If somebody asks what love is to you, you’ll probably answer them with one simple thing.

Maybe it was too melodramatic and all that. But hey, you weren’t kidding. For you, the very definition of that so-called love will always be him. What was it about him that made your perception about love be like that anyway?

Was it his eyes that hold so much adoration whenever he looks at you—whenever he pulls you right into his arms and whispers sweet nothings to you when you lay next to each other? Maybe that was it.

Or rather, it was the way he twirls you while dancing around the home you two built. The exchange of laughter, the clumsiness whenever you bump into something, the way that both your eyes disappear when looking at each other with that upward curve that your lips form. The messages that you send each other, the way that the tip of his fingers ran through your skin—feeling that exciting current, coursing through your veins—igniting all you nerves to get your heart pumping at an unrelenting pace.

Basically, it was everything that you do with him and especially, him.

Everything was perfect and here you thought that it would never turn out this way because you believe that arranged marriages always end up in complete chaos. Perhaps, your marriage was the exception of that one because here you are, with him—happily married.

“Uh-huh. But I enjoy it more when you work there.” you retaliated and pointed at the bedroom eliciting a chuckle from Ran, seeing the way he’s looking at you right now, you know that you have roused something in him that’s too early for tonight.

“Too early for dessert, darling—” he was about to go to you when numerous doorbell interrupts him—actually, your whole night.

“Stay here.” he specifically instructed and you immediately nodded, a wary tone was evident on his voice considering his line of work. Who the fuck would go to your house this late and disturb the nice evening that you were having with your husband?

Can’t be his brother because he told him—many times actually, that he can’t be bothered tonight.

However, the evident frown written on Ran’s face vanished as soon as he saw who the person was behind that door. His face softens as well as his voice—followed by the rapid beating of his heart that he has chosen to be oblivious to. “What… are you doing here?”

“I… I’m s-sorry. I really don’t know where to go.” she sobbed, tears flooding her eyes that made his heart feel like it was being squeezed inside his chest—the continuous shaking of her shoulders couldn’t go unnoticed. “I-I’m not bothering you, right? You’re the only one I know here. Ran, I fucked up. I need you.”

Was she bothering?

Probably not.

She was never a bother—not to everyone who knows her, especially not to him. But he shouldn’t do this, right? “R-ran.”

But it seems like with one just call of his name from her, all that coherent thoughts was no longer considered. All that he cares about is the woman who was crying in front of him—how could he not? She was the first one to win the heart of the Ran Haitani.

“C’mere.” he said in a soft voice, pulling her close to his chest—encasing her in his arms to make her feel safe. “I’m here. Everything’s going to be alright.”

You were aware that she’s the one—and always has been the love of his life. Maybe you were just too blinded to the point that you’ll see what you want to see and believe what you wanted to believe.

You can’t bring yourself to be mad because you always deem yourself as the villain who put an end to their fairytale.

What you feel was probably nothing compared to what they have gone through when they were apart. So, how could you? How could you bring yourself to tell them that this scene before you was breaking your heart?

Your worst nightmare was playing endlessly in front of you and yet, the only thing that you could do was to stand there and watch it and you had hoped that you didn’t because every single second you spent there was beating the truth to your face.

The truth was unfolding in front of you but you couldn't bring yourself to look away.

And the truth is, the love Ran has for you would never be like that. That it is bullshit that you were certain of his feelings for you. No one can ever come close to the love he has for her, not even you—he just ‘loved’ you because he’s being asked to and you’re a fool for not realizing that all of it was just lies.

It was worse when your eyes met—lavender hues staring into yours with that apologetic look that made you feel so small. And yet, all you could do was give the most understanding smile and mouthed the words that were in contrast to what you really feel.

‘It’s okay.’

Was it?

Ran knew it was unfair to you, but at the end of the day you’re still the one he has to go home to, right? At the end of the day, you’re still the woman who gets to lay down beside him.

