He’s very lowkey

He’s also just aware of the fans

And their potential reactions

So in public he doesn’t have much contact with you at all

He’ll walk next to you

And he’ll converse with you quietly

And not much else at first

Once the fans know about the relationship he’s a little more open to contact in public

He’ll put an arm around your shoulder or waist

He’s likely to give you his jacket if he suspects you’re cold

He does want you stay next to him when you’re out and about though

He will pull you close to him if anyone approaches you in a way he doesn’t like

He’ll full on move between you and anything (or anyone) he thinks is dangerous

He’ll let you hold his hand form time to time if you want

It’s not his favourite thing to do

But what can he say

He has a soft spot for you

Around the Guys

I mean

These boys like to joke around and tease

So he knows if he does anything remotely embarrassing in front of them they’ll mock him for weeks

Which means most of the time he’ll just sit on the couch with an arm around you

If someone sits on the other side of you you’ll feel him pull you a little closer

While he doesn’t always love hand holding while walking

He likes it when your hand finds his while it rests on your hip and you intertwine you fingers with his

It makes his heart flutter and a little smile will tug at his lips

He’ll get a little startled if you sit on his lap

He’ll probably laugh and hide his blushing face in your shoulder for a few moments

Normally doesn’t pull you onto his lap

Unless there’s nowhere else to sit and Jackson is trying to coax you sit on his lap to annoy Mark

Then you won’t be able to escape Mark’s lap, you’re stuck for the night

Every once in a while he gets really nervous or flustered

Only rarely

But in those moments he’ll reach for you immediately

He’ll hide his face in your hair or your shoulder while he calms down

There’s no way to hide that from the boys

And the teasing only makes his blush that much worse

But hey, it’s worth it if you’re in his arms

In Private

He’s a lot more relaxed in private

No one can see him or say anything or tease him

So he has you in his arms more often

At first it was mostly just while you would be on the couch or lying in bed

But then you said that you liked being in his arms because it made you feel safe

He swelled with pride at that comment

And since then tries to keep you in his arms as often as possible

So he’ll give you back hugs sometimes when you’re in the kitchen

Otherwise he’ll follow you into the room to chat

He’s pretty talkative when it’s just the two of you

And he likes to tease you at times

He likes it even better when you dish it right back

When he’s feeling lazy he doesn’t care where you cuddle

He just wants you next to him

But when he’s really in the mood to cuddle he’ll pull you to the bedroom

He likes to be the big spoon to keep you safe

He will sometimes cuddle facing you

He’ll softly trace the features on your face while he chats with you about life

If you’re upset he’ll pull you into his chest and let you cry it out

Whichever way you cuddle he makes sure he’s closest to the door

He likes talking to you but he also loves the quiet moments with you where there’s not pressure to talk

He doesn’t readily admit it (and he blushes when he does) but he loves listening to your heartbeat

On bad days you give him space

You know he needs to start working things out in his head

He always comes to you to talk when he’s ready

And when he does you’re there to help him through whatever he’s dealing with

He swears you’re the most patient and understanding person he’s ever met

and so they go to all these different places

but it’s always as friends

but then one day mark just knocks on yugyeom’s door after a bad breakup

• when he figured out girls no longer had cooties

• you guys were pretty inseparable throughout middle school

• but then high school happened and things changed, he started hanging out with the “cool kids” more than you

• but it hurt because he was your best friend and you fell in love with him

• you went four years without talking to him very much and it killed you

• so it was the last few months of senior year (grade 12) and prom was soon

• little did you know jinyoung was clenching his teeth as he watched the exchange from the back of the room

• after saying goodbye to mark he nervously headed towards you and a smile broke on his face when you looked up at him with those eyes he feel in love with

• and he definitely looks more handsome than you remembered in his suit

you were out with Sungjin

he asked you out to one of his favorite ice cream shops

Sungjin has liked you for a while but he was exceptionally secretive about it 

he was just your classmate in Poetry 101; but after that class, you guys kept having the same classes together 

so you guys were close, but yet, still so far

Sungjin opened the door for you 

“thanks Sungji-”

you were faced by your ex, who was also the ice cream’s shop worker

“oh.. y/n.. it’s been a while..”

