The Tree on Clos Cavanis Farm

I came up with another painting from a visit to the Clos Cavanis Farm in July. I discovered this lone tree by itself in the middle of a few fields. It was massive. I love how it dominated the whole area and make its presence known. Pear and Lime Half, 8 x 8 x 3/4 inches, cold wax and oils on wood. My final painting, number 25, for the Kennedy Gallery Juried Show in May. I started these paintings in January when I saw the call to artists from the gallery. I painted two paintings a week and worked out perfectly. This week I did three paintings. My theme was painting still life of fruits with bowls, vases and tea cups. My challenge to myself was to paint them all in cold wax and oils.
