Angela I remember filming this moment where you offer me a brownie and I have to decide if I'm gonna take it. And it kept making us laugh so hard...It was making us laugh so hard. The brownies were good. They were very good. -Jenna

Michael Scott Headcannons
Michael Scott x reader
Requested: @maleahoswick
***
• In the beginning, the relationship is kept secret until Dwight finds out about it shortly after you and Michael inform David Wallace
• Not everyone in the office is approving, Kevin is always on the lookout to see if it’s true, sort of how he spied on Pam and Jim. Angela doesn’t approve, she likes to believe that your love is fake
• Most everyone in the office is approving, even in the warehouse below, they all approve and it’s most surprising to know that Roy is one of those that is more supportive than others
• You and Michael seem to have everything in common but you honestly don’t
• When you’re sick, Michael will make you take a sick day, even if you’ve taken them all up he will make you stay home and rest
• Being insulted by the fact Ryan invited you and not Michael to his weekend campout was easy for you turn him down and say you wouldn’t be going if Michael was not invited
• Seeing that Michael is still a little vulnerable to Jan, you have no problem sticking up for Michael whenever she tries to pull a fast one on him, trying to talk him into leaving you, you just weren’t having it
• When it happened one too many times, you let her have it and from that point on, she stays from you both
• You take things slow in the start of your relationship. By about a year into it, you move in together and two years after, you both are engaged
• If you have to work any late nights, Michael will stay with you. But as each person is leaving, he’s doing it more in a way as your boyfriend than he is your manager, and that is something kept between the two of you
• If someone disrespects you in anyway, especially in front of him, Michael will get upset and start defending you immediately, putting that person in their place
• Michael is your comforter during panic attacks and surprisingly, so is Dwight at times if he’s there as well
• Sometimes he likes to leave little gifts on your desk before you arrive. It could be anything from your favorite chips, soda, to your favorite candy with a little note attached to it
• When you had gotten the iPod during secret Santa, you knew immediately it was from Michael and had sort of the same reaction as Ryan did in that episode, only you were more gentle about it
• It wasn’t like you didn’t appreciate it because you did, to you, it was always the thought that counted but truth be told, you were a little embarrassed this happened in front of everyone
• You both LOVED pretzel day, Michael would always wait in line for you both and would brings yours back when he returns because you were often busy with some work
• When you meet Michael, he was with Carol at the time, and because you weren’t there when she rejected his proposal, you comforted him as he told you about it
• This all happened before you got together, so when she refused while breaking up with him, you agreed to go to Jamaica with him, and that’s where things begin for you both
• Michael becomes overly protective of you after Roy’s attempt to attack Jim, so he bans Roy from the building unless escorted by Hank. Your safety to Michael has always been his top priority.
• Michael loves to brag about you and to show you off when given the open opportunity
• Threat Level Midnight was a blast to film
• Michael just loved you to pieces as you did for him

𝙳𝚘𝚞𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚃𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚋𝚕𝚎 - 𝙶𝚊𝚣 + 𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚔!𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛
This particular list came out of the blue and was inspired by the dynamic I have with one of my friends, one that's hilarious as fuck and I can see this happening with Gaz, too.
You and Gaz are like two peas in a pod. Except you're not messy. At least, that's what you tell yourself.
If there's one thing Gaz will absolutely have, it's tea intel on just about... everything and everyone around y'all. He never tells you how he acquires it, just that he "has his sources". 🙄
Gaz is as funny as he is passionate; never a day goes by that you don't die from laughter because of him. You can always count on your stomach hurting. A lot.
He uses his charm to maximum effect because most would be surprised at the amount of shit you two get in because of him.
You and Gaz stay texting each other whenever you can, which is how you get the tea intel. Has some memes interspersed throughout. You've had some people around you worried before because you were trying your best not to wheeze out in public. Goddamnit, Gaz.
You know those friends whose faces you can't look at because you'll laugh? Yeah, that's Gaz. And you, too. You two will absolutely refuse to look at each other during meetings because of this. When the situation calls for it, however, you and Gaz share that look. Y'all know that look. He has you beat with his facial expressions, though.
