[...] Do not be afraid.”#the idea that 'yes you are the final law of this world but not of them all. i can create another one'#also some of the other elements to consider wrt the figure of death concept:#the coins necessary for admittance to the university (reminiscent of those given to the dead as a payment for the ferryman)#+ the instances farit's appearance is likened to an illuminated skull (one of the most harrowing being the last temptation offer to sasha)#+ the students almost being considered dead to the outside world once they cross the threshold of the town#idk it's just a really interesting aspect for me#realizing i probably went a little overboard with all the quotes. well. just know that i had to hold myself back from adding even more 👩🏻💻

Share your wallpaper: my phone lock screen and home screen are me with my boss joe and me meeting ethel kennedy respectively. my old laptop's (that i still use for work stuff because it's the one that has word downloaded on it) wallpaper is a picture of alone together by maria kreyn, my current laptop's wallpaper is a detail of il bacio by francesco hayez.
Last song you listened to: i can't go on without you by kaleo.
Last Show: i'm rewatching the originals, i honestly could not tell you the last new tv show i consumed, closest i can get is that i recently finished a complete re-binge of all four seasons of wolf 359.
Craving: honestly just good ciabatta with some homemade mayo that my mom makes (it's more acidic than storebought because i like things acidic and we tend to eat it with asparagus). also a roast chicken.
What you are wearing right now: i'm feeling lazy cuz i'm done with school until the fall so i'm honestly in my loungewear, which is basically black cashmere sweatpants and my pajama top (it's beige).
How tall are you: 5'8.
Piercings: none, i have a horrendous pain tolerance.
Tattoos: none, see above.
Glasses or contacts: i am the only person in my immediate family who doesn't need glasses at all, i've got perfect vision. i lord it over my little sister constantly cuz she's basically blind as a bat.
Last drink: tap water with ice.
Last thing you ate: chicken rubbed in smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, a bit of famous dave's, and olive oil, cooked in the pan with a bit of olive oil, a modified version of toum, leftover baguette, strawberries, and then a chocolate chip cookie. i'd planned on making rice but then i forgot.
Favorite color: red i think.
Current obsession: adhd means i've got twenty thousand on a given day that are all cycling through my head at top speed and have been for at least a year, but this week it appears to be batfam (bruce wayne was little amelie's very first blorbo) and an asoue resurgence due to the recent fandom gift exchange and all the subsequent content i've been consuming.
Favorite fictional character: right now, victor frankenstein.
The last place you traveled: my family splits our time between seattle and carmel, california, and as i'm in seattle right now, that means the last place i traveled was carmel.
