PotF challenge, day 10 - Something you love about Kapu
He’s more of the quiet one but I feel like he’s absolutely essential to the existence of the band. An incredible engineer, I love it when he nerds out on facebook posting essays about behind the scenes of technical stuff. He is often seen in youtube (& other sns) comments, replying to fans who ask questions about how something was done. He does mixing, producing, video editing, photography and of course composing. He used to be in the underground electronic scene, how cool is that? He loves a lot of the same music that I do, Depeche Mode for example. The man has a great taste and draws inspirations from those artists he loves.
Oh and he made my dream come true: after nearly 3 months of posting on PotF social media almost every day since the release of Alan Wake 2, Kapu did his magic and released a 30-minute mix of Herald of Darkness. And he even replied to my comment thanking him for that. He’s a gem.

Poets of the Fall is a rock band from Finland formed in 2003. The band consists of Marko Saaresto(lead vocalist), Olli Tukiainen(lead guitarist), Markus Captain Kaarlonen (keyboards, production), Jani Snellman (bass), Jaska Mäkinen (rhythm guitar), and Jari Salminen (drums, percussion). Band Review Poets of the Fall is a well known band and is known to produce great music. Personally, this is what most people say that listen to their songs. Their music is deep with great messages and usually has good rhythm and melody. They have produced several albums the last one being Ultraviolet in 2018. The music group constantly puts out high quality music. Personally, my favorite song by the band is Carnival of Rust followed by War. Their rhythm is pretty unmatched and they have a great expression as well. The lyrics of the songs are profound and go well with the music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKk1u5RMTn4 Carnival Of Rust has a great music video as well. I have personally seen this video several times. It is also a song that I play on repeat many times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f_hewSrAH4 War in my 2nd favorite song by the band. These 2 songs are a must listen. The band is really good at performing live as well. Poets of the Fall is among the veteran bands that is still producing great music. Hope, you enjoy listening to them.

How is it already half a year since Worlds Into Words got released?! Time flies! Also time for some thanks, because this can‘t be said often enough:
First and foremost to the wonderful people who are Poets of the Fall, particularly to Marko, for working together! For lending his voice to the album’s second main character, bringing him to life in a way no one else could. So thank you, Marko, once again, and also Captain for the technical side of Marko‘s recorded parts.
With Worlds Into Words as Flamelight‘s debut project and the first instalment of a larger story arc, it‘s such a big step for me as an artist to have come to this point with this release. And that you, Poets of the Fall, took and take part in bringing words and emotions to life and characters into existence - I’ll never have enough words to express how much this means to me.
Also equally huge thanks to each and everyone of you out there who listens, likes, shares, comments - keep it coming to help spread the word!
Remember, the album is available on most major streaming + download services, with some new ones coming soon, if things go as planned.
Whether you give the audio poetry a re-listen, or only discover it just now - may you enjoy it and find something in it that speaks to you.

GHOSTLIGHT or When your favorite band, Poets of the Fall, release a new album:
When said album is absolutely breathtaking, in every way.
When you listen and re-listen to the new songs, captivated and so very moved - Discovering beautiful little details in every tune, every imagery, while the lyrics begin to unfold their meaning within you, always food for thought, this time no exception…
When your heart knows nothing but Poets of the Fall…
…and you‘re just overcome with emotion because of certain lyrics and because these wonderful people do exist in this world. Because their music and art speaks to you in the way it does, has done so for so many years, and undoubtedly will continue for even more. The unique, wonderful, treasured way only Poets‘ music can: Accompanying you through so many stages of life, through ranges of emotion, memories, experiences. Like a trusted presence, a beloved friend‘s embrace. Like a place made of sound that you can call home.
Then words fail you for all the feelings and thoughts the new melodies and words evoke. Your hours are lit by Ghostlight, quite literally. Too many favorite songs to decide (yes), something different to appreciate about each, nothing new with this brilliance a band.
Ghostlight - what a touching masterpiece. Thank you for yet another door into your world, a new chapter from your imagination. Thank you for this treasure, and even the ninth one by now. There is so much to be found in this.
Thank you, Poets, again and again, for all you do.

“Space piano improvisation & sound test! 🎹 The small keyboard behind the computer kb is great for quickly trying out ideas & doesn’t take much space. But since its keys are narrower than regular piano keys, I have noticed it’s difficult to switch your brain back and forth between two different key sizes. I always end up overshooting octave jumps on the small kb, so I might have to get a kb with regular keys after all...”
