Marius "Jäger" Streicher headcanons, I may or may not be completely in love with him...
Tumblr media
🥃 Jäger is a whisky drinker. It's his drink of choice, no ice needed. He still does drink beer but he'd rather have a glass of whisky than a bottle of beer. (His favourite whiskey is Yellowstone, yes it's absolutely self-indulgent)
🚗 He drives a shitbox. I'm talking like an old ass 80's Buick, or something similar. Though he's definitely partial to German cars (he's a patriot, what can I say), def has a Volkswagen or an Audi. He definitely knows which Audi models are the most reliable. (He drives a Volkswagen Scirocco Mk 2, it's his pride and joy, I don't make the rules)
🎶 Listens to mainly German rock/rock in general. Here's a playlist that I find accurate to my headcanon of his music taste: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/29N16n6eHU6P2hExqaa4xY?si=FFtI6gEKSqW9ZPF36OZINg
🪛 This is based off of canon, but he's 100% a workaholic. His work is his hobby. He literally mentions that spending his time off in the lab is like a dream vacation to him. He feels he needs to be productive all the time, he doesn't really like "relaxing" that much. His time to relax is when he's either learning something new or working.
🖌️ He is insanely good at drawing machinery. He doesn't consider himself to be an artist, but he is really really good at drawing anything mechanical. He draws cars and car engines for fun, he draws his own prototypes and inventions for his patents and blueprints. Expect him to have a notebook full of messy and clean drawings of cars, helicopters, random parts he just felt like drawing. He mainly draws to see things from a different perspective and to learn.
🌯 He doesn't cook for himself often, but when he does it's absolutely delicious. Jäger knows how to cook! He's a banger cook, too. He only has a solid few cookbooks at home that he uses, he always tries something different but it's always from those three books.

Hey hello! I wish you luck on your journey!!
Can I please get HC for Echo, Kapkan, Jäger and Vigil x Fem!Reader [Indicidually] who recently joined their team and is just super badass? Like they just admire her while she is on a mission and kicks ass?
Feel free to ignore this! But tysm if you choose to write it.
I also reccommend tuening on anonymous asks in settings. That way more people would be comfortable requesting :))
YES OFC TYSM i love this idea sm, i tried my best but lmk if theres any constructive criticism!! ALSO YES TY I TURNED ON ANONYMOUS ASKS NOW
echo
・masaru had heard his fellow operators talking about you in the morning, but just shrugged it off and assumed that you were nothing special
・he first sees you as he got into the coach/bus for you guys and 3 others to be taken on a mission and he’s honestly surprised because you look pretty good for being the newest op in rainbow, but ofc he does wanna say anything about it😭
・once the mission begins, he begins to focus on the task at hand and almost forgets about you, until he turns a corner to see you eliminating two enemies and he cant help but feel surprised..
・he stared for a bit.. yep.. definitely just a little tiny bit.. not for long at all..
・after snapping back to his senses when he sees you give him a puzzled look, he probably will give you some cold seeming, but still kind comment, something like “i guess youre not that bad for a rookie” or “uhhhdhjdhgh i wouldve done it better but still, not bad”
・you and masaru stick together for the rest of the mission, not saying much or conversing apart from callouts and intel
・he watches you closely, and tries to focus but he just cantttt
・your teammates are confused why hes being warmer to you than everyone else after the mission
・at the end of the day he waits until everyone is gone before quickly and bluntly asking you on a date
kapkan
・maxim isnt the kinda guy you’d expect to see fanboying over the newest operator, yet here he is :o
・he likes your badass demeanour, its different, it feels refreshing to him and he likes your style with it aswell ngl
・many bad attempts at him stealing glances at you both the full way there and during prep phase
・after setting up his traps and all he tries to find a spot to camp nearby you so that he can see and watch how good you actually are in the face of danger, while also looking out for enemies, of course
・your talent catches maxim off guard.. and he cant help but gawk slightly
・no one can see because of his hood and mask, but his mouth is so slightly ajar watching you in action
・hes not used to having crushes, or even having much interest in others at all! so this is different and he isnt sure how to feel or act towards you
・tries to show off subtly, which only his close comrades pick up on, no doubt he will be teased for that later by glaz and tachanka
・they especially start to pick up on his crush after the mission when maxim hesitantly approaches you and strikes up a conversation, which is fairly unlike him
jager
・marius is intimidated, to say the least
・cant keep his eyes off of you, and when your other teammates call on him you can hear the slight stutter in his voice
・he also keeps trying to find an opportunity to talk to you, he wants to ask about your gadget, as it strikes his curiosity, and just get to know you in general
・after getting a nasty kill he glances over to you to see if you noticed it, only to realise you were currently holding the upper hand in a 1v2
・he’s whipped for you without even realising, which his gsg9 mates pick up on, smirking to each other
・at the end of the final round of you guys’ training session, blitz comes up to you and recommends that you go speak to marius, explaining that hes a bit shy to go talk to you
・you strike a convo with him and boom, once he realises youre not actually that scary on the inside, all he does is talk to you and tell you about all the shows hes watched, what random fact he found out two days ago, what he had for breakfast, everything! and you just have to try your best to keep up
vigil
・chul-kyung takes a liking to you, but no one need to know that in his opinion
・honestly you kinda scare him a bit, but nothing in the world could ever get this information out of him, also he finds you hot tho, definitely
・he studies you very intently, tryna figure out what your whole thing is
・notices that you’re in a 1v3 and dashes to the enemies from behind, only to notice that youd killed them all by the time he had gotten there. this guy was gobsmacked, youd stolen his spotlight as the “cool edgy talented one”😭
・he keeps a close eye on you for the rest of the mission, and was pretty shocked to see you in action, he wasnt sure if he should stay in his position or join in your fight in order to help defend
・and its the same for vigil as it is as echo, where his teammates are very very surprised to see his usual cold persona shift to a softer one for you
・over time you two work together more, and are by far one of the most badass and scary duos at rainbow
・sometimes he just sits back and lets you handle some very intense scenarios, which worries you guys’ teammates, but he knows you can handle it
·yall are feared

“Meet the Crew”
No pairings, fluff, 700+ words
Thunderbird is new to the team and eager to make friends, Rainbow’s main pilot seems to be a good place to start
Mina headed out to go look over her helo. It was only a few days into her second week at Hereford, and she didn’t quite know everyone. It was also only six in the morning, so no one was likely awake to hang out or spar. At least she knew that Sanaa would not be, she wasn’t a morning person. That all said, the last thing Mina expected when she walked into the hanger was for the lights to be on and someone playing music.
She was pretty sure the music was German and the song sounded like it was saying something about an “Aüslander” whatever that was. She was a fan of rock music so she didn’t mind, but she did wonder who was up this early listening to something energetic.
“Hello?” She called out. There was no response.
“Hello, is someone in here?” She called again louder. This time the music turned down and then off. On the far side of the hanger, where the music had been coming from, she heard a voice.
“Hallo? Mina Sky?”
She walked over and saw a blond man sitting on the floor working on some machine part with a radio next to him. He had twisted around to slightly face her and was smiling brightly.
“Yeah, uh, how did you know it was me?” She returned the smile.
“Oh, I’m just weird like that,” he smiled even bigger for a moment.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know if we’ve officially met.”
“Marius Striecher.” He stood but didn’t offer his hand for her to shake. Without missing a beat he continued. “Sorry, I don’t really shake hands.”
“That’s alright. You’re very chipper for the early hour.”
“Early?” Marius looked confused. He checked his watch and looked sheepish.
“Oops,” He turned to clean up his workspace. “I promised Dom I wouldn’t stay up all night. S’alright though.” Marius looked over his shoulder and smiled.