When your schedule allows it, you and Gaz are almost always hanging out because why not? He likes horror movies so he's always roping you into watching them with him.
Your love language is roasting each other. Because you can and you do. It's gotten to the point that the others think you two hate each other with the way your roast sessions go. Rest assured it's all love between you two. You admire how Gaz can do it so effortlessly while doing work. Hell, sometimes you can't help but laugh at what he says in response.

The mention of Jim and Pam made me think of Michael and Holly's relationship. There is such a different dynamic between Michael and Holly and Michael and all of his other romantic relationships. Nearly all the other women in Michael's life (also Ryan, but that's another conversation) are objects of Michael's worship/obsession. Most of his other girlfriends don't even really seem to like him that much. Carol got weirded out by him pretty quickly, Helene was just using him as a rebound, and Donna used him as the other woman. Jan is the only other relationship that started out somewhat normal, with mutual attraction, but it mostly stemmed from that forbidden relationship with a subordinate for Jan, who proceeded to completely lose it (whether because or in spite of Michael).
Holly is the only one who "matches his freak," as they would say nowadays, creating a more equal relationship as opposed to worshipper and worshipped.
But there's a problem with Holly, too. She's hardly even a character. She only appears in 17 episodes, and a few of those are just over the phone. It seems like when they were creating Michael's soupsnake, they just took Michael, keep most of the weirdness but make him a little bit more grounded (so that she can make Michael more grounded by the end) and make him a woman.
I love Holly, she's adorable and one of the characters I relate to most, personality-wise. But there's only so much personality there. The rest of her character is just "dorky HR lady who Michael loves and who loves Michael" and that's pretty much it.
I feel like the only woman they really took the time to write any real depth and growth for was Angela. Don't get me wrong, all of the women of The Office are amazing and beautiful, but they're too often objects of affection rather than their own characters.
i don’t know exactly how to say this in a way that comes across clearly, but i am obsessed with the idea of depicting m/f relationships in a way where the hype isn’t all on the man’s love of the woman, and how swoonworthy it is and how powerful. (this has been on my mind an awful lot lately because lost loves to lean on this, especially in season six. it’s also something that often grates on me about the office’s depiction of jim and pam even though i’m very fond of jim and pam.) i really want to see women being active in the relationship too, rather than just being the object to be pursued or worshiped or cherished or whatever the heck! not in a way that depicts women going out of their way for men who don’t reciprocate, which i think is always the go-to assumption when you talk about this kind of portrayal of a relationship. but i love the idea of women being able to make romantic gestures and acts of great love toward their male love interests in a way that is, like, considered cool and iconic in the way that so many male characters’ romantic actions toward their ladies are cool and iconic. idk how to say it. like, something that goes beyond ‘is this woman being honored nobly enough by her man, which is the sum total of all romance?’ i want the women participating tooooooooo! WHY NOT!
#wow this really got away from me#time to go back to schoolwork#the office#michael scott#holly flax#relationship#michael x holly#jim and pam#angela martin

You know what I ain’t like about Gina? Martin would say all kinda fucked up shit to Pam: teasing her for wearing a weave or calling her “beady bead”, for not having a man, constantly referring to her as some kind of animal, and saying she’s got an attitude…and Gina would just…sit there and not say anything. That shit used to piss me off. Like, I’d be damned if I let some nigga disrespect my best friend or any Black woman like that. I swear, I don’t know how y’all can lay down with colorists, because girrl I could fucking NEVER!!!

