Lil bit late to mARTch because my iPad was giving my issues™️ but have my day one, fave thing to draw. Still love drawing anything that flies and of course I have a big soft spot dragons. Was going to mess around with the colors a bit more before posting and might still do so later but I’m about to go to bed and she looks fine with solid flats for now. Super proud with have much I’ve improved since participating in last years mARTch though!

Day 2 of mARTch

My inspiration for drawing varies daily based on whatever thing I'm hyperfixated in the moment, so did a style study instead of artists that make me feel inspired.

The left is my attempt at Nate Steven's style. I was taking inspiration from his artwork in Lumberjanes. His style is so simple and looks almost effortless. It's very lose and simple which is something I'm not used to lol. Ripley from Lumberjanes reminded me of Kenny so I tried to draw him in Nate's style. Something about his art makes me feel like drawing cute stuff.

The right is studio ghibli. I love how the characters move and how the faces emote. It's very fluid and soft lines and movements. I really wanted to see Craig and Tweek in the Ghibli style because I've already been imagining a magical Ghibli movie au for them. I think Craig's outfit fits into this art style nicely. Tweeks hair was a pain. Messy hair in this style is something I haven't quite figured it out yet.

1-ce que vous aimez dessiner.

Certaines espèces animales et végétales me fascinent. La nature fait de si belles choses, parfois un peu étranges il faut l'avouer, mais tout de même fascinantes. Je vous présente la balane : petite bizarerie animale, un des seuls crustacés qui reste fixé sur un support. À marée basse on dirait juste une petite vérue en forme de volcan sur un rocher. Et à marée haute elle sort ses cirres, par un genre de petite porte sur le dessus de sa carapace, pour attraper le plancton. Minuscule, bizarre et mystérieuse, elle a tout pour me plaire.