Mina smiled back and looked over his shoulder to see what he had been doing.
“What was that song you were listening to?”
“Oh that was Rammsien- that’s the band actually. The song is Aüslander. It means outsider.”
“Outsider?”
“Yeah, it’s not really that deep. It’s kinda about a guy who sleeps around I think…least that’s what Dom said. It just kinda makes my brain calm when I listen to loud music. Do you feel like an outsider?”
“What?”
“You’re new to the team. Some people take some time to feel at home.”
“I don’t think so because I know Sanaa, and Tina and Sebastian are nice.”
“Oh yeah they are.” He looked down and murmured something. “I have to send that documentary about Dahmer to ‘Bastion” then he looked up again. “I saw you were a pilot, I mean I read your file- the declassified bit that is- and I like your chopper.”
“So you’re the other pilot?”
“Yep,” Marius nodded proudly. “Well the main one.”
“Do you want a tour?” She gestured to her helo. Marius nodded emphatically.
Half an hour later the tour was done and Marius was yawning. Mina had learned a few things about the other pilot in that time. For one he was very sweet and very intelligent and a bit straightforward. He bid her a good night, or good day? and wandered out of the hanger.
She stood in the hanger smiling to herself. What an odd fellow this Marius Stretcher was. A voice interrupted her thoughts.
“What’s got you smiling so early?”
Mina opened her eyes to see a bearded man leaning on the door frame smoking a cigarette. He raised his eyebrows at her.
“The other pilot is a character.”
“I see you met Marius then,” the man chucked. “He didn’t talk your ears off I hope.”
“Not in the slightest. I don’t think we’ve met.”
“Nein, I just got back late last night.” He put his cigarette out, walked over and stuck his hand out. “Dominic Brunsmeir, resident troublemaker, and don’t tell Gustave I was smoking.”
“Mina Sky,” she shook his hand. “Hiding bad habits from Dr. Kateb?”
“Always, but he’ll figure it out on his own soon enough,” Dominic smiled.
Mina knew she’d fit in with this bunch of misfits quite well.

✏️ Translation: Schwiegermonster = monster-in-law (lol my new favorite word in German apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️)
Tumblr media
LONG DAY
Marius had called off his night with the boys when Y/N had come home from work, shoulders curved under the weight of the shitty day she had had and a long sigh passing past her lips. He had been on the phone with one of them — Dominic, most likely — and she had barely picked up his words as she had been left with energies enough only to focus on one task at a time.
“Love?”
Her hand missed the hall stand and her coat fell to the floor with a soft thud, and had it been a different day, she probably would have cared. But not tonight.
He reached her in the hallway just as she was taking off her shoes, but it was the scratching of the dog’s nails on the floor as she most likely scrambled down the couch to hurry behind her favorite human that drew a smile upon her face.
“Long day?” he asked, taking a step closer so that he could tilt her chin up.
She knew he could read the exhaustion in her eyes and while she usually hid it well — or could generally handle it better —, she had been left too drained to even try and attempt to put on a mask. “You could say that,” she chuckled instead. Tired as she was, she couldn’t stop her head from leaning into the hand he had moved onto her cheek and she looked up at him.
“Do you want to vent?”
He took another step closer and before she could pick up with him, he had his arms wrapped around her waist as his head tilted down to rest on the crown of hers. Words failed her as she found herself trying to sigh the exhaustion off of her and after a while, when the dog sniffed her leg and pressed her nose against her pants, she shook her head no.
“Are you leaving at the same time as usual?” she asked softly, lips moving against the soft cotton of his shirt.
She had missed having him home; coming back from work and finding him tinkering with stuff in the garage or chilling on the couch or even trying his best in the kitchen was a million times better than meeting him behind a screen, with miles and miles separating her from the location of his current mission. And while she didn’t mind him taking time for himself to meet up with his buddies, she wasn’t exactly in the mood to be left alone tonight.
The way he said that nah made her smile and exhale loudly from her nose, but right then, he pulled back to look down at her. “I told them I’m not going. You look like you need me more than they do tonight anyway.” When she frowned, he cupped her face and gently shook it from side to side a couple of times as he smiled. “Let me be the caring husband for once,” he chuckled, pecked her lips, and finally pulled back completely.
Maja jumped up on her and her weight suddenly dropping against her tore a ugh! from Y/N’s lips.
“Yes, I missed you, too,” she cooed, hand scratching underneath the dog’s chin.
Maja had always been a great helping hand when it came to relaxing. She greeted you with her one-year-old-puppy energy, but then it was almost as though she were a sponge for anything you wanted to kick out of your system. A look at her, a boop of her wet nose against her, the happy wagging of her tail, and suddenly the world felt lighter and the room she was in turned brighter and more spacious. Most likely just an illusion, but certainly one she always welcomed with open arms, whether her man was at home as well or away for work.
“Do you want me to cook you something? I thought it’d be your usual pizza night but…”
“No, I just need to unwind.” Eyes still on the dog, she scratched behind her ears before allowing her back down on the floor. “I just want to soak in the tub until someone comes and tells me I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.”
Marius’ deep chuckle made her smile and when Maja scurried away to go curl up among her toys once again, he put an arm around her shoulders and pulled her into his side as he accompanied her to the stairs. “You’re the owner, no one can stop you,” he whispered in her ear before picking her up and walking up the stairs.
She laughed for a moment at that, before she pressed closer to him and left a kiss on his cheek. “You know, I’m tired but I can still walk.”
His Let me pamper you for once, woman! was repeated a second time when he put her with her feet back down on the tiled floor of the bathroom and turned on the faucet of the tub. “I know how to do this,” he half-smiled as he poured body wash into the tub and then turned to look at her.
Then, when he straightened up, he turned towards her and all he needed to communicate was a look. She stretched one hand out for him to grab while her other one came up to remove the hairpin that had kept her hair away from her face for the whole day. A throbbing headache had started spreading right in that area and she felt the skin of her scalp was tense and sore.
Marius’ fingers were deft on the buttons of her blouse and then on that of her pants. He worked on her clothes in silence but then, when his gaze settled on hers as his hands slid underneath the cotton of her blouse and then down her shoulders, pushing the garment down with the movement, the smile he sent her way almost felt like a breath of fresh air.
He undressed her and when he took her hand in his to help her get into the bubble-filled bathtub, she let him do.
“Thank you,” she hummed.
Her eyes closed of their own accord, eyelids suddenly heavy and muscles ready to relax in the warm embrace of the water. She didn’t remember the last time she took a bath — surely months before, most likely to help Marius wind down after a fight or a long mission, she couldn’t be sure — and although she preferred to stick to her much quicker routine in the shower, she found herself basking in the feeling of extreme relaxation this moment brought along.
But then she startled with a gasp when her husband spoke from behind her as he knelt down to pull her hair out of the way of the water. “So, how did this morning go?” he asked.
She had imagined he had left the room when silence had fallen, but part of her was glad and almost even relieved that he had stayed.
Her answer was a groan as her eyes fell shut once again. She had told him about the ‘bad thing’ she had done and he had joked for a moment to try and lift her spirits at the prospect that lay ahead. And while that whispered Schwiegermonster of his had made her chuckle the day before on the phone, she had found herself being annoyed at that unexpected change in routines.
“What do you think?” she huffed, a second before his fingers on her scalp tore a soft moan of relief from deep down her throat.
“I could take care of the problem for you,” he proposed, lips grazing against her temple as the comb he had in one hand started combing through her hair. “Give me one morning with her.”
