Thinking about where I'm at in Trails to Azure and I think I'm gonna pop off if Dieter Crois hired the Red Constellation to sack Crossbell, casting suspicion on Erebonia since they were on the record as being on Osborne's payroll during the Trade Conference.

(also it's obvious that KeA is going to cause/become The Big Tree and Mariabell has some kind of hand in that, what with the conversation on the boat and then KeA's mystery phone call, so suspicion is already being cast on the Crois family anyway)

I feel like more Trails fans should talk about how Mariabell Crois just tried to get into Vita Clotilde’s pants. And also how she’s apparently equally pervy and thirsty as Shirley Orlando and Angelica Rogner.

I recall that it was implied that Alberich used alchemy that came from the crois family

Yes, I think Mariabelle actually mentioned at some point that Alberich basically stole it from the Crois family. However we do not know how much he stole and used. It is possible he only stole the basics behind it and develop it further in his own way, but it is also possible that he took the whole idea and just tweaked it here and there. Given how KeA existed only because of the Alchemy of the Crois family and they managed to imbed her with the power of a fake septerion, it is more likely that he stole most of the whole idea and only tweaked it here and there, seeing how he created both Millium and Altina as possible vessels for the Sword.

But questions like that get never fully answered by Falcom.

Ouroboros' Third Anguis, the Wellspring Alchemist

A high-ranking member of Ouroboros and one of the newst additions to the society.

As a member of the Crois family, she was involved in the project to recreate the Sept-Terrion of Mirage. As such, her knowledge of alchemy and sorcery are unmatched. In addition, she served as CEO of the International Bank of Crossbell for a time.

Though she used KeA, a homunculus created by her ancestors, to successfully create the Sept-Terrion of Zero, after Lloyd and the SSS saved the girl, Mariabell decided to let things be and left Crossbell.

Afterward, she was invited by the Grandmaster to join Ouroboros as the new Third Anguis. As the curse falls over Erebonia, she makes her return to her former home...