“uh yeah..Jinyoung.. it.. it has..”

you were fumbling your fingers; out of awkwardness

“so what do you want to get?” Sungjin tried to make you feel comfortable 

before you could even reply, Jinyoung interrupted

“our Rocky Road is pretty good.. it’s my favorite..”

Sungjin jumped in, “y/n didn’t you say you liked cookies and cream?”

you nodded; a wash of ease flushed through your body when you heard Sungjin’s voice

you could hear Jinyoung chuckle, “who are you? y/n’s boyfriend?”

“who else would I be.. right babe?”

you played along with it, “of course babe.. one cookies and cream... and what do you want, babe?”

Jae was gushing to Jimin about you

he was madly smitten by you

Jae takes the phone back from Jimin and reads what Jimin sent to you

Jae shuffles down the street; on his way to the ramen shop

he walks into the shop and sees you

Jae looks over and sees Chan.. next to you..

“uh it seems like you guys are on a date..I’ll leave now...”

you grabbed Jae’s hand, “no.. me and Chan aren’t on a date.. um we are..”

Jae looks back, “wat?”

“yeah.. um we broke up a while ago because she told me she didn’t like me anymore...” Chan chuckled nervously 

“wat?” Jae repeated in cold sweat

Chan pats Jae on the back, “take care of her, hyung..”

“WAIT WAT?”

BRIAN

for the short time but a sweet time, Brian got to, MAYBE, be able to collab with you

JYP’s new female soloist

he really liked your style and your smile

gosh your smile was what made his bad day caused by Jae, into a good one

but he heard that you were having a thing with Jaebum, his best friend

everyone always talked about how good looking you two looked together 

it was all just rumors though 

Brian walks past the recording studio with you and Jaebum

Brian makes eye contact with you as you smiled at him and gestured him into the room

he shy walks in as Jaebum sends him a smile to appreciate his presence

“so are you ready, Brian?” Jaebum rubs his hands together

“reeeadddyyy for what?” Brian was confused

you went into the recording room and placed the headphones on

“you’re doing a collab with y/n..”

“oh..”

Brian and Jaebum sat through an awkward silence

“and we broke up..”

Brian didn’t know what to say

“I know you like her...” Jaebum says awkwardly, “and honestly, I don’t want to let her go but.. I know she likes you too..”

“that’s the.. main reason why we.. we parted and that’s the main reason why I wrote this song.. for her and.. your style works well with her...”

Jaebum rubs the back of his neck and looks at you; doing vocal warm-ups 

“I don’t like the thought of you and her but... she really can’t get enough of your voice, man...”

Brian was baffled; Jaebum’s words were echoing in his head as he was looking at you with his head tilted to the side

he sees you take off the headphone and speak into the mic

“when can Brian come in so we can harmonize?”

Brian didn’t know if he should feel happy that you chose him over Jaebum or to feel sad knowing that his friendship with Jaebum will never be the same..

WONPIL

Wonpil’s had a crush on you since high school

but you were happily dating Jackson

he was the complete opposite of Jackson; quiet, introverted, and never had the chance to say anything to you other than, “hi” or “hey”

now he was working as a pianist/singer-songwriter at his friend’s bistro

one night, he saw you come in

it was just you

you looked the same; as pretty as he remembered you

“Wonpil? is that you? I haven’t seen you in a while, how have you been?”

he fidgets as he makes shy eye contacts at you, “g-good.. how about you?”

you gave him a nostalgic smile, “you’re still the same as ever.. that’s good after all this time..”

every night since then, you would visit him at the bistro

and he would play every song request you gave him

one night, when you were chatting it up with Wonpil

he sees Jackson walk in, with a couple of his high school friends

Wonpil starts to feel small again

you turned at the sound of Jackson’s voice

Jackson shifted uncomfortably, “well.. uh.. I’ll leave you guys to it then...”

Wonpil speaks up when Jackson walks away

“are you really having a good time?”