“Yeah, sure,” she laughed, opening her eyes and tilting her head back a bit so that she could stare into his eyes. They were almost twinkling under the lights of the bathroom, and the grin he had on his face made her lazily shake her head from side to side before she let him go back to combing through her hair. “She’d be able to get in touch with your superiors and have you called back to England in a heartbeat.”
He hummed in response. “She’s free to try.”
Silence filled the room again. She allowed herself to enjoy the gentle scalp massage he was giving her, the comb now forgotten on the floor after he had brushed the rare knots out of her hair. It was warm and cozy and the more he worked on her, the more her headache faded and her body seemed to relax.
At some point, outside the closed door of the bathroom, she heard Maja frisking down the corridor, ready to fall asleep in her bed right at the end of it.
“If I were to take my mother to work and come straight back home tomorrow,” she started, voice slow and low, her mind closer to being asleep than it was to being awake, “would you spend the day in bed with me? I feel like I need to sleep for half an eternity.” Her words stumbled one upon the other as she spoke, but she didn’t care, for he seemed to understand her just fine.
“Of course,” he hummed, his lips brushing against her temple once again, her right one this time, and his hands trailed down her arms until he had her hands in his. “Just directly call her a taxi and stay home.”
His words were tempting and when his fingers tickled her lower belly, she found herself giggling with her eyes closed, the back of her head resting against his shoulder. Before long, she mumbled out a fuck it and turned her head to the side to press a kiss to his lips.
“I might as well do just that,” she grumbled before she sat up when he moved around to grab her sponge.

Part three of Jäger x male reader.
Mature language
Requested by @justagenderfluidstuff
Once they had made it y/n house, Marius pulled over by the curb. “Thank you” y/n spoke softly as he opened the door and stepped out the car. He was gonna shut the door and step back onto the footpath. But he had changed his mind, sighing he leaned into the car, biting his bottom lip. “Um…” Marius looked him. “Would you like to have a coffee?” Y/n asked, looking at Marius, his hands were becoming sweaty, and his legs shook slightly, we was nervous. “I know it’s late, but I don’t wanna call it a night with you just yet” He was speaking softly, it was almost like a mumble. Marius killed the engine, pulling the keys out of the ignition and stepping out of his car closing the door behind him. “I’d love that actually” he smiles and walks to the other side of the car to beside y/n. Y/n was surprised that Marius had agreed, he closed the car door and smiled back at Marius, wiping his hands on his jeans to wipe off the sweat. “Okay. I’ll go boil the kettle” y/n trouts to the front door of house, unlocking the door, and heading inside and straight to the kitchen, as Marius locks his car and follows y/n inside.
Y/n fills the kettle up by the sink and looks over his shoulder. “Make yourself at him” he motioned at the couch in front of the tv, he had an open planed styled house, with a loft just up the stairs. Well at least with a quick glance this is what Marius could see. It was a small but spacious house, and very cluttered by plants or just decor items. But it was homey and still nice not too much. Marius sits down on the couch, and observed y/n, watching the male place the kettle down on the connection, and flicking the switch down which made the kettle to start the boiling process. Marius watched every move, as y/n moved gracefully around the kitchen, going from the cabinet above the counters to pull out two coffee mugs, and placing them on the counter top. To swiftly moving to the drawer and grabbing the small spoon, and moving back to the mugs by the kettle, opening up a jar placing the spoon inside and pulling it back out with a mound of what was obviously the sugar, pouring the sugar in the mug then repeating that action just a few more times. Y/n didn’t need to ask Marius if he needed sugar or how many sugars he needed, as he has always watched Marius at the coffee shop, and observed how many sugar packets he’d rip open to put in his coffee. Marius was now doing the observation, watching y/n now put the coffee in the mugs to join the sugar. By the time that was done, the kettle flicked off as it was finally done with the boiling. Y/n grabbed the kettle by the handle and poured the water into the mugs, stirring as he done so to devolve the sugar and instant grounded coffee. He puts the kettle down and get the milk out of the fridge, opening it up and taking a small sniff of the milk, before adding it to the coffee. He puts the milk back into fridge, then picks up both mugs handing one to Marius before setting his down on the coffee table in front of the couch. He then parks his bum next to Marius. “Thank you” Marius smiles, takes a sip of his coffee and places it down on the coffee table. “Why, did you smell the milk?” Marius asked as he was genuinely curious. “Oh, that.” Y/n paused. “That’s a habit, I’ve always done it since I could remember, it’s so I could tell if the milk was still good or not.” He picks up his mug and takes a few sips before putting it back down. “Oh.. I noticed you done it a few times at the café” Marius noted. “Only a few times, I don’t need to smell the milk every time” y/n chuckles. Marius had given no reaction or emotion to the response.
The two would go on talking, having long conversations, it didn’t matter what they were talking about, occasionally Marius would change some of the subjects without even noticing he had done so, and y/n had never minded about it even if the subject they were on were never finished, or was still going on. He was never bothered by when Marius was unsure in some moments, if y/n said a joke and Marius didn’t laugh, there was no offence taken by it. Y/n was aware this was normal for Marius, especially after observing Marius for a long while. He had noticed he that Marius at times would struggle or didn’t understand the normal social cues.
As time went on, as it became the and the conversation went silent. And the birds were singing. Y/n opened his eyes. He looked around and realised he was on the couch and was cuddled up to Marius. Freaking out he rolled out onto the floor, or at least to but knocked into the coffee table on the way down, making a loud crashing sound as he had done so. This had jolted Marius awake. “Y/n!” He yelled but it was a tone of worrying. Y/n was rubbing the back of his head and had said ouch. Marius sat up and leaned down to y/n pulling him up face only inches away from each other. “I’m okay.” Y/n blinks. Stares into his eyes. He couldn’t control himself but to lean in closer, their lips connected as y/n had kissed Marius. This had took Marius was taken by surprise and pulled back away from y/n. “Oh..” y/n ducked his head down. “I’m sorry” he spoke softly, got up and hurried himself to the bathroom locking the door behind him.
Running the water at the sink he splashes his face and glared at himself in the mirror. “You’re a fucking idiot y/n” he spat at himself.
Marius was sitting the couch. Rubbing his arm, he was confused did he do something wrong, y/n was in the bathroom for a long time. He was wondering how long he was gonna be, he wanted to talk to him, did he have the same feelings, would that explain the sudden kiss.
Marius heard the door open and looked towards it, and stood up. “Y/n?” He asked “you okay?” He frowned. “Oh, you’re still here” y/n didn’t answer the question. “If I were you, I would have left” Marius was upset with y/n had said. “Oh… okay” he looks down at his feet. He turned around and headed to the door. “I wanted to talk but I guess you don’t want me here” his voice was cracked. He was about to grab the door handle. But felt a hand on in his other hand. “Wait.. sorry don’t leave” y/n spoken softly. “We can talk” Marius looked back at y/n. Y/n frowned wiped the tear away from Marius’ cheek. “No please don’t cry” he frowned. Marius sniffled, and wiped his eyes with the sleeve of his jumper. “I’m sorry” his voice was still a bit cracked. “No it’s not your fault, it’s mine” y/n said pulling away from Marius. “I made a fool of myself. I shouldn’t of done that. I understand if you don’t want anything with me and that you’re upset” he speaks to him, head in his hand. “You got it wrong y/n” Marius says, his voice no longer cracked, he sits next to y/n, and gently puts a hand on y/n knee. “I was surprised. I wasn’t expecting a kiss, especially from you” Marius told him looking at him. Y/n pulled his head up from his hands and looked at Marius. “What you mean by that?” He asked “Well I like you y/n, and I wasn’t expecting to be kissed by you all suddenly, even though I wanted it for a long time” He admitted. “You like me?” Y/n asked with a surprised expression. Marius nodded. “I like you as well” y/n smiles. Marius smiles back at y/n, it was his turn to kiss y/n.
