unfortunately i can say that, in a while, most of them will act as if this didn't happen, just like all the other times disney did something similar. if it doesn't bow down and shrink itself for their comfort, why should they care? most of them rather stay in their blissful ignorance, convincing themselves the rat cares about them because it's way more convenient like that.

fact is that a lot of white lgbtq+ people rather consume white/white gaze-y queerbait than poc queer media. :b

honestly if it takes a whole leaked episode of a cartoon show they didnt even glance at because it wasnt For Them for white queer people to realize that disney literally doesnt give a shit about them then im at least glad their rose tinted mickey mouse shaped sunglasses finally got snapped in fucking half.

Raise a glass for the final episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks season 5, which airs in a few hours.

This show was such a staple in improving my mental health after one of the most traumatizing chapters of my life, and I'm sad to see it go. I wish it lasted longer and hope that it gets picked by another network.🥹

But until then, I'd like to thank everyone involved with the show for making such a fun, whacky, adventurous and heartfelt piece of media 💖💖