DOWOON

Dowoon wouldn’t have gotten out of the house if it wasn’t for you

Dowoon has been your childhood friend since the beginning of time

and he’s figured out he had feelings since you started drifting away from him

Dowoon showed you the world of video games to forget about Mark and it worked

“well me and y/n are gonna check out the latest final fantasy game right babe?”  you looked at Dowoon the whole time he talked

“yea-” you were interrupted by Mark

“y/n you play? it’s so rare to have girls by video games.. that’s .. so cool..” 

Nayoung seemed confused by the whole conversation

Dowoon looked at Mark from head to toe, “and I’m glad I can play games with y/n.. and not play her..”

he leads you into the video games shop

you just looked at him; speechless

“don’t look at me like that..” Dowoon lets go of you and starts to walk around the shop

you would pop up at every aisle that he tried to hide in 

“y/n what do you want?!” Dowoon spoke up, causing people to look at you guys weird

Happy Got7 Comeback Weekend!!!

okay so 

somehow, your friends had managed to drag you out of the house, and also convinced you to go to the largest frat party you had ever seen

and you’re enough drinks in to feel like ur senses are a little fuzzy, but not so many that you feel out of control

but then

in walks Mark Tuan, president of the frat responsible for all of this

aka the hottest fucking guy on campus

and for a second you forget to breath because wow his presence is breathtaking

everyone immediately knows he’s there, they don’t even have to see him

it’s like the party was made for only him

and luckily for you,

you knew him

well, not personally really

but you were one of the fortunate ones to be able to share a class with him

philosophy, every tuesday and thursday

usually he was in the back of the room, an empty seat away from you, dozing off, or scribbling stuff in this notebook that looked like it had been his only academic material since his sophomore year of high school

but for some reason

he was always passing the class??

and you knew that because you always looked when he got his tests back

but you hadn’t been doing that lately because one day he caught you trying to peek 

and he raised his eyebrow and let out a little laugh at you when he noticed

anyways

you weren’t really obsessed with him like ur best friends were

i mean yeah

you thought he was hot and stuff

he had a nice body

nice smile

although he wasn’t talkative and super outgoing like the other guys in the house, the things he did say were meaningful

every word he said felt personal, like you were the only one he wanted to be having a conversation with 

and that’s why his personality was so magnetic

a natural attraction that everyone had to him

and tonight was no different

he was surrounded by his brothers, hardly through the doorway before they swarmed him like flies to honey

and you couldn’t help but notice how his tshirt draped across his broad shoulders

how his tongue ran along his bottom lip as he waited for his friend to finish sayi-

oh god

he caught you staring

you made eye contact

oh fuck

you look away and walk quickly from the living room out to the kitchen

bc now you’re gonna need more alcohol

surprisingly, it’s pretty quiet in here

and you happily begin to unscrew the lid of some liquor

until the door opens

you turn and there he is

“hey”

oh god all he said was hey and it was beautiful how does he exist

“I know this is a party, but no one should ever have to drink everclear” he says with this little smirk on his face

you laugh shyly but know that he’s right, so you screw the lid back on

“I guess you have a point. I’m y/n”

“I know. we have philosophy together”

and then your eyes get wide because he knows your name???

and you kinda just stand there in awe as he smiles at you

“I’m Mark”

your heart is beating so hard that you can feel it in your stomach and a blush is rising to your cheeks but you manage to say that you remember from class

and then he goes

“speaking of class, how did you do on that test yesterday?”

how is he being so casual right now???

but you tell him you did alright

he takes a seat on the table to listen to you babble on about the questions you felt unsure of

and you both actually end up talking in the kitchen for almost an hour before a couple bursts in, full-makeout mode

you and mark awkwardly look at each other before he says

“hey um... do you wanna continue this conversation up in my room? and like if that would make you uncomfortable I definitely understand-”

this is the first time you have ever seen him bumbling around like he doesn’t know what to say