Marius leans in close to y/n, y/n had met him half way. Their lips connect, as Marius kisses y/n, cracks a smile into the kiss as y/n kissed him back. Marius places his hand on y/n waist and pulls y/n closer to him. Y/n puts his hand on Marius’ chest.
Only a few moments later they pulled away from each other the both smiling. Marius gently places his forehead on y/n forehead, y/n wrapped his arms around Marius, they share an embrace.

how about a jäger/bandit scenario uwu
“Where the hell did it go?!“Jager exasperatedly exclaimed, rummaging through his bag again and again. His ACOG wasn’t with his other scopes in the bag he always treasured them in with care.It was incredibly frustrating for an organized person such as himself.“Marius, just give it up and accept the fact that you’ve lost it.” Bandit said after hours of searching for the precious sight.“Give up? I need that sight! I’m going in a place where I’ve never been and has plenty of open fields! I can’t afford to overlook any potential foes!“Bandit grinned, seeing Jäger so worked up like this was just the most hilarious thing, but the prank could end there. He didn’t want to ruin his work, so he went back in his quarters with the intention of giving Jäger back his precious scope. However, when he checks where he thought he hid it, he realized the scope wasn’t where he remembered. He rapidly started to check every corner of the room, pull out every drawer he could find, but he still couldn’t find any traces of the damn scope. He cursed under his breath and went back to Jäger, uncomfortable as hell.“I…I lost it, okay? It was supposed to be a harmless prank, but it ended up horribly I guess…““You did what?! Do you even have any idea of how much that thing costs?!” Jäger is looking at him with fury in his eyes. “Tell me you’re just joking, Dominic. I won’t get mad-.“Even if Bandit had really wanted to say that yes, it was just a joke and here’s your scope back, he had to shrug and shake his head with a sigh.Jäger throws his hands up in anguish.“I’m lending you mine for now. At least until I find yours. And, well, until you finish the mission… that OK for you?”He asked even if he really hoped Jäger would reject his offer. That scope was a valuable piece of technology for their work, above all else.“…Fine, thank you, you lost it, so you should at least give some compensation, after all.” Jäger replied, his grimace turning into a cocky smirk. Bandit grunted and gave him the little bag with the object of their dispute inside.“Take good care of it or your losing yours will be the last of your problems.” Bandit told the German pilot while Jäger accepted his “offer” with a grin.“I will, Ja. Won’t be away for too long either, so relax and let me do my job without giving me more things to think of, thank you.”“You’re welcome.“ Bandit sighed, rolling his eyes.___Jäger was really hoping that the other wouldn’t pick up, not because he was scared or anything, it was… more of a pride thing, really. He did make a big scene because of that loss afterall…“Hey, don’t you know that here is like three in the morning? What do you want?“ Bandit’s tired voice answers the phone after a few rings, much to Jäger’s consternation.“Uh, sorry.” Jäger pauses for a moment. “Remember how you told me to take good car-“The other man is fast to interrupt him. “…You didn’t. What did you do to it, Streicher?“ His voice suddenly waking up in a deep and firm tone. Jäger winces at the rage bellowing below the surface of his voice.“Well… I really didn’t do anything, it just…disappeared from the bag…”“You’re joking right? Is this your way of getting revenge for every time I put salt in your milk or took out your bed’s supports…!?““…I kinda wish that was the case, but no, it really disappeared.““Well, what happened!? Did it grow legs and run away!?““I don’t know!” Jäger pinched the bridge of his nose. “It’s late, we’ll talk about it tomorrow, goodnight-”“Wait, Streicher-”Jäger just sighed, not seeing how a sight would grow legs, but then realized that it was just another of Bandit’s stupid jokes. He really should learn to understand humor, but that was hardly the worst problem Jager was facing in that moment.“Pray you find it, Streicher.“Dominic shut his phone down, throwing it onto the nearby table. Fuming, he turned on his side to try and get some shuteye. In just three hours, he had to get up and go to work, and he was already stressed enough from the news Jäger just woke him up with.So that’s the true story of why they both lost their ACOGs.(I want to thank @sinusoidal-helios for checking and correcting any errors, since my English is a little off! Hope you like it!)

“I wish I was back in Hereford right now.”
The engineer’s voice became quaint while he rested his head on whatever pieces of rubble were available. His hand returned to the laceration on his side in order to keep the bleeding at bay. There was more blood than before from what he felt moments prior. The scuffle with the roach must’ve worsened it. Not good. “There’s still that documentary I need to watch… What was it about?” Talking to himself could’ve been considered insane had it not been an effective way of keeping him calm and alert. He needed to stay awake lest he drown in his own thoughts and never see the light of another day.
“The ocean. It was about the ocean.”

How the flowers bloom
Pairing: Marius "Jäger" Streicher x GN!reader
Summary: This is part 1 of my smitten!Jäger x oblivious!reader. Reader has a mental breakdown and Jäger helps you feel better.
Warning: Slight warning, reader has a big breakdown questioning their life. Apart from that it's all fluff. This series is a slow burn (somewhat lol).
Words: 2.3k
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
This not proofread! Criticism is welcome and encouraged. I also do take requests for this fic :)
Tumblr media
Today feels dull. Work takes longer than usual, your coworkers' voices grate your nerves more than usual. You have less patience for the customers yelling at you, less tolerance when your boss yells at you for the nth time to do something you haven't had the time for yet. After all, she gave you a never ending list of tasks to do, from mundane to tedious. You were getting to it.
Now, your boss asks you to be at the cash register, whilst also berating you for not going through the to-do list she gave you fast enough. The vase is filling up, one drop at a time. Now, you’re standing at the cash register trying to keep it together. It's excruciating, smiling at the customers like the stress of your job isn't starting to weigh on you.
Your vision starts to get blurry as you speak to the customer. It's been five years and you're still just an assistant in the bakery. You wanted to start your own business. Now here you are, acting as some sous-chef for an ungrateful baker, not a step closer to having your own bakery. What am I doing with my life? The thought rings loudly in your head, as a drop of water falls on the receipt you were gonna hand the woman.
You look down at it for a second, as more droplets fall on the receipt. The vase has overflown, and you're crying. The realization hits you as you wipe the tears off your cheeks and smile at the woman awkwardly.
"I'm so sorry." You chuckle in hopes of making the awkwardness of the situation go away. The lady surprisingly doesn't seem to take it badly. Instead, she looks almost.. concerned. "It's okay love. Everyone needs time off every once in a while." Her british accent is thick, yet it really seems like she cares. You nod in agreement and print out another receipt for her before handing it to her and heading to the break room.
You swallow the lump in your throat, mentally preparing to talk to your boss. You've decided, you're going home. You finally spot your boss, and she stares you down. Her gaze is piercing, like she's reading your every move.
"What the fuck are you doing back here? You're supposed to be out front." Her arms are crossed over her chest. An uncomfortable silence settles as you get the courage to speak up. "I'm heading home. I'm taking time off for the rest of the day." Your boss's face hardens, though she notices your teary eyes and she sighs. "Fine, take the rest of the day off. I don't need you today anyway." She doesn't seem genuine as she storms out of the break room, going to take care of the customers waiting for their order.
You pack your stuff up, almost relieved to be going home. Though the stress of losing your job seems to hit you as you put on your shoes to leave. It's a good paying job after all, right? The only downside is it's not exactly what you want to do for the rest of your life, but it's better than nothing you suppose. You sigh as you step out of the break room, the tears won't stop flowing. It's a never ending stream as you sniffle quietly, trying to bring the least amount of attention to yourself.
