Lestat would find himself in about 90% fewer situations if he weren't the sort of person that a) asks everyone for their advice and then does the opposite and b) spends about five seconds considering a course of action before going forward, and c) will frequently do the complete opposite of whatever someone asks out of sheer bloody-mindedness.