She just needs him as of this moment, you could understand, right? Perhaps, you were really fine with this because you get to keep him—be with him forever.

But does he really want to be with you?

Though, he said it himself—he loves you, he cares for you. But every second, you realize that there is a big difference in the way that he looks at you and her. There's an unnoticeable amount of emotions just from his eyes while he’s with her.

It’s clear who holds his heart and it sure is not the woman he exchanged vows with. It isn't the woman he had promised to be with in sickness and in health—it was always her.

Now, when somebody asks you.

3. what do you call each other?

➵ I call him ‘dork’ and he calls me ‘dummy’, cause we have a kind of love-hate frenemies relationship.

4. who confessed first?

➵ Once I realised the magnitude of my feelings I avoided him cause I was really embarrassed about it because we were supposed to hate each other (yk, classic academic rivals). Then one day he trapped me in a room to force me to talk to him again and he confessed. I also like to rub it in his face cause the blush that blooms is so adorable, not that I’d admit it to him.

5. how long have you been together?

➵ One year but he proposed after 9 months. I didn’t answer right away to make him stew but we’re currently engaged.

6. are you affectionate?

➵ No and neither is he, we tend to communicate through light-hearted insults but we do cuddle at night and pretend it never happened in the morning. He will, however, hold my hand in public. I do like to do little things for him but I’ll make it seem like I didn’t do it. 

➵ There’s something about his laugh that has me doing the goofiest things just to hear it - he thinks I’m a nutjob.

➵ All of the Bonten members love me and can I blame them?💁 But I pretend to hate Sanzu cause it’s funny and Rin finds it funny too. They find it weird and amusing to see how his demeanour changes when I’m present, even if he denies it.

➵ Usually we stay in and just chill with each other, but sometimes Rin likes to take me out to dinner to show me off. It’s also nice when we go for motorbike rides as the sun sets, hair whipping in the wind as I clutch his waist.

➵ Sometimes I do plan spontaneous dates which Rin will happily take part in, cause he loves me.

12. your favourite date?

➵ Rin taking me out on his motorbike just as the sun began to set, riding through the streets, the lights flashing by as my hair whipped in the wind. He took me to a beach and held me tightly, his chin resting on my head as we watched the sun set, the ocean glimmered in unforgettable pinks, oranges and reds.

I honestly can't remember what drew me to him. It could have been a number of things. Maybe his quietness or his unique smile. I just feel like one day he was there and in my life and I never questioned it.

Just immediately accepted it. Like he had always been there.

3.) What is your favorite thing about them?

There's too many to list...

I love how driven and passionate he is. How dedicated. Determined. Focused.

Again, we're not physical people, in every sense of the word. I'd say it depends on his feelings again, but even towards those he really loves and cares about he still only show a little most of the time.

I feel like it would take him a long time to say it, if ever. I think he falls easily, but keeps it all inside. Maybe tries to make himself get over it before it really even starts. Before it gets more out of hand. Tries not to think about it. I feel he thinks love is too complicated. Takes up too much time. Too distracting.

But when he truly does, he loves silently and feels that the other should already know by his actions.

8.) Who would be more easily flustered?

Depends. Depends on the situation I think.

He can easily get flustered at times, but also seeing it from a stand point of our current relationship, him, who he his, and me, an ARMY, I'm always constantly flustered over him.

Considering the positions we sleep in, we may not have one.

There's a couple.

White: Not only because it's his favorite color, but I just feel it represents him well. And not in the obvious "bright" way that white usually is associated with.

More so in a sense of a soft, calm way.

Open to ideas. Space.

And not space in a big, wide, open area, but as in his own personal space.

Not to mention white looks good on him, in every way.

Red: Red has always been a color I've associated with Yoongi. That's the color I tend to see whenever I see his name.

Red also looks very good on him.

White is his perfect shade, but red is his bold color.

He has white days. He has red days. Sometimes he's both at once. Sometimes even creating pink.