You glance at the line as you leave the bakery. It's the lunch rush, the line goes out the door. As you go to open the door to leave, you make eye contact with a customer. A smile appears on the man's face. You know him. He excuses himself from the front of the line and walks quickly towards you, before trapping you in a tight hug.
"Marius, wha- why are you here?" Your tone is laced with laughter as his hug lengthens. He doesn't answer for a few seconds, choosing to hold you in his arms a bit longer. He finally pulls back, putting his hands on each side of your arms. He's ecstatic to see you and it shows. "My op ended early, things got done a lot quicker than we expected." His smile falters a little when he sees your puffy eyes and red cheeks.
"Herzblatt, what happened? Are you crying?" The worry in his tone is obvious. He leans forward, as though to get a better look at your face to make sure you aren't injured. He backs off quickly, his cheeks now tinted red. What was he even trying to do? Confusion takes over as you're not quite sure why he reacted like that. He quickly reaches for a tissue in his pocket to hand you. "I'm okay Marius." You try to reassure him, chuckling to ease some of his worry.
He completely disregards your comment about being okay. "Did someone hurt you?" Instead of handing you the tissue, he goes to wipe off the tears off your cheeks himself. However, he stops himself and awkwardly looks away before handing you the tissue. You take the tissue from his hand, wiping your tears away. "Thanks." You take a deep breath. "No one did this, I'm just.. stressed." You feel a bit bad, complaining about your stressful job to a man who defends people's lives for a living.
"You were heading home, right? Why don't I make you dinner?" Marius proposes confidently. He seems almost too excited to be at your house again. He's fiddling with his belt loop on his pants, you notice he looks almost.. nervous. Granted, he's been like that around you for a bit, you just kind of assume it's how he is. "I couldn't ask that of you, I'd feel bad taking up your time like that." You really just feel like you're taking up space. Not that you don't want to spend time with him, you just don't want to feel like you're bothering him.
His confidence falters ever so slightly. He feels a bit rejected, almost like you're making an excuse to let him down easy. "Well, I don't have anything else to do and uhm, I missed you so..." He looks away awkwardly for a second, before looking back at you and smiling confidently once again. His cheeks seem a bit more flushed than usual. "Okay, yeah, if you're really okay with it, it'd be really nice." You feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. It's nice to have a friend who cares.
"I missed you too, by the way. Let's go." You sniffle as you wipe the last of your tears. His heart flutters at your words. Marius puts his hand out for you to take, but you don't notice as you've already started to walk. He quickly follows you, walking side by side with you.
The walk back to your house is... animated to say the least. Marius has a lot of energy, and a lot to talk about. The entire time you have your hands tucked away in your pockets, to Marius' great disappointment. He's talking your ear off about stuff he's recently watched and read, and he never seems to run out of talking material. His laugh is contagious, and you find yourself forgetting about all the stressful things that happened today.
You finally get back to your house and open the door for him. You take off your shoes and lock the door behind you both. He takes off his shoes and heads to the kitchen, going over to your fridge and opening it with you hot on his trail. You sneak behind him, peeking above his shoulder to see what he's looking at. "What do you want me to make for you, Schatzi?" His tone wavers a bit due to your proximity. He starts to pick stuff up from the fridge and puts it back in an effort to distract himself from you.
"Pasta would be nice." You mumbled, your hand coming to rest on his side to stabilize yourself as you look at what you have in your fridge with him. He freezes, the thoughts in his brain becoming a bit scrambled. "I uhm, I suppose I could." His tone was a bit hesitant as he looked back at you, not realizing just how close you were to him. He looked away immediately, taking a few things out of the fridge and walking away from you and towards the counter.
Marius gets to work. He seems to know what to make with what you have. He's expertly navigating your kitchen, he knows exactly where everything is. You get out of his way, resorting to watching him cook. You're leaning on the counter, looking at his every move, not saying a word. Then, he drops a glass and freezes. He's never done that before. Especially not around you.
"Scheiße." He mumbles under his breath. He's avoiding your gaze, he seems embarrassed. "It's okay, I got it." You stand up straight and head over to the mess he made to clean it up. His palms are sweaty as he tries to help you clean the mess, though he seems to keep dropping everything. You clean up the raw egg that fell on the floor, but accidentally cut yourself on the glass. "Tsk, shit." Marius immediately grabs your hand to look at the cut. He inspects your cut and helps you up.
"Let's get this cleaned up, Liebling." He leads you to the washroom but you stop him. You never understand the names he gives you, you never bother to ask since they seem innocent enough. "I'm okay, Marius. I just need to rinse it." You smile reassuringly at him, and he seems to relax, his grip on your hand loosening. He doubles down regardless. "No, I don't want any glass in your cut." He pulls you towards him and into the washroom.
He drags you over to the sink, and cleans your wound for you. His hands are sweaty and you can feel it. He's nervous, but it's nothing out of the ordinary so you don't question it. You lean towards him to see what he was doing better. He's cleaning it up, putting your hand under warm water, rinsing your cut to make sure there's no glass. He puts some polysporin on it and covers it with a bandaid, making sure it's nice and snug. He finally looks up to see you. "There, it's all-" He stops talking abruptly as his eyes meet yours.
You're confused as to why he stopped talking. His face is very close to yours, but it's not bothering you, you're usually this close to him. He clears his throat and looks away. "Uhm, yeah, it's cleaned and you're good to go." He smiles awkwardly, and leaves to go back to the kitchen to finish making you food. You can't deny his help is making all your stress vanish.
You walk back into the kitchen, and smile when you notice he cleaned up the glass. "Marius." You call out to him as he turns on the stove to make the sauce. "Ja?" He doesn't turn to look at you. "Thank you for helping me with all of this." You sit at the counter realizing he'd put his sleeves up to his elbows now. "Any time, do you wanna talk about what's bothering you?" You contemplate it for a second before speaking. "I don't like my work." Marius is stunned for a second as he looks at you.
"I thought you loved baking?" He checked the sauce before leaning over the counter to pay more attention to you. "Well, yeah. I just-" You sigh, trying to find your words. "I want to have my own bakery, you know? I'm tired of being some- some sous chef to my boss." You clench your fists. "She treats me like shit, Marius. I've been there for five years and she's not any closer to letting me have a little bit of freedom when it comes to designing the menu."
Marius seems to think for a second. "Why don't you take out a loan? I'll help you find a good spot for your bakery, I can help with the renovation. You'll make that money back quickly." His positive nature is contagious. "You think I could do it?" You don't want to get into debt, it's worrying. "You have the experience and the passion. Besides, I can be your taste tester, ja?" He smiles, trying to lighten the mood. "But for now, focus on getting food and relaxing, Schatzi. I can set something up on the TV for us."
You nod, feeling relieved to have someone there for you. He focuses back on making you a good meal, occasionally spilling some things and bumping into dining chairs and counters as he navigates the kitchen. After a few minutes, he plates the food and presents it to you. Pomodoro pasta, and it looks mouthwatering. "Living room?" He asks as he holds both bowls in his hands, looking at you eagerly.
"Yeah." You hurry to your living room, sitting on the couch, and he puts the pasta bowls on the coffee table. Before you can grab the remote to turn on the TV, he snags it from you. He sits on the couch next to you and sets up a documentary on quantum computers. You lean back on the couch, leaning into him since he's so warm. He freezes but doesn't move. As you both watch and eat, you're hit with a strange sense of calmness.