“-but I just like talking to you”

you say you would love to and smile as he puts his hand in yours

and guides you up the stairs to his bedroom

it’s pretty clean for being in a frat house, you must admit

and you both take a seat on the edge of his bed where you continue the conversation

before you know it, it’s 3 in the morning and the party has died down

your friends have all gone home when you said you were fine and you tell Mark you should head back

but he asks if you’ll stay the night so he doesn’t have to worry about you making it back safely

you can even sleep in his bed and he’ll go downstairs on the couch if you want

but you laugh and tell him you’ll only stay if he’ll sleep with you

his whole face lights up when you mention it and he quickly agrees

he just looks so cute all smiley as he goes to get you a clean tshirt to wear to bed

you get all changed (after he insists on exiting the room) and climb in to bed

he follows and gently pulls you into him

you catch each others eyes

and your heart starts racing again and your throat gets dry

but he leans in and softly places his lips on yours before pulling away slowly

a smile stretching widely on both of your faces

before he says goodnight and kisses you on the head

as you might have guessed - mark is the chill dad and jaebum is the intense dad

they would both be amazing fathers though

mark would be the parent you go to when you want moral support

or if you need someone to tell you everything is going to be okay

jaebum is the parent you go to when you need practical advice

or when you need someone to give you direction on what to do

they don’t really ever fight

but sometimes Jaebum will yell at Mark for being too lenient

Mark always just laughs it off and pecks Jaebum’s cheek

this annoys Jaebum

but he secretly loves it

family vacations would 100% be a thing

no matter how many kids they have, they would be a really close family

both would take turns cooking and both would have their own special dish

same with the cleaning

Alright alright, soulmate!au where you get all of the same marks and bruises that your soulmate receives

fencer!jackson and skater!mark

so Jackson always randomly gets these scabs and marks on his knees and elbows 

thankfully they’re not to painful when whenever he spars in fencing

mark always finds his chest hurting and will have black and blue marks all over his torso from when jackson was fencing a bit too tough one day

and sometimes jackson and his fencing buddies fight with random objects without any protection

and yea, a $10 plastic lightsaber actually hurts when you get stabbed in the chest with it

jackson knows that quite well

unfortunately, so does mark

the two are actually acquaintances and secretly love each other

which is obviously how they became soulmates

they went to the same school and had a lot of the same classes

but they didn’t hang out too much outside of school?

because jackson was too busy trying to get to the olympics for fencing 

and mark was too busy seeing how many flips he could do before either breaking his board or his wrist

so they go throughout middle school and high school totally crushing on each other and being acquaintances

but never really getting to know one another

until one day in senior year when their professor pairs them up for a project

yea he’s an 85 year old dude that’s pretty woke and loves playing matchmaker

so mark offers to open his house to work on the project

and once they work out a time with jackson’s training schedule, the two finally are alone together in a room for the first time ever

and of course it’s terrifying, but mark is chill and jackson is the nicest guy so it’s not awkward at all

the project goes well at the beginning

but then it’s actually mark that notices it first

all the scabs on jackson’s elbows that look way too similar to his own

then of course he casually checks out jackson’s knees and they’re scabbed up as well

at first mark is stunned 

because ‘omg is this hot guy my soulmate?”

but then he’s horrified 

because ‘omg have i been hurting him this entire time and potentially jeopardizing his fencing career?!’

meanwhile, jackson is still intently focused on the project 

so mark casually asks about the scars 

and jackson’s a bit confused but says that they sometimes appear out of nowhere but that it’s no big deal

then he causally mentions that they’re not nearly as bad as all the bruises he gets from fencing

which makes mark freeze and then slowly ask if they’re like small black and blue marks all over his chest

then jackson freezes because how did mark just know that

then mark suddenly lifts up his shirt without any warning 

and jackson is freaking out 

because why is mark lifting his shirt? 

and why does his like looking at his chest so much? 

and wHY DOES HE HAVE BLACK AND BLUE MARKS TOO?!

so then the realization hits jackson as well and there’s kinda a moment of silence between the two

because it’s not every day that you meet your soulmate

mark’s awkwardly putting his shirt back on when jackson smiles shyly at him

which is totally ooc?

