More tiny paintings on #stonehengepaper samples, this was the aqua hotpress and hoo boy was this one exciting, slow to permeate was not kidding. I loved it's texture, I loved inking with my #marunib but coloring was not what I expected, the watercolor markers layered very strangely and ink washes sat on the paper before sinking in causing a bit of bleeding. I think I'd love this paper the most of the ones I've tested but I would need to play with it more before I'm comfortable with a big piece. My colleagues @bediuniversal , @elizabethpuranam and few others went to file TV reports on the drought from Hathkarwadi village in Beed . News agency Reuters say , “Beed is among the eight districts in Maharshtra where poor rainfall has ravaged crops, dried up reservoirs and forced people to migrate from their villages”. Vijay Bedi photographed these 2 men who despite their hardship looked amazingly positive and happy with each other. In this village where water scarcity has forced the young of the village to leave-the life for the elders have been a real struggle. I drew these two senior citizens of Beed because they looked positive and they have a happy smile. Used a #crowquill nib on acid free bamboo paper. So, project time. For Christmas I got myself the #legionpaper mini pad sampler (they are roughly the size of playing cards) to see if there are any full size pads I want, in order to test them I needed a project, introducing the Shadows and Flames flower portrait project. I'm putting this paper through it's paces using my inks ( #drphmartins #bombayink my handmade #metallicink and the glorious #tyrianpurple from #diamineink ) using my #marunib also used my gray #tombowdualbrushpens for the skin tone. This was the #stonehengelight I really liked the way the nib flowed over the paper, when I did the various ink washes and layering it warped a bit so if I get this one I'll only use it for ink sketching rather than ink painting.