You focus on the documentary, and though you don't understand everything, you don't mind. He loves explaining it to you anyway. You, however, never notice all the looks he gives you to make absolutely sure you like what you're watching. After all, he'd give you the world if you'd only just accept it.

Mechanic!Jäger AU where Jäger became a mechanic instead of being in the BPOL - He's such a wet dog for reader I swear to GOD. A little pathetic methinks.
Jäger x GN!Reader
Warnings: Maybe a little bit of obsessed!Jäger? Apart from that it's all SFW.
Jäger runs a humble little garage two blocks down from your apartment building. The garage is a little dingy, requiring maintenance. A few lights are flickering, there are boxes scattered around the place, some filled with trash and other scrap materials, some empty, and a couple of cars getting tended to. The garage has a distinct gasoline smell, a strong, pungent smell that seeps into your clothes ensuring that you walk out smelling like gas. The whole place is almost unwelcoming, the broken garage door windows replaced by planks of wood and a man roughly cleaning a spill nearby.
The employees are barely sparing you a glance as you stand next to your car awkwardly. You'd called in advance, you had to in order to make an appointment, and the garage had good reviews. Yet, even though you had written the date and time down and had read through the reviews anxiously, you still felt the pressure of the atmosphere of the garage weighing down on you.
However, as though it was your lucky day, an employee finally approaches you. He was the complete opposite of the rest of the employees, he seemed happy to see a new customer. The man introduced himself as Marius, the owner of the garage. He apologized for his employees not tending to you, before asking for your car keys. Marius is wearing a dirty, oil stained hoodie, with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows as well as jeans, with a few rips and more stains. His hands are stained black with oil, and some of it rubbed off on your keys and fingers when you hand them to him and accidentally touched his hand. He's wearing a balaclava, so the only thing you can see are his brown eyes. He assured you that he'll take care of it and you don't have to worry about it, and you left, anxious at the thought of getting scammed.
You came back the next day, ready for the potentially high bill that would come with the small issue your car had. But when Marius handed you the bill himself, it's cheap. Way cheaper than it should be. He explained he took some liberties, changing the oil and refilling your windshield fluid. He even gave you a discount and his business card. He looked proud of himself. Way too proud of himself. You paid and thank him quietly, taking your keys back which were slightly covered in oil. You feel relief from the whole situation, happy you might've found a mechanic for life. If only you knew how true that would be. After all, he wouldn't purposely sabotage your car so you need to see him again, right?

How the flowers bloom
Pairing: Marius "Jäger" Streicher x GN!reader
Summary: Marius picks you up to go to the museum with him.
Warnings: None! Pure fluff.
Words: 2.7k
Trying to keep reader as gender neutral as possible! Do lmk if I accidentally make reader seem as afab or amab, anatomy, looks or clothing style is never mentioned.
Again, not proofread, and criticism is always welcome!!
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
Tumblr media
You check your phone, looking at the museum tickets Marius had sent you. You had insisted you could pay for your own, but he fought you on it, so you let it be. You get a notification from him, which just says "on my way". This behaviour wasn't out of the norm for him, he had always liked to take care of you in a way.
You stretch and look at yourself in the mirror, making sure you look presentable. You straighten out your clothes and put on your shoes, making sure you have everything on you that you might need. For once you feel nervous, and you're not sure why. I mean, it's still the same Marius, your best friend of many years. Nothing's changed, right? You shake your thoughts away, in denial at this idea.
You pat your pockets, checking for your wallet, house keys and phone. Right on time, you hear his car pull up in your driveway. You exit your house, locking the door behind you, and walk towards his car. It's a nice, well maintained Volkswagen Scirocco Mk 2. His pride and joy. He reaches over the center console and passenger seat uncomfortably to lower the window. He looks silly bent over like that and a chuckle escapes you as the window lowers.
"Schatzi!" He admires you discreetly, and you don't notice at all. "You didn't have to lower the window like that." You teased. He looks away for a second before looking back at you with a dumb grin on his face. "Well, it was getting hot in the car so..." He shrugs. You open the passenger side door and sit in the seat, closing it behind you. It wasn't warm in the car at all. "Warm? Your car's at 20 degrees right now." You point out as you look at the center console.
"Warm to me, Liebe." He clears up. You don't really know if he's lying or not. You roll the window up. Though he's smiling a lot, he seems more nervous than usual. His fingers are tapping on the steering wheel, and he's looking around and checking his blind spots more often. He's an adept driver, that much you know, it's strange he seems so on edge right now.
He's humming to the tune on the car stereo, a tune in German you don't quite recognize. Though you listen to the beat and the tone of it, and it seems almost like a love song. Regardless, you pay no mind to it, and instead choose to bask in the music and enjoy the ride. It's not long before you find yourself in the parking lot of the museum, walking towards the main entrance.
"The new exhibit seems very interesting! It goes into more detail about the planets and stars farther away in our galaxy. I saw there were solar systems with multiple suns." He starts to ramble and his hand brushes yours. You hadn't realized how close you were walking to him. He stumbles in his words when he feels your skin against his, before quickly catching himself. "It uhm-uh- it's, you know, interesting how the uh gravity field must work."
You both get to the entrance and he hands the tickets to the person working at the desk. "Where to first?" You pipe up, wanting him to lead the way. You had always liked seeing Marius nerd out over stuff. He always had something new to say, something he'd learned recently or something he just remembered. He also had a bad tendency of telling you stuff he had already told you. "The dinosaurs." He looks back at you and takes a deep breath before looking forward again and walking, making sure you were following.
You were by his side, not wanting to lose him even though the museum was practically empty. There were a few people, some kids running around, but apart from that it was relatively quiet and calm. To his disappointment, your hands were tucked away comfortably in your pockets as you walked. He decides to focus on just walking with you, making sure to walk so close your arm bumps into his. "Oh, sorry." You apologise as you bump into him, completely missing his slight frown when you step away from him to avoid being too much in his personal space.
You continue to walk, making sure he's following you by looking over at him and smiling when you see him. You notice his face is a little flushed. "Everything okay, Marius? You seem a little hot." You point out, briefly looking at his hands before looking back at his face. He seems surprised by your question, and he brings a hand to his face to feel his cheeks. "I'm fine. Just, yeah, a little hot." He tried to play his blush off. The last thing he wants to tell you is that every time you smile, his stomach flips.
He looks away from you and grabs his collar, gently fanning himself by moving it. You observe him for a second, a bit confused. "You know you could just take off your shirt, right?" He pauses for a second. "...I could." He concedes, but he doesn't make any move to take off his crewneck. "My body will even itself out." He shrugs. What the hell was that supposed to mean? You weren't gonna argue with him, however. He'd always been a bit hard headed when he was uncomfortable in one way or another.
You dismiss his stubbornness, knowing the heat he was feeling was probably making him a bit annoyed. You both finally got to the dinosaur exhibit, and you seem to notice tension completely leaving Marius' body as he walks quickly to a dinosaur skeleton. You hadn't noticed he had been so tense, but you were happy he seemed to relax quickly. "Schatzi, come quick! It's a Giraffatitan!" Any awkwardness is gone from his tone as he skims over the text near the skeleton. "They thought that they were brachiosauruses, but there were such major differences in their bones that they had to make a new genus for them."
"The differences were so small but still so significant they deserved their own genus. Isn't that cool? At first, it only had its own subgenus." He continues, looking back and forth between you and the skeleton. You stifle a chuckle, smiling at him. "Yeah, I didn't know that. Tell me more." His smile falters a little as he looks at you. The way you're smiling is making him melt. "Oh, ja, ja so brachiosauruses were..." He starts to ramble as he constantly looks between you and the skeleton, gauging your reaction to his facts, but when he sees you're paying all your attention to him, he starts stuttering.
