My OC, Joaquín, is beginning his apprenticeship under Goya… and expressing his feelings on Soult in the process, hehe. Definitely not Goya’s caricatures, but the boy is just starting out and needs to learn a lot.

While trying to suss out what the difference between "baguette" and "baton" in French is (both words refer to stick-like objects).

Because long bread, chopsticks, and magic wands are all baguettes.

But the Marshals of the Empire get batons.

My current conclusion is "a baton must be something you can beat someone on the head with, without it breaking."

Which reminded me of a shitpost I don't think I ever got around to drawing.
