Meet Chealsie (he/it/none), an angel who was laid off of his current position as a dominion, now an angel sent down to earth to protect a guy named Mark.

Chealsie is an inquisitive fellow who is motivated by the task it was given of protecting Mark, as well as understanding the world he for so long helped to function.

He has a very large fear of birds (as avians are typically the forms the higher-powered angelic creatures, thrones-seraphs, took), and his "holy book" is the "Midwest Encyclopedia of Birds" which it can recite word for word.

Inside of its bag, he keeps his "holy book", "holy water" (a can of cola), snacks, and a "holy object" (an item that a protected provides a protector so that they can always know where they are), which in this case is a ball of lint from one of Mark's loads of laundry.

Chealsie cares much for Mark and does everything in its power to protect them, but Mark usually is the one who ends up doing the protecting. He finds Kevinn strange but enjoyable to observe and interact with, as well as finding Nik (Kevinn's protected) a strange fellow but will take any gift he provides out of kindness. Chealsie's relationship with ??? is poor at best.

Meet Nikolas (xe/they), a bartender for a decently well-known nightclub, psychiatry student, and Kevinn's protected (although neither of them think of each other like that).

Already outgoing, Kevinn's entrance into xer life gave them an increased want to cause chaos. Xe thought that Kevinn was just a weird hallucination, but it turns out that he wasn't, and that he was here to stay. Nik finds the stuff they can get up together entertaining.

Xe enjoy mixing random stuff into drinks which then they use to test Kevinn's knowledge of mixology, reading, and forming outfits based on whatever aesthetic they decide is right for xem that day.

Xer prized possession is their clay figurines of off-branded animated characters. They did not provide a "holy object" for Kevinn, and he doesn't really care.

Xe like to tease Chealsie about its lack of knowledge concerning how the world works, but deep down likes the guy. They like hanging out with Mark, xer friend/sorta partner/former coworker, and gave them the sweater he so dearly cares about. Nik, like Kevinn, wants to enjoy whatever stupid pleasures the world can offer, and is glad xe can share them with the stupid angel sitting next to them. Xe don't know of ???, but is wary of his effect on xer friends.

Meet Kevinn (he/him), a fellow dominion-turned-angel, although his layoff happened 5 years before Chealsie's. He was sent to earth to protect a girl named Nikolas (Nik).

Due to having more experience in "earth affairs", Kevinn doesn't stress or need explanations about items/activities. Either he knows or he just doesn't care. When first laid off and sent to earth, he was not stressed about the change of environment, more excited about the chaos he could cause.

When not at helping out at Nik's bar, Kevinn is working at the local zoo, leading tours and taking care of the animals. He is particularly fond of the aviary.

Kevinn had a habit of stealing Nik's clothing, but after a well needed trip to goodwill, he only steals their clothes some of the time.

Kevinn thinks that Chealsie needs to loosen up a bit and that Mark needs to help it not just observe life but enjoy it too. He's given up on the idea of "protecting" Nik (xe doesn't need his protection), and now just wants to enjoy the pleasures of living with them. He used to know ???, not anymore.

Meet Mark (they/he), a grocery store bagger and a cat shelter volunteer on the weekends. Although they are technically the protected for Chealsie, he usually ends up protecting and helping it navigate the strange world that is the "United States Midwest".

Mark enjoys the antics that Chealsie gets into, and finds it fun to explain what an item/activity is when Chealsie doesn't know what it is. Although, he does get tired of explaining after a while.

Mark enjoys musical theater but cannot sing (and knows it), creating .wads for Doom, taking care of his dying garden, and indie horror videos, which they love showing Chealsie, much to his dismay and confusion.

Mark wears his green and black stripped sweater as much as they can, and may or may not have many sets of them incase one get dirty.

He cares for Chealsie as a person would care for a stray cat, and does like its company. They find Kevinn amusing to hang out with, and loves hanging out with his friend/sorta partner/former coworker Nik. He is ???'s Adam. Nothing less than perfection is what ??? provides them.

Chealsie (he/it/none) is a fallen forgotten angel, sent down to earth to protect Mark after Heaven had some budget cuts. Although confused by (and fearful of) what Mark calls "midwestern culture", it tries to understand as he hopes to someday return to Heaven.

Mark (they/he) is just a guy. They were just minding their own business when an incomprehensible horror appeared on his patio. They might as well just help him to its new life! Mark enjoys musical theatre and doom.wads.

so im gonna answer this for mark & chealsie bc Ive been working a lot on it the past few days :3

3.) any recurring images/elements?

yessss! besides the obvious catholic angelic motifs i have a lot of plant imagery going on (if everyone sticks around youll see why :D)

angel named chealsie gets laid off, goes down to earth in order to "protect" a guy named mark. chealsie learns about the world that he for so long tried to help function whilst also making friends with a fellow fallen angel and his "protectee". but good things cannot last forever.

21.) you have been given unlimited funds to make your story idea a reality. what are you sparing no expenses for?

okay so if i were to make this into an animated series (which I think would work best besides the comic form I have for them) I put all of my expenses on animation (gotta give the people who can make pictures fuckin move as much money as possible /pos). I have a very specific idea about how the angels move, and I really want that to translate if put into an animated format.

Who is your favourite, your absolute baby, when it comes to your original characters? And how did it start existing?

AUGGGG THIS IS HARD

so ive been really obsessed with a new addition to the cast of mark & chealsie (name pending rn but we're gonna call him Luci at the moment :3). his dynamic with mark and everyone else is so interesting to me and is something I love exploring. I also ship him with a character from another one of my ocverses (plant from cryptid containment centre). I'm definitely gonna be talking more about Luci in the near future (his place in the story and his aforementioned relationships with the others), but one of the reasons he was created is because you cannot have a story about angels without the opposition :3

but overall my favorite has to be file #1 (me) from in harms way: a suburbia story. he's just such a loser and he's experiencing the horrors tm. his existence is really just to put him thro the horrors of the suburbia, as I created the world before him. he's a silly

Cryptid Containment Centre A wolfman, a not-deer, a personification of the void, a plant monster and a seraph walk into a bar walled in suburbia. With no way of getting out, they'll have to figure out how to get along, shenanigans ensue

In Harms Way; A Suburbia Story I find myself trapped in a world almost familiar with creatures unlike anything I have seen. In this world, in this house, shenanigans ensue cw for paranoia and delusions