"So uhm, you know, ja." He finishes awkwardly, before moving to different dinosaurs shown in the museums. You follow him obediently, making sure to stay close so you can read what's written in front of the exhibited pieces before he explains it to you. "The Herrerasaurus is pretty cool too! It's the only species in its genus." Marius starts up again. "It would have been very fast. You see it's leg bones over there?" You nod and hum in response to everything he says.
He starts to explain its biology, his hands moving a bit frantically. He mimics the bones with his hands, miming the movements. He's so animated, you find it endearing. You follow him as he speaks, always having little facts and fun tidbits about the dinosaurs you both crossed. "The Diplodocus is also pretty cool, it also might have lived at the same time as the Allosaurus." He seems proud of himself, of how much he knows. He would be lying to himself if he said he didn't like the fact he had all of your attention.
You're looking at him the whole time he's talking, and his cheeks have been red the entire time. You don't understand why he hasn't taken off his hoodie yet, since he seems to be sweating a bit. His hands are a bit more frantic than usual as he explains, nearly hitting you as he turns his back to you to show you something. He's clearly not paying too much attention to his surroundings, just focusing on telling you all he knows about dinosaurs.
He looks at you again, a big smile on his face when you both exit the dinosaur exhibit. "Did you like it? Did you find it interesting?" He asks excitedly, walking by your side. He's got that look in his eyes, that little sparkle that tells you he's enjoying himself a lot. He gets like that around you a lot, you think. "Yes, Marius." You reassure him with a chuckle, and you see him visibly relax when you speak. "I really don't know how you remember so much stuff like that." You're smiling at him, and he swears his heart just skipped a beat.
"Are you impressed?" He asks, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. He smiles sheepishly, not quite knowing if you're complimenting him or not. "Yes, very. Your memory's impressive." His smile widens, now much more at ease. "I always have more where they came from." He speaks happily, walking by your side. He notices your hands are no longer in your pockets, so he looks down between your hands and face, as if asking permission to take your hand.
You don't notice, however, instead you just point at the space exhibit. "Next! You got any fun facts for me this time?" You put your arm back down to your side and he deliberately tries to lock his pinky with yours, but you move your hand and his pinky only brushes yours. "Ja, I do. I know less about space than dinosaurs though." He chuckles awkwardly as you both walk into the exhibit.
The exhibit is darker, the walls littered with glow in the dark stars and different drawings of planets. The atmosphere is instantly more intimate, the low lights and soft music a stark contrast to the lights in the dinosaur exhibit. Marius glances between your hand and face again, before just deciding to commit and he takes your hand in his, dragging you to a part of the exhibit he seems to know. It catches you off guard and your hands start to sweat a little from the heat of his on yours.
You allow yourself to be dragged away by his hand, but the moment you both reach the part of the exhibit about meteors, you let go of his hand, feeling that yours was becoming too sweaty. You wipe your hand discreetly on yourself, not noticing his disappointment when you let go. "Meteors are cool too, did you know that the colour of the trail that they leave in the sky tells you what they're made of?" His tone sounds a little less exciting than earlier, but he still gets in your personal space, brushing his hand against yours as though he was testing the waters again.
As he explains, he seems a little less upbeat but the longer he goes on, the more he shakes off his disappointment. His pinky grabs yours, and since the space exhibit is busier, you realize he might not want to lose you in the crowd. So, you keep your finger intertwined in his, and it seems to lift his mood significantly. His finger tightens around yours as he leads you around, telling you facts and reading the descriptions on the plaques. He slowly moved his hand to hold yours in a tighter grip, not minding the fact that your hands were very sweaty.
You don't pick up on his pulse, or on the way he stutters a little when you look up at him and your grip tightens on his hand. Every time you let go of his hand to wipe the sweat off, he immediately reaches for it again, without looking at you. The museum only grows more and more crowded, so you actually like holding his hand, not wanting to lose him.
You both finally exit the exhibit, and you let go of his hand, since the crowd is less thick outside. He stretches, before turning to you. "Is there any other exhibit you wanted to see?" You shake your head, checking the time. "No, I'm getting hungry though. We should get dinner." You mention as you both walk towards the gift shop. "Together?" He asks immediately, a smile gracing his face. "Yeah, of course! We might as well. I just need to go to the washroom first."
You walk away from him and head to the washrooms to do your business. As you check yourself out in the mirror, you fix your hair. You never really cared about your appearance around him before, considering you had both seen each other at your worst, but now you were a little worried he'd notice if you didn't look your best. He'd been acting so strange lately. You were already used to all the touching, to him coming over whenever. It felt a little strange, that he was acting so formally around you, but you brushed it off.
You walk out of the washroom, brushing your clothes with your hands, making sure they are straight. He spots you exiting and walks up to you, a proud smile on his face. "I'm here, we can-" You cut yourself off when you notice that he's hiding his hands behind his back. "What are you hiding?" You ask suspiciously, looking up at him. "You have to guess." He replies in a cheeky manner.
You think for a second, before a smile grows on your face. "Oh, you bought me something, didn't you?" His grin is wide as he pulls the thing out from behind his back. "Yes." The gift in question is a triceratops plush, the soft kind he knows you like. The way your eyes lit up when you look at the plush, then at him make his heart skip a beat. You take the plush from him in a hurry, hugging it tightly to test the softness. You let go of it and you can't help yourself from chuckling at the surprise.
"Thank you Marius." You pull him into a tight hug, and he's surprised at first, but relaxes into it after. He hugs you back, burying his face in the crook of your neck. He doesn't want to let go. In this hold, you can feel his heartbeat and it's going insanely fast. You try to pull away, but he holds you a little too tight and you can't really move. You get the message, he wants to hug you a little longer.
He finally lets you pull away, and you swear you've never seen you've never seen him this happy or flushed in your life. "Are you okay?" You hold in a laugh. "Ja, I am. I'm just having a good time. We should do this again too, ja? Bitte." He wants to take your hand again, but you're holding the plush with both so he doesn't. Instead, you both start walking side by side to the exit. "I'd love to. You know I always love doing things with you." He had never asked please to do something with you, but you didn't mind.
As you walk outside next to him, it starts to snow. The snow starts to coat his hair and yours, the individual snowflakes visible on it. The cool air is refreshing, the perfect thing after a day of walking around in a museum. Marius looks at you as you both walk to the car, and though you know him very well, you have no idea what's going through his head right now. You have no idea his heart is beating that hard for you.

Your HC about Jäger being a killer cook is freaking real, and I can't quit thinking about him offering cooked items. Making and giving is his love language; it just is.
Soooo, ☝
Just a little idea to put in any oneshots/short stories/and or hc
Jäger is a gift giver through and through. He also loves doing acts of service!! Give him the keys to your flat? The entirety of your flat is gonna be completely clean by the time you come home from work. Blame his lack of work to do whilst on leave. He will do your laundry, cook for you, helps you with anything remotely technical. He changes your tires to winter tires when it gets too cold, you don't even have to ask, he's already there.
Oh, you really liked that article of clothing you saw a few weeks ago? Now it's at your doorstep. What is it? You take your coffee a certain way every morning? He has that memorized, you never need to remind him. Oh, you're too tired to cook and eat tonight? Worry not, he's already bringing you dinner. He 100% brings you a fresh loaf of baked bread every week.
He's the epitome of "don't worry, I got this for you". This will 100% be in my future oneshot/fics.

to elaborate on rally co-driver!Jäger...
