, even eat?

Traits they like in a partner?

He wants someone who is like him in the sence that also feel somewhat outcasted from society. Someone who isn’t conveniently attractive, has features that aren’t considerably desirable. He loves those things. Hooked noses, droopy eyes, eyebags, stretch marks, pimples, he loves it all. He’s not a picky man.

Might perfer chubby partners (would appriciate the comfort of holding them, not to mention he thinks curvy women are attractive.. he’s such a dork).

Spot would like a significant other thats artistic or creative. They might seem more open to his ideas, or at least to him that’s how it would seem. One with a sence of humor aswell.

(Maybe a significant other who can defend him if he’s being attacked for robbing some place)

Traits they don’t like in a partner?

I.. really don’t think there’s much he wouldn’t like in a partner. He likes anyone and everyone as long as they love him and they’re nice to him. That said.. he probably couldn’t stand someone who’s rude, or cocky to an extent. Someone who’s on their phone while he’s trying to talk to them. Someone who actively turns down his love. He’s a very clingy man, he wants the affection and if you can’t give it it’ll upset him.

Do they buy you gifts often? What would they buy you?

He loves to (steal) buy things for his darling. Little trinkets, or other things he thinks they would enjoy based on his knowledge of them. He loves how their face brightens, how he knows he just made their day. He can’t do much for you, but he makes it up with anything he can do. He wants you to feel like a goddess.

The fact that a hobby of Victor's is listed as carpentry in an issue of Mary Shelley overdrive has lived in my head rent free for years.

The idea of this giant, feral man-cat only finding some semblance of peace while sitting quietly, whittling at a piece of wood, or bone, with his claws, his amber eyes fixed intently on his work, gives me all sorts of feels.

Imagine the scenario, if you will, of Victor having a mate and said mate becomes pregnant. I never imagined Victor coping well with the news. There are too many possibilities for something like that. What if he becomes like his own father toward this child? What if the child ends up like Graydon? What if he can't control himself and he hurts his mate and cub?

Imagine Creed distancing himself from his mate, much to their distress, spending hours, days, in the woods, only returning at odd times and locking himself in a spare room.

Then one day, the tension in the home is too much, his mate is hurt and angry and wants to know why he's avoiding them and the child they carry. And Creed just glowers menacingly, amber eyes sharp and claws flexing as he works to calm himself before he takes his mate's hand and leads them to the room.

Inside, he's been working. He's built and carved the most beautiful crib for his cub. The wood is from the trees around their home and the cravings are of different animals, mostly big cats and mostly big cats hunting things. He's carved it all with his claws, quietly, shut away, if only so he can get some time to think and work through the feelings he's having about his child.

Essentially, I love the idea of Sabretooth coming to terms with things by carving things with his claws. And that one went on a little longer than intended.

Look at them. Can we talk about the random design choice to give them purple pants? I'm not knocking it, it works for the design, but it's really random imo.

Let's also not mention that Loki looks like they wrestle bears for a living. And the fact they gave them an elongated crotch for some reason-

I love the jacket with white fluffy trim, it's a nice reference to the comics. As much as I was a bit iffy on the fingerless gloves at first, the more I look at it, the more I think it works. I also really like the overly-exaggerated gold shoulder plates.

The stubble is an odd choice, too. Given, as far as I've seen, there's been no other version of Loki's character with facial hair. Makes me wonder where the designers got that from.

Maybe the designers made Loki more muscular + gave him facial hair to make them look more like Thor? So it's easier to see the two as brothers? Idk, it's a bit weird to me.

Either way, I love this version. I love AA!Loki's personality, they're such a brat and it's adorable. They give off tsundere vibes like mad and I find that both adorable and hilarious.

You know, up until the writers turned him from an interesting character into 'generic badguy mcbad who tried to destroy all of the universe for literally no reason', but you know what? I'm already not considering Phases 3 and 4 of the MCU canon, I may as well do the same with that, too. Because clearly, the current writers/directors at Disney/Marvel don't know what the hell they're doing with Loki in any context.