and then asks if mark thinks they’re souldmates too

mark presses his nail onto his own arm and jackson looks down to find a tiny crescent imprint on his own arm

so mark just smiles and says yes

and the two just sit there and smile for a bit before agreeing that they should probably get pizza and talk about stuff

only after the project is finished, of course

and so they go on a date

and then another

and another

and mark goes to as many of jackson’s fencing tournaments as possible

and jackson studies with mark for university entrance exams as much as possible

and even though they both have a lot of marks and scars 

at the end of the day there’s nobody they’d rather have as a soulmate

than each other

Oh man, Mark would be the best roommate

this boy would be so chill

and he’d be really good at following rules

he might be a bit messy at times 

like sometimes he would just leave his dishes in the sink because he’d be too lazy to clean them and his room is probably a mess

but all you would have to do is ask and he’d probably apologize and clean whatever he messed up

during finals time? he’s gonna be either super quiet in the apartment or off studying somewhere else

after finals? he’s the first to suggest throwing a rager in the apartment

if you ever have a long day and want to rant, if he’s in the living room he’ll always be down to talk

he invites like 5 people and 50 show up 

because wow he actually has a ton of friends?

speaking of friends, if mark tuan is your roommate, jackson wang is your roommate by proxy cause he’s gonna be over quite a bit

they’ll be fun and definitely a good time

but they’re also super respectful if you need silence in the apartment or if you have a group project coming over or something

mark also doesn’t really like to cook all that much

so he’ll stock the freezer with microwavable stuff and ramen in the pantry

if you cook, he’d probably pay you to buy twice the groceries and just make him an extra serving

overall mark just being a pretty cool rooomate that doesn’t annoy you or force you to listen to him rant for hours

and how he’ll run his hand through his hair when he’s frustrated with school work

and you just can’t stop thinking of him in a romantic light

and it kind of hurts because you want to go back to just being friends 

because what if he doesn’t like you in a romantic way back?

what if he rejects you and it’s too awkward to even be friends anymore?

meanwhile, mark is admiring your every move

and has been madly in love with you for the past year

but knows you don’t feel the same

so he’s content with just being friends

but the day comes where you ask him out for lunch at your favorite joint and you sit him down and take a deep breath and just say

“i like you as more than a friend and I really want to go out with you but if you don’t feel the same way can we please still be friends?”

and mark just laughs because he’s been feeling the same way for years 

eventually he says he’s been dying to ask you out

you’re both so elated and you just laugh and hug each other

nothing really changes in terms of the relationship

you go out on more proper dates and you kiss and do a bit more

but overall, the strong bond you had as friends remains just as strong

and ultimately, there’s nobody you’d rather date than your best friend

OH OR READ X MARK ROCK BAND AU?

What about like mark and guitarist au?            

mark being the lead guitarist in a band you make in high school

it’s a small bad, just four friends in your garage

your best friend is on the drums and mark’s best friend is on bass

so you end up being the singer and sometimes do either keyboards or rhythm guitar

it’s start out innocently enough

you play every other day after school, doing covers of other groups

sometimes you’ll go to a midnight venue where they have amateur nights

and people begin to know your band because even though none of you are amazing musicians, together you sound fantastic

eventually you and mark begin to write songs together your junior year

that’s also when you begin to date

yea, he asked you out with a song he wrote himself on the guitar

it was kinda cringey but also kinda cute

so songs ensue and you begin to get more gigs around town

now you’re actually getting paid a few bucks to play at smaller venues

people actually want to buy tickets to see you?

which baffles all of you because? really?

eventually the covers stop and you just play original music

mark never lets the fame get to his head

even as he begins to have more and more fans scream his name

because he still insists he loves you the most and no amount of groupies or fans would ever change that

so your band continues to garner fame and eventually you get approached by a record label

you all agree to sign with them (you were in it for the long run to begin with) and after spending days reading through contracts, you say yes

then your friend says yes

then mark’s friend says yes

and why isn’t mark saying yes?

you confront him and realize that he’s on the fence about spending the rest of his life with the musician lifestyle

you comfort him and make sure he knows that he has exactly what it takes to succeed

but you also don’t want to force him to do anything he doesn’t want to do

so you tell him that it’s his decision and that you’ll always love and support him, but that you ultimately want him to be happy with whatever he chooses

so a day before the deadline, mark calls you and says that yea he wants to be a famous rockstar

so you agree to be his rock and he agrees to be yours as you go with him to sign with the record label

and you start your lives together as musicians