This man is your driving coach. He acts as your manager for your races, he's always there for you when you need him for anything. He's even your mechanic, he takes care of your car, helps you maintain it and takes you training with him often.
You trained overtime once and Jäger showed up at the track with coffee and baked goods, homemade. He's a bit protective, won't let you do tough tracks without him in the car, guiding you. He doesn't trust other co-drivers.
And when you win your first race? You run into his arms, nearly tackling him to the ground. He has an arm around your waist and a hand on the back of your helmet, holding you close to him. He helps you to the podium, getting your prize. He's proud of you and it shows. There are no pictures of you without him. The entire night, the entire celebration with the rest of your team, he's with you, making sure you're not overdoing it with drinking.
God, he sure seems to like you a lot.

Jäger put his last ADS down near an entry point, and took a deep breath. He could hear his teammates moving about, setting up site for the imminent entry of the attackers. Though he knew it was only practice, he was still very on edge, with Mira calling the shots.
He checked his mags and took a mental map of how the site was set up, before Mira yelled out a few orders. "Jäger, Caveira! You're both roaming, understood? Jäger, you head for the east entrance, Cav, go for the west entrance." Jäger and Caveira both nodded and headed to their respective positions.
The building was quiet, except for the sounds of his teammates walking upstairs. Though he's done this multiple times, he can't help but feel stressed. He takes a shaky breath in as he roams the hallways, keeping an eye and ear out for anything out of place. He can't hear anything but his own breathing and heartbeat. It's nerve wracking, hearing the sound of his own footsteps bouncing off the walls.
His grip on his gun tightens as he peeks around corners, making sure the way is clear. He's worried, looking over his shoulder constantly, he does not want to get flanked. His team depends on him after all. His headphones crackle to life, with a desperate call from Blitz. "ONE SECOND FLOOR, CASH ROOM, FU-" The radio cuts off, leaving him in eerie silence once again.
He's not sure if Caveira will be going after the person on the second floor, and right as he decides to continue roaming, he gets a transmission from Cav. "I'm dealing with Ace over here, Jäger go after him!" She's clearly out of breath, so he sneaks his way to the second floor. He quickly gets to the server room to find it completely empty.
It's eerily quiet upstairs, the distant sounds of gun fights in the background. He clears the server room, aiming his gun at anything he finds suspicious, before peeking in the cash room carefully. He walks in slowly, making his footsteps as quiet as he possibly can. The only sounds audible are the beeping and buzzing of the electronics in the room.
He hears his own breathing as he peeks at an angle, keeping an ear out for any footsteps. He turns suddenly, having an odd feeling of being tracked. There's no one there. He's just met with an empty room as he peers into the garage. He watches it for way longer than he should. It might just be the atmosphere, but something is making him more on edge than usual.
Then, he hears a single footstep. He turns instantly, only to be met with a wall. Scheiße. He decides to rotate back to the points, knowing he's most likely already been spotted. He moves quickly, but whoever is hot on his trail moves quicker. He doesn't hear anyone as he makes his way back to the stairs. Then, he gets a gut feeling. His heart drops as he immediately turns around to shoot.
Unfortunately, he gets met with the hard concrete wall against his back. His gun had fallen out of his hands, the violence of the pin having him disoriented. "You should be more careful, cariño." Jackal's voice is hushed as he presses the blade of his knife against Jäger's throat. Jager can't feel the cold of the blade thanks to his balaclava, but he can feel the sharpness of it and the pressure Jackal is putting on it.
Words fail him as his breathing gets more laboured. He really wants to reply with a quip, but all he can do is stare. "Cat's got your tongue, amor?" Jäger shakes his head quickly. "N-no, you just scared me." He feels almost relaxed at the sight of Jackal, despite being held at knife-point. The pressure Jackal is applying to his knife lightens.
Jäger's hand comes up to hold Jackal's on the knife. Jackal has a cheeky smile, but Jäger is still trying to calm himself down from the sudden scare. "You're dead and out, Marius." Jackal speaks, before completely withdrawing his knife. "Thought so." Jäger chuckles quietly. Jackal lifts Jäger's balaclava just high enough to see his mouth and closes the very small distance between them, kissing him. Jäger kisses him back without hesitation, just wanting to enjoy this small moment of "privacy" between the both of them.
Jackal pulls away, and Jäger can't help but smile. "Good luck, liebe." They can both hear footsteps from the upper floors, so they go quiet for a second. Jackal completely moved himself off of Jäger. He continues his way up the stairs and looks back at him. "You better go before my good mood runs out, my love." He's teasing him, and Jäger just shakes his head, a grin plastered on his face.
Jackal disappears around the corner and Jäger sighs. He pulls his balaclava down and makes his way out of the building, only to be greeted by the blinding sun once outside. What a fucking dick. He thinks. He'd never admit just how much he likes it though. Not even with a knife to his throat.

I’ll Catch A Grenade For You
Part one of Jäger x male reader
Requested by @justagenderfluidstuff
It had been a few years since y/n had seen his regular favourite customer in the little café he was working in. He was genuinely worried and was missing Marius, considering he used to come in almost everyday. Now not coming in at all.
After y/n had finished wiping down the tables, and stacking the chairs, he takes a short breath looking out the window. Was his eyes lying to him, was he really looking at Marius, whom was looking right back at him. They locked eyes and Marius smiles at y/n and waves. He says hello however the window glass was just too thick, blocking out the sound. Y/n gasped it was really him, his favourite customer. He runs outside so he can properly greet him. “Marius hello, where have you been?” Y/n had asked him, having to stop himself from running up and giving Marius a hug. “Sorry I’ve been busy, working on the ADS I didn’t have time to visit for a coffee” he tells y/n. “Oh, I remembered you mentioned something about that. How’d it go?” Y/n smiles up at him, as he was only a little bit shorter. “Well it was successful, everyone said I couldn’t do it, and that it was impossible, but I proved them wrong.” Marius explained. Y/n cheered, and couldn’t help himself but to wrap his arms around Marius and giving him a big squeeze, slightly lifting him up off the ground, Marius’ toes where the only thing keeping him connected to the ground. “Well I believed you could do it, because I knew you could” y/n excitedly claimed. Putting Marius back down and releasing him from the right squeeze. Marius stunned and shocked from the reaction. He wasn’t even sure how to respond, or what to say. He was speechless. “I…um…coffee” was all he could managed to actually get out. Y/n frowned. “We just finished cleaning up” y/n had told him and thought for a second. “You know what, why not celebrate your success. We could go out for dinner.” Y/n suggested, he wanted to be bold, and not hesitate of asking out Marius. See Marius was y/n’s favourite customer because y/n had a little crush on him. but he had a feeling that it wasn’t clear that he meant as a date, or if he messed up, maybe he shouldn’t of asked Marius out for dinner. Considering he was silent for a short while. “Yes of course” Marius smiled as he finely spoke. “I’ll see if a few friends would like to join us” y/n sighed softly. “Um yeah sure, you contact them, and I’ll text you the details” He hide his sadness behind a smile, he didn’t want other people there, but he didn’t what to seem like he was gonna be rude by telling him otherwise. “Okay. See you soon” Marius waves, and was about to walk off, before y/n grabbed his hand to stop him. “Hm?” Marius looked at him confused. “I need your number silly” y/n smiles, and laughed a little, a blush peeked across his cheeks as he realised he was technically hold his hand. “Oh yeah.” Marius smiles back at y/n, and pulls out his phone from his back pocket, he opens up the contact app and creates new before handing the phone to y/n. Y/n puts in his contact information, and handing Marius back his phone. Marius pulled his hand away and sent a quick message to y/n. “:)” And he was off.