Jenna Ortega is the new Winona Ryder. She's sitting in the same space that Rachel Ziegler was supposed to occupy until she started running her mouth about politics. Ma is the brand new "It" girl, staking her fame on quirky little remakes, fun if a little formulaic reimaginings, and the occasional slasher or two. She followed the Scream Queen route to stardom, building her resume on sh*t like X and two Scream flicks, before getting Wednesday and being vaulted into the mainstream. I like Jenna. I think she's good at her job. I think she's MUCH more intelligent and aware of the business she's in, than most women her age. I think her opinions are both valid and true to reality, but the way she says the things she does and gets away with it, boggles my mind. Because, again Ziegler said the same sh*t and her entire career is dead because of it. I still haven't figured but that disparity but that's not what this post is about. Jenna recently said something to the effect hat women should be leading their own projects, that they shouldn't be pigeonholed to remakes or sequels. They should have their own franchises to lead and i agree. The thing is, the vast US audience does not.
It's odd hearing Jenna say these remarks during the press junket for Beetlejuice II. Sh*t comes off a little hypocritical and a lot ungrateful, but then you have to kind of look at it from her perspective a little. Ortega got her shine of her performance as Wednesday Addams in Netflix's Wednesday. I adore that show but i have been a fan of the Addams Family since i was a kid. I also shill pretty hard All that said, Wednesday is a reimagining of a franchise that has existed in literally every form of media, for decades. for Tim Burton AND they got my evergreen crush,Christina Ricci, who played the character on film before Jenna, to play a pretty substantial role in that story. Plus, it was just generally really cute. She was also in the two newest Scream flick, sans Wes Craven. Again, established IPs. Every major Hollywood production she's been in thus far, with the exception of X and that weird one with Martin Freeman, has been basically a recycle of some other concept or established idea. I imagine she's frustrated. I would be, too. This isn't biting the hand which feeds you, it's bringing awareness to a real problem in the industry, one that she's going to need to solve herself.
Way back when Negroes not named Sydney Poitier couldn't get jobs in Tinseltown, we did our own thing. Yes, i am a Black. They were called Blaxploitation. Now, i hate that entire genre but i respect what it did for our visibility. There would be no Denzel without Shaft easing the general audience into accepting Black dudes as leading men. We don't get Black Panther without Superfly, and as absurd a statement that is to hear, it's true. Hell, Tarantino basically paid homage to that entire era of film making with Jackie Brown, who starred Pam Grier in the leading role. Grier is KNOWN as THE Blaxploitation femme fatale! Bruce Lee did more for Asians in Hollywood with Enter the Dragon, than anyone else, at any time in history. Dev Patel is doing his best, right now, as we speak, to get that corner turn on Indian actors with his work on Monkeyman and the steady influx of K-culture is making their content much more palatable for the general eye. Seriously, don't sleep on Korean entertainment. Those motherf*ckers make dope sh*t. If Jenna wants those roles, she's going to have to make them, herself. Just like everyone else. And she has a fantastic home for that.
Jenna is a Netflix product, let's be clear about that. None of this success is possible without them. None of it. Wednesday popped hard and she was able to parlay that into her near mogul status. She's getting Producer credits on season two, so this is a perfect opportunity to branch out. Millie Bobby Brown did, to middling results. I generally enjoy her Enola Holmes fair but that dragon movie sucked so much ass. Still, those were her projects. She chose them for herself. She developed and produced them. Ma is all over her sh*t lately and that's because Stranger Things has a shelf life. She knew there needed to be something after and she did her thing. Charlize Theron put together that Old Guard flick, the first in a franchise she wanted to push. Dunno where that is considering we only got the one flick, but there is a lot of potential there, in that world. Jenna has to do something like that in order to prove her point. She has the star power now. She has the cache. Now, she needs to put her money where her mouth is and bet on herself. Obviously, there are strong hits she can study. Wednesday, itself, did gangbusters but so did Fallout and Yellowjackets. That said, those odds still feel dummy long
Most of these female focused, female lead, franchise attempts suck ass. I'm going to be honest, i can't think of a single one that i actually like. Alien, is the only one that comes to mind, and Ripley was written as a dude. Now, the flicks which came after, to varying success, are a definite mixed bag, most starring Ripley, but Romulus didn't and was dope as f*ck. If they ever get around to putting Machiko Noguchi on screen, we'd have another solid protag in a franchise that almost exclusively gives the nod to female strength. That sh*t should, for sure, be an anthology series but I digress. What else do we have? Resident Evil, Charlie's Angels, Underworld; Most of them are just okay. None of them are "great", all of them have diminishing returns. If Jenna wants these types of roles, if she wants to see more original IP developed for women, she's going to need to make that sh*t, herself, because no one has cracked the code on making them good. Enola Holmes is a decent distraction, but when compared to the BBC version of her older brother's adventure? Not so much. The Old Guard is lost in development hell. The one Halle Berry made for herself, bombed. On Netflix. The two Karen Gillan and Mary Elizabeth Winstead dropped were fun as f*ck but didn't have the support behind them to really gain momentum. Here's hoping The Ballerina breaks that glass ceiling because i agree with Jenna. We need more female lead franchises, if not for anything other to diversify the content out in the wild.

