Holding an indie movie release hostage and demanding that a show the creator was just an acting job in stay in the top 10 for 30 days is bad enough, but they 1) didn't get contracts to let it be released outside the usa and 2) They didn't advertise it properly and 3) They made him sign NDA's so he couldnt properly advertise it himself is some of the most heinous bullshit and i hate that this doesn't even rank in the top ten worst things Amazon has done

I'm so beyond excited for Markiplier's upcoming movie, Iron Lung! I loved the second trailer so much, I couldn't help but draw something from it.

This was fun to do! Usually when I do something like this, I use at least some lineart, but I didn't do that at all here and it was actually really nice, and something I want to do again.

The convict was walking around and holding his side as he kept bleeding a lot. It was unbelievably painful and he felt like he might pass out, but he had been feeling like that for a while so who knows if he might.

When he saw the huge hulking figure in the distance and heard it call out to anyone and said it was friendly. Convict didn’t wanna trust it, but to ether get patched up and go somewhere safe maybe or stay here and bleed out he would definitely try it with the alien.

He walked over and waved a hand. “H-hey!”

Ok ppl keep saying that Mark is going to stop doing youtube soon bc of his upcoming movie and i think yall are being goofy. Yes there will be a day when Mark stops uploading videos whether thats the day he dies or turns 50 or whatever, yeah i know that day will eventually come. But this guy is so passionate about his work, his work ethic is absolutely batshit. If he stops doing youtube he'll be working on some other big projects.

And maybe that's the fear ppl have? That Mark will ditch our phone and pc screens for the silver screen. But again I really don't think this is likely. Especially bc Mark is a man who always wants 100% creative control and a lot of tv film studios aren't going to give him that.

Also mark is making a movie bc of fuck you energy, at least to some extent from my knowledge. He wants to be taken seriously in the film industry world and other such things that have shunned him in the past (reporters not wanting to interview him on red carpets etc etc). I really think he's doing this as an f you i can do what you do kind of thing. I know he's putting a lot of love and passion into this movie and he does put that into videos as well. But I dont think his goal or passion is to become a big time film director for tv. I could be totally wrong.

But I genuinely think that Mark's biggest passion at the moment and for a good chunk of the future is youtube and I just think yall are being silly if you think hes going to end the youtube train anytime soon. But don't just take my word for it, take his.

Another thing about the Iron Lung trailer is how much it reminds me of Mystery Flesh Pit. Not in any direct way. More just in that way that the one thing we hear in all accounts of people who explore and map and construct in the pit is just how much blood there is. That it’s dark, and it’s damp, and it’s so damn bloody all the time.

And so looking at the trailer, I imagine what it must be like to work there. To slip and fall into a pool, to stand up again trenched on blood. And how long you would have to work there for the horror of it to wear off. How many blood pools do you have to soak up, splatters wiped off your mask, before it turns into just another day.

Because the trailer for Iron Lung looks incredible and it is unsettling. Would that fear ever wear off? And if it does, would you ever be the same? Would being inside the Iron Lung ever feel just normal, ever not be terrifying? Would you eventually find the comfort in it, the freedom?

I think those themes are very central in this type of cosmic horror, even across stories.

Would there ever be a way of continuing, moving on, after what you’ve seen down there? What freedom awaits? Would it be a mercy to be consumed?