You had been working for Dunder Mifflin for about a good four years now, and since Pam started at about the same time, you both became instant friends.
Seeing that as it be with Pam being your closest friend and all, you were discovering new feelings for your manager, Michael Scott and those feelings grow stronger every day, so much that you are uncertain on how much longer you could hold your secret crush in. You didn’t even want to say a word of this to Pam, despite of her being your closest friend. In all honestly, you weren’t quite sure how to approach and take a look at those feelings in your head.
The very day Michael had asked you for a date, you hoped for that first first date experience in the past could finally be left behind. It was one of those where your date “forgets” his wallet and you ended up having to use almost your full paychecks for whatever activity you chose to go do. You wanted to shake it out of your head, but of course it was impossible… for now at least. There were plenty of fish in the sea, and everyone had to do the waiting until the right one for them swims by for you to catch.
So when it came time for you date with Michael Scott, who by the way, asked you out two years after you started working for the company, it was pretty obvious that you were a little shy once Michael swings by to pick you up for your date night. But a hint of confidence started brewing within you when Michael doesn’t just show up by himself, but with a bouquet of your favorite colored roses. The next thing that helped you to become less shy was when he offered his arm out for you to take before walking you out to his car parked next to the curb. It was as if he had a sixth sense that allowed for him to read your emotions and to know how you must be feeling, while driving to the restaurant were reservations had been made, Michael started asking you the getting to know you questions in addition outside of the office.
While doing so, one of the first questions he asks you is what kind of music genre you preferred and when you told him rock, hard rock, punk rock, and alternative, he turns the radio on to the rock station and the first song you both get to hear is The Offspring’s “Self Esteem” and before you know it, you’re both singing along to it, although Michael does find it a tad bit obnoxious.
“The more you suffer, the more it shows you really care. Right? Yeah!”
Your date with Michael was actually the first date you’ve ever been on, and all you could say it gave you the time of your life as it seemed to end rather too quickly.
There was definitely a connection between you and Michael, as for the next day while working in the warehouse department, Michael had come down not to just visit you, but to also hide from his boss, Jan. But when he gets to where you are, he sees Roy hitting on you once again while making yet another attempt to ask you out. Michael steps into your defense and suspended Roy from his job and paycheck before calling Hank to come and escort Roy to his car while staying behind to make sure Roy was off company property. After having made sure you were okay, Michael decides to take you back upstairs to the office and that’s exactly where Jan was waiting with her arms crossed and an agitated expression before Michael explained what happened just minutes before returning.
Jan takes it to David Wallace and speaks to him about it, along with Toby. The result of this happening was corporate fired Roy and refused him his last paycheck. When the end of the work day comes up close, Michael called you back to his small office space and asks you out for a second date. Of course, you accept and a fun night exploring New York in the cold weather together.
After several more dates together, you both made your relationship official not to just family and friends outside of work, but eventually to everyone you worked with in the office.
They all now know.
The relationship lasted two years until Michael decides it’s time to get you a ring, he felt the timing was right and he was ready to pop the question and make big comments with you, and it was truly a happy ending.
You said “Yes” to his proposal.
